Generous portions, nicely presented. Our server was super kind and nice, he made sure we all got everything we needed and they even surprised us with some sweets. Great location with plenty of parking, nice ambience, everyone was friendly. Several vegan options or vegetarian dishes that could be made vegan.

This is my second time having dinner here since it’s kind of far from my house. Luckily, all the foods taste so good and are large portions for me. I can tell this restaurant serves one of the best Asian foods in the area. The owner and his family are so friendly and super nice; they even made me feel like I’m in my hometown with really good service. Highly recommended!

Maybe the best meal I've had in my life? Not just another Thai or South Asian restaurant. Burmese cuisine truly has its own special flavors. The food was so fresh and generously portioned. Highly recommend the tea leaf salad, the beef curry, the noodle soup, and the banana roll desert! Staff was wonderful and genuinely excited to share their food with people. I would drive from Cleveland just to go to this restauraunt.

Great new spot. Family owned so they care!! Big menu selection with good variety between Burmese and Thai. Decor needs some improvement but that will come with time.

This place is not halal food and they sell the food to students saying that halal food they have is and they did separate cooking,one of my chid eat with his friends and I just found out when my son talk about Burmese food,I did call the restaurant and talk to with them about it and they ignored it ,they said they will call me later because right now a lot customer ,please all Muslim people from other countries or here before you eat always check the certificate from halal logos,they lied about religious thing.

Very authentic food, and very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was cooked perfectly and portions were large! Gem of a place for Thai food and a must try if you haven’t been there.

I was frankly blown away by the quality of my meal. I got two meals, half of each for dinner then leftovers for lunch the next day. Yaki soba (with tofu) which was very good, and the sesame chicken. I’ve eaten quite a lot of Asian food many cultures, and that sesame chicken is by far the best Asian dish I have ever had, and one of the best dishes I have had period. The sauce is extremely flavorful and well balanced, the chicken was tender and they use quality meat, even the broccoli was cooked perfectly and had a pleasant nutty flavor. The staff are also super friendly and the portions generous. The Thai boba tea is tasty too. Can’t wait to go back!

Update: Oct 12, 2024. Went there again today but my past experience took a 180° turn. We visited again to Buffalo from Toronto and this restaurant was one of the attractions of our trip but the experience was lackluster today. We found the food pricey and oily. Took vegan again and some curry dish comes with a complementary brown or white rice. We asked for brown but were served white instead. Upon asking to change the server reinforced that white is tastier than brown and didn't offer to replace. The recipes seemed to be changed too, the peanut sauce that used to come with veggie fresh summer roll was changed with some chunky peanut sauce as in the photo. After today's experience we will not be returning there again and knocking 2 stars off from my past review.

This place lives well up to its reviews and beyond. Visited there with my family of three and had plentiful and satisfying vegan meals along with regular dishes containing meat. The owner personally came to our table and chatted with us. Not to forget the generous portions of food and the ice cream sundae that was unique of its kind. Will visit there again.

First time trying Roma and absolutely loved it! Ordered take out and while I waited a kind woman brought me a samosa. Delicious. I was struck by how immaculate the restaurant is! I will go back to eat in. Glad to see they have beer and wine. Coconut shrimp may be the best I’ve had, and that considering it was takeout. Pumpkin Curry was amazing!!! It is stew-like and poured over rice. Heaven. Roma Ginger was delicious. It had a silky ginger sauce accented by basil and delicious crisp vegetables. Yaki Udon and Pad Kee Mow were also wonderful according to my sons. This is a new favorite for us and worth the trip from wherever you are.

If you live in WNY and you are in the mood for authentic Thai flavors, you need to visit Roma! Wow. Take me to flavor town lol. I’m Australian and since arriving here I have been craving Thai food, with all of its depth of flavors and this lived up to my VERY high expectations! A very cute and unassuming restaurant with friendly staff which always is a nice surprise, since it’s become rare for attentive AND friendly people to work in service. Now this is your warning on the spice levels. Thai chilies definitely get those taste buds dancing, so if you’re not used to this cuisine start at mild and work your way up. I listened to all the reviews and ordered the Pad Kee Mow and let me tell you, I am not even a fan of flat noodles but this blew me away! A must try. The Green Curry in medium was perfectly fragrant with a beautiful depth that almost made me cry lol. The Papaya salad is crazy, spicy hot. I would recommend having this salad without spice to act as a palate cleanser. The Samosas had such a gorgeous filling, perfect when you are wanting to explore items outside of spring rolls. Thai Fried rice was delicious and full of flavor and not greasy at all. This is what was so impressive, everything was clean and flavor forward not dripping in grease which seems to be the norm here. We are still talking about our experience since Sunday, and planning our next order for next time already! Thank you!

Incredible food and incredible owners / service

By far one of the best Burmese food I have tried in the USA. It’s unexpectedly great homemade style food with supreme flavors. Mark Wiens should definitely visit this place and make it super popular! We tried the tea leaf salad, Burmese curry with goat and the ice cream all dishes were a 10/10.

Not sure how they have 4.9 rating. We waited 30 minutes before someone even came to take our order, and then just under another hour after that before the food came. The food was just okay, even with being very hungry. Not very powerful flavors, which you can usually expect from Thai food. There seemed to be only one adult working in the entire restaurant.

The pad kee mow was absolutely delicious. Couldn't stop thinking about it for days! Will return!

The most japanese Burmese restaurant. Fabulous food, kind people.

It’s a must try Burmese restaurant when you come to Buffalo, NY. We enjoyed all the food we ordered and had to double some orders. Rakine Moteti and papaya salad are my favorites. Good food with amazing service. Will definitely visit again when I come here.

This was my first time at Roma. I’ve been wanting to check them out for some time after seeing all their great reviews. They did not disappoint! I did read one review that said the food seemed too sweet and I have to admit that the Tom Kha was pretty sweet and seemed to be thickened with something like corn starch. That is the only reason I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars. Everything else was so delicious! The prices seem a little steep but the portions are big and the soups are enough for 3-4 people to share as an app. Everyone that works there was very kind and they gave us free spring rolls and a Thai iced tea to go. I didn’t try the spring rolls yet but the Thai iced tea was super good!

Oh my gosh!!! We cannot say enough good things about this place. Best meal I’ve had in the entire US. The service of owner was the icing on the cake absolutely spectacular. The foods were very authentic to us and super duper delicious. Roma Special Noodle soup Rakhine Monti is very attentive to detail, and literal flavor bombs going off from the first bite to the last which was what we had in our country ( Myanmar ). The owner gave us 6 Thai Ice Tea and Banana ice-cream as a free. What a lovely wonderful treat. The food I never write reviews but I had to after this experience.

The food is incredible, and the hospitality is exceptional. If you have the chance to visit, don't miss out on the chef-recommended Burmese and Thai dishes. You won't regret it.

We had dinner here on Saturday, June 22nd. Our first time. The food was excellent. We've been to Thailand and have tasted authentic, tasty, Thai food. The dishes were spicy when they should be, hot and steaming when they should be and chilled when they should be. The owner/chef was very engaging and helpful when making our selections and charming to chat with throughout our visit. If you like really great Thai food, go to Roma!

Just home from an amazing meal with my wife and mother-in-law. Wow is all I can say. I dont live in the Buffalo area and have done a fair share of travels both domestic and international. I have to admit my food snobbery went in with modest expectations. This place is the real deal and then some ! Sanlin (owner, cook, waiter and all around gentle soul) has created a space where the food is better than most Southeast Asian restaurants in places with a way higher profile. Fresh spring rolls use the freshest of ingredients. The papaya salad had the texture and spice that left a big ole smile on my face. My wife, a curry devotee, had a yellow curry dish that unfortunately didnt make it to the take out bag because there was nothing left to take. My MIL had pad thai that would make other restaurants jealous.

Bottom line, support your local restaurant Buffalo. This one is a keeper that hopefully lasts a long time.

A fabulous owner, delicious food great service and decent (if not spectacular atmosphere). We had tea leaf salad (owner suggestion) a penang curry and a mango curry with rice. The owner gave us a free pot of Burmese tea and a free dessert (banana spring roll with vanilla ice cream. The dining area is very clean and nice. The price was very reasonable considering the generous portions. If you like Burmese/Thai food you need to give this place a try. It has my highest recommendation. A real treat!

My wife and I were in the neighborhood for a meeting, after which we began looking for a Thai restaurant and found this gem. We arrived at an off-time, so the restaurant wasn't busy, and we were seated immediately by who I assume was the owner. After reviewing the menu, I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken (medium spicy), and my wife ordered the Panang Curry with tofu, also medium spicy. I also noticed that the menu offered a good selection of Asian beers. The owner served us and was very patient in answering any questions we had about ingredients, etc. He kindly brought out two samosas for us to try with dipping sauce, and they were delicious--flaky and warm. The soups that came with our orders were also hot, flavorful, and full of veggies and mushrooms. The main dishes arrived, and both the pad Thai and curry looked wonderful. The kitchen was spot-on with the spiciness. Both dishes were excellent and we enjoyed them. The owner then kindly brought out a dessert for two that, like the samosas, we hadn't ordered. How wonderful. While we live some distance away and were in the neighborhood for an entirely different purpose, we plan on returning to this restaurant soon. Highly recommended!

I went to this place with a few friends last weekend. What an amazing experience it was! We ordered the chicken wings, crab rangoon, a few soup noodle dishes (Roma spl, Tom yum, Tom ka gha). Everything was delicious especially the Tom yum soup noodle. We chatted with the owner for a few mins and it was a great cultural exchange! Although this place looks like a hole in the wall spot from the outside, I was amazed by their taste, portion size (was huge!) and quality of the food. A must recommended restaurant to have good food. Unfortunately I don’t live here but next time I visit Niagara Falls, I might visit this place again!

We stopped here for a late lunch. The menu had a lot of vegetarian options. We had the Mango curry with rice which was really good. We also ordered the Pineapple fried rice, Pad kee Maw was also good. They served free dessert at the end which tasted good.

I think I found a new favorite restaurant in Buffalo! This place really is a gem, the food is amazing and the owners were very friendly and kind. I got pad kee mow and iced thai tea. I also had the sesame chicken, which was probably the best chicken dish I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend either dishes along with the drink. I’m sure everything else on the menu is just as great. There is plenty of parking space which is very convenient. The restaurant was clean and cute, it had a relaxed vibe. Excited to go back!

This place is an absolute hidden gem in WNY! I am so glad I came across it. We tried the Thai tea, Ceab rangoons, Samosas, Pad kee Mow, Tom Yum Fried Rice and Pad Ka Pow and honestly everything was a 10/10. The flavours are the closest I’ve had to authentic thai dishes outside of thailand and the best part is - they serve halal meat! The portions are huge. This is a family owned business and the owner is so sweet, he made conversation and paid extra attention to each and every patron that was there! It seemed like they really put love into what they do and they’re very passionate about serving the community. If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to give this place a try!

What a tiny jewel of authenticity. The green papaya salad (no vinegar, yay!) paired perfectly with tomyam soup and goat Burmese curry. And the Basil fried rice was rich in aroma. Spring rolls weren't the best, unfortunately.

Just the best

This was the best Thai food I have ever had in the area. The workers were extremely helpful and nice. I highly recommend the Samosa, Tom Yum Soup and the Pad Kee Mow. I asked the owner to give me his recommendations on the most flavorful dishes full of vegetables. These did not disappoint. They were fantastic! I never leave reviews and I was moved to write this one.

Our first time here, the service was excellent. Absolutely enjoyed our meal, & thank you to the owners for the free dessert, banana rolls with ice cream SOOO GOOOD! We will be back!

Every Burmese dish was medocre. The tea salad was the best of the five we had, but even that wasn't worth ordering again. Don't bother with the Burmese curry, Burmese fried rice, Roma special Noodle soup, Burmese fried rice, and Roma crown haddock. The stir fried pork rib was terrible: barely any meat on the bones, overcooked, and flavor was lacking.

Came the night before the eclipse and they were far busier than usual and struggling to keep up. But the priorietor was doing a little bit of everything and they made sure everyone's needs were seen to! The food is excellent and portions are large. The tea leaf salad is incredible and the fish soup was also great - but come hungry.

We ordered a quick dinner and happen to strike a conversation, learned how he started this business up and also witnessed how other patrons are well treated. Totally RECOMMENDED!! Roma Thai has been the most hospitable restaurant I’ve been to in buffalo. The owner is very kind and gave us free Thai iced teas and gave us free summer rolls to take home. He also allowed us to try some of their famous goat curry and we will definitely be coming back to try their goat curry again. We enjoyed our experience and the food was amazing! The noodle soups have a unique flavor that I’ve never had anywhere else and the classic Thai dishes such as pad kee mao had a perfect amount of spice and flavor. The homemade samosas were also delicious and authentic.

Small, quiet hidden gem, the owner was so courteous. The food was beyond amazing. The Panang Curry was delicious, perfectly balanced with coconut sweetness and curry heat. Will definitely make this a go-to from now on.

This review is only based on the pad thai. It had a lot of peanuts in it which was nice, it was good but the flavor had almost a sweet vinegary taste which I wasn't crazy about.

Roma Thai is easily one of my favorite restaurants. The staff here is so friendly and the food is amazing!

This place was SO good. Came across it by accident when we had an urge for Thai. Bubble tea on point (try the mango!) and the pad kee mao was delicious. Family owned and everyone was incredibly friendly. Would definitely return and highly recommend!

Date night and decided to try someplace new. It was outstanding. The food, the service and the experience blew us away. The owner and his beautiful family have created such an authentic experience and it’s so evident that they take pride in what they serve. The owner made recommendations and even was generous enough to make extra dishes for us to try. I can’t say enough good things about this place except GO EAT HERE!!

This was my first experience with Thai and Burmese food and it was so amazing. The restaurant was clean, beautiful and cozy. The food was absolutely delicious. We got the Thai ice tea which is a must try. Pad kee mow was so good haven’t had noodles like that in forever . Then we got yellow chicken curry, Burmese style beef curry and panang shrimp curry all of which were amazing!! Our server sanlin T was so incredibly hospitable and sweet. Will be definitely be back again !!

The Burmese curry was spicy and bursting with flavour. We were visiting Buffalo from Toronto and would cross the border again just to eat this dish again!! The service was also wonderful. Very hospitable!

The owners were so welcoming and genuine. The food was amazing. The owner recommended the Namprick Pao. I ordered it spicy with chicken and it is now one of my favorite dishes in WNY. We also ordered fried tofu with peanut sauce and the peanut sauce was the best I have ever had. You will not be dissapointed if you dine here. 5 stars!

We ordered takeout last night. Got the fish noodle soup, crab Rangoon and peanut king with chicken. Everything was packaged nicely, super fresh, not greasy and delicious. I will be ordering again or eating there soon!

Alright so I heard about this place from my friend while I was looking for a birthday dinner restaurant for my girlfriend. I checked out the review saw 4.9 stars and thought to myself theres no way😂. Overall excellent service seated immediately around 6:30pm cute small restaurant. Staff is super friendly. If I had to be super nitpicky the food took a while to get to the table but the wait was SOOOO worth it. Flavorful and I forgot to take pictures 😭. Had the boba was really good but could've used more ice and I only say that cause it felt more room temp than normal boba I've had. ❄️ Big portions of food. Also the owner is super cheery and gave us and a couple other customers ice cream ON THE HOUSE. Bro no restaurant does that anymore but it was definitely appreciated 😂😂😂. Anyways EXCELLENT little hole in the wall restaurant already saved to my favorites. Gotta check it out it you're looking for a really good Thai place. Oh I got the Pineapple thai rice and she got beef something I don't remember 😭😭😭

Great place for delicious Thai and Burmese food. We truly thought we were family. Our server brought over a delicious complimentary dessert and sent us home with a few appetizers to try. My only regret was going with the safe option and not asking what they recommended! Overall wonderful experience! 😊

I’m coming from NYC and the owner is amazing !! The food is amazing you can never get these prices and portions at NYC! The best part about it is halal! Great food, we had the Tea leaf Salad which was unique and very tasty. Samosas are must try. Hospitality was great, they provided us free drinks(Thai Ice tea) and Dessert (Banana roll) which were really really good. Glad we got a chance to taste them, we would definetly go back again to this place.

Delicious dish. So much food I got full fast, the waiter double checked with me that I liked the dish, I loved it, I reassured him I was full. He asked me if I wanted a box, I said yes and he offered me fresh rice at no charge to take home with me. At the end, he placed a complimentary dessert on our table which was delicious. Went with my family and girlfriend because they were in town. It was absolutely AMAZING. The food was stellar. If you like spicy you will definitely like the Burmese Curry. Amazing food, Lovely people and superb Ambience. The tea leaf salad was out of the world and their portions are very generous compared to price. And the Thai ice tea, oh my god, it tasted so good nothing like New York City’s ones. 11/10 and already craving again.

If I could give more than 5 stars for service I would! My family came here on New Year’s Eve and had an amazing experience. The food was fantastic, the service wonderful, and every suggestion spot on! Even though they don’t have pho anymore, don’t let that stop you from coming here and having a wonderful and unforgettable meal!

Good Thai food so I can only imagine their other options. The Pad See Ew was especially amazing. Definitely plan on coming back. Not to mention the wonderful service from the owner! The banana fried icecream and ice tea are highly recommended!

Authentic Rakhai Mont Ti and Burmese curry… we tried beef and mutton curry. Highly recommendz Rakhai Mont Ti is a must try. One of my favorite winter food.
