This restaurant is small but the menu has lot of vegetarian options. The taste of the main course dishes that we ordered was more than we expected. And food is not expensive. The service was fast and the portion size is also good. We will definitely will coming again very soon. We enjoyed the Red Curry that we ordered.

Cute cozy Thai restaurant offering a variety of unique Thai dishes. We ordered the pork dumplings, pad Thai, special param tofu, and Thai iced tea. The dumplings were well plated but packed much flavor. The param special tofu was lovely and a generous portion. The special param come with three crispy slices of fried eggplant that were just heaven. The Thai iced tea was authentic and you could tell didn't come from a mix.

I don’t know Thai food very well, so I always order pad Thai. Tonight I decided to be adventurous and ordered Param. It was unbelievable! I thought that somebody started a party in my mouth. It was so good! Can’t recommend it enough! Peanut sauce was amazing.

Every time I try to go to the restaurant it's closed. I went in today and they said they were getting ready to close again. Terrible attitude. Terrible times that they are available for food service. I will never go there

Second attempt to give GoldenThai a chance as it’s the closest Thai to our house. Sorely disappointed. First visit the Curry was watery, chicken tasted ragged/ dry. Today, the noodles in both the pad Thai and pad se uw were strangely wet, not much flavor to them and the beef literally tasted like old shoe leather. Had to spit it out, haven’t never thrown meat away before. Left with noodles that aren’t good, and wishing I’d driven a bit further for our favorite Siam O Cha Thai food around the corner which is far superior in every aspect.

Will not return to Golden Thai.

Best place, and Best taste for Thai food in Longwood.

Golden Thai has been here for as long as I can remember, but strangely I’ve never been. Its an cozy location and seems to do mostly take-out. Their prices are slightly lower than other Thai restaurants in the area — about $2 less for lunch than most places I have visited. As usual, for my first try, I had the lunch Panang Chicken and Thai Tea. The tea was very good. The veggies in the curry were very fresh, as you would expect of any Thai restaurant. The Panang itself was watery, lacking body and flavor. Some tastes were very salty and others not so much. The rice was a clump. It even had harder clumps inside the main clump. It was also almost flavorless.
Just a quick aside here — a year ago I would have said that rice was just rice, some smoother than others. But after having the rice at Dee Thai in Lake Mary I find that I am SOOO wrong. I can’t put my finger on it, but it is so much better than any rice I’ve ever had anywhere else.
Back to Golden Thai — at the end of lunch I would have to say that this seems to be “The McDonald's” of Thai restaurants. The price is slightly lower, the quality is mediocre, and some people would say, “You get what you pay for”. But for me, just a few miles up Rangeline Rd and then up Lake Emma Rd and you would be at Dee Thai. For $2 more its like going from McDonald’s burgers to Ruths Chris’ burgers (in flavor).

Found a roach in a take out order of vegetable massaman curry. Quite unfortunate as I've been here twice before to good experiences at a good price, but my most recent experience this week involved a whole roach in the take out curry that was almost half eaten. Wretching and heaves followed, after which I returned to the restaurant and showed them the photo of the bug. I was refunded and they said they will notify the kitchen. Quite awful as I can't remember finding such a thing before, in a vegetable dish too. Won't be coming back, a shame for sure.

Adorable little restaurant, such a cute aesthetic, the employees are extremely homely and wonderful, the complimentary water bottles were wonderful too. The food was just stellar, and the crab rangoons were fried so perfectly. The thai tea was also just amazing, love went into this experience, definitely will become a regular.

Hard to get good Thai food in some places - one would think Longwood would be one of those but even our foodie -riend enjoyed eating with us here. The place is not much to look at but the service was pleasant and the food was good. The soup was very good so don't skip it even though its hot outside. Looking forward to trying more dishes!

Me and my Wife have eaten here for over 10 years. Excellent, tasty and fresh authentic Thai food! Crazy Meat (red curry), Garlic Shrimp (spicy) and Pad Pik Basil are my go to dishes. Great prices, large portions and excellent service as well. Don't forget to try the Tom Yum Gai soup with your meal. Lemony, spicy and tasty!

The food was amazing hot fast delicious. Love to the entrees at first I was started ordering and was told that's no longer on the menu so I pick something else and was told that's no longer the menu and then was told that I have a menu from 10 years ago and he brought me the new menu and the prices went up we both laughed but not by much and then I went to order something else and was told they were out of it but what I did order was delicious Tom ka gai spring rolls Thai salad and definitely recommend the red curry Thai hot. The prices were on point the staff was super friendly would definitely recommend going back.

Overall, good experience and food. Not my favorite location but the service definitely overshadows any concerns. Large portions are served for most meals on the menu. Lots of menu variety to choose from. If you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine you should definitely consider Golden Thai.

The food is great. My brother took me here for the first time awhile ago and couldn't wait to go back. Seems like a family business and owners needed time for their health and were very missed overhearing other customers ask about them. Hope they take care and well soon. Forgot to take pictures, but looks just as tasty as it is. Love the choice of vegetables that set the dishes apart from other Thai restaurants.

Always great food but the hours are awful. Also, last time we were there I ordered a glass of wine and the lady serving us brought me the entire bottle (unopened) and a wine opener and left it with us so I could pour my own glass. She later returned to get the remainder of the bottle and the opener. Not super safe.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while I’m glad we did. The seating is self serve but that’s okay the server was very welcoming and took our order quickly. the stir fry basil is as expected very good kris had the stir fry broccoli with beef thai hot and it was hot. the place was full by 1200 that says alot

This is a great place to go for lunch or dinner. The food is very good and the value for what you get is also good. Top 3 dishes I have enjoyed are Garlic Meat, Panang, and Pad Thai. I recommend adding the lunch combo, which adds 2 spring rolls and a cup of soup.

Awesome food! We ordered chicken egg rolls, Masaman curry, and pad thai. Great egg rolls, fabulous curry- thick enough, with plenty of curry paste, meat, and vegetables. Pad thai was really great too.

The food is good with generous portions and fair prices too. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated with Thai decor. The only thing is that the service is slow but that's because it's popular and for good reason. Overall a good experience and worth the wait.

While the food at this restaurant is still very good, I have been disappointed recently with the service. More than a few times, the young kid, I think he's a college student, has messed up my order, but today was a straw that broke the camel's back. I called and placed an order, He tells me 15 to 20 minutes, I give them 30 but when I get there he tells me that they have no more rice. Yes it is true I called the order in at 7:45 p.m., but a Thai restaurant running out of rice is like KFC running out of chicken. At that point, I'm a annoyed because how do you have curry without rice, but I'm already there, right?! So I reluctantly agree to some noodles. So I'm sitting there waiting for an order that was literally supposed to be grab and go, and 15 minutes go by and I ask him what the status was because I placed the order 45 minutes prior and he tells me he didn't put it in when I called it in because he didn't know what I wanted with my curry So instead they didn't put any food order in for me. No attempts to call me back and ask me if I would like a substitute. The restaurant was not busy, there was literally one couple sitting down eating, one other to go order that arrived while I was sitting there waiting for my food so I cannot even make an excuses for him. So I get home, I'm already annoyed but I'm even more annoyed when I go to try to eat the noodles. They were bland and rubbery and completely stuck together in a big mush. I literally had to throw them right in the garbage and make myself some rice so that I can have some with my dinner. Tonight was a flop, there have been other times where he's messed up minor things, like the protein that I wanted my soup or the type of soup and one time he forgot my spring rolls, but today, today was not good. I've decided I'm not going to stop supporting this business because I have met the cooks and owner and they're really sweet. I also know it's really tough during the pandemic, but I've decided that if I ever hear the kids voice on the other side of the phone, I'm hanging up, calling the next local spot. I really miss when the girls that used to work the front! I took the liberty of photographing the unappetizing noodles.

Golden Thai restaurant is the best kept secret in Longwood, You can be assured when you sit down to order your favorite dish, you can be certain it is going to be made 100% prepared from scratch and made to order. There's no dish too hot as it can be prepared to your liking from mild to traditional Thai hot upon request. The atmosphere warm and inviting and the staff are helpful and efficient.

Food was great, not the best Thai I've had in Orlando, but very good. And while we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, it was not their fault. It was the fault of two very rude and selfish men, that just sat there talking after paying their check for a long time. The staff was simply never trained on how to get guests like these to move on.

I have come here several times now and have yet to have a bad experience. The lunch special is amazing, you can get a meal, spring rolls and soup for under 10 dollars! Every dish I’ve had so far has been great. I love the pad Thai, yellow curry fried rice and garlic meat. Every dish can be personalized by which meat you’d like, as well as how spicy you want it. My favorite part is hands down the soup. The staff is also very friendly.

My family and I have been going here for years and unfortunately as of December 26th 2019 the food is absolutely terrible from the appetizers to the main course the food was terrible we all talked about it in the car worst Thai food I've had and I have visit Thailand on many occasion unfortunately I don't know what's going on over there but that will be the last visit I have at this place sad to see an icon lose its reputation.

Just finished lunch there. The food tasted delicious, however halfway through my meal a small brown roach crawled out of the plate of sauces they brought to go with my pad Thai. It then proceeded to crawl to my soup bowl and hang out. Being that the restaurant was packed I didn't want to induce panic by screaming and making a scene so I quietly showed the waiter who was horrified and he quickly took the plates and critter to the back. The management quickly came to assure me that it happened because they came and sprayed yesterday which caused it to come out and that the place is indeed clean.

They then proceeded to only remove the soup from my bill and I had to pay full price for my pad Thai because it didn't actively crawl on my pad Thai plate. I'm sorry but when a live roach comes out of a plate and runs around the table I would expect to be comped fully. I just wish I would've taken a picture of it instead of trying to shoo it away from me while hurriedly trying to wave over the waiter to get it. Or that I had made a scene and maybe saved the other patrons from potential disaster.

Again the food tasted great but I wont be back as I cannot trust the cleanliness of the kitchen. And I was less than satisfied with how it was handled.
