Great Thai food! My boyfriend and I found this spot a couple a months ago and we are addicted. If we’re not dinning in we are ordering carry out. The flavoring is amazing and the staff are all super friendly and the place is very cute inside. Definitely the best Thai food spot in largo for sure!!
Pinellas has no shortage of great thai food, and this place is near the top of my list in town. Great noodle and curry dishes.
Ke mao: 9/10
Pad thai: 8/10
Pad see ew: 8/10
Massaman curry: 9/10
Egg roll: 8/10
Rangoon: 8/10
I always try to add avocado to my massaman, and this place will do it for you if you ask. Highly recommend.
Restaurant located in a large older shopping mall, with a lot of parking space. Although the restaurant was empty during my visit, the noise level was really low, making for a peaceful and enjoyable dining experience.
The menu has an extensive selection of Thai dishes and sushi rolls to choose from, and the food was fresh and tasty. While some dishes could use a bit more flavor, the portion sizes were big and well worth the price of $15-20 on average.
The green curry could have used a bit more sauce, but overall, the presentation was average and the service was fast. The restaurant also boasts a lot of imported and domestic beer selections for those who are interested.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Thai Bay and Sushi Restaurant. While there are some areas for improvement, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. If you're in the area and looking for a great Thai and sushi spot, Thai Bay and Sushi Restaurant is definitely worth checking out!
I decided to eat here after looking at the reviews from other local Thai restaurants including the public inspection reports. Placing my order over the phone was simple and convenient. I was able to make some small adaptations to my order which was wonderful. I was informed that my food would be ready in 15 minutes. This timing was perfect since that's exactly how long my drive would be. When I arrived, there was a large parking lot with other establishments in it. I entered into the restaurant and noticed an older dusty fish tank to my right. The atmosphere was dimly lit and matched the ambiance. There were plenty of guests dining in that seemed to be enjoying their meal. It smelled like the staff had been cleaning with Fabuloso or something very similar in scent. Point is, I could smell their cleaning supplies and that makes me believe that they are maintaining a cleaning regimen at their location. I did not see it right away but while waiting for my food I saw multiple big bottles of it on the floor in what looked like their open storage area. I ordered Thai Fried Rice with Chicken. Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to eat my food on my lunch break because it was over by the time I returned to work. In addition to the 15 minute quoted wait prior to my arrival I had to wait an additional 15 plus minutes after I arrived as my food was not ready. Soy sauce was not automatically provided so do ask for some if you want to make sure that you receive it.
Food is very good. Got egg roll and cup of soup with lunch entree with a great sauce. One of my favorite places here The fish tank doesn't give a good impression but the restaurant is clean
Little restaurant with a cute vibe. Fish tank in the front has some funky looking big goldfish that weird me out a little, speedy service and good food! Ordering on the phone results in same sized portions as dine-in. Only issue I've ever had is sometimes I ask for really spicy and they give me milder than I'm hoping for, some kick but I like to sweat.
Moldy ceiling, everything is outdated, average food, nothing special or even really tasty.
Delicious, fresh Thai food with fast and friendly service. I liked the ambience of the restaurant.
It was a nice hole in the wall restaurant. Nothing too fancy. Enjoyable to eat at. Although my food smelled like shrimp and I ordered chicken. Anyone with allergies beware.

This place is the real deal, 100% authentic Thai meals are prepared here, even super healthy choices are served, come and try, you won't be disappointed.
Food was ok… pad Thai was too sweet and curry also too sweet, fried rice and duck were ok nothing amazing. But the servers were rude and acted like we were and inconvenience being there. Not the greatest experience.
Thai Bay used to be our "go-to" for Thai food, but no more. We ordered the Three Friends, which consisted of fried duck, which didn't taste fresh, was overcooked and a very small portion. Very disappointing for $30 dollars. We come here at least 2 times a month but no more. Update: The last few times we went, it was pretty good, so I'm very surprised at the lack of quality and quantity.
Service was mediocre to poor. Food was good but over priced. Tables and booths small and dated.
Thai Bay has been a mainstay for many years. Well made entrees, friendly service, piping hot food, authentic recipes and nice portion size.
im 40 and we have have been coming here since 1996. we wont go anywhere else for thai. the beef satay and spring rolls are to die for!!
Wide-ranging authentic dishes were served at the Thai restaurant. The green curry was spicy and flavorful, while the Pad Thai was spot-on. Service could be faster, but the food was worth it.
Great food !
Gave this place a try twice. Order the duck soup. I love duck- this was chicken… both times. Ordered my soup with EGG noodles- both times received ramen. My order was through Uber eats both times. Won’t be back.
Good tasting food fast service good price
Decent food and good portions.
I like everything here and take my family whenever they are in town. My dad is picky when it comes to Asian food and he has zero complaints. My wife doesn't eat spice (at all) but I do (love it!) and they accommodate well for both of us.
My personal favorite are the noodle bowls and sushi. Wife gets the Pad Thai and my dad usually orders a rice dish with dumplings or egg rolls. I've never had a bad meal and they have one waitress who is really funny. Was giving my a dad a hard time and he loved it. He loves that stuff.
This is easily the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Easily the best Thai restaurant in Florida.
This is what $16 looks like. Container with Green curry sauce filled only to the half... You can see after eating it with rice I have half of rice left, that I have to eat on it's own or throw it away. Huge disappointment. I will never order form them again. Greed and running a business never worked. Screwing people over.

35 years of eating sushi. First time it made me sick. Couldn't taste the fish, way too much sauce.
Not the best Thai food I had. The drunken noodles are kinda flavorless and fishy tasting
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in Pinellas

Ordered takeout today. Best part was the Jasmin Rice. Meat flattened and tasteless. Could not tell the difference between chicken and pork. Spring rolls are greasy and tasteless. So disappointing!
Quaint, cozy, clean little gem in an unassuming strip mall location off busy East Bay Dr in Largo.
Honestly... The food was not good. Flavor was not there, quality of ingredients was not there. Maybe it was just a bad day for them, but I will not be spending my money at this establishment again.
The food “hit the spot “. Fantastic.
The food was very good.
Went here for a special day with my daughter. They had some of the best sushi we've ever had and the wait staff was so friendly and kind and made the meal very special for my daughter and provided us with a beautiful sushi boat platter and checked in the back for Ice cream as a special request! We'll definitely be back!
My experience with this restaurant unfortunately wasn’t good . We found a rubber band in our pad Thai , ordered 2 rolls of sushi with white fish that was very firm and hard to chew (lots of tendons ) not sushi grade fish . Addressed our concerns to the waitress and they didn’t do anything about it .
Always fast seating, friendly staff, and amazing food!
Maybe next time you remember everything for take out order.
My first experience with Thai food. Will be returning soon. Huge selection, large portions and reasonably priced.
It's OK, but I probably won't go back.
I find the food here for the most part, delicious. A funky mix of lovely things, neighborhood familiarity and nice staff. Fresh flowers on the table always makes it better.
Vegans/vegetarians beware! Despite Google saying this place “serves vegan options,” this restaurant puts fish sauce in nearly every dish. The only truly vegetarian/vegan entree (at least on the lunch menu) is the “Amazing” dish, which is essentially just peanut sauce and broccoli. It’s a shame they aren’t accommodating to more diets, as the restaurant was very cute.
I wish I had taken pictures of my food, but it looked so fabulous, all I could do was dive right in! My meal began with a delicious Tom kai ga. The bowl was brimming with veggies and chicken in a wonderful coconut milk base (geez I am salivating just writing this, lol!) The soup that I normally get is weak and sparse, so imagine my delight to find a place that was so generous in their servings?!!! My entree was huge! I ordered the rice dish with chicken and asked them to add basil. PURE HEAVEN! In a time where business owners are cutting corners and raising prices to make a profit, I was very surprised at the portions we received! Normally what I would get would be adequate, but at Thai Bay our eyes were def. bigger than our bellies. We ate so much that it was difficult to sleep that night. Yeah, we overdid it. Also, something to consider...I was asked how spicy I wanted my food. Normally I get it spicy. She suggested medium but provided a condiment tray with different methods to add to my love of spice. Medium was it! I didn't need to add more. Everything was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to go back.
We enjoyed ourselves here. It has a cozy feel, perfect for a date. The food was delicious, and the service was prompt. We did not take advantage of the sushi bar, but I will be back for that, for sure.
Food is consistently great. I especially like their pad thai.
Wow, went there a lot, this evening, something we are, perhaps sushi was bad, both got sick. FYI, please make sure your food is fresh, take care
A nice local find! Loved it!
Great pad see ew noodles. Delicious.
Wonderful food in ample amount.
My kids and I wanted Thai food. We normally go to Thai Star Sushi on Madeira Beach but they were packed. We stood by the front door for quite some time the employees looked at us several times we wasn’t seated until another group walked in that was the first red flag. Once we were seated an employee walked up and gave us silverware. I thought he was gonna tell us about drink options but he didn’t. He didn’t introduce himself, greet us or nothing just set the silverware down and walked away. Second red flag. We set up there for 30mins nobody came back. We decided to leave as we was walking out we notice that same group that was behind us before we was seated was being served with cups of water and other drinks. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all and I hate to bring up the race card but what else could it be.
Yucky sushi
This place is a hidden gem and definitely recommend if you like curry or pad thai. Tons of veggie options, too! Both times I have gone has been a 5/5 experience from the quality of food, to service, to atmosphere! Can't wait to return soon
love this place!! been here many times and will continue to come in the future! has some of the best sushi around and for a good price
One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Clearwater Largo area. My partner and I go there constantly - at least once a month.
Their menu is differentiated from the competitors and they also list photos of the dishes - which helps to visualize what you're buying.
The staff is extremely kind, the food is great and the prices are AMAZING. I can go there with my partner, eat well, take a plate home and still spend less than $50 on a dinner.
Those guys work hard. Definitely recommend Thai Bay to anyone who loves thai food as much as me.
Classic Thai food at a decent price. The Curry tasted authentic. Ambience is like most Thai places. Service was good. People there like what they do.
My first ever Thai meal and it was GREAT, AWESOME!!!!!
We loved everything about our dining experience. The steamed dumpings were different and VERY amazing. The sushi was the freshest we have tasted, in the entire area, the bubble tea was another amazing experience (better than everyone else's) and the drunken noodles wear fantastic! 5 stars plus 5 more stars!!!!
The Chicken Pai Thai is delicious. The portions are generous. I've been ordering from Thai Bay for over 3 years. I'm never disappointed.
It was amazing to eat and watch the rain thru the window. The thunderstorms was a blessing with the wam weather.
Always Amazing food and service
While visiting Clearwater from Santa Monica we tried some local Thai food. The staff is friendly and place is clean. The dishes tasted good. My only complaint is the meats were all overcooked and tough to chew, especially the beef was like jerky. Rice was a bit dry too. I would recommend asking them to cook the meat a little more on the rare or medium side.
This place was absolutely amazing! I stumbled upon them while door dashing. I saw the quality of the sushi and HAD TO come back the next day to treat myself. They did not disappoint! Sushi (Clearwater roll) was delish!! Curry anyone?! So good! Thanks for a great experience Thai Bay & sushi!
Great ambience
Great food and good people
Thai spring rolls were greasy and soggy,
The Tom yum shrimp soup was sweet and no hot at All
The chicken fried rice was average at the best
#7 clear noodles with shrimp tastes like dish water
Everything was excellent. I loved the red chicken curry. My friend enjoyed the pad Thai.
Very good Thai food.
The owners have made some changes, and they are remarkably Pleasant, very kind and accommodating and the food is phenomenal Definitely my go to for Thai food
The best Nam sod in Pinellas county
Great selection in the Menu, Atmosphere end decorntypicalmof a Thai restaurant.
Prices are very good.
Food is delicious and service is great.
Food's great. Service is great. Chasing me down to give me my sunglasses? Awesome.
My go to place for Pad Thai.
Decent food
The food is delicious!
Good as always!
Authentic restaurant. I have to go to eat there every time I go to ClearWater. I think they should open until later at least in the weekend.
Excellent dining experience!
Great Thai food and atmosphere.
The sushi is overpriced and uninspiring.
Food and atmosphere are both excellent. Our server was kind, helpful and patient with us having small kids. The only reason for the lower mark was the hostess seemed very unhappy that we walked in. She gave angry looks throughout our stay in general and maybe it was because we had a couple young, noisy kiddos. The food and service made it well worth the visit.
Lots to choose from and very delicious
I had chicken fried rice...It was of "okay" taste for me...
Amazing Thai! Amazing service and Amazing Chicken!!
I have driven past this place a hundred times and have always meant to tey it. Today I placed an order for delivery. I have been missing out!! I had the pad Thai chicken (lunch version) very very good....generous portion and an extremely reasonable price
Kicking myself for not trying this place sooner
My new favorite place
Food was delicious! Didn't wait long for order either.
Very very good food. We had sushi and pad-thai. Food did take a really long time but well worth the wait.
I usually get take out but have dined in a few times here. The atmosphere is always relaxing, receive service with a smile and the food is always fantastic. I’m reluctant to try other Thai / Sushi places because I’m sure they won’t hit the high standards this place has set.
Very good food and great service.
pretty atmosphere, my cup never pass halfway empty !!!!! 😅🥹🥰
Allergy friendly! Kind staff & amazing food!! We will return. Thank you
Delicious lunchtime sushi menu. Nicely decorated and very considerate staff...I will go again!
Fresh amazing good food. Staff was very friendly and inviting.
This was some of the worst quality food ive ever seen served to people. The noodles were past over cooked they were disintegrated mush. The meat quality is poor and meat is dry. Over all i was absolutely disgusted and threw the food out.
I always get nervous with new sushi spots, but im so happy I ordered. 😊 The front is well maintained. Very pleasing to see pulling up. The inside is comfy, clean and date night cute decor. Sushi bar is high tops for a great view. Super friendly. They even had suggestions for me when I called for something they didn't have. The sushi is top notch/fresh and a huge selection for every kind of craving. Can't wait for date night to go back and sit down!
Surprisingly, good food
Great food
Stopped at this restaurant while looking for a local place for Thai food while visiting St. Pete's. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice the environment was, the service, and the attention. We're vegan, so one of our servers (who I believe is also a cook) took the time to explain which options from the menu we could choose. The food was simply delicious, the best Thai food we've had in a long while.
We will definitely go back when we visit again. Highly recommended.
This used to be one of my favorite places. I used to go there all the time. I have not been there in almost 2 years. I went yesterday for dinner was super hot in there. And the food came after 45 minutes, very slow service.
Food was good service so so
Not much to look at when you pull up but I promise it's worth the visit. Food and service were excellent.
Absolutely wonderful staff. Few first timers to Thai food and our server took great care in helping us get it figured out. Sushi was amazing as well. Will return next time I'm in town !
Very friendly and great food. The portion size could be bigger for the price, but I still enjoyed it.
Quality food, friendly staff, and the best miso soup I’ve ever had. I repeatedly come back to this restaurant.
Food is great, service is friendly and fast.
Came here a few times, everytime service is rude, food is great. After this last time 6/9 Friday we will not be back. Hot like the air conditioning was out had a fan, waitress was completely rude, a guy brought our food, I am not going to give business and our money to a business that is not nice and doesn't appreciate our business. There are alot of thai places around so we will not miss this location.
Customer service is terrible!!! Ordered $150 in to go and they only gave us 3 soy sauce packets! And when I asked for more they gave me an attitude!!!! I paid $150 for $3 worth of rice and $15 worth of shrimp and they acted like a few packs of soy sauce was going to put them out of business!! So rude I recommending going somewhere else!
Delicious Thai cuisine served by cordial staff. Excellent selection.
Best Thai and sushi restaurant! Prices are great for such amazing quality food. Have never tasted sushi so fresh. When we come back to the area we will definitely be visiting this restaurant !
Wonderful Mother's day ❤️. Great 👍 food and service. It's always a pleasure.
Good Thai food for Americans with very good service.
Love this place for Thai food
Just very good food every time we eat there.
Excelente
Good food and service. Nice people. Fox News playing on the television made it most unpleasant! I won't be going back ever again!
Reasonable prices and excellent food.
We have eaten here many times. We always try new dishes. This place has fantastic dishes. Absolutely the very best Thai restaurant in Largo Clearwater and Tampa.
I never have stomach or intestinal problems and didn't prior to eating at this restaurant. I was perfectly well prior to entering this restaurant. While eating my dinner on 3/1/23 my stomach immediately bloated to where my pants were digging into my abdomen and had to be unbuttoned and unzipped. Abdomen was extremely distended. By morning 3/2/23 my lower guts were very upset and I was having loose yellowish stools, that continued throughout that day and into the next day 3/3/23 Still feeling unwell 3/4/23 by 3/5/23 I am nauseous and still having lower abdominal issues.
Wow
Excellent food! Drunken noodles were excellent 👍 great staff and atmosphere.
