I had a really nice dinner here last night. The owner is very actively engaged preparing sushi and operating the restaurant first hand. It makes a world of difference! The sushi was good. Presentation was good. Atmosphere was good. I would definitely go back anytime I was given a chance. Business really picked up as the night went on so it’s probably advisable to get there on the early end of dinner time unless you have a reservation or are willing to wait.

Had carry-out at Koon Manee and also sit-down dinners. This place is amazing! The staff is so kind, efficient and they work well together. The sushi is fresh and delicious! We have had lots of main dishes, including the garlic pepper sauce with veggies, Pad Thai and Pad Woonsen. All excellent. Picture is of a delicious tempura fried cheesecake - It was so good!

This place is excellent. My husband and I came to join name for lunch and everyone there was very attentive, communicative and friendly.

I came to Koon Manee for lunch on a Friday afternoon around 1. Their lunch special comes with a side salad and spring roll. The ginger dressing tastes so fresh and light, the spring roll is perfectly crispy and the plum sauce is unlike any other I’ve tasted at a Thai restaurant; the sauce tastes completely home made. I also ordered their Thai basil with fried tofu and extra veggies, medium spice, and it was delicious. The spice level was perfect and they offer both white or brown rice as an option. The ambiance was calm, the service was quick and I had a lovely lunch experience. Highly recommend.

One of my "go to" places for lunch. Food & service, always outstanding.

My fiance and two others went here for dinner. We ordered a variety of sushi and appetizers. I had shrimp pad thai as my entree. Everything was great until about 3-4 hours after the meal I was hit with what appeared to be food poisoning. It was a miserable experience that put me out for the entire next day and ultimately my fiance ended up getting the bug that I had because she became ill shortly after with the same symptoms associated with contaminated food or food poisoning. We effectively lost multiple days from our vacation due to this unfortunate event. I reached out to the restaurant and they assured me that all of the sushi from that night was gone as of me notifying them of my experience and they offered me a gift card. In that situation, offer a refund, not a gift card. Anyone who has had food poisoning knows the lingering effects it has on you in regards to the place / food you got it from.

Ordered in, so can’t comment on the service or atmosphere, but tried it twice and had terrible food both times. Texture of fish was off, tempura batter was thick and gloopy, and Thai food had no flavor and overcooked noodles.

This is our Favorite Thai restaurant and visit there frequently...

I stumbled upon this restaurant. I sat at the sushi bar. I ordered Bangkok duck with vegetables in a curry sauce. It was very good and reasonably priced. Most of the people around me had sushi which looked good. I was there early but when I left the restaurant was full. They apparently have a loyal customer base.

I stumbled upon this, busy Thai/Sushi restaurant in the Jonathans Landing mall. I sat at the sushi bar and watched the chefs turn out roll after roll of tasty looking sushi. I opted for the Bangkok Duck in a curry sauce that was very good and reasonably priced. This restaurant has developed a loyal customer base.

Excellent, delicious Thai cuisine. (Japanese available as well as sushi.) Quick service even when crowded (as it usually is.) Friendly efficient staff. Take out available and a good option. (We do takeout often.) Our favorite local place for Thai food.

Enjoyed spring roll and vegetable panang curry.

A later lunch (note that they close at 2:30 for a couple hours until dinner service). Sorry, I ate too quickly and forgot to take photos! Lunch is served with a small, tasty & refreshing salad, and an egg roll that was good but could have been served hotter. Following, we had the Pad Se-Ew with pork, and Pad Kee Mao with chicken. Both were excellent, maybe a preference for the latter. Attentive service and very pleasant interior... worth a visit!

Good place for sushi and soups. Wonton soup is outstanding - flavorful and healthy- and Thai soups good too. Sushi always fresh and get a B+ grade . If you want better sushi 2Vinez is across indiantown road but be prepared for a much higher bill and slower service. We tried Koon Manee Thai offerings on several occasions but were less impressed. Very quick, efficient friendly service. Extremely packed on weekends as most folks I’m sure share our opinion that it’s a casual friendly eatery and priced within reason for the quality of food offered.

Best lunch in town.

This was our first time to Koon Manee and I must say it was delicious. We went during lunch and they have nice Lunch specials from bento boxes and more with salad or soup and a spring roll. The portions are generous and reasonable. I had the California Roll, with Thai Chicken Noodles and 2 gyoza dumplings. It is located in the Publix Shopping Center Johnathan Landings. The place is nice and very clean.

A taste of Thailand! Koon Manee serves delicious Thai cuisine with authentic flavors. The dishes are flavorful, and the service is friendly. However, it can get crowded during peak times, affecting the dining experience slightly. Overall, a great spot for Thai food enthusiasts.

I have to say that this restaurant is undoubtedly the best sushi restaurant in the area. The sushi is always fresh and at a reasonable price. My husband and I are huge sushi lovers. I am expecting so I’m avoiding sushi for 9 months and have plans to make a big order on delivery day haha! I anticipate it all the time! The staff are also wonderful and kind. They have never disappointed me in the three years I have been coming here. Cheers to the owner and everyone at Koon Manee!

Sushi is very good. I wish there were more single fish rolls. Service is great. The gentleman who took our drink order and bussed our table on Monday is always very attentive. Our servers are friendly, funny and also very attentive.

The curry is really good. Service is quick and staff is friendly. Would recommend and will be back.

I have been a long-time customer to Koon Manee and come in multiple times a week to enjoy outstanding food and service. I have never had a problem with gluten free accommodations or removing any vegetables from a menu item. "Chris Joe" has an odd review. I was having lunch there today and after "Chris Joe" was loud and rude to other employees, especially the "little guy server" that was just trying to help. She was the first one in the restaurant because she came in before they opened and they were nice enough to let her in! Next time, Karen aka "Chris Joe," should go to her own kitchen to make what SHE wants rather than throw a temper tantrum when she cannot bully Koon Manee employees to be her personal chefs.

Horrible customer service. Not accommodating to anything. First one in the building, and five other tables after me got water before me. Little guy server had an attitude from the beginning. Asked him for a sushi recommendation, and he said to read the menu first. As a server, his responsibility is to in fact make recommendations and explain a dish with out him being rude. So many good thai places out there, gladly will take my business elsewhere. Especially, when other places do not mind any changes to a dish, much more friendler, and attentive to all clients.

Food was okay but a rip off for the amount of food you get. Did the lunch special for a noodle dish, and it was less than half the portion of a normal dish and still $10. At least make it clear that it’s much less food…

My favorite lunch spot for sushi! The lunch sushi boat is reasonably priced and perfectly prepared. Quick service, clean, and great quality food/fish. Always seated right away. A+

Delicious! I have tried other Thai restaurants in the area where the food tasted like it was cooked in ketchup, but not at Koon Manee. This is delicious and bursting with flavor. The lunch portions are generous and reasonably priced. One of my favorite things to get is the Tom Kha soup. Where they do not skimp on the meat or veggies.

We do take out weekly. The food is very good, order is on time for pickup. Portions are enough for 2 people or next day lunch.

A favorite when it comes to sushi. We had the Vegetable tempura.It's about $10 and you get 10 pieces with a variety of brocolli, carrot, zucchini and onion. A little sake to start off. Then we tried 3 rolls: spicy yellowtail, the emma and the sumo. We finished off with the Thai donut and a green tea ice cream. Bill was around $100. I have been coming here since they originally opened and always have a great experience. The staff has mostly stayed the same and treat each guest like family. Highly recommend.

By far my absolute favorite place to eat. I recommend it to everyone I know! Best pad thai I've ever tasted. The waitresses are very sweet. :)

this place is amazing!! i’ve been going here for years and recently moved closer and now come here very often. the service is always amazing, the staff now knows me and knows what i don’t like and always substitute my favorites in. we’re always in and out in less than an hour and i’ve never had anything bad from here!! everyone there is so friendly and it’s just an amazing experience every time.

We’ve eaten at Koone Manee many times and always enjoyed their rolls. That’s why, tonight, I’m disappointed to say that I’ve lost interest in eating there again. My husband and I ordered 3 rolls and we expected 3 full rolls. What was brought to us was a platter with a full roll in the center and what looked like 2 half rolls on either side. They were cut so thin that it looked as if they had cut a full roll in half and split it but charged us for 3. When we questioned our waitress, she checked with the kitchen and reported back to us that they were “rationing” the rolls. In effect, they were cheating us out of a full roll. Their answer to us was to send over 6 pieces of spicy tuna roll. Something we would never order. Needless to say, we were charged full price for everything. Never again will I order anything but separate rolls on individual plates.

Koon Manee should be everyone’s go to for delicious food, friendly atmosphere and amazing staff. The sushi is the freshest, most delicious in South Florida and their hot dishes are delightful! And, if you have a party, they cater and it is absolutely gorgeous. Blew my guests away! Will continue coming back time and time again!

My late wife and I have been Koone Manee regulars for nearly a decade. The sushi is my favorite thing to order. It's excellent, especially the Manee roll, my favorite. Family operated, quaint, and consistently good. Excellent choice for Thai food!

Good food and service, was planning to come back until I saw the charge on my card. Tip was modified to nearly 50% of my bill. Not even going to bother calling the bank or restaurant because I didn't keep my receipt. Stay classy Koon Manee.

Try the hot basil! We started with chefs choice sushi for appetizers and had a fresh mix of tuna, salmon, and various other fish. Our server recommended the hot basil and it did not disappoint. I got the hot basil with beef and it was amazing. Perfect portion for a meal although I did ask for extra rice. Wife got panang curry and it was good. Hours are a little different so make sure it is open when you go.

Food was bland. No flavor, no spice, only a sliver of an aftertaste of soy sauce. The pad see ew was terrible. No flavor. I would go to the other Thai place a couple blocks away because the food belonged in the dumpster.

Go there once a week. Hard to beat both price and quality.

I have never had a more delicious, balanced, and richly spiced noodle dish as I did here. I'm truly blown away that a little strip mall restaurant could boast such quality. Please do yourself a favor and order the pad Kee mow with at least a 1-2 spicy level. Truly a treat.

Subpar quality. I went there for my birthday, very disappointing. The ambience wasnt really anything, it was just quiet and a short bustle of a server or 2 coming out of the kitchen every once in a while. Our server was very nice, however, good service. The pictures of the food looked great, but when the food arrived, it was everything but. The sushi was made sloppy and I know the fish wasn't fresh because I saw a sushi boat for a different customerfor being prepared in advance, definitely not indicative of freshness. In all, i was disappointed. Food was sloppy, not too flavorful, and not fresh. The only thing I could say that was really good were the gyoza, those were great. Wouldn't go there again, not impressed.

The last time I went the food wasn’t as good as it used to be. They have also been closing earlier than their listed times (or at least employees say they are closed)

I saw this restaurant pop up on delivery dudes and figured it was new since I’ve never heard of it, the food was absolutely fantastic.
