“Just like in Thailand”
We serve Traditional Thai food that truly makes you think of Thailand along with some other chef specials or Non-Thai dishes like Avocado Spring Rolls or Crab Rangoons, plus we will offer different Thai specials!
We would like to present you the way how Thai food should be made and tasted. That’s why our food is different from others! We're TRADIOTIONAL Thai food (Home Cooking Style). Not Jacksonville "Authentic" Thai. We cook/prepare everything in house and not using MSG in our food.
Our Pad Thai is DRY not saucy or red or super sweet like others!! It’s old fashioned/traditional way like in Thailand!!!
We made fresh herb curry paste to add in all of Curries. We use only Coconut Milk, NOT HEAVEY CREAM!
If you're looking for authentic Thai food that's also healthy, this place is a must-visit. We ordered the crispy pork belly Pad Thai and the flavor was fantastic. Unlike other Thai restaurants, it wasn’t colored. We also tried the chicken red curry which wasn’t thickened with flour or starch, yet still packed all the delicious flavor. To top off the meal, we had the pandan bread pudding which was the perfect ending to a satisfying lunch. The service was excellent and the owner was both friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!
The owner is a great cook and a great person….I have known her for a long time. Now, the rest of you get to find that out through her delicious menu of authentic Thai dishes. Come hungry and prepare yourself for great flavors, fresh ingredients and a take away menu so you can order food for pick up!!!
Absolutely great. I loved that my server volunteered to suggest a vegan sauce for my tofu stir fry, first time ever in any Thai restaurant, and that sauce was amazing.
The veggies in my stir were all great, not overcooked but cooked enough with just the right crisp. The soft drinks are cans, not fountain. They close rather early at 8h30pm, but they were nice enough to let me eat in even past that time and didn't pressure me as they were preparing to close.
Absolutely great "lil" place.
I am not typically someone whose first choice is Thai food. I’ve only had it one other time. I decided to outside my comfort zone and try Lil Thai for lunch. I had a great experience not only from the tasty meal but the owner. Berdi is super kind and you can tell she really has a passion for her restaurant. She was very informative on the menu and the ingredients when helping me make a decision on what to try. She recommended I try the drunken noodles and I got that with beef. I also got the crab Rangoon's as well. Very tasty! I will definitely be back.
Really great cooking - some of the best Thai food we've ever had. As the chef explains, this is the real deal - no MSG, no frozen broccoli, no artificial junk. Soups, dumplings and entree were all rich, savory and full of amazing flavors.
We were there on a night when the owner/chef was flying solo - cooking, waiting tables, clearing dishes - and everything was just perfect. This little place is a real gem, and an incredible value.

Very delicious. Our food was made to order, so it’s fresh. Reasonable price for the quality and amount of food.
Delicious food and fast service!! I loved the Tom Kha. Best Thai food I’ve ever had, and the owner is wonderful.
Amazing and nuanced flavors, will definitely come again the next time we’re in Jacksonville!

Stopped in for some takeout after hearing good things. Food was amazing, we had the Crab Rangoons, Chicken green curry and shrimp pad Thai, all were fantastic. My wife said the Crab Rangoons were some of the most flavorful that she has ever had. Hope to stop by to dine-in next time, I’m sure it will be even better!
Quaint environment. Wonderful food, great service. You have to try it for yourself.
Awesome!!! Authentic, healthy, delicious! After eating here I realize I’ve NEVER actually had good Thai food… until now! Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Tom Ka… all yum!!!!

Absolutely great "lil" place.
This place is the shiznits. Food is terrific and the owner is great. The only two sub par reviews are in reference to pad Thai, which is made the traditional aka the right way. They are just unfamiliar with the real preparation. Additionally, you want Americanized they will do it… you shouldn’t but they will. 10/10 would recommend
This was our first, but not our last trip for Thai takeout. The panag curry, was perfect! He loved his beef & shrimp drunken bloodless & pork dumpling peanut sauce skewers seasoned to perfection! This was so amazing! Thank you for cooking it real!

This might be our new fav spot in Jax. Authentic food cooked by an amazingly authentic person
Amazing flavor in the food, like oh my gosh, this place is so wonderful! Owner is super sweet and it is a lovely, calm spot. By far one of my favorite restaurants ❤️
We had a wonderful lunch here, the food was fresh and incredibly delicious! Try the Pad Prik Pao, you won’t regret it and the bread pudding was so good. We will definitely be back next time we’re in that area!
This is a charming and authentic Thai restaurant! Everything is fresh and prepared by the owner/ chef. If you appreciate good quality no frills food, this is the place for you!
Authentic Thai food made from scratch.
Delicious Tom Kha soup. Fresh ingredients, great flavor. The pork dumplings are so good too.
This place rocks. Love the green curry and dumplings.. solid nice owner and great front of house help. This place is a true hole in the wall that needs more attention.
Blown away by the incredible flavors and quality of the food. This restaurant serves the best traditional Thai cuisine I have ever had. The menu is filled with a variety of authentic Thai dishes made with fresh, healthy ingredients. Each dish was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced and the curry dishes were rich and aromatic. I could taste the care and attention to detail that went into each dish.
The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and they were happy to provide recommendations and answer any questions we had.
Overall, I highly recommend Lil Thai to anyone looking for a truly authentic Thai dining experience. If you appreciate delicious food made with fresh, healthy ingredients, this is the place for you. I will definitely be returning to Lil Thai in the future.
One of the highlights of my dining experience at Lil Thai was when the Chef came out to speak with us personally. It was a special touch that made us feel welcomed and appreciated as first-time visitors. The Chef was friendly and passionate about her food, and she generously offered us samples of Sake to complement our meal.
It was a delightful surprise and added to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience. It was evident that the Chef takes pride in her craft and is dedicated to providing a memorable dining experience for her guests.
This personalized touch, along with the amazing food and warm ambiance, truly sets Lil Thai apart from other restaurants. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return for another delicious meal. Thank you, Lil Thai, for a wonderful dining experience.
Just spent $46 on the worst Thai food that I have ever had. Pad Thai noodles are trimmed at 2 inch strands. Aren't even stir fried or flavored. The Red Cury Beef I bought tastes like cardboard and the red curry sauce has the viscosity of colored water. I could have gone to a Longhorn and bought a Ribeye with freshi buttered broccoli and 2 premium draft beers for less. I paid for expensive rice. Will not be returning.
Best pad Thai in town! I’ve tried quite a few places for Thai & this might have just taken 1st place. Very authentic & clean eating. I feel good after leaving knowing it’s being made without added ingredients like MSG’s. I’m gluten free so this place rocks. Highly recommend! And the owner was so nice!
The best food, Thai or otherwise, that I've had in a long time. Authentic. Made as ordered, not in batches. The sign is kind of hard to see from the road, (it's across from Community First), but it's well worth finding. The bread pudding is to die for, so don't skip dessert!
Little Thai palace is the best place in Jax for Thai food!! Like their menu states, and other reviews state, they do not do Thai the “American way”, so I was nervous I wouldn’t like their version of Thai since I have only previously had Americanized Thai. This place has ruined all other Thai for me because it was so incredible! Great portion size, spice came in a little cup on the side so I could choose how spicy it was, amazing flavor!! 10/10 would recommend
Tried this place out and it was pretty good! The Thai tea was AMAZING! loved it ! Would definitely recommend! Owner was amazing as well :)
Wife and I really enjoyed our food experience here, food was delicious, staff and owner were exceptional, both agree that this is our go to for authentic Thai food. Thanks Lil Thai for great food and service!!!
The food is prepared very well, the staff is very friendly. Drunken noodles 10/10!
We had a lovely experience trying out Lil Thai! We went there for date night and our hostess/waitress was phenomenal! Tasty entrees & very accommodating for a nut/dairy allergy! Found our new favorite Thai place in town! Support Local! 😄
Phenomenal food, fresh and flavorful. Friendly, attentive and detailed service and staff. Large portions that are very good!
Excellent Thai food! I am Thai so I can say this place is authentic Thai. Friendly Thai owner. Come support a small local business.
The most authentic Thai food you will find here in Jax! Everything is made to order using only ingredients you would find in traditional Thai cuisine. The chef/owner stays true to her heritage, dedicated to creating the best of non-“westernized” Thai cuisine.
Over all good food service and atmosphere.
Food was stellar and so was the service. The owner does the cooking and she spent a lot of time talking to us.
It was soooooo good! I got the tofu pad thai and at first I was worried there wasn’t enough sauce cause there didn’t seem to be any- but it was so flavorful! 10/10. My boyfriend got the woonseen soup. He said it had a very flavorful and had a good blend of textures. Really really good food and the lady who gave me the order was really nice too. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
Fresh made to order food and great service from Ms Birdie!
Literally a spectacular "little thai place". A hidden 💎. Personalized service, delicate favors and refreshing food can barely describe this place. A must visit.
THE PANANG CURRY IS SOOOOOO DELICIOUS!!!! If you like authentic Thai food, this is the place for you! The owner is SO sweet and the food absolutely to die for.
1000% recommend! I will be returning, OFTEN!
My boyfriend and I love Thai food & have been to many restaurants in the Jacksonville area. We are obsessed with lil Thai place & have been 3 times in the past week! You can’t go wrong when looking for authentic Thai food here.
The food is far more authentic than most Thai places I have been around the country. As a truck driver I have searched out as many as I could either walk too or uber, and this little shop is well worth it. JAX you need to try this place out and support this hidden gem. Beware though, this is not a highly Americanized version of Thai, try it and you will love it.
Ordered takeout from here for the first time (not the last!), delicious! Green Curry and Phad Thai were both very good, better than some other Thai restaurants nearby. So much can be made gluten-free!
Awesome food awesome service!
Fresh and amazing
Absolutely authentic - this is the real deal - owner is actually Thai. Fresh and made to order.
If you like "Real Thai Foods", this is the place. The owner uses real ingredients from Thailand.
Thai is my favorite cuisine and I’ve been to hundreds of Thai restaurants and this is the most authentic Thai Restaurant I have ever seen. The waiter was super nice and friendly. Make sure to try out the bread custard dessert. It’s a unique bread pudding that you will never find anywhere else.
We had the tom yum and mixed veggies. Delicious!
The owner very personable and generous! Will be back!!
I just finished my dinner. Miss Berdi is trying her best to put the traditional Thai food she loves and grew up on out there for us to enjoy. I had chicken Tom Kha and chicken Massaman curry Tuesday and the Rangoons and chicken Pad krapow Wednesday. Okay, I eat a lot of chicken. Everything tasted durn good. I always ask for Thai hot, but it was not painful (I made a mistake once with the spice tray and it was painful). It was quite flavorful. If they are busy, expect to wait a few. They cook as the orders come in so don’t expect them to be a 10 minute turnaround takee-outee.
Incredible food and friendly owner. We have been several times and tried many dishes- the food is prepared to order amd worth the (reasonable) wait. The curries are some of the best we have tried. We also enjoy the avocado spring rolls which are very innovative. I appreciate the authenticity of the flavors. Thai tea is very different than what I am accustomed to, and maybe the only thing I wasn’t fond of, but my husband loved it. We will definitely return!
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our experience here. Great food and awesome service. The owner, Birdie, is so kind and fun to talk with. The food is top quality with healthy and fresh ingredients. We will definitely be returning customers!
The food is freshly prepared and very authentic. The chef owner makes a point of that. Much better than any Thai restaurant I’ve tried in the Jacksonville area.
I can’t rave enough about this place. Delicious, fresh, and authentic Thai. The owner is a gracious hostess. She helped us decide on the red curry and the Panang curry . Lil’ Thai place is a little hidden gem.
Chef Berdi seems to love preparing her authentic Thai dishes as much as she does explaining the difference between traditional & American. I choose Pad-Thai with shrimp & steamed veggies on the side. A crispy glass of white wine complimented the lightness of the dish. Lun, the server was attentive & sweet. I look forward to experiencing more of her dishes ❤️
We both had the Pad Thai, bill ed as "traditional" It was the best we've had, much better than the better known Thai restaurant. The chef-waitress was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Lil Thai
Place.
.
Food was delicious and very fresh. Pad Khing, Chicken Fried Rice, Woonsen Soup and Pork Dumplings were all fantastic.
In a town with a lot of Thai options, the flavor and reasonable prices stand out here.
I tried the dumplings and ginger stir fry. Delicate are the tastes. Evocative of the homeland, for any that have been, or hope to go. The proprietress, Berdi, is excited to describe the course preparation and flavorings. Her enthusiasm anticipates what is soon experienced through my senses. And dessert….pictured.
Curry next time.
Most authentic Thai restaurant in Jax by far. The owner/chef works diligently and pours her love into every dish on the menu, starting with hand selecting the finest, freshest, local ingredients available. Had the Panang Curry and Tom Kha soup, both were delicious. Very gluten free friendly which is a plus for many people and healthy while still tasting amazing at the same time. Highly recommend this restaurant. Don’t expect the run of the mill non traditional, Americanized thai food loaded with MSG. Lil Thai Place is on another level.
It is an absolute pleasure for Thai food lovers like myself. My parents were not familiar with Thai. Berdi, the chef, was fantastic. She was accomodating and personable and came out to greet us and discuss the dishes with them. The location has sufficient parking, and while on the smaller (Lil'er?), it was clean and welcoming. It is deserving of its high rating. I will definitely be coming back when visiting again.
By far Best Thai dinner I have ever had. Everything so fresh and full of flavor. Will definitely go back next time in Jacksonville.
Delicious.... As close to authentic Thai s s one can get. Each dish made to order. Owner is delightful.
I was excited to try this Thai place out and was very disappointed. The sauces were runny and they covered my dish in black pepper.
My wife got a very small portion and the flavor was poor. Overall I would not recommend going here again.
The waiter was quite nice and service oriented but I’m in the restaurant for the food and it wasn’t worth the money.
The food was amazing. My favorite were the dumplings appetizer. The owner was very friendly.
Absolutely delicious!! Super clean and fresh as it can be!
My husband and I stopped in, hoping for traditional Thai. We were not disappointed. The owner was knowledgeable and the food was out of this world. We'll definitely be back!
If you are looking at a real Thai restaurant, this is your place!! Food is amazing, we went twice and tried different things and everything was excellent, from appetizers, to noodles, to soups. And Berdi is so nice and welcoming!
Great place! Cute and super nice owner!!
Birdie was Amazing and the food was fresh and delicious! Recommend it to anyone who wants some Thai!
Food was great and staff were very nice
Definitely recommend for authentic Thai food. This restaurant is quite new in town so some people may be afraid to eat here but we took the risk and were very happy we did so. The curry was amazing, the cook came out and talked to us, and the people were nice. Highly recommend
Super nice staff and very delicious food! The service was quick as well. I will definitely be back!
Perfect day with my husband
Great place! Cook explained the menu so well! Would come here.
Good was 😋😋😋
Great, great and great! Going back today. Taking our family.
I love this place! We haven’t had good Thai food in Jax for a long time until Lil Thai, the owner is really nice and her food is amazing, I ate two plates by myself and would’ve eaten a third if I could. Prices were reasonable too!
Husband and I live nearby; we stopped in for a casual date nite bite. We love find new local restaurants to make into usual spots. Recommend the chicken fried rice and the chicken filled wontons. The Pad Thai is authentic and not like others in town. I added a lil chili sauce and Thai Thai sauce and it was more like I'm used to. Probably a healthier version the more authentic. Overall very happy and will return for take out. Wanted to add photos to this review but somehow I am currently unable to upload photos to this posting.
The owner Berde is an absolute pleasure and the food is phenomenal!
Amazing pad khing, great ginger flavor with fresh vegetables that 'snap' over a delicious bed of rice!
Very prompt service perfect for a lunch stop Mid-day!
These people were so nice and the food was amazing.
I love that the owner gave us personal recommendations and was very clear about the authenticity of their Thai food
Our entire family loved our dishes and we all left with clean plates.
Fabulous Thai food that's different from other Jacksonville Thai restaurants. friendly Support a friendly & charming female owned restaurant. Service was a little slow so be patient.
Had lunch with a friend who had been before. Great food and service. Would definitely go back and recommend!
This place is amazing. It was like going to a friends house to eat. The owner Birdie came out to chat with us about our meal and we told her house delicious it was. The different entrees and how much we enjoyed it. She talked to us about the flavors she used and how much it is from when she was growing up. She brought out a sampling of Pad Thai which I had never tried had. It was delicious. I will definitely be ordering it next time around. We ordered the Chicken Drunken noodles, Pork Dumplings, and a beef dish with soup (can’t remember the name but it was so delicious). We ended our meal with delicious Thai coffee. They also have an assortment of alcoholic beverages if you are so inclined. I believe without a doubt anything you order here will be delicious. I can’t wait till the next time I can visit this place
No idea why I was able to get a seat at 8 on a Friday evening, the restaurant should be packed. I loved the food, the massaman curry was fabulous. Highly recommended, go with the medium heat but ask for the house blend pepper. All the flavour, and just the right amount of heat.
Berdi is exceptional in explaining and guiding us through the menu. As someone who hasn't loved Thai food, this was a great experience to learn and broaden my horizons. The food is phenominal. The establishment is very clean and welcoming. I'm super happy with the presentation and education that I received!!! 12/10... will be back.
If you want authentic Thai food come here. The menu is simple, the food is delicious. I had the som tom lau & green curry w pork & eggplant. My husband had the panang - everything was full of flavor!
The food is AMAZING. Unique Thia food. Everything is made to order and fresh! The owner is super friendly and helpful. They can alter any dishes that you might need. Highly recommended.
Excellent home style cooking. Plenty of food.
This is authentic Thai. Loved the larb. We had several dishes for a dinner party and none of it disappointed. Fresh and delicious. I really appreciated how she was very knowledgable about which items were gluten free too.
Our Veterinary doctor whose practice is three doors down from this lovely restaurant; recommended and urged us to give Lil’Thai Place a try. Last Friday we did and LOVED IT, exceptional food and the friendliest and most accommodating Owner/Chef. There was a patron that first time who had already been there seven times! And raved about it as I waited for my food (which I ordered to go) Anyway, today we went again and try other dishes, the owner was gracious enough to send me with samples of her spring rolls on the house! Will definitely keep coming back to try as many menu items as possible.
Kind staff and good food.
Amazing Thai food and service!!!
My wife and I stopped by here for lunch and it is amazing. We really liked the authenticity in the way the cook makes her food.
We left there very satisfied and mentioned a few times throughout the day how great it was. We can not wait to go back. Very delicious and fresh. No other Thai restaurants in Jacksonville that we've eat at over the past 15 years compare. Thanks for opening this amazing "Lil Thai Place" and making delicious authentic Thai food with your authenticity!
Had a great meal at Lil Thai! The food wa super authentic. We enjoyed everything from our pork dumplings, soup, and entrees. We got to speak with the owner about some of the dishes. Will definitely be back!
The owner is a great cook and a great person….I have known her for a long time. Now, the rest of you get to find that out through her delicious menu of authentic Thai dishes. Come hungry and prepare yourself for great flavors, fresh ingredients and a take away menu so you can order food for pick up!!!
Great spot. Will miss Rice Bowl but this is fantastic.
Quite possibly the best pad thai I’ve ever had. Definitely the best Tom Yum soup.
Very new so the inside still needs a little love, but the food and service speak for themselves.
The chef came out and asked how it was. I thought the pad thai needed a little extra sauce, but learned that it was prepared in the traditional way with relatively little sauce, not the americanized version thats weirdly red that we’re used to. (Granted I still ended up adding some extra sauce she brought and for me it was new level with it. But getting to try the traditional taste was cool too).
I look forward to coming back once it’s all set up.
Best Thai🇹🇭Restraunt in Jax!!! The👩🍳owner is super nice and an excellent 👩🍳❤️cook. You will NOT find any artificial ingredients or fillers(msg)😷found in her dishes. Only the best and authentic Thai food is served only here, just as if you were in🇹🇭Thailand itself!🌏🤩You have to try Lil Thai Place!🇹🇭😋
The chef is the best, always checking on the table herself , food tastes great, easy menu , adorable. And a mom that juggles restaurant and family never missing a beat . We'll be eating there at least 2 times a month!!!!💯🍗🥑🫛🌶️🍅🥦🥒
Great food in a friendly atmosphere.
A new authentic thai restaurant.
