Buddha Thai Bistro is a standout among the numerous Thai restaurants in the Jacksonville Beach area, offering an ambiance and decor that sets it apart from the rest. This venue, with its carefully crafted family tradition recipes, is a perfect place to indulge in authentic Thai cuisine.

During our visit, my dining companion and I started with the infamous Thai iced tea, which was refreshingly sweet and creamy, a perfect complement to the starter. We also enjoyed the egg rolls, which were a delightful mix of seasoned chicken, cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, bean threads, and celery, served with a delicious house-made sweet-and-sour sauce.

For the main course, we ordered the emerald green curry. This dish featured a vibrant blend of purple small eggplants, zucchini, green peppers, carrots, and Thai rice. The flavor infusion was simply brilliant, and the presentation was reminiscent of a five-star establishment. Each bite was a testament to the care and expertise that goes into every dish at Buddha Thai Bistro.

My trip to Jacksonville was brought to you by Buddha Belly... I guess it's actually called Buddha Thai Bistro, but it will always be known as Buddha Belly to me.

We ordered takeout from here on July 3rd to gear up for the 4th festivities, as you got to go into the 4th with a full belly. The one regret was that we only ordered 1 of the drunken noodles and 1 Shu Mai Thai dumpling appetizer. I guess that's 2 regrets, but whatever.

The next day while sitting at Lemon Bar, 3 too many High Noons deep and a couple of Zyns tucked high and tight, I was fighting for my life. My big bro had his spidey senses tingle and said "should order Buddha Belly again and ride the bikes back to the house so it gets there at the same time…?"

This idea was up there with fighting a war for our Independence over a 3% stamp tax 248 years ago. What better to celebrate our independence from Tyranny? Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.

He proceeds to order $220 worth of Buddha Belly, and it gets there 2 minutes after we finished the bike ride home. God is the perfect planner.

In total, we got 5 orders of Chicken Curry Puffs, 4 orders of Shu Mai Dumplings, 2 Pad Thais, 2 Drunken Noodles, and a Curry. All of that for 5 people lol. We learned from our mistakes. Fool me once...

The Drunken noodles were head and shoulders the MVP. It seems Pad Thai gets more love than Drunken Noodles in general, and I don't know why. It's oddly similar to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

We WAY over-ordered, but ended up having the leftovers for lunch the next day. So in total, I had 3 Buddha belly meals in a 2 day span and I wasn't even mad...

Love this food! Fantastic Thai food by the beach! Who could say no to this positively unique and delicious food with inviting quality service?! From the lychee soda to the lycheetini or the coconut Tom kha soup or the rangoons (all our favorite dishes!) and even their unique peanut sauce! We will always come back here no matter how near or far!

Buddhas belly is ALWAYS a good choice. We've been going here for years and have never been let down. From the appetizers (we did crab Rangoon and roti this time) to the eggplant pra ram and the drinks (White Buddha is a winner). Always so delicious. A beautiful atmosphere and comfortable seating. A group of us went in for a late lunch on the weekend. The service was great and the food was pretty good. Minor complaints - I asked for "Thai hot," but it was medium at best. They provided a variety of chili stuff to add, which was super, but it is best when it is made properly hot by the chef. The other complaint was that many of the vegetables were basic and, while I suppose they might be authentic, I have eaten a lot of Thai, and it seemes like some restaurants use substitutes of harder to find or more expensive vegetables. Bell pepper, peas, white onion, and white mushrooms are used in Thai cooking, but straw mushrooms, thai eggplant, green onion, and long beans are better.

However, the service wasn’t great. The appetizers and entrees came out of the kitchen all together, and we got the drinks we ordered when we sat down by the time we had already finished our entrees! The drinks were also more expensive than listed on the menu.

Things have clearly changed in the way they cook and the ingredients. Always loved this place but just went tonight and the typical favorites we ordered were all sub par. Curry puffs were awful and seemed to be a frozen pre cooked item. The rice was almost like paste it was so over cooked and the orange chicken dish had too much breading and was not what it used to be. Shame but doubt we’ll return with the new owners seeming to have cut corners and sacrificed quality

Buddha's keeps confirming how well they prepare their dishes. Their Pra Ram with eggplant is a sublime pleasure, and their stuffed salmon never fails to please. Their curry dishes are wonderful, and the Jade Fried Rice is simply delicious. Their ginger sauce is incredible, and in fact I've never had a bad meal here!

I gotta say this place is the best in Jax for Pad Thai hands down so good and the servers are amazing 💯💯💯

I think I finally found the best Pad Thai in Jacksonville. After two years looking. They have all of the spices/sauces to add spice also. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean. I will be back for sure.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with a cozy and intimate vibe. Oil took excellent care of us. We ordered the tom kha soup, drunken noodles and pepper and garlic stir fry. All were flavorful and generously portioned. The beef in the stir fry was melt in your mouth tender. We finished with pumpkin custard for dessert. It is served warm accompanied by a blueberry sauce and is very airy and light. I highly recommend trying it.

My husband and I came here on the recommendation of his father and decided to split a royal pad thai and a ginger curry. The ginger curry with its variety of vegetables and side of rice was fragrant full of spice. But between the both of us, we tore into that pad thai FAST! It was obvious why it was a favorite with how juicy it is and how it melts in your mouth. Would recommend to anyone who is in the area!

We are still talking about what a wonderful meal we had and what terrific service!! I called ahead to see if we could sit outside and when we got there the table was set for us and was beautiful. 2 of us ordered the whole fish and it was spectacular! The presentation was amazing and fileting it was incredibly easy. All the other dishes were wonderful also! The service was incomparable. Altho the server said it was her first day, she could not have been more accomodating and could not have provided better or more attentive service! I can't remember having been happier with a restaurant or having had a better meal.

This is an amazing local Thai spot that my husband and I love. We love the quiet, classy atmosphere, the excellent service, and the delicious food. Some of our favorites are the green curry, basil fried rice, khaou soi, and for an appetizer the crab rangoon. We love to sit at the bar for date night, or if we have our kids we sit in a booth or outside on the adorable patio. The owner Noom and her staff are so friendly and deliver great service. Definitely a must go to if in Jax Beach, we highly recommend!

This was my first time dining here. The food was fantastic.
The only complained if you want to call it that, is that the waitress was wearing a loud smelling perfume. Other than that, we will definitely be back.

My wife and I love this place so much! The food is amazing, the staff is friendly, and most of all you can tell that they genuinely want your experience to be amazing. Even our 3 children have found dishes they enjoy. If you're in the area and want some amazing Thai food, this is your place! Highly recommend!
