This restaurant has a cozy, calming interior with beautiful walls and nice booths, as well as really convenient bar seating. I went with my family and we ordered the fish and shrimp Tempura, both of which came with veggies and made for really tasty (and filling) appetizers. Then we also got cashew shrimp with rice, stir fry udon, Thai mango shrimp with rice, and 2 avocado/salmon rolls and 2 cream cheese/salmon rolls. We tried a taro boba tea and a strawberry ramuné soda.

Honestly, everything we got was tasty, generously portioned, and worth the price. The service was exceptionally fast, and it was an incredibly satisfying meal. I would highly recommend going here for a casual meal or if you're visiting new smyrna beach and want a place that caters to both the sushi-heads and thai-heads.

Sweet potato rolls were on point. Pad Thai was on point. Nice spot to check out if you’re ever in Edgewater and wanna grab a bite to eat. I just wish they had the chili sauce to go with the Pad Thai but they did give me some hot sauce.

So we were starving when we finally decided on getting some Thai and sushi. OMG we threw it all away. We were so upset. The panang curry was supposed to have chicken and it has this slimy, chewy worms. Also it didn’t taste like panang, the flavor was way off. So I started to eat my sushi and it is very bright color which seems to me not the real deal. It was tasting really fishy so I ended up throwing it away. I could not believe this place has good reviews. I guess maybe the hibachi side is decent???

Sushi quality was average. Didn't offer a solution when my friend didn't like it after one bite. Miso soup was bad and/or salty.

Excellent food and customer service

I lover their panang curry and used to get it almost weekly, but lately somethings been wrong with it. It has a coarse grit in the sauce. I believe it's the coating from old worn pans/woks. I don't know what kind of pans they use but I've noticed the same kind of grit when I've ordered fajitas and see that the cast iron plate is chipping away. It's more than just a little bit of grit that feels like sand in your mouth. It's more like chewing on charcoal or tinfoil. A huge turnoff and one bite of it ruins the whole meal. Royal sushi please get new pans and fix this so I can come back to your delicious panang!!!

Ate here while on vacation in New Smyrna Beach. Had a good plate of Pad Thai for lunch. For a small Thai place in Florida it was good.

They have some really good sushi. The decor is a bit blah but it's not about that it's about the food and there's is really good

I have been going to royal for over a year and a half and have had some dietary restrictions. I had been told the miso and onion soup was vegan prior to them just now telling me that both in fact have beef and fish sauce. When addressed with the server named Tucci, they responded to me rudely and called me disgusting for my dietary choices. This staff does not take people's dietary restrictions as well as allergies seriously. I will not be coming back.

Best damn sushi place i ever had

Thai food is one of my favorites, so when Royal Sushi Grill & Thai was recommended to me, so I had to stop by and try them. I was really looking forward to trying this new restaurant
I ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp, volcano shrimp and vegetable rolls.
The pineapple fried rice with shrimp was pretty bland, it needed more pineapple. Having a dish called volcano shrimp, you might think it would be spicy? But it was bland tasting too. The vegetable rolls were greasy and just ok!
Thai food is one of my favorite go-to restaurants, but sometimes I feel they hold back on the spices for the general public. I might try them again when I'm up that way, to see if they can get me an authentic Thai meal!

Hot soup and hot meals shouldn't be bagged with cold sushi. Hibachi rice isn't hibachi rice, it's Chinese fried rice covered in a sauce that leaves it slimy.

I just wanted to get on here and leave a fair review because the lady that arrived to pick up after I did was complaining that it was taking a few extra minutes on a busy Saturday to get her order. It was NOT a long wait, it was Saturday, generally the busiest night of the week for almost every restaurant and the food was excellent, as always. She threatened to review bomb them. Shame on her for trying to hurt a local business because they were busy. Would recommend to everyone.

Always had great experiences until last night. My food was COMPLETELY inedible due to it all being extremely burnt. When I called a man answered and said it can be remade and then some rude lady got on the phone. She tried to offer me 15% on a future order when I couldn't even eat this one. I'm out $20 for food I couldn't even eat. She refused to refund me or remake it for their mistake. I will never be going here again after this.

This is probably one of the worst Thai places I’ve ever been to. Not only their curry isn’t really curry but I told them not to add a couple things to my order and they did. So they completely messed up my order and I paid $15 dollars for it. You won’t ever see me go back to this place again. No way!

The spicy tuna roll was very low grade. It didn’t even taste like tuna. Wouldn’t eat here again.

It's a very nice looking restaurant but the food can be very hit or miss. My last order of fried rice was not palatable but the red curry is usually fantastic.

Very very different and most welcome to little old Edgewater! Food was really great. Got chicken satay, Love Roll, and panang and banana boba. Yep! Boba!!! Mom got spicy edamame, chicken and steak habachi meal. Was sooo good! Definitely reccomend in house dining, otherwise, great take out!

From the outside, we were a little concerned about what we would find inside. To our absolute delight, we found a very clean, quaint little family restaurant with AMAZING FOOD! So so so pleased I wish this place was closer to home.

I recently visited Royal Sushi & Thai in Edgewater, Florida and had a wonderful experience. The crab puffs were delicious, and the curry chicken was flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant was clean and quiet, although the music could have been better. The service was attentive and friendly. Overall, I recommend Royal Sushi & Thai for a tasty sushi and Thai dining experience in the area.

They also didn't include any wasabi in my sushi. The only solution offered was next time we will give you an extra salad. Poor customer service. CHECK YOUR ORDER CAREFULLY!

This was my go to place when I lived in Florida. Good prices and amazing food! You HAVE to try the royal sushi roll. I can’t find anything like it and I miss it so much!

Generally I have had a good experience at this restaurant. Today for the first time , I decided to order dessert. I was served cheesecake that was frozen. As we are all aware , cheesecake is more narrow at the end than it is at the top. I started eating from the bottom which was not frozen but you could tell it was very cold. As I got to the middle of the cheesecake, it was frozen and I could not eat it. The waitress when I asked her did you get it out of the freezer she said yes, our cheesecake is sold from the freezer. I was like well you should probably thaw it out before you serve it. She then told me that she was going to charge me a discounted price because I'd already had some of the cheesecake. Yes, I didn't get to enjoy the cheesecake because it was frozen. I was trying to get through it but I couldn't. So then she comes around the register and snatches the receipt that I signed out of my hand !
I told her I would not be back. Needless to say my whole entire work team comes to this place but I will be sharing with them my experience today.

Had the chirashi, which I usually order when I am at sushi places - this one was the best I have had in a long time! Not only was it quite beautiful, but the fish was varied and so delicious. And the rice! The smoky seasoning on the sushi rice really blew the whole dish out of the water! Can’t wait to go back and have it again.

I'm giving 2 stars for the food, which was very good, as was the service. BUT I wish I had taken a closer look at how dirty the place was before I ordered. I probably wouldn't have. Very grungy, greasy, cobwebs, dust, and the bathroom! Yikes! Totally made me wonder what the kitchen looks like, and if I was going to get sick. Staff sitting there on their cell phones when they should be CLEANING! Good food, but I won't be back due to the unsanitary conditions.

We love this place! It's our go-to for date night. The curry is absolutely amazing! (We always get yellow and red). Pad Thai and chicken fried rice are both excellent. The sushi is good, too (but honestly, we usually go to Yumi sushi in NSB if that's what we're after. They make the best sushi in the area there). The service is excellent (they always get our order right despite the fact that I special order different veggies). But really, you have to try their curry. SO so good!

Not so great. My friend ordered Pad See Eiw with chicken and said it had no flavor. I tried it and agree. It tasted like cooking oil. That’s all I could taste. I ordered Panang Curry with chicken. It was not very good either and lacked flavor. Probably won’t go back.
