This is by far the best sushi in PB County (and beyond) and that is an understatement. Chef Noutta is also the owner and don't confuse this spot, which is new, with the previous restaurant that occupied this space. The fish is exceptionally fresh and prepared with tremendous skill.
The omakase experience is $55 for 8 (very rich and filling) pieces -- an excellent price as Chef is building his business. Highlights from our omakase included tuna otoro, ora king salmon, a branzino exceptionally prepared, hand roll, quail egg and more than I can remember. Chef has 26 years of experience (Broken Sound country club and many other quality places) and has now gone out on his own. On a previous visit we had a bluefin tuna toro roll that was fantastic, great quality toro and masterfully prepared. We also had a roll with salmon and hamachi and again the fresh fish and preparation elevated this to an extremely high level. Ora King Salmon Toro sashimi was buttery, savory and excellent. Hamachi toro sushi also was great. Chef Noutta sent out complimentary salmon ceviche to start and the salmon was fresh with a perfect appearance and flavor. Chef clearly stands behind his work and it shows. He has exacting standards that he does not compromise in terms of the quality of the fish.

This restaurant is Off The Charts! I cannot recommend it enough. From beginning to end, it was perfection. We enjoyed steamed dumplings, gyoza, tuna sushi pizza, yellowtail/scallion hand rolls and Omaski. One dish was better than the next. The Service was impeccable. Chef Noutta is extremely talented and all I can say is I wish this restaurant was in New Jersey. I may come back to see him before I go visit family. It’s a must go.

Brand new Asian/ sushi restaurant that replaced another sushi and before that Vietnamese restaurants. It is called NOUTTA SUSHI - Omakase Style, Omakase means " I leave it up to you" meaning the chef. They only use fresh fish not frozen. It is very good but on the pricey side.

My wife tried the Chicken Soup ,chicken wonton in clear broth.
California Roll, kani crab, avocado, cucumber, sesame seeds. She thought both were just fair. I ordered the Sashimi Combo, slices of fresh tuna, 3 slices of ora king salmon, and 3 slices of white fish and the Shrimp Tempura With veggie, lightly battered and deep fried. Inadvertently , they also made a Shrimp Tempura Roll, Tiger shrimp, avocado, asparagus, eel sauce, spicy mayo, which they didn't charge me. The fish was the freshest I have had

My granddaughter searched and found Tropical Sushi and so glad she did. We ordered the Avocado and Krab salad and the Krab Pillows for an appetizer. Both were excellent. The Krab pillows are fried crispy but creamy and delicious on the inside. Similar to crab Rangoon but better. The avocado and Krab salad has thin sliced avocados on a bed of crab and seaweed salad flavorful dressing. Excellent! She ordered the Del Ray roll, spider roll and shrimp tempura roll. The presentation was delightful and served with wasabi and pickled ginger. Only good things to say about all three but we decided the Del Ray roll took the prize. I highly recommend tropical sushi to anyone and especially those with the most discriminating sushi tastes. Service was excellent. The ambience is very Zen. A definite two thumbs up!

Everything about this place was great. The service, atmosphere, drinks, the food. The fish tasted extremely fresh. We got the boat and is was amazing.

We paid a TON of money for sushi rolls tonight. They were the smallest sushi rolls we ever got in our life. I don't even eat sushi, but the 3 other people who order take-out rolls were shocked at the portion size. The salad portions were tiny as well compared to their local competitors. The pad-se-ew was good, but the portions were 50-60% the size as local resturants who charge the same thing.

This is a new restaurant, and I hope to come back soon when they get their kitchen together. At this point, I would not recommend anyone to get food there unless you like overpaying for crappy sushi.

PS: You forgot my "side of spicy mayo." It's not a big deal at all and doesn't change my rating, but you should have those ready next to the soy-sauce cups at your takeout stations.

We paid almost 140-160$ for dinner tonight for a party of 6 for a celebratory dinner. It was SAD. I hate writing bad reviews (i normally post 3-4 good ones a week in the local delray/boca forums), but I gotta write here so the owner knows what's going on.

Very important...many reviews are for the previous restaurant which occupied this location. This restaurant has only been open as of 12/2/24.
A guest and I went last night, 12/14, which was grand opening night. Despite having a reservation, were were seated at the sushi bar as there were no tables available. I expected slower service, as it was their grand opening, but it took 20 minutes to get a drink order in (20 minutes before we were even acknowledged). My guest got sake. I had ice tea. When we finally got to order, my guest ordered the chef special of sushi (chef's choice of items, which is $100)
I ordered massanan with chicken. Which arrived rather quickly, but the chef had not started on my guests chef's special.
He enjoyed his and the massaman was good, though traditionally it comes with sweet potatoes. This order had both, but mainly white, which were undercooked and hard as rocks.
Comments: when busy, very noisy. Should have saved a table for reservations (I requested a booth), we both thought the chef special was a little pricey and ordering other items would be better to get what you want.
Minor comments...lacked decorations for atmosphere and one of the booths was unusable as there was a computer set up on it. Should have been off the dining room floor.
Will go back, probably, on a slower night, out of season.

My husband and I Scott are huge sushi fans!! We saw this place just opened and had to try it..to say it was amazing in an understatement!!! The food was amazing, the toro was like butter, and we were treated like family. We sat at the sushi bar and we were greeted with a complementary sushi appetizer that was delightful!! The chefs as well as the staff are so friendly!! This will be our new go to place!!!! A must visit !!

Excellent fresh fish. Chef made us a crispy rice with toro on top which was unreal. Omakase fish pieces were so good as well as hand rolls. Ceviche came with delicious crispy skin on top. We only got sushi but curious to try other food. Humble atmosphere but good quality is worth it.

Updated November 2024 - No surprise the place closed and I never got my credit from my horrible meal. Is this place going to reopen under another name as an Omakase restaurant?? Look around at your demographics!!!!

Updated: The manager of the restaurant called me back and apologized for the food, etc. He said I should not pay for it and I sent in my receipt for a refund. He invited me to come in the next day When he will be working and he will cook my food. I told him that wasn’t necessary, but he insisted. I will update the ratings tomorrow after I taste thr hibachi and pad Thai. There was no language barrier between the manager Justin and I. he spoke wonderfully and was very caring.

INITIAL POST I ordered take out and was excited to taste their Pad Thai, Hibachi, and sushi. The woman taking my order said Pho was their specialty, but I wanted sushi. She was unable to answer any of my questions regarding the sushi. My husband has a shellfish allergy and 85% of the sushi rolls had shellfish in them. Needless to say, I ordered chicken pad Thai and asked for them to make it spicy. Hi, ordered the chicken hibachi and a spicy tuna roll.

When I got home, the Sushi was the only thing that looked edible. The pad Thai was overcooked and absolutely had no flavor. The Noodles were mush and the chicken was dry. There was no sauce. Mind you it’s not the orange sauce that I like, but it’s the brown version however, there was still no sauce or taste. The chicken hibachi was awful too. The fried rice it came with, was Seasoned with pepper only. The rice was mushy and the vegetables and chicken were tasteless. Such a shame.

I am awaiting a callback from the manager regarding bringing the food back and getting a refund or getting some sort of credit if we decide to return and order sushi.

Menu has changed so no printed menu is available. Very confusing to order when you walk in for a carry out. I did not care for the item that I ordered and actually I think I got an upset stomach from it. It was the chicken pad Thai.

Husband wanted Pho, a quick search and we found tropical sushi nearby. Ordered take out Pho and hibachi chicken/veggies. My hibachi was really good and great portion for the price. husband says his was PhoKing delicious.. will definitely order again

We order some sashimi combo and they took 30+ to make the order to go… the fish wasn’t fresh, the cut was too thick and the nigiri wasn’t good… we couldn’t even finish it… maybe the viet part is good but the sushi is not good tbh we also order the spicy tuna roll and it was just tuna and spicy mayo on top…

I have lived in this area for over 5 years and try a lot of the Chinese and Japanese restaurants in this area from military to almost next to turnpike. Well I am happy to announce that the food here is amazing, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the owner came out to help me pick out my food because I am allergic to seafood. If you’re in this area you need to try this place out you won’t be disappointed. Thank you for the delicious food. My new go to place to eat.

I stoped by for a pickup and ended up staying for lunch because the place was clean and inviting, with a kook vibe inside. The staff was polite and efficient, I ordered 2 rolls and was happy with the results.

When I moved to the area I was prepared that all Asian food would be catered to the dominantly white demographic that lives here. I was not wrong. All pho was catered to Americans and the food was flavorless.

At some point I noticed a little Vietnamese place near my apartment and decided to check it out.

I was completely blown away. It was clear the chef did not alter his recipes just to appease other people, and stuck to completely authentic recipes.

The beef pho was correct and even included tendon, which melts in your mouth. The beef broth base was completely full of flavor. I cannot recommend their beef pho enough!

The chef even delivered it to me himself once and it was clear he was proud of the food he's making and it's clear why. This is the best Vietnamese in Florida. This food isn't just good, it's authentic home cooking. You are eating the same pho the chef would serve to his family. It is so flavorful, the beef is correct, and the broth is unreal.

I understand they have now expanded to sushi which I haven't tried yet, but they do still offer the full Vietnamese menu as well.

I can't stress this enough. Go to this restaurant. Your need for authentic Vietnamese food will be met completely, and you'll be as addicted as I now am.

The service is amazing too. Everyone is so nice and aware. This is easily my favorite restaurant in the area.

Overall, good service. I ordered Salmon Nigiri. 2 pieces plus 2 other rolls. I never got the salmon, but they charged me for it, i mentioned it and they took it off the bill. The sushi rolls were good, but it seemed like they all were covered with way too much pink mayo sauce it took away from the sushi taste. My wife wiped hers off on a napkin. The prices were reasonable. This place is around the corner. We'll give it another try and hope for better results.

Food and service was fantastic, I had the grilled pork rolls, vermicelli and the volcano sushi and did not disappoint. I would highly recommend.

I went here with my wife, children, and was mother-in-law. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. I would definitely return here and highly recommend it. My kids all commented that it was the best sushi they have ever had.

Delicious fresh sushi! Honestly, this place beats the freshness scale compared to everywhere else close by. Chicken dumplings are great. The broth for the Pho Bo is magnificent, cooked on site for 8hrs. Green dragon roll was fantastic.
I know it's brand new, so having everything stay fresh and as good as it is despite them still building up their business is impressive.

Very impressed with this new sushi spot in Delray Beach. The pieces were fresh and large portions, and we appreciated that the owner/sushi chef came over to explain what was in each roll, as well as offer some delicious homemade sauce to accompany the sashimi. Will definitely return

Really excellent, I highly recommend checking this place out and giving them lots of your business. The staff is friendly and eager to serve. The pho was really excellent. It had the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and umami in the broth. The vermicelli and sushi were also both excellent.

We were at the Kingspoint Shopping Center and decided to have lunch. Tropical Sushi is new, so we decided to try it. The new owner came over, greeted us and showed us to a table. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, and the booths very comfortable. We got our drinks quickly and we ordered lunch. I've never been to a restaurant with such a huge choices of rolls. I had the Green Dragon, which was very delicious. I also had the eel roll which was equally good.
My husband had the Spring Rolls, which I admit were a bit tough. He also ordered the Delray Roll, which was VERY delicious. As I said, the service is excellent. Overall we had a very good experience and will definitely go there again. Oh, and they also deliver, which is a huge plus.
