Great restaurant. It's small with a 55 person max cap and stays busy.average food cost is $15 to 20 a roll or meal. The portion size is huge and honestly it has more sushi fish than most restaurants. I like the Stetson. Service is great but can take a minute depending on how busy they are. We go every couple months and have not been let down yet. Multiple gluten free options including Gluten Free Soy Sauce.l but ne sure to mention it and the chef will make changes as needed. We had 5 rols and an app for about $100 and it was totally worth it.

Just overall was not a great experience and I would not recommend this restaurant and definitely will never return.

I was so impressed with the experience I had in Oudom Thai and Sushi this evening. Never expected to get that level of customer service, quality, and quantity of the food. Quality was beyond anything I ever had before traveling around the world. My server Michelle was so professional, very friendly, and exceptionally knowledgeable. I felt taking care of as if i was at home with family. I'm from Fort Lauderdale, and coming to a smaller town, i never expected to get that quality of experience. I highly recommend it ❤️

A hidden gem!!! OMG... my husband and I wandered into this little spot tonight looking for something to eat..didn't really know what to expect and holy cow...we came out over the moon, fat and happy! Like blown away.....best thai food I've ever had. Our waitress was phenomenal too. She suggested the Drunken Noodles we got them "hot" and then we added on the basil fried rice "medium." I have had Drunken noodles at another Thai spot in Sanford and wasn't really impressed but THESE, yall!! The moment I took a wiff they took me back in time to my all time favorite thai dish I used to get as a child. my Mom would take us to this little spot in south florida and I've never found that exact flavor again until now. The rice paired perfectly with the noodles and we were in heaven...not a single bite was left and if I could of licked the plate I would! So much love clearly goes into these dishes. Compliments to the chef! We can't wait to come back and try more!

You can tell Oudom has new owners and that's NOT a good thing. PVC sticking out of the wall and barriers made from flags that belong in a teenagers room. The service was awful; my girlfriend and I came in 1 hour and 15 minutes before afternoon closing and our waitress was rude to us, even talking about us coming in "right before closing" out loud and in Spanish thinking because I'm White I can't understand Spanish, ignorance is bliss. The food was okay, the drinks are watered down and they don't even have a drink menu.

Came in because of the 5 star reviews and we’ll, kinda disappointed with it. Tried to start with an appetizer I wanted to try andddd didn’t have it. Ordered the Pad Thai and it was alright. Went to checkout and turns to find out they don’t accept cash? Kinda shocked to see a place not except a US currency. So I had to use card and well the tip percent wasn’t a friendly site to see. Definitely hope you it can be fixed.

I absolutely love Oudom's! Their Sweet and Sour Chicken and Pad Thai are my go-to favorites, always packed with flavor. The vegetables are consistently fresh, which makes every bite a treat. I have been there twice before, and it was outstanding. I ordered Summer Roll, Ocean Sushi Roll, and Chicken Pad Thai. Summer Roll was good, but the "Peanut Sauce" wasn't very peanutty. Ocen Roll was loose, and it has seaweed salad in it...yuck! The Pad Thai...WORST i have EVER had!! My favorite food is Thai food, and I have eaten Pad Thai all over the world...this was not Pad Thai. Firstly, it had broccoli in it. There was no egg or peanuts in it, and i couldn't taste any Tamarind. The noodles were all broken and small, and it was like a soup. Couldn't pick much up with chopsticks. It was like a weak chicken in garlic sauce with vegetables at best. So disappointing, especially since the last 2 times i went there, the Pad Thai was outstanding...in my top 5 ever...before tonight!

The waiter dumped my sushi roll on the table and walked off. No soy sauce, even though he brought a little sauce dish. I had to ask for it. Also, the sushi was presented in a soup bowl!!!!

By the time the Pad Thai came, I just wanted to leave, so I asked for boxes, paid, and got the heck outta there.

Me and my partner are both Deland natives and came here for the first time on a date night. We were blown away by the food, it was delicious. Not to mention it came out quickly during peak dinner hours on a Saturday night.

Food was amazing, customer service was well, but they don’t take cash, when your paying the tip be careful. Yesterday we went to eat we payed with a card and it took about a 40% tip, taking way more than what the receipt said. Bathroom could be better.

We ate there on Saturday evening. My dish was fine. My wife ordered the Pad Thai. That evening she starting getting sick, we did not think that it was the food though. The next day I ate her leftovers and I became sick that evening. So we came to the conclusion that it was her dish that gave us food poisoning.

First time eating at this restaurant. We had the Yellow Curry with flank steak. Some of the steak looked a little pre-chewed. The saving grace was the white rice & the Thai Tea. The atmosphere & staff gave a vibe more of a greasy pizza place than a thai restaurant. Maybe, we'll try again in the future.

I’ve lived in Deland for seven years and never tried this place. The food was fresh and our server was really nice. Everything was so delicious…the dinner, the wine the sushi we will definitely be back.

I have no clue what took us so long to eat here. We had a small wait for dinner, and were given water with lemon imediatly after being seated. I ordered the pepper garlic and a thai tea, my wife ordered wonton soup an pot stickers. The food was on point as far as presentation and with a taste to match. Literally perfect in every way. The service from the moment you sit down is welcoming and warm. The food is fantastic and the prices are cheap for what you get! Service was perfect as well! Other places in downtown Deland(or Florida) can't compete with every level that this restaurant is at.

Best sushi in town!

I dined here with a friend today. She had been here before and assured me that I would like it. We ordered two appetizers to share. Spring rolls and Chicken Sate. The there were two spring rolls. They were stuffed with vegetables and rice noodles. The Chicken Sate had four pieces of chicken on wooden skewers and coated with a delicious peanut sauce. We each ordered a meal too. I don’t remember what my friend’s dish was called. It had vegetables and meat over rice noodles. I asked our waitress what main dish included eggplant. She said none of them but they can add it to any main dish for the vegetables. It was so delicious. I wish I had gotten our waitress’s name to give her a shoutout for her suggestion!

Just moved here from Texas and it’s become my favorite restaurant in town. Delicious!

We have eat there once before, which was very nice. But tonight, Feb 14/24,
The service was poor, we didn't get our meals together , the waiter did apologize for the delay, and the soup, well I couldn't eat it.
Baby crying, and unhappy customers, trying to pickup their meal that was lost . Unfortunately we where seated by the door.
It just wasn't the evening we where hoping for.

Have been here before the new owners and it was pretty good. Since it’s been busier we decided to give it another try. The first time was really good, second time it was okay. Pad see ew didn’t have any flavor. The rice had spice and so did the woonsen. He got the summer rolls and that would be my biggest complaint. For the price I think they were way too small. Two bites each. Won’t get those again but maybe go back and try other items off the menu

Far and away the finest sushi I've eaten in such a long time! Quantity and quality with exceptional flavors. Excellent service with a whole team working together. Bohemian atmosphere with energy and lovely little private booths. Very Large menu! Advice would be to offer an actual drink menu also as options and pricing were not transparent.

My wife and i live in mount dora and stop here when we visit deland. unfortunately our lunch last week was terrible.

the spring rolls we had for an appetizer were ice cold when we bit into them. the waitress felt terrible and returned them to the kitchen. My lunch special was pepper steak and you could count the number of pieces of beef on one hand.

needless to say we will never dine here again

I've been going to Oudom for the past 3 years and I feel like the service and quality of food has slowly diminished. I go because I do like the food and I like the "mom and pop" feel of a smaller restaurant. I prefer supporting local. However, over the past year, the customer service has gotten really bad and I don't know if it's not enough staff, economy, or what. Tonight, I think, was the final straw. For the first 30 mins I sat waiting, I was treated so rudely. No one came to take my drink order nor food order. I watched 4 groups of people (groups ranging from 2 to 5 people) who walked in after me, seated, and have their orders taken. I tried to flag down a server twice to only be told to wait and someone will be with me shortly. That never happened. I watched servers make small talk with other folks and joke around behind the bar. I wasn't going to wave down another staff member a third time because I felt like I shouldn't have to. At 40 mins I left. I know this review won't mean anything to them. If they could care less about my order, I'm sure they could care less about my business - which is a shame to me. I'll just take my business else where, but I won't ever suggest this place to anyone ever again.

While I'm super excited y'all had the baby (congrats), I saw your husband there waiting on tables and you at one point (I got the impression you weren't working though). In fact, I walked past him as I left and I saw him outside with your other daughter I believe. There was also an older woman holding the baby on the floor behind the register. I get things get busy, but it didn't excuse the customer service nor the excuse that yall weren't there when you clearly were.

Newbies to your restaraunt and was pleasantly surprised. Kudos to our little waitress who was insightful, energetic and knowledgeable. She won us over with the extra sauces. If we could remember her name, we would do a shout out and tell the viewers to recommend our petite waitress. Looking forward to bringing friends and family to this establishment.

I've frequented Oudom in the past years for Pad Thai dine in with a pleasant experience. Last night I ordered Pad Thai take out. The heat was appropriate for the order but the noodle and dish overall felt like the end of the day scrapes were in my order. The noodles were in small bits, the calamari was small and dry pieces. Overall the dish was missing the luster that I remember from Oudom. I hope the owner is able to keep the quality in check as it is a fine establishment for Deland.

Ordered the Triple Spice Fish on a take-out on Sat. and it was inedible. I couldn't eat any of the fish. It was stringy, grisley. Each bite left thin stringy pieces in my mouth. Not sure if they deep fried frozen chunks, but it was terrible. I didn't expect two chunks of seasonless coated fried fish anyway. . Never had a bad meal here before. Something changed.

I would not recommend this restaurant. We ordered take out and when we arrived they did not put in our order. They reported they forgot to do it because it was “super busy”. The place was dead and they had cockroaches… the host said “ everyone has cockroaches because of the area.” They told us it would take 7 minutes. We waited 25 minutes and asked for free appetizer and was informed that they could not do that because they were super busy and that’s why our food was not done. I have been a loyal customer and will never come back. Horrible hospitality and it’s filled with roaches now!

The sushi at Oudum is the best around! It's a no frills establishment especially after they took down the colorful fabrics that they hung during COVID. The staff is super friendly and attentive. They worked together as a team, each stopping by our table to see if we needed anything.

This is my family’s go-to for dinner! We love all the food here (especially the salmon bowl, and the volcano roll) this cute little business also is clearly family oriented and we love seeing the sweet little girl.

We are hooked ! This is the place to go! Everyone that wants to go to lunch knows not to ask me where to go, over the last 3 years ish, I have introduced many people to the menu" yes even only steak& potatoes" friends ", have had most on the menu!

The sushi was bad. Dried out rice, over sauced, large chunks of unshelled shrimp, and bland. Overpriced for the quality of ingredients.

The food is amazing but the customer service is not really good they just there. Was not a friendly at all.

There were a variety of items of which some I had not seen before. I had the claypot with chicken, which was fantastic! Will come back!

food was good; tasty and fresh. sushi was visually appealing and fresh. the pineapple fried rice is really good and comes served in half a pineapple. it was a little crowded but that's normal for a downtown location.

Oudom Thai I’m Deland Florida never ceases to amaze me, the food here is delicious! Instead of the volcano roll, today I got the DeLand roll with cheese roll and shrimp tempura. Delicious! I have no complaints. The service here is prompt, the entire staff here is attentive. Thank you Michelle, Sherri, and Carlos are a BLAST!!

Decided to try this place out while in town for a class. I’m glad I walked in. The food was really good. The miso soup tasted great and was huge. Most places just do a small bowl this place does a big one. The squid salad was also very generous and tasted great. Finally I had the Yakuza roll and that was one of the best rolls I’ve had. My only complaint is that the Yakuza roll included asparagus even though it wasn’t listed in the description of the item so I sent it back and asked for it to be made without. But otherwise it was solid!!!

The service is great. Amal intimate environment. The first time I ever had drunken noodle and now I’m a fan. The calamari and snapper is fresh and delicious. The tempura shrimp is also delicious! Will eat here again for sure. Great place for fresh sushi as well.

This was my first experience with Thai food. I was so excited to try it. And this place did not disappoint! The waitress was so helpful. Answered all of our questions, made suggestions and was super friendly. The food was amazing! I had the Drunken Noodles. I can't wait to try another dish!!

I have been coming here for 12 years and it is consistently the best restaurant in Deland! If you have been coming here long enough you would understand that the baby is the best part! This is the very best food in Deland and staff. Obviously the owners are doing a great job if their employees have been here for so long.

I recently visited Oudom and was not happy at all. We have been coming here for 12 years because the food is very good.. but the service this time was horrible. First of all while other people were getting their food that came after us the waitress did not even apologize as to why. Then the real kicker was the waiter had his baby hanging from his neck while waiting tables. This might be the new norm but it is very unprofessional in my opinion.. I am sad to say I won’t eat in anymore.

The sushi was incredible, and the service was excellent as always ( Thank you Sam ). I would tell anyone visiting DeLand, don't miss out!

Everytime, the panang and thr pad Thai, both are palate perfection!! Dinner took over an hour to be served after we ordered and it was a Tuesday,.place was barely half full. Our service in the past has always been good.

This place never answers their phone. My last time trying to order food from this place. Pad Thai Cafe is always happy to take my order and money.

Chaotic evening! They were unexpectedly closed for a private event until 7 pm. They didn’t open until 7:30 pm and by then, they were not ready and it took a very long time to get our food. It ruined the evening as some members of our party decided to leave, after being exhausted from the wait at the door and chaos inside. The food was good once we got it but I do no recommend based on the service we got that evening.

Very good! Who knew there are so many way to enjoy Thai and Sushi. Try the sweet potato roll. The menu was full of options for a varied group, including vegetarian and GF. The food was authentic, colorful and fresh with a friendly, outgoing staff.

We ordered some sushi and some main courses, in sushi we ordered rainbow sushi, lobster, and DeLand. DeLand and rainbow was really good and the fish tasted fresh but lobster one had too much imitation crab and mayo on top of sushi def not worth $18. Sushi not pictured because we were too hungry to remember to take pics of!
In main course we had the basil and pagnang curry, both came with rice! Highly recommended!

We came here for lunch on a friend’s recommendation. We were not disappointed! We shared crispy vegetarian spring rolls. I had miso soup and my wife had onion soup. Miso was very good. I’d never tried onion soup before and it was amazing. The Sushi Deluxe was amazing. It’s really big and beautiful. Best California roll I’ve ever had wrapped in avocado slices! Delicious Spicy Tuna Roll and 5 large pieces of Nigiri (Tuna,Salmon,Yellow Tail,Escalor,Snapper). Wife throughly enjoyed drunken noodle. We will be back!

Unfortunately, I will never order take out from this restaurant again. If you plan on asking for anything extra such as limes or adding anything to your order like mushrooms please don't expect your order to be correct. This is the third time my order has been incorrect for take out. The food is not the best but it is the closest to my house which is why I thought maybe third time's a charm? Wrong.

Food was delicious and there were some unique choices that made it better, not your typical, same old same old Thai and sushi restaurant. Will definitely be returning when I'm in the area again.
