Thai dishes, sushi & sashimi served amid teak tables, carved-wood decor & a convivial bar scene.
I did a takeout of drunken noodles and sushi roll. Yuck. The half the noodles were stuck together with no flavor/sauce seeped in so it was just white sticky rice noodle mess with very small amount of vegetable (mainly just onion). I had tofu for protein and another yuck. The spicy California roll was just a regular supermarket quality roll with glob of watery spicy mayo. Previously fried and then just heated - texture was hard and chewy and again no flavor. I guess I should've known when the food came out in exactly 5 minutes after I placed my order that the food was going to be not so good. Don't bother with this overpriced place. There are so many fine restaurants surrounding this one.
This is exactly what you want out of a Thai spot! We had drunken noodles with beef which was great. For appetizer, we had papaya salad with shrimp. I have had probably 50 different papaya salads and this might have been the best dressing I’ve had. We also had tuna tataki and mango sticky rice which were wonderful also! Recommend!
This gem of a Thai/ Sushi restaurant was an unexpected find but I'm so incredibly grateful I stumbled upon it when walking this evening in the Navy Yard area. The staff were all friendly and constantly ensuring I was doing alright or had everything I needed. The Panang Curry was absolutely devine! Perfect level of heat, bold flavor, and delicious melding of each element. The portion was generous as well.
Only negative/ drawbacks would be not allowing separate checks...because business travels make that necessary when my coworkers and I dine together. Also no refills on sodas/ most of the drinks options...but that's a solvable problem, though or not the end of the world. Lol
The food is rather average. I just spring roll appetizer. They had no flavor really, fried crispy but couldn't taste what was inside them. Chicken fried rice was alright but unremarkable. For 13.95 the dinner portion was small, much smaller than any Asian restaurant I've been to and I've been to plenty. Generally portion sizes at Asian restaurants are big enough to share, this was not. The server was decent. The decor is best thing about the place. I doubt I will ever return.
I just ordered the small Tom Yum Goong (shrimp lemongrass soup) and an order of spring rolls. I've gotten the soup several times before and normally it's really good. I got it today because I had a cold and thought it would help. However the soup was extremely salty and could not finish it. I started to get a large and I'm so glad I didn't.
Fantastic! Great Thai food in The Yards. The restaurant is clean and has great atmosphere. The food is so flavorful and the portions are good for the price. We ordered the spring rolls and chicken satay as appetizers and Pad Thai and Cashew Chicken entrées. They also offer take-out.
Drunken noodles are the best
Kruba DC (Navy Yard) is incredible in EVERYTHING THEY DO! First and foremost some of the most incredible fish selections and quality (I wonder if they get their fish locally or from Japan like some of the high end omakase restaurants in DC!) we’ve had at a non $$$$$ level. Their Thai dishes were spectacular and the best we’ve had in a very long time (coming from a family who relocated from HI). Everything we ordered was a HIT: fried calamari, crab Rangoon, tuna TaTaki, Edamame, Penang chicken, drunken noodles beef, pad see ew shrimp and Nigiri (tuna, white tuna, yellowtail, fatty yellow tail, salmon (all compete with high end or island quality fish!) ). I seriously cannot recommend this place MORE and my entire family waits our next visit! Last but not least it was a very comfy and cute spot with incredible and fast service!
No lunch menu is crazy.

SPRING ROLES ARE A MUSTTTTTTTT! I am a very picky eater and I at first was nervous of the spring roles but first bite in I was in heaven! And they were not expensive at all! I loved the spring roles so much!
Beware of ordering via Uber from the Kruba scamsters!!! Ordered on Uber at 7:30pm, paid $50, and waited... and waited and waited. At 9pm, I received a notification that Kruba couldn't fulfill my order. No refund was issued. And the Kruba order didn't even appear in my Uber history! Don't trust Kruba to honor your online order!!! ...or your bankcard!

I used to love coming here, but the last time I visited I wanted to eat outside (it was a lovely summer day around dinner time), but they wouldn't accommodate me, even though all of the seats on the patio were available. I'm not sure why they would prefer to turn someone away rather than just let them sit outside, but I ended up visiting one of the many other restaurants in the area that would accommodate me.
Great place for lunch glad it wasn’t loud!

Good food, but service isn’t great. They won’t let you sit outside despite having outdoor seating, and they closed at 9pm on Sunday when their website said 9:30. The place is never busy and seems like they don’t want to work/do the bare minimum.
Great location. Staff was attentive and our drinks were well made. The toasted Salmon Roll was 🔥
went with no expectations for late lunch on Saturday. Got the drunken noodles which were excellent and a solid hand roll. Food far exceeded expectations, would highly recommend this place!
This restaurant is so good 😊 the food is really good also service is so good come here if you want a decent meal! 😎
I grew up with a Thai aunt but my husband is NOT familiar with the food so he basically let me run the show. I've been craving Larb for SO LONG and this place had it! We also got Tom Kha soup and street noodles along with some Thai beers which reminded me of lighter pub beers in England which was a nice blast from the past
Wonderful place right next to my house. I can't believe it took me so long to come here! Great food (what a delicious panang tofu curry!), fast and very friendly service, and decent price!
This place is good and gets the job done, red curry spot on..... Much better then Kaliwa at the Wharf
Really great Thai food. Service is always top notch. Tom Yum soup is some of the best I have ever had. Pad Thai, curries, sizzling beef and other sizzling dishes also very good. A must stop for lunch or dinner when I visit DC.
Delicious food.
Great sized entrees, awesome service, and the food was super good!

Nice food
Good service
I had the roasted salmon roll for take out and it was delicious! Big fresh hearty roll with lots of flavor, will definitely get it again
Amazing place, amazing food and amazing Julia ❤️🇺🇸 love this place ❤️❤️
Food is hit or miss . I've been here a few times and about half the time I feel like I wasted my money . The flavor is disappointing .
Great service and good food, we tried their dragón sushi rolls.
Always reliable. This is my go to Thai restaurant.
I'm not coming back here. Food was okay. But I feel the staff took advantage of my group. They don't split checks for large groups. That's their perogative. We had a group of 6 or 7. But when we tried to pay. I was one of a few who paid their half in cash, and we all overpaid to cover the forced compensatory tip, only to discover the last person to pay in our group was forced to pay for the entire tip for the group. They did not deduct the over payments from the overall tip. Had that been established before we paid, we would have given money to the last person instead of overpaying. Though the last person graciously paid, everyone was shocked how that all went down. NEVER AGAIN!
Terrible food and very rude staff !
I’ve been so sick since last night. I had seafood, crab fried rice I also requested to add scallops to it. I suspected the fish was not fresh and for sure it was sitting in the fridge for a while because the restaurant was EMPTY! I ate anyways since I was hungry and craving it. As soon as I left, my stomach started acting weird, later I started throwing up, feeling dizzy and pain. I couldn’t bare the pain after several hours, in hope I’ll be feeling better. I decided to go the ER, after a blood work and stool test, turned out I had Scombroid poisoning! Thank you Scruba for making me sick.
Disgusting food and poor service ! Rude staff, when u complain about something they will fuss and take it personal. Our server and at the same time host lady, I complained about how my food was cold and absolutely tasteless, they refused to change it while I didn’t eat. Two bites before I let them know how bad it is. They didn’t offer something else, nor apologized and cherry on top they refused to refund me my money. She said she can’t do anything and if I wanted my money back I had to wait for the manager who was not even there. It is illegal for a business to operate without a manager holding « food handling license »
Please take ur business else where !
I only been here for sushi. They have good beer that’s the cheapest price you’ll find in that neighborhood. They have the usual sushi items you’ll find at most places but there wasn’t enough vinegar in the sushi rice which I think is very important. I’m gonna be critically honest but I think the sushi I ordered wasn’t that fresh. Other than that, it’s also a Thai restaurant. I think it should drop the sushi items and focus on Thai and southeast Asian cuisine.
Definitely the spot in navy yard to get quick and good Thai. They also serve sushi and are super quick if you dine in or take out. Also the spicy is there but they don't kill you unless you ask. I would say this is a go to lunch spot for people working at the navy yard or dinner take out for the residents of navy yard.
good lunchtime thai and sushi options
Food was great! The service was excellent. This place is really well decorated inside and feels very pleasant. Also very unique.
I was extremely disappointed. Let's start with atmosphere cobwebs everywhere. Windows look like they haven't been done in over six months. Arrived 14:25 was told last call for anything is 14:30. Mide you I have my two small kids with me. Bar did not have a few things for there special drinks. Ordered sushi that they do not substitute (NEVER HEARS THAT BEFORE). Phai Thai and drink noodles did not come out together nor did the sushi so everyone is eating at different times. Never was asked did we need or want anything else. This is MLK day restaurant closing at 3 was crazy. Again sadly disappointed in service food and cleanliness.
I think it’s difficult to find a good place where we can find delicious food and good prices. This restaurant is the best! The waitress was very nice too!
Ordered Pad Thai for delivery. Food was ok at best for the price. Sucks, we need a good sushi and thai place in this area. Hope this restaurant figures it out.
Everyone was so nice. The food was amazing and the service was top-tier. Would come back any day of the week. Don’t have enough good things to see about this place l!
Don’t do it. Sushi didn’t seem fresh. Far better Thai and sushi restaurants in DC with better customer service.
Best Thai in Navy Yard.
The food here has been decent. Unfortunately, last time we were here, there were mice running through the dining room and bar area. Gross!!!
A group of us were taking a boat ride from Navy Yard so, we wanted to have dinner first. After a quick vote we landed on Thai food. We were a group of six. We were greeted and sat immediately about 5ish on a Friday night without a reservation.
Once seated our server was NOT friendly at all. I mean short and rude. I'm unsure why she was so rude since the restaurant just opened at 4:30. The menu was reasonably priced and there is quite a variety to choose from as well as sushi. I do think that it's a little unreasonable to charge an additional $4 to add broccoli to any dish😲 broccoli is just a vegetable and pretty cheap to come by. The food overall was delicious and very flavorful and they understood spice levels well.
We didn't order any drinks so I can't give my opinion on those. Of course the gratuity was included in the check since we were a party of six, but our server definitely didn't even deserve that. Overall I might order to go because the food is good, but I definitely would not sit in. We should have went to the Mexican restaurant 🤷🏽♀️
Great menu variety, sushi, and variety of spice heat levels. Nice ambience inside, and quick service for take out. One of my favorite neighborhood comfort meals!
We’ve gotten takeout here a few times and it is always bland, and spiceless, nothing special. I so badly wish there was a good Thai food spot in navy yard but do yourself a favor and order from one of the many better places on the Hill.
2:45 pm on Wed, closed. Hmmmm?
Very good food, really nice location. My spouse's favorite Thai place.
Drunken noodles are very good. Great spice
I come here all the time and expect good food
Excellent service and amazing food. Had the chicken Pad Thai. Full of flavour. Would highly recommend.
Delicious food and beautiful decor. Not the most attentive service, not busy, but it could be like other restaurants that are short staffed?? Would definitely go again though!
Excellent pad thai and large nur (with chicken, not beef).
Solid Thai food. Nothing too fancy. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Their mango curry is the best - highly recommend ordering
Food & service were great but they stated they can not split checks. We had a total of 4 people and only wanted to pay for myself and my fiancé. The server informed us we can present two cards and still pay for our own check but they can not split the check. Seemed rather complicated but I guess it boiled down to their system not allowing them to split checks.
Delicious. I had the red curry and a lychee martini. Waitstaff was very solicitous and helpful.
Vegetarian sushi was very underwhelming. I bought the mixed veggie roll and the oskinko roll and both lacked flavor. Disappointing for $15. Definitely better options for vegetarians out there.
My curry was great - nice and spicy but not stupid-hot. My wife's noodle dish was a bit bland. Ambiance is a bit lame - not much character. The few staff seemed very busy despite the few customers though food was very quick. Poor beer selection was main reason for only giving 4 stars. I'll go back for the curry.
My crab fried rice was EXCELLENT!!
Tasty and spicy (upon request) curry.
Great local Thai spot in Navy Yard. Great staff and delicious food! Great service for dine-in and take out.
The food is okay, I used to go here, but their front of house is rude and yelled at me. I’m not getting yelled at for sub par food. Go to the Thai or sushi place on 8th street a few blocks away. Sanphan Thai on Penn and 7th is way better and they don’t yell at me when I try to place a to go order on the phone. Management it would be great if the person answering your phone didn’t yell at customers when they try and explain that they would like to place a to go order over the phone because your online ordering system is down.
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The mango curry Chicken was excellent. Curry puffs are good too. We will be back.
Great selection of sake
Food to salty and I am not understand why this Thai restaurant do not have all the spicy sauces like every Thai place I been. The food do not even come with cucumber. This is not a Thai restaurant to me. As, a business owner this restaurant needs improvement.
I had a great experience. We were a large group and had no reservation. We waited and received accomodations necessary by the staff. It was worth the wait. The staff was professional and polite. Attending to a group of 11 people is not easy but they were on top of everything. From CT to Washington DC, I would definitely go back when we are around there.
The variety in the different types of dishes was absolutely wonderful. It was great to eat some good Thai food.
Excellent good and beautiful interior
Very bad.
I love walking
I enjoyed the shrimp fried rice. I had to come back and try the sushi. Prices are reasonable and there is a lunch special that offers a few great items. Not far from the water. You can dine in doors or enjoy people watching outside.
We heard from a friend in the neighborhood how good this restaurant was - we were not disappointed! My husband got pad Thai and I got sushi - all of it was very good. The service was also very good - our waiter was attentive. We will definitely be back!
The food was really good and the service there was really nice! Even if the service was slow it would be totally worth it!!
Delicious sushi.
Sushi was good. Hibachi portions are a little small but not bad for the price.
Food was mediocre, sushi was probably the worst I've ever had, they didn't let our party of 5 split the checks even though there was almost no one in the restaurant, and then they added a 20% service charge without noting it clearly so we ended up tipping additional on top of that charge. Beware.
Food was fine, but so overpriced for what you got. Service was bad, shocking considering we were the only table there. Beware - they already included the service charge on the bill, unfortunately we didn’t notice.
Food was mediocre, service was also mediocre. They included a 20% service charge without making it clear that they were doing so and they wouldn't split the bill for us even though we were the only people in the restaurant.
Date night with my husband. The art was so cool, the music great and not too loud...easy for conversation.
Everything was clean and the wait staff was really professional while still being fun.
Best part the food. So good, great flavors with fresh veggies.
Loved it my new favorite place.
Food is fair, would benefit from additional seasonings. Great location.
Staff are always kind and efficient. The food is also fresh and high-quality.
Walked in and was immediately met with attitude from the hostess. If you plan on coming an hour before close forget about it. Apparently, your money is not welcome here. The hostility was unwarranted, seeing as we looked up the place and the hours on Google showed us that they closed at 10 but their actual hours are till 8pm. I haven't tasted the food yet but I'm utterly disgusted by my experience so far.
The people at this restaurant are HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL! I will NEVER eat here. TERRIBLE SERVICE.
I called twice and the person hung up on me. When I came into the restaurant to speak to management, the lady that I spoke with walked off while I was trying to speak to her.
Just complete and utter disrespect and disregard towards a customer.
Waiter seem confused or timid? There were only 3 ppl in the place- they were in my party at my table. I had to ask more than once for the same thing. NP😳 2.5 stars maybe.
Great time
Very lousy Sushi and hospitality...I wouldn't go there a second time!!!
The food is good, the customer service is bad. Outdoor seating you don't get any service. You have to get your food to go and take it outside and seat yourself. Also have to get your own drinks frombthe bar. Did I say no service? It's pretty much a carry out now.
Food was great, service was a bit rude, overall nice
Decent drunk Noodles. This place has spicy dishes. You have been warned.
Solid thai food, enjoyed the pad thai and green curry.
Great Thai/Sushi spot in Navy Yard! I ordered the Drunken Noodles and they were incredible. The noodles were super wide rice noodles and the texture was spot on. I ordered it Thai hot and they did not disappoint. Definitely recommend!
Best place in Navy Yard for Thai and Sushi. Would highly recommend to anyone.
This place is great for take out.
Sushi is good, nothing too creative or out of the ordinary... but the flavors are good.
My wife and I both get the soups which are both delicious. She gets the Vegi Tom Yum and I get the Tom Kha Gai. Both very tasty and filling.
The staff is okay, nothing wowing. Basically the only interaction is to order, pay and get the food so nothing to report.
Horrible service. They could care less about my business. I suggest you not waste your time on people who do not value your money.
Dr. Burke
Very accommodating. Food was delicious!
Amazing sushi. Great jasmine tea!
My new go-to sushi place, absolutely no complaints! Was ready for takeout pretty quick too considering I ordered four special rolls and fried rice, definitely recommend!
Great sushi and soups!
This place was highly recommended and did not disappoint. From FL. will visit again when in the area. Difficult to find as the address brings you to an apt. bldg. They are behind this bldg on the opposite end of the street. Go figure!
Good food, but a little slow service. Expected during the pandemic
5 stars for always consistently having perfectly fresh sushi. This is one of my top sushi place to eat in or late night order out. I've been eating here for about 2 years now and have not had a bad tasting sushi...and my standers are pretty high.
Never been in person (can’t wait for the future when we can sit at the bar) but their sushi platters are amazing and their Thai noodles are great, as well! Best sushi in Navy Yard. Delivery is always quick and well packaged. Five stars!
Great food, great service! Kruba always delivers good value and good quality food for the price. We particularly like the spicy tuna roll and a variety of other sushi offerings. The pad Thai is always a winner as well! Typically we use take-out and the food is always on time, even with COVID protocol. Great work Kruba team!
Without a doubt the worst quality food I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant in DC, especially for the price. I ordered the Gra Prao Kai Grop, and it was exactly the same as the General Tso’s chicken from Trader Joe’s frozen food section. It was the same syrupy, dark brown sauce and the same popcorn chicken pieces.
If you want Asian food in Navy Yard, go to Hatoba. I will never be ordering from or going to Kruba again. Absolute waste of money.
Really bad experience! We ordered Pad Thai with seafood and the seafood was in bad conditions and smelling like if it were out of the fridge for days. The waiters were also rude from the beginning. They didn't feel sorry about serving an unhealthy meal and they didn't offer any compensation... We are definitely not coming back and we don't recommend it!
One of the better Thai restaurants in DC. The food has a great flavor and has a consistent taste during each visit, something other Thai restaurants struggle with. I have only had the sushi once and it was fine, but the Thai portion of the menu is far better.
They have a service charge of 5 dls per person, and your personal is very rude.
Sushi left a lot to be desired. The party I was with had pad thai and enjoyed it. The rating is based off of the customer service. I went here during covid - so I try to be pretty patient - but service was absolutely horrible.
horrible service
Food is good and the wait staff is fast
Nice Happy Hour
Whats ok!
Great Thai food!
The worst Uber eats experience of my life. I spent $75 and got nothing. The restaurant gave the driver the wrong order and refused to admit fault or remake the food. I was screamed at on the phone by both the manager and the hostess that the delivery driver was wrong. People ordering delivery BEWARE!!
This place is decent. No specific complaints. Is convenient and I never regret going here. But I wouldnt go out of my way to eat here. The food is decent, not great. And the prices are a little high for what you get.
We didn’t have a great experience with Kruba. The service wasn’t so nice. The food was good though.
Food was excellent. Had pad Thai and sushi. Waiter couldn't explain menu very well, and they had a fruit fly problem. But worth it for food
We absolutely loved our meal, the atmosphere, and our meal. Every dish was absolutely delicious! We took leftovers home just so we could enjoy it again the next day. A very nice and cozy resturaunt with spacious booths.
We ordered tea, soup, and entrees here. Service was friendly and food came out warm and was timely. Everything tasted fantastic. Everything tasted freshly made and was full of flavor. The server asked how hot I'd like my food. I asked for "hot." It was above what I think of as mild, but not to "kill me hot" level.
The food just isn't good here anymore. The last three times I've ordered the food has been subpar. I ordered Seafood Drunken Noodles and the dish only came with Shrimp that were over cooked. The last time I ordered Pad Thai it lacked flavor and it just wasn't good as it was before. Don't waste your money here there are so many other options in the Navy Yard.
Excellent food
Lunch special a good deal.
Great pad thai and great service in a beautiful restaurant
