Saap Lao Thai Cuisine & Bar inspires their customers by promising an authentic Thai and Lao dining experience, which is enjoyable, delicious, and represents the best quality of service.
The place is clean and open, nice place for a meal. The waitress was friendly and nice. She was attentive to her tables. We ordered the Satay Chicken as appetizers. Chicken was tender, not fry ar all. The Satay sauce was more sweet and sour than satay though. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef. The dish doesn't look too appealing but it tasted good. The noodles were too soft so they were too broken up and the beef were killed three times over. My wife ordered the Pumpkin red curry with grilled chicken. The curry was good but the chicken was a little dry but still not bad at all. Portion was big and price was reasonable. I'd recommend it.
Service: Nicole was a lovely server. Very nice, sweet. and helpful.
Food: The presentation was beautiful. The taste- mid. The panang curry was VERY sweet, enough so that it overpowered the aroma of the ingredients and spices in it. In general, everything leaned on the sweeter side. On top of that, the kitchen was slow, even while the floor was empty.
Normally I like to go for restaurants with poor service and good food! This was the opposite though.
For Now I’m only giving a 4 star based on the food I tried and I look forward to go back to see if that rating will change. I tried the honey 🍯 Roasted ducks and it was good and just a bit too sweet. The Thai spicy fried rice I got with the duck was a bit sweet and very different from the regular Thai Spicy fried rice. I also Tried their calamari and it was good just that the tempura batter made it super breaded and there’s no variety as to getting the squid and some veggies to make it interesting, it’s very monotone and you can get tired eating the same flavor over and over. Their crispy wings with spicy 🌶sauce is not so very spicy and also the wings are tempura and does are not that flavorful unless you eat it with the sauce. I ordered the Thai Spicy fried rice with heat level 5 and that was really good and by far the best I’ve tasted so far, and was very interesting that it had some calamari as part of the sea food combo. In my next visit I look forward to try the soups and look forward to share my experience with you. And I did curb side order they almost forgot I was there if I did not call a second time. This review is just to share my experience so your experience may be different than mine because of your taste buds however I’m just sharing mine. I do look forward to go back to check out other items in their menu until I find what I like. Ohh 😯 I almost forgot the mango 🥭 sticky rice 🍚 is pretty good just a bit too sweet again but if you enjoy sweet dessert it’s definitely for you.
I can’t say enough good things about the food at Saap. This place has only been open two weeks and I’ve been twice already. As a family these are some of the things we have tried so far. Chef Lisa’s Famous drunken noodles have been my favorite thing thus far! If you like a nice spice then I definitely recommend. I want to try other things next so I’m going to have to force myself not to order it again. Despite what was mentioned, the old restaurant was not this good. Give this new restaurant a chance before bashing it, there are not enough southeast Asian places in the area so I’m hoping Saap is here to stay! If you have a sweet tooth definitely try the fried banana rolls with ice cream!
Update: We can not get enough of this place. Second visit and the food is still out of this world. They are also Vegetarian friendly.
The waitress Lynn was kind, friendly and patient. Super sweet person. My hat goes off to Chef Lisa. 3/9/2022
Hands-down one of the best Thai restaurants my family and I have been to—friendly staff and outstanding food. The chief uses fresh herbs and chilis, which enhances the flavors of the food. We will most definitely be back.
All the food here is made fresh to order. Just try anything. You can taste the love! We enjoy the pad cashew Nut with salmon heat leave 1.
Our waitress, Nicole, was the best server I've ever had! Definitely coming back! She was also very attentive to our friend who had never been here before.
WORST DIARRHEA an hour after eating. Food was ok but must have had something very dirty to make us so sick so quick. First meal of the day so couldn’t have been anything else and we eat Thai / spicy all the time so it’s not like we cannot handle the food. Small details show this place doesn’t care. The chili containers are so dirty you don’t want to touch them and they leave long rotting flowers in the window sill. Should have been signs to leave right away.
EXCELLENT BEEF DRUNKEN NOODLE. I have had this dish at many places and have been disappointed a lot, but Lisa's Signature BDN was Fantastic!! Highly Recommmed. Level 5 spice could've been a smidge hotter, but excellent nonetheless!
The veggie fried rice is delicious and they give you a great portion size for the price!
The pad see ew is amazing!!!!!! and Miss. Nicole is a ray of sunshine! I’ve been to Saap Lao a couple times and just recently had her as a server and she makes me want to come back whenever she’s working! lol she’s a beautiful person and the food’s great. wonderful combo
Shout out to Ms. Nicole for her sweet personality and excellent customer service. Food and dining was great.
Incredible food and the server, Nicole, was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Can't wait to come back. :)
Great food and yummy Thai tea!
Great food! Outstanding service by Nicole.
Their bowls 🥣 😍

Normally I like to go for restaurants with poor service and good food! This was the opposite though.
This place has completely gone downhill. Avoid at all costs. We used to order from here for delivery or eat in the restaurant at least 2 or 3 times a month for years. About a month ago they gave my seamless delivery order to the wrong person, then I went to pick it up since they clearly have a problem with their delivery communication and they tried to charge me for it again! No apologies. Food is nowhere near as good as it used to be, quality has gone from excellent to just plain bad. Tried to give them one more shot yesterday and eat there in person. Literally one other table sat in the restaurant, but it still took too long for even drinks to be offered. Menu listed lunch specials, no days of the week restrictions listed on the menu. I attempted to order one and was rudely told it was not available on weekends. That’s fine, but don’t let me sit and decide for a long time what I want to order and the tell me it’s not available, when it’s clearly not listed as such on the menu. AND after she tells us the lunch specials are not available, while we are trying to redecide what to order, the phone rings and she literally walks away from us to answer the phone. We walked out after that. Bad service!!!
My husband and I wanted some THAI food: Panang Curry, to be exact, on our way back from NYC yesterday. So we stopped by this restaurant.
The place was empty, gloomy, old - like hmmm; hard to explain wo being a turn off [I typicallyget turned off w establishments univiting entrances] , cold [extremely tiny space heater was running] , and could use some esthetically upgrades.
Pros: The panang Curry was delicious... next time, I will definitely say wo or grind/chop finer w the 🥜. The level (1) one spice was JUST enough for my palette and will rebalanced the gut biomes for sure.
There are a few items: pineapple fried rice, a red curry dish, and the mango guava cheesecake, just to name a few. Oh, I would definitely try next time!
Cons: they were very expensive for our carryout order. Over $70.
The 🍤 shrimp wontons were fried a little too long/smelled burnt, and the color was NOT what I expected. They could ALSO use some green onions and / or ADD some cream cheese (like a crab ragoon dish) for a more desirable taste. Honestly, they were just blah.
The staff was very kind and appreciated our patience with having to tell them our order multiple times. Im guessing that they have a new pos system, and they were getting acquainted with the screen options, etc.
In addition, I love seeing when businesses display a small ACT of kindness and generosity to the less fortunate. Without saying too much about what I observed, let's just say WE would hope that guy was honest about his humbled [reasons] ... they gave an older gentleman who didn't have the means a FREE meal. That sold me immediately...
We DO still have caring souls here in today's society. It put a smile on me ❤️ when I saw and overheard the interaction. 😊
I will certainly go back when that THAI food wants resurfaces in my near future. 😋
Went there on their least busy night and did not get all that I ordered.
Amazing drunken noodles, service was the best with Nicole!
The food was amazing, I highly recommend the drunken noodles. We had Nicole as our server and she took great care of us. There was a bit of the wait for food, however she made it clear the second we walked in and was constantly checking in on us. She was so sweet as well as one of the other servers who helped us out after spilling water. The staff was so polite and the food was amazing! I will definitely be back.
Nice place calming atmosphere
Nice tau place. All the meals I've tried haven't disappointed us yet. The rice here is so good. Service can be slow but there only a few people working.
Authentic
Always a good experience at this place. The best Thai food in Newark bear area.
Really surprisingly good. A little gem in a strip mall with solid Thai/Lap food at a reasonable price. I would say try the Papaya Salad for appetizers but stick to the home made curries for the full flavor and the interesting choices such as the Pineapple and Pumpkin curry.
Not pretentious, just a place the locals come to eat and hang out at the bar.
Delicious food, very friendly staff and reasonable pricing, would highly recommend.
Great place, good food. Great service.
I was looking for somewhere good to eat and i found this place. I'm always ready for some good Thai food. I've tried Thai food in different cities. Some were good. Some, not so much.
This place is in a strip mall that looks deserted. Don't let that stop you. I was seated immediately. The place was not busy on a Monday night. The young lady that greeted me at the door was really nice. I asked her for recommendations. And she was very helpful.
I ordered some spicy soup. Spicy level 3. (Level 1-5). I then ordered the spicy Thai rice with chicken. Also level 3. The soup came out and it looked good. Nice color. Smelled good. First sip, boy, it was hot and spicy. I guess that's why they call it spicy soup.
I got the order of rice. It also looked good. I started eating, and it was better than expected. Really good flavor. It was a lot of food. Enough for two, easy. I put a food sent into the whole meal, but I couldn't finish it all. I was here on business, so I couldn't take it with me, but I wanted to. Everything had really good flavor. I will definitely be coming back here. If you like Thai food, or if you've never had it, this is a great place to go to.
So good! We are just in town for the night. Definitely didn't expect to get good thai. If we come back, we will definitely get again.
Food was good. Lynn is an amazing server.
Fantastic food in generous portions. The server was really attentive even though we arrived only shortly before closing. It's a really laid-back atmosphere.
Today for dinner i ordered my favorite “pineapple chicken fried rice”.. it was amazing as usual definitely Will recommend anyone to try that dish here and also they have plenty of yummy options to choose. And also owner was so kind suggested me to taste spicy chilli oil for fried rice.. it was awesome 😋😋😋.will definitely visit again and again.😊
We have tried their food before, but now the food taste and quality has really gone downhill. I picked up drunken noodles with chicken today, tasted pretty bad, chicken had bad smell, hardly any vegetables in that, I had to throw away the food. I gave them one star for the service , because the lady who got my food, didn’t even wait for me to finish the transaction, while I started to sign she just left me at the counter and walked away. I will not be going back there again..
Spacious! Very good food. Service was also great with one person handling the bar & dining area.
Great meal and it pretty moderate money
This is a bar and restaurant. So don’t expect top notch service like other restaurant. Food was okay but could be better. Service and atmosphere needs improvement. Restroom was dirty and hand soap was not working. Found a dirty spoon and had to send it back for more cleaning. Entrees were being served along with the appetizers!! They need to know when to serve what…
Food: 4.0
Atmosphere: 3
Service: 3
Love this place. Happy hour is popping and food is soooo good!
Order food, the lady that took my order messed it up twice. They said 10-15 for food to be ready I arrived and she said 10 more minutes. I waited 34 mins for my food. They didn't care when I said I was picking the food for work and that they need to be honest about the time. I will also add every person that came in after that they said 10 more mins. All our orders were wrong
The thing that ticks me off the most is how the menu says “free refills” under the drinks section but apparently it’s only for two drinks in that section. They need to make it more clear that it is only for those two drinks. We got refills and they charged us even after pointing out where the “free refills” was placed to them on their menu which I was not happy about because of how misleading it is.
I appreciated that the server went to ask the manager if they could waive the fee for us for the refills and she apologized. But I’m disappointed because they said they couldn’t waive the fee when the menu is VERY misleading.
The food was delicious but there needs to be better service. Our server was sweet, but she barely checked in on us so we were waiting a long time to put our order in.
Visiting from out of state. Food was some of the best two Thai dishes I’ve had! Service was mediocre, but the food still came out hot.
This place used to be my favorite Thai place in Delaware. But a combination of shrinkflation and low quality of food has happwned.
I ordered a curry fron here post inflation. The amount of curry was decresed. The quality was also bad: the curry was too much like water and the vegetables were undercooked and there was hardly any meat present.
Ordered meals here several times and it’s a medium size restaurant with sit down dinner tables nothing fancy just simple. The restaurant itself is a bit dated and the entrance hall is very univiting and needs cleaning up a lot. The place has a bar without beer dispensers that you would normally see in a bar . It’s good for those who want to enjoy beverages . I’ve visited Thailand many times and I really enjoy authentic Thai food and you get the Thai taste in the food here which is different to Chinese . It could be even better if they stopped frying the shrimp blankets in oil that has been used too much because the oil then starts to stay on the food and it tastes bad because it’s oil that is very used . It’s horrible for your stomach too . Their chicken drunken noodles and beef drunken noodles could do with a bit less oil and and bit more than three pieces of sliced meat. You tend to end up with a big lump of noodles which has not separated totally and three pieces of chicken or beef. It was very good when we first ordered but the consistency is being lost and complacency is setting in . When this happens it’s not a very good sign and it does affect customers returning. The amount of oil in the food needs to be a bit less and oil should be changed frequently otherwise old used oil sticks to fried food and it totally ruins the meal and health. The people here are very polite ,respectful and helpful . Sincerely hope they will see my comments as constructive feedback because these are not unreasonable observations. I will definitely come back once more and hopefully the food will not be swimming in too much oil and fried food will be cooked in good oil . Thanks
Great vegan food. Great place to have an event. Great owners & employees. Great drinks. Great ambiance.
I've been coming to this place for about a year. Overall their food is pretty decent, but their customer service and professionalism could use some work.
I ordered pumpkin curry with brown rice. Their website menu reflects their brown rice to be an additional cost of $1.25. When I went in person they told me it's actually $3.50 for a pint of brown rice. I was not happy about the misleading extra cost, but nonetheless, I paid.
When I got home and opened up my brown rice, I noticed that they gave me significantly less than they usually do for their white rice. They only filled it up about midway. $3.50 for not even a full pint of brown rice is a total rip off.
I called the restaurant to let them know that they gave me very little rice and I was dissatisfied. A lady answered and told me that they weigh their brown rice on a scale, heat it up, and put it into the pint container. She informed me that I could not get a full pint of brown rice. She wasn't even nice about it. She had an attitude.
Listen... I know we're approaching a recession and food prices have increased, but to purposely ration portions of brown rice for customers is incredibly wild to me.
My advice to management is if you're going to charge nearly $4 for a pint of rice, you should make it worth it. Putting half of a pint of rice into a pint container and charging that much is wrong. AND dismissing a customer who is dissatisfied about that is even worse.
If stingy was a restaurant, it would be, "Saap Lao Thai Cuisine."
I have tried salmon and shrimp fried rice, whole fried snapper, stir fry, curries, and appetizers. All of them are delicious. I recommend this place to all my peoples!!!!!!!
I use to love this place! It is so sad how quickly it went downhill. I ordered the cashew dish with tofu and was served stale cashews, maybe 4 in the entire dish, and everything else was bland. I asked for the condiments which are usually complimentary in Thai restaurants, but they charged me for the sauce. I wouldn't mind paying if it was fresh sauce, but it came out in these plastic containers where the lids were incredibly sticky. This makes me wonder how dirty the kitchen must be. It's the little things people! If you are going to own a restaurant, clean things you are serving your customers. Also, the server wasn't friendly, seemed irritated and put off when I asked for napkins. Well, maybe the .50 x 5 you charged me for the condiments will go towards a tip cause I'm certainly not paying it. Also, this place smells like nail polish fumes from thevnail place next door. Just an all around cruddy experience and huge waste of money! Penny pincher restaurant owners never succeed...true facts.
Love Lisa and Angie! The best Thai food in Delaware
Fee from NOTO
Was just an accidental stop in to get some take out but the young lady at the counter informed me that they did not provide that option. I started to leave but went back in to sit down and eat.
The first thing on the menu was not available so she asked to make suggestions and I said ok.
There were no other dinners except for two person at the bar.
The food here is AMAZING!!! Super fresh and very delicious. The Shrimp fried rice and Pad Thai is my favorite. This place is a MUST TRY!!! I go here all the time, trust me you won’t be disappointed.
If I could give a zero rating, I would. Shrimp fried rice was nothing but rice and 5 little shrimp. And they charge for sauce. Taste like soy sauce rice. BEWARE!!
Fantastic food, flavor, service, and atmosphere. Tried this place for the first time tonight. The server, Heaven, was so friendly and welcoming. Our food came out quickly and was full of flavor. I had the panang curry the hottest they would make it and it was sweet and spicy without just tasting like chili powder. The cocktails were great too. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Tasty for where it is. Really enjoyed the takeout. Prices not aweful either.
Really good food and service, place was alright but needs better lighting and setting!!
Had lunch here 3 days in a row, trying different items. All Excellent!
Ordered take out for the first time. Never had Thai before so I don't really have anything to compare it to. I thought the food taste great I just thought the price for the amount of food was not. I ordered cashew chicken with Jasmin rice. It came out in a small round bowl the price was 14.50. it was good but not 14.50 good. I was still hungry not a lot of chicken it had lots of veggies.
The shrimp and salmon fried rice >>>>>> im definitely going to try another dish
One of my favorite places to go. Food and service are always top tier.
I asked for a beef chk and shrimp, only got 3 shrimp $300for that dame won't be going be anymore
Before I came here I never had Thai food. The food is always amazing and the service is always great. It is a family oriented place, with a amazing bar. Everyone who I know that’s come here is always happy with the food they’ve received. The owner and his family truly do try and make everyone’s experience great.
What I just witnessed was blatant ignorance or can be considered discrimination from the older gentleman. I’ve been customer since they opened and I always dealt with young man (son). It’s been awhile since I’ve been to this establishment since I moved out of town BUT today I walk in and the owner didn’t acknowledge my presence at all or take my order. Young lady came from the back and took my order. However, a lady of same decent of owner walks in and he says hi and takes her order as I’m sitting waiting for my food another woman of color and man walks in and he does the same thing he did to me. Not acknowledge or take the order. Today was last time patronizing this place . If you’re having a bad day perhaps go to the back… NEVER AGAIN will they get my money!
Not an exceptional quality of food, but not terrible either. Very decent Thai cuisine.
The Thai food here is very good. Quality ingredients, well made and nice heat. The Penang Curry was amazing and the Pad Thai was just out of this world. The spring rolls were ok, but the sauce is sweet. The service is fast and polite. Prices are just right for this quality food and service. We will definately return again and again!!
I would always get there wings but today I got them over ubereats and they was still bloody and wasn't cook fast forward my stomach hurts I'm in the bathroom
I work in the shopping center and this is by far my favorite place to grab lunch! The prices are reasonable for the portion sizes and the meals are always consistent. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Quick service. And they have a bar so its a nice place for me to sit, relax and have a drink while i'm waiting for my ride home after work. Can't say enough good things about this place! Ty and Jerry are especially awesome! And the kitchen staff are dang good at whipping up some yummy thai food!
This is my favorite place! The food is so good, the drinks are the best around, and the service and people top it all off. I definitely recommend checking this place out.
Since moving to Delaware, I have been searching for a good Thai place. This is IT! the ambiance needs a little work, perhaps less spread out? For such amazing service and food, there's an elegance and intimacy missing that this place *really* deserves. We'll be back.
Food is good but the portions for take out seem a lot smaller than when you dine in. This is disappointing because the prices are the same. Nice establishment with friendly staff.
Decent selection. Not the standard options. Loa sausage was good. Green curry also good.
The bartender makes a crazy sidecar. Food prices are kinda high and the food is just ok.
Amazing food and service! Definitely go back, the salmon cashew nut stir fry is amazing!
The few good spots around try the chicken over rice
WOW! Just tried this for the first time and am blown away. Price and flavor are perfect. Portion size was perfect too. Will be back. Drunken Noodles at a 3 spice were perfect.
Soo good my favorite Thai in Delaware
I got the fried wings they were perfectly cooked the sauce on the side was so good. The shrimp fried rice was so good I got a #2 spice level and it was so good and a nice amount of rice too. Definitely will be coming back for more food and check out the bar too very clean place also.
Drunken Noodles are outta this world!
We were staying the night in Bear DE and were looking for a good place to eat. Google reviews of Saap were complimentary so we went there. The reviews were well earned. It was the best Thai food we have had. All meals cooked to order, fresh and high quality ingredients authenticly prepared. Drunken Noodles with chicken was excellent as was pineapple fried rice. Staff was friendly and professional. Being in a roadside strip mall Saap is not pretentious but don't let that fool you: the food is outstanding. Has a full service bar.
Great place and tasty food!
I contacted the store just moments ago. I'm a first time customer. The person that answer the phone became quite rude. Because I was ordering from the menu on their website. The prices were different and the up charge wasn't the problem. The attitude of the person in the phone was the problem. Then he hangs up on me while I still wanted the order! I called back and allowed him to know I would be making this review. That's not how you treat a first time customer! I would never go there. Plus I live right across the street from them!
The best steamed dumplings EVER! Great flavor! They were so good we ate the first order in the car and went back in to order more. Also there shrimp fried rice is hands down the best we’ve ever had. Full of flavor, and amazing portions. My husband and I are very selective but this has become one of our favorite go to spot for amazing food. Lastly the staff here is just top notch, and so pleasant. It a wonderful atmosphere and I was highly recommend everyone trying this place at least once, but i know you’ll be back for more.
Been a loyal customer for years but last visit was one of the most terrible experience I have had in a restaurant. Could sworn the noodles were from the night before. It tasted stale. I have made it a point to never visit this place again.
We got the duck in red curry and the crispy duck, both were fantastic!!! The flavors and the juiciness was superb, would definitely go back!
2.7 not good for dine in. Service wasn’t good, we didn’t receive cutlery OR plates until we asked AND the plates came dirty so we had to get them changed. Ambience wasn’t great either. Food was relatively good. We ordered the chicken drunken noodles (level 5) which were pretty good. We also ordered tofu yellow curry which was okay. Maybe this place is better for takeout, but we probably won’t be coming back.
Food is good.
Nice place inside.
So irked with this place! We ordered the shrimp and salmon fried rice and the shrimp spring rolls! Meal came to $29! Definitely not worth the price and there was one piece of hard over cooked salmon in the rice and just 3 pieces of shrimp! Mind you this dish alone is $20.60! The thing is I called up there to make sure this dish was enough for 2 and worth the price! Dish looked nothing like the pictures! Do not order from this establishment!
Great food
Love this place food is great everytime
This must be a joke. Absolutely no flavor to this Pad Thai. I added shrimp and they gave me 4 for $3. Also asked for no peanuts and they still added it. Everything we ordered was flavorless. We ordered here before last summer and it was great but I guess it has gone down hill never again. Don’t waste your money.
This is my favorite spot and clean..
I use to love this place it was great when it first opened. The owner was always at the front and before the bar was put in. Over time service has decline. On 4/22 I ordered the thai shrimp fried rice and crispy shrimp in person. The staff were really busy it was only two employees working the front. Both were working the bar, serving, and running orders from kitchen it was a mess! I ended up waiting 45 minutes for my food! They never told me the wait would be that long never even apologized or updated me on when to expect my food I had to keep asking. Doordash orders were being prioritized over in person in orders, which makes no sense. Next morning I was very nauseous, queasy, and stomach cramps. I couldn’t eat anything for next 48 hours without getting sick to my stomach and had loose stools for hours.. definitely gave me food poisoning it was all I had to eat that night. Ruined my weekend would never eat here again! Bad food bad service!
The food wasn't as good as all the times we've been there in the past. Hopefully next time the food will be back to being excellent.
Absolutely Incredible! Delicious to the last bite! Seasoned and Cooked to Perfection! I ordered Lobster tail with Shrimp fried rice and it was the Best Meal I’ve had in Years! My Compliments to the Chef!
My Tastebuds and my Belly Thank You! “Saap Lao Thai is a Must Try!” You’ll Love It!
The worst most expensive Thai food I've ever eaten. $72 and we wemt to bet hungry. The broth in the soup was sour and badly flavored. Each item was half full containers and the very expensive duck dish was inedible. Maybe a review like this will make them recognize its just plain bad.
Every time I’ve visited, whether for lunch or dinner, has been great. This would include from spring rolls, dumplings, fried tofu, to any of the curries, ka prow chicken, pad see ew, and pad Thai. They have the basics covered here with reasonable prices, good service, and good food.
Good Thai food!!! Not the best presentation tho
Holy Heck, this food is to dye for. Amazing attention to detail, the inside is so nice and spacious. My bartender, Ty, was a gentleman through and through. Our server last time was a very nice lady who treated us like family. The only thing I can think of negative about this place is that they don't have a chain.... yet. But seriously, give this place a go, they won't let you down.
The food was okay. The taste and spice for rice was ok. The salmon was not good at all. I added salmon to the rice for 6 extra bucks and it was 4 tiny pieces. Overall , I don't recommend, Next time I will make my own.
I like Drunken noodles but Panang curry and Phud Thai were disappointing.
This is our family's favorite place to dine in our neighborhood. We feel like part of the family when we walk in and it's always a great experience. The food is fresh, authentic and phenomenal! Ty makes the best drinks too. Check them out for happy hour!
Tried the new Thia restaurant (under new management) Loved the food, new decor so not so dated. Nice bar. Service was hospitable. True to Thia food be careful of your spice level🌶🥵 but well seasoned outside of the spice. The portion size was good 👍🏾 Pineapple Fried rice and Shrimp in a blanket
the best thai anywhere near here.
very nice friendly work here
good food, very nice taste and custom if you need
Best Thai around! Love it here!
Can’t recommend this place enough! Every single time the food is amazing and 10/10. The staff is so nice and make sure you have a pleasant experience. Take out or dine in, can’t go wrong
Delicious food. We used to be apart of the lunch crowd that went to the former restaurant. The new owners food is delish! The inside was remolded really nice and have a friendly staff too. Definite recommended!
I really was disappointed in the spicy shrimp an scallops I got for $20. 5 shrimp and 3 scallops with veggies in a pool of grease with a little spice flavor. I was expecting something different to be honest.
Best Paad Thai around period.
And I’ve tried it all.
This is my favorite spot in New Castle County. This place is a hidden gem in a small shopping center. It looks humble, but the food is far from it. I have frequented this spot week, after week, after week. I have had noodles, rice, chicken, curry and a few things in between. My favorite is the pineapple rice with fried rice and chicken. I love the crispy egg rolls, and the Mango chicken stir fry is incredible (see pictures). I tried eating this dish Thursday, I wasn't;t even hungry but nothing was left when I finished.
OK, so I mentioned the food, what about the people??? There is a lovely hostess who greets you with a smile as soon as you open the door. She will have menus ready, and if you need it, she will help recommend something new. The gentleman behind the bar is friendly and is ready to pour you a glass of anything. On this particular day he gave me a glass of a delicious IPA from Hanalei. He is always ready for small talk about the latest football game. Then there is the owner. I've met him a few times, he is friendly and kind every time. And of course, what about the people behind the kitchen! The true heroes of this establishment. YOU ALL ARE AMAZING! Great food is the staple of any restaurant, and they never fail to produce the best dish, every time.
Every time I drive up north from Sussex County I always pull in to this Thai restaurant. The food is amazing. So, if you are hungry give them a try.
My first time here even though I've passed by on several occasions. I ordered Spicy Salmon and Shrimp with the fried rice level 5 spice. My son had the Spicy Shrimp and Scallops. While waiting for our food I had a drink at the bar. First off Ty the bartender is cool. The drink, Lao Lao Mule was amazing! Everything was amazing! Definitely will be back
Our neighbor introduced us to Saap Lao Thai Cuisine tonight and we are now big fans. We all had excellent meals and the service was great. Can’t wait to go again!
Ty. The Mixologist was friendly, helpful in knowledge of food and drinks. The Spicy Beef Salad was excellent!
Great service. Discount for military.
Good food level 3 is for me.
This place is delicious! The chicken pad thai was soo yummy!! And my husband said his chicken fried rice was delicious and tasted homemade. We both got spice level 1 but neither were spicy, we could have gotten 2s. Next time. 😁 I also got the spring rolls but they were so good I ate them before I took a picture. The sauce that came with them was freaking delicious 😋😍. The hostess was so friendly!!!! We will be back. Thank you so much! 🥰💕
drunken noodles be bangin dont got a pic... was too busy eating hahaha
The food was so good!!! The customer service was excellent. The sampler was good and the three chicken. I would definitely recommend
Delicious food - fresh, hot - and great service! Will be back.
Great meal!! Really good and their 'spicy' brings a good and tasty heat. Would've taken a picture but dove in!!
It took 50 min for an order of fried rice to go.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. I always have incredible service and the wait staff are so friendly and helpful. We go there so often the staff recognizes us immediately. 🤣
The portion sizes of the food are incredible and the flavors of everything are absolutely divine! I get the shrimp pad thai every time because it is so good!
The atmosphere is so calm and serene and it's the perfect place to eat out after a busy week. It is so affordable, too.
Very delicious but misleading on the outside
Eat here it's really good
I ordered the yellow curry chicken for lunch. I couldn’t believe how delicious it was! The chicken was so yummy and when I took a bite of the sweet juicy pineapple it was the perfect balance. I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants before and I can proudly say that this is my favorite one! I really love how friendly the workers are and how clean they keep the place. I can’t wait to go back for more!
The food and custom service were superb. We plan to return.
We got the panyang curry and the drunken noodles the food was delicious!! Both dishes they knocked it out of the park!! However if I had to rate on service it would be negative stars for me. We had to ask for everything...a second drink, napkins, silverware, boxes and our check.
I eat here nearly once a week, really great, authentic Thai food at a reasonable price. The lunch specials are bomb. The woman working the front is always so kind when you come to pick up take out. Love this spot.
Very friendly and only place that makes drunken noodles after searching everywhere. The spice level is fantastic on their meals. I love to eat here but closed on Sundays so I have to wait 😥
Great food, good service!
