Family-owned Thai outpost serving classic cuisine in a low-key space with homey decor.
This was a nice food experience. The Thai basil chicken and shrimp was a little different than I usually like it, but it was still delicious. The basil fried rice was delicious. The star of the show for me was the curry samosa appetizer stuffed with potatoes, peas, chicken and maybe some other stuff with the cucumber salsa. Delicious indeed!
Small quaint little spot, but the food was absolutely amazing! The peanut sauce & cucumber salad that came with the chicken satay appetizer were delicious. And the Thai Sweet & Sour entrée was equally delicious.
Service was quick, and my waitress was very attentive. Great price and great quality.
I've been eating here for over seven years. I didn't realize I'd never written a review. First, the chicken rice soup is so simple but so delicious. Can't replicate that flavor, I've tried. It's like comfort food. Recently got it vegetarian and it was just as yum. It's my favorite, and I highly recommend. I almost always get the same thing and don't venture out, drunken noodles, and until recently, always with chicken, always great. This last time got it with tofu. Still good, but wanted to try something different. Another customer inside had ordered red curry, so I asked their opinion and they recommended. I got it. It's a little spicy, but it is really good, so I'm a convert. Next time I'll try the big noodle soup. Spring rolls are also pretty good, but eat them while hot. Pad Thai is good, but I haven't had it in a while (over a year), but the chef/owner is very consistent. My only complaint would be that the drunken noodles have gotten quite oily over time; though still tasty. This is one of my favorite places in Dover.
We stopped in while traveling. No idea if we will pass this way again which makes me sad because the food was fantastic and the staff incredible.
I'm not well versed in Thai food but if this was a great example, I am now a lover of it. Everything we ate was delicious. Also very affordable.
The Pad Thai with glass noodles was very good. Had the Pad Thai with the regular noodles last week. That was also good. The steamed dumplings and spring rolls, I recommend as well.
My husband and I went for dinner. We felt like we weren't welcome and our server wasn't very kind. Our food was good.
Another table brought their own wine (or bought there - either way) they were so loud my husband and I couldn't hear each other.
Last year, I came here for dinner while in town on business. The restaurant was full and my meal was incredible, so I was really excited to return. Unfortunately, the food has drastically gone downhill. The empty restaurant should have been my first clue.
I got a massaman curry with duck. It contained a few tiny shreds of meat, crunchy potatoes, crunchy carrots, crunchy onions... You get the idea. It was served in a bowl and more like soup. As an added bonus, the "steamed rice" was also half raw and extra crunchy still. I ended up scraping it directly into the unfortunate curry. My blue martini included the cheapest vodka made, so cheap that I had a headache before I finished it. The best thing that could be said about my dinner was that I didn't get sick.
My server was nice, but definitely more invested in doing her homework at the counter. A woman in the kitchen (possibly her mother) seemed to be having a bad day and spent fully half of my visit yelling, before eventually coming out to take decorations from shelves to dust, I guess.
During my dinner, I saw one carryout order total. And when I was getting ready to leave, a college age couple came in and it appeared to be their first (and probably last) visit.
I don't know if there is new ownership or if there were cost cutting measures in place, but the issues should probably be rectified before the owners end up closing their doors. I know that I won't be returning.
Best yellow curry in Dover!

I ordered pineapple rice. It was plain dry. I might as well went to a regular Chinese restaurant.. Will not be back, not worth the money

I absolutely love this place! I visit every time I am in Dover.
They should know how to take order. Ordered egg fried rice with extra egg for which they charged but no egg in rice. Requested to make thai hot but messed up with making sweet.
Really good food and friendly service
I love the food here, great place.
I wanted to love this place so bad. Food was just ok. Prices are outrageous for the amount of food you get. We spent over $100 for part filled containers of mediocre food. Unfortunately we won’t be ordering again.
My husband and I went for dinner. We felt like we weren't welcome and our server wasn't very kind. Our food was good.
Another table brought their own wine (or bought there - either way) they were so loud my husband and I couldn't hear each other.
Nicole is a great server. The food is good.
Unique food good prices
Great food, spicy and good service.
I got the steamed dumplings they were pretty good but the chicken pad Thai was dry and seemed like it had a weird tomato paste sauce definitely never seen that before in my experiences of ordering pad Thai from other places
Honestly, this is my favorite place to get takeout in Dover. The food is so good and reasonably priced.
Absolutely loved their food. I had the Thai Basil with chicken spicy, Pad Thai with chicken, and their Spring Rolls. The food was hot and delicious. I’ve ordered over the phone and in person both times the customer service was excellent. My first time I would have eaten in, but they were packed and that’s a great sign to me. Love Love Love!!!
So very disappointed. Ordered Thai basil dish, #1 on the entree menu. *Two* leaves of basil in the whole dish. There should be dozens. No basil taste in the dish, except for those 2 …. tiny… leaves …. should be basil in every bite. Like a blueberry muffin with 2 blueberries…
Love this place. Food never disappoints.
This was our first time having Thai food. The owner came out to us and went over the menu and explained how to order. Service was great. Food was delicious. Definitely will be going back!
Favorite Thai place in Dover. Food and service has always been great.
Delicious food. Super friendly staff. The mango sticky rice is my all time favorite!
The food was meh..Thought I would've received a nicer portion for $16.95. It was just ok. Nothing to brag about. Maybe it was the meal I ordered. I probably won't be back. Service was good. Staff was good. I just expected better.

The mango fried rice with shrimp is excellent, the fried chicken is perfect, I just can not get enough.
I am very much in love with this place. The food is excellent, the service is always super fast and friendly, and the lady who runs the place is an absolute sweetheart. Duck is one of my favorite foods, and the duck and pineapple curry never fails to be incredible.
I went to the Bangkok in Chester, VA and fell in love. I thought this location would be the same. Unfortunately I was very disappointed.
Great stop while traveling! Fresh, tasty and great service. Best won ton soup! Reasonably priced.
We stopped in while traveling. No idea if we will pass this way again which makes me sad because the food was fantastic and the staff incredible.
I'm not well versed in Thai food but if this was a great example, I am now a lover of it. Everything we ate was delicious. Also very affordable.
I loved the food because of the flavours .
I would not recommend mango sticky rice as it’s not up to the mark ..
Other than that everything else was perfectly fine
Absolutely delicious food every time we go. Authentic Thai cuisine at its best. Highly recommend
Great place we happened upon. Good food the lady seemed to be running the whole show and was very pleasant. Just FYI not a huge place so I wouldn't go with a large party.
The squid salad was like rubber and the fish was salty.
The owner of this restaurant was extremely disrespectful to me. This is my first time ordering from this restaurant. I placed an order for several items and when I informed her one of the items (Thai tea) was too sweet, she stated she doesn’t give refunds. I only asked for a refund for the Thai tea and she aggressively charged towards me and starting yelling in front of the entire restaurant. I was not disrespectful and kept quiet while she embarrassed herself in front of the restaurant. She got upset that I informed her I would dispute it with my bank. The owner decided to take the bag of food and stated “I’m not welcome in her establishment” She then gave me a refund. I would never go back to this place of business. I am a very respectful military woman and have never been disrespected to this degree. Terrible business!
I would not recommended going to this restaurant. I contacted the police because of how threatening she was towards me. As a small business I understand you can’t refund every customer. But the owner made a complete fool of herself in front of the restaurant. I’m not sure why she thought it was okay to yell at me in that capacity. Provoking customers in such capacity can cause incidents. However, I would not return because there is no respect for her customers. Imagine if i said i didn’t like the food. The Thai tea was only $4. I didn’t ask for a refund for the entire meal. In this type of business you also have to understand the consequences of treating customers. However, if you’re looking for great customer service, I would not recommend the establishment! The food was probably not tasty as well but I wouldn’t know since she decided to aggressively remove the food from near me. As a military member who has traveled all over the country- I think the business is very subpar and not ran well!
3 flavor sauce is the secret of this place.
Loved it! Delicious vegan choices. Excellent service.
Paid for $2.00 for seafood in my red curry and I received exactly 3 shrimp and 1 mussel.. what a waste.
The portion was another disappointment to me because I paid nearly $10 for a dish that hardly was enough food for me.
The flavors are good.
My food was pretty good. There was only one thing I was surprised by, the meal came with broccoli and carrots and I only got 3 pieces of broccoli and and a small portion of carrots . Since I ordered a vegan meal I thought there would have been more vegetables.
I can't say enough good things about this place! Amazing menu, great staff, quick and efficient service, which all leads to wonderfully tasteful food!!
One of the best restaurants in Dover. Lunch spot for meetings with a great rotating selection. If you have a hankering for Thai this will satisfy.
This is a pretty good restaurant! I got the Thai ice tea, red curry which was great with rice, drunken noodles, and mango sticky rice dessert!! It was all good sorry about the lack of photos
Worst Thai I’ve ever had.
Spring rolls were dry and mostly cabbage.
Drunken noodle, basil fried rice, and basil glass noodles all had a reddish sauce. Did not taste good at all and definitely not like traditional Thai.
Ginger tofu and sweet sour chicken entrees were good, but rice was dry and not fresh.
Great little place to grab some Thai! Try their Thai iced tea!!
Ordered papaya salad. Its supposed to have shrimp. I didn't expect a dozen shrimp. A serving size is not too much to ask. It literally only had 2 shrimp. Very underwhelming. The waitress was very nice. The stars are for her. The drunken noodles were good. It's an ok establishment. Nothing to write home about. I won't be returning.
We went there on our first date and loved it. The food the service and the food is delicious.
We had Ginger Duck and Chicken Pad Thai. Both were very good. We esp liked the Ginger Duck with veg- great flavor. The service was excellent and the lady who served us was happy and attentive. We would definitely go there again.
It, as usual...was scrum-del-i-icious! Great staff!
Good food, good prices, excellent service.
Ordered panaeng curry with chicken, with fried banana with ice cream as dessert. It was all VERY good, and at a reasonable price. The service was prompt and wait staff was smiling and friendly. The restaurant was clean and tidy, and welcoming. I will be back. I’ll add a cute picture of the “teddy bear” made of rice. It’s a small gesture but just shows they care. It made me smile.
This is a family favorite restaurant. For the quality of food the prices are reasonable. The food is always incredibly flavorful. Definitely recommend.
Absolutely the best Thai food ever !! Great service great quality of foo at a great price absolutely love this place
The food was greasy the last 2 times we went. I ordered a dish with garlic and pepper. There were no garlic and peppers! We won't be going back.
Not what we expected at all I've been to thai restaurants and this one was horrible my wife had 2 long hairs in her food and the food was not great at all drove 35 min to be disappointed and spent over 65 dollars for bad food. Free food are you serious I would neve eat there again im simply giving me opinion of how the food was the hair was in the rice we didn't put it there. For you to say we are looking for a free meal is ridiculous if that was the case I would have complained about my tab and not wanting to pay so come again.
Better than average taste and texture, light on the meat. Happens sometimes, guess business slowed.
My shrimp&chx hunan was excellent.
The wife&kid enjoyed their plates as well.
Love their wonton soup. I know its just wonton soup? No way. A good wonton gives you a hug from the inside. Warms you when ur cold or hot. Theirs is my favorite.😀
April 2021, I ordered two beef drunken noodles to go. They where the worst Thai food I've ever eaten.
Leftover soggy pasta. Pork, not beef and barely any. The flavor that gives drunken noodles its signature was not present.
Tasted like left over pork low mein. Neither of us finished that garbage.
I am shocked because I e had good experiences, but the cook that night should not be allowed to serve food to humans. I wont return.
The food and service was really good!!!
I have been coming to this restaurant for my favorite dish Green Curry with Chicken for YEARS. My daughter is now 12 so it’s been that long. The customer service is astounding and the food is divine - doesn’t matter what you order. We had moved to New Castle and my husband would drive down to get it for me. Now we live in Nebraska and what prompted this review is he drove 1200 miles with my Green Curry on ice and let me to you - I couldn’t wait to have a little bit...SO DELICIOUS! Please know this is AUTHENTIC THAI. I miss them.
Love Precious
I really don’t understand how this place isn’t Delaware’s Best Restaurant. Every time we have a couple dollars we come to Bangkok Thai Cuisine. My fiancé is obsessed with this place and I don’t blame him. I actually put him on to this restaurant. Let me tell you there is no tricks no hidden agendas with the dishes here everything is seasoned and flavored as it’s supposed to be. I’m tryna to pick out different items on the menu but the first entree I run to is Shrimp Pad Thai. Idk what kind of secret potion they have in the ingredients but it gets better and better everytime. Please come to this restaurant not the terrible copy cats in Rehoboth like Sticky Rice Thai Style. I went their and got my usual Shrimp Pad Thai I’m sorry but that wasn’t it. I took one bite and I got mad. I should’ve figured that it wasn’t going to be good by the smell of it but I was trying to be optimistic. Well now I know my number 1
This place is a jem for great Thai food on the Eastern shore! Blown away by the excellent food, fast friendly service and awesome drinks! For the price you can't beat it. Had the spring rolls (cooked to perfection) and the green curry (best I've had in the USA). So good I went back for take out after I got done shopping around Dover! If you get the chance, GO!
Delicious
Nice spot. Plenty of good Thai food. Personal greetings and service from very friendly owners and staff. Must do while in Dover.
So what to say: interesting and tasty food, happy and helpfull staff, clean tables, fresh drinks and always friendly atmosphere!
I've been here twice and each time the food was amazing. Prices were great as well, and staff was friendly. I'll definitely be back in the future!
Seriously the best Thai we have had in so long!! This is the real deal. We used to live in Germany and had a little Thai place ran by the sweetest Thai woman and we were missing it so much. We stumbled across Bangkok Thai and tried it. The pad Thai is 10/10 and Thai fried rice 10/10. Reminds us so much of our old place!! Thank you for making such amazing food!!
⭐️5 - For good customer service. They are nice & friendly.
⭐️ 1 - For the food. I ordered peking duck for takeout. It’s really salty and the serving was TOO little, not even compare to a kids meal. It’s crazy for $15 it’s kind of pricey! ATTENTION TO THE MANAGEMENT PLS.
Lovely environment.
Always delicious.
Great food
Walking up to b the pplace, the hustle n bustle of life seemingly not affected by covid, the sound of l.o.x comin for parking lot reminds me of a time of youth that just makes me smile fron ear to ear Opening the door you hit with the smell of spice and love, the well dressed ypung lady sitting me down to what was goin to be one of the best dining experiences of my life. Italy, greece, greenland, and many more over my life held nothin on this little shop in dover de. With a modest check and full belly accompanied by a fire on my tongue i gladly tipped the waitress 20 dollars and made my way.....Simply put....its worth the stop in if you find urself in Delaware.
I literally can't get enough. I come a couple times a week and think about it all the other days lol. Great food and great service. Very friendly employees and atmosphere. Highly recommend the Thai basil chicken and hot & sour soup.
Quick and tasty.
We've eaten here twice in the past few weeks. The staff is lovely, parking is easy and the food is very good. Fresh, tasty and well priced. We'll be back...😁
This is my third visit. The lunch specials are always good. Pineapple Curry is a favorite! My server was held up explaining menu items to a table. The owner saw me and ran right over and took my order. Great food and service!
The food and services are great. Never once had a bad visit. Food is arrived at a timely manner, the staff are great people and the owner is very nice. Keep up the good work and we'll see everyone again for some soup
The prices and food are good, Staff is friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
I still can't get them to give me native hot, but I can't get any restaurant to that since moving to Delaware.
Always great staff, and awesome food!
I give them one star because food was great. Service on the other hand was poor. We are from Virginia. My daughter decided to go to college in Delaware. It was our first day here, and after moving my daughter into her dorm, she decided to go here for lunch with us (her family) before we left to go back to Virginia. We were sat at a table that had just been wiped down. Server huffed and puffed when asked if she could wipe table off so that the table was not as wet. Server was slow getting our drink order and food order. We received our lunch (which was phenomenal). As we finished my daughter mentioned something about wanting to go because she was tired but continued in conversation with her family. The server then came over to my daughter and slammed bill down on table that was on a little plate in front of her yelling "I don't appreciate you clapping your hands at me or snapping your fingers at me for the bill! I heard you say you wanted to go!" She yelled loud enough to embarrass her and have everyone staring. When told that she never did that the server said "Oh, I thought that is what she did." She then went in the back to hide and never came back out. This server should not be able to speak to any customer like this! This is one of our first experiences of Delaware. Needless to say my daughter will not be returning nor will my family ever return when we come to visit.
Got some food here with some friends and we really liked it. I ordered some fried rice, which was excellent, and my wife ordered Pad See Ew. She said it was a little dry. With that said, it could have been because we got it take out. Maybe it sat a little long.
One thing that really impressed me was that our friends ordered a drink, and they forgot to put it in their bag when they got the takeout. Bangkok Thai Cuisine called our friends and told them they would refund then for that drink. They went out of their way to let our friends know that and to do it. I was impressed.
Great food, service, and prices
I herd Tai food was good, indeed it was! And the sister seems passionate about her work <3 she was a super nice lady and very helpful. I went in there with no prior knowledge about Tai food other than what I observed on YouTube, and she told me she can mix and match a few dishes I just have to tell her what I want. I said ok i like Spicey food and I saw this and wanted to try it like that. Soo nice!!! She brought me my appetizers the spring rolls and the soup and then the main entree. And brought me the pepper relish and the chili’s Dish to add to it. Let me say this, Thankyou very much!
Friendly staff especially during this trying time. The food wasn't half bad either. Almost certainly will come back again, and try other dishes.
Best food I have ever had.. great and friendly people.
Every single food item we ordered was amazing! Tofu was perfect, real crab meat in the fried rice, and tempura veggies! Yuuuuummmmm😍😍😍😍😍 service was out of this world! Thank you Nicole ❤️ you are the best!
Good and fast service! Food quality was disappointing to say the least - had the "manager special" which was basically undercooked ground chicken with onions. I actually counted 3 basil leaves to be exact which were supposed to be the main ingredient.
Awesome food and great service!
Ordered from here paid for extra chicken and extra rice ($2 each, so an extra $4) and got normal servings not extra like I paid for. Brought it up to the owners kept stating it was extra. I wish I could post a picture because the container was not even half full.
So far delicious, been there twice now!
Good food.
Wonderful staff and delicious hot food that did not take long.
Pad See Ew was fantastic! Great service too.
Great Thai food. Small, but nice ambience
One of my favorite go to spots for thai food in Dover.
Very good lunch. Fresh food with great flavor.
Basil fried rice with shrimp is magnificent. It can be a little pricey but their food is well worth it
Some of the best Thai food around. Thai food is one of my favorite cuisines and I have favorite restaurants in San Diego and DC. This compares with any major city in quality. Small town vibes and very friendly service. I love this place.
The duck is amazing
Pineapple fried rice with lamb
Ginger with beef
10 years strong! Great food
Big portions, great food. Great customer service!
Bad customer service.
Food is delicious and fresh. Service is prompt and everyone is friendly.
One of my favorites!! Their curry is pure delight.
Love this place. Best thai food around dover. I go here once a week at least to eat their noodle soup. I recommend their mango sticky rice and duck noodle soup. Also they have thai iced tea or coffee boba drinks.
Good service a little bit pricey flavor good. I ordered a Curry dish was expecting it to be stir fry not like a soup
Food was excellent
Great food. I hope to try everything on the menu.
My whole family got sick from eating here...Beware !! We won't be back.
Watered down Thai food for people with no sense of taste or diversity.
Family really enjoyed their meals, and my wife loves the bubble (boba) tea.
The red and green curry is very good and so are the spring rolls. Large portions of food as well.
The best Thai Cusine in Delaware.
Don't have many spicy Tom yam dishes
Food was very good. Will come back to eat again.
Food was good yet service was not. I had ordered some mussels and yet they did not come out until after a regular came in ordered and he had his soup before I even had my mussels and his food came out before I even got my soup. He had really good fast service while I had slow. He was give a condiments try full of sauces. I had to ask for one.
So sad this restaurant is in a long decline! I challenge you to find a appealing and thoughtfully prepared meal at this marginal location. There’s no way I would walk into this very poor location next to crime drugs and run down public housing! Stay to safe locations to do your dining while visiting Dover. Please be safe and drug free!
Loved it! Friendly and courteous staff. Awsome menu selection. Parking was easy and convenient, only a few steps from front door.
Better before. Very little meat in noodle dish at lunch for money
Owner is friendly, big delicious portions
Eat here. Excellent Thai food and great service.
I really enjoy this place! I've yet to have a bad meal here! The prices aren't bad and they are very quick. The inside is also very clean and the food is delicious. Dover doesn't have a lot of options that aren't McDonald's or just fast-food in general. I liked it. I'll be back.
Loved it! The waitress/hostess was very kind and knowledgeable about the food... I had the ginger catfish with sticky rice... Awesomeness!
Have been coming here for years, and am always impressed by the quality of the food and service. Delicious!!!
Coconut soup had barely any chicken and had a huge bath leaf in it. Drunken noodles were so starch and barely any chicken in it. Would not recommend.
My first visit to a Thai restaurant. I had the seafood salad, was really good. I also tasted my daughter's dish, it was delicious as well. The servers were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was calming and comfortable. The restroom needs attention though, there was no soap, just hand sanitizer and a roll of paper towels leaning against the wall, it could also use a little air refreshning. So glad I ate before I went in restroom, I had my own hand sanitizer already lol. As I'm writing this I'm thinking, how are the cooks washing their hands? Are they doing it AFTER leaving the restroom? Maybe they just ran out of supplies and it was my lucky day. Well I'm still alive for now but if they read these reviews and I ever return I hope to see soap, hot water and paper towels in the dispenser
I went for a late snack just before they closed, and everything was fabulous. I got the Fresh Garden Rolls--glass noodles, veggies and shrimp wrapped in rice paper, with a delicious sauce. Wow! (I had them hold the peanuts as I have an allergy.) Then I had mango sticky rice for dessert, one of my favorites, and it was also wonderful. It was a perfect late light meal for me after a day of traveling. This restaurant is in a little strip mall, and the interior is very casual -- as a result I was prepared for average food, but I was so wrong! This place is amazing, I'll be back!
Had the Royal Pad Thai and Glass Noodle Pad Thai, along with their boba drink. All of which were incredible tasting and very filling.
In Dover, there is a minimal variety of food outside of fast food and chains. This place is refreshing, and the food and people working here are wonderful. The "Thai hot" barely made me sweat, but for most, it's probably okay. The crispy spring rolls were excellent, and our main dishes were good enough to satiate my Thai craving for sure. I definitely recommend this restaurant to break out of the Dover food rut.
The food took long, i had a to go plate. about 30min.it had no taste ( I had fry shrimp mix vegetables and white rice. For the price very small portion
