I’m from New York. I stop by Meridian CT to take care of my mom. Every time I go for a walk I pass by Thai Tanic Cuisine restaurant. Today I decided to go in and order the Pad Thai with shrimp. I also asked for it to be a little mild spicy and omg. The service was quick and the food was delicious. It was such a great place to be in. The worker was friends and accommodating. I would go back again. Thank you 😊

Stopped here randomly and what a great place. Small it’s has seating only for 12 but the food is fantastic. We had The duck curry and the Masaman chicken. Both were delicious and you can get it as spicy as you want. I went with three and it was perfect for me, but it’s great to have the options. Ben was our server and it’s a family business so Mom & Dad do the cooking. Everything is cooked to order and they are flexible if you’d like less oil or gluten free they will accommodate.

I wasn't expecting just one table, but thankfully it was empty. The food was excellent. This place absolutely deserves the 4.8 star rating it has. I had the pad Thai, and it was great. I'm definitely coming back and trying the soup dishes.

In my opinion, Thai Tanic has some of the best Thai food in CT. This establishment has a warm and family-run atmosphere, with kind staff. Their pumpkin curry is one of my favorite dishes and their tofu texture is a 10/10 (which I have had trouble finding at any other restaurants)! I highly recommend stopping by, you won't regret it! :)

This is the little Thai place that could!
Cooked well and literally served with a smile. Good prices. There are a lot of Thai places that aren't good; this is not one. The cooking rivals NYC restaurants. Other people know it too. The takeout is always steady traffic. With just a couple of tables inside, take out is a guaranteed good meal. Meriden, you lucked out with this little gem on the hill.

Just moved to Meriden area, first time here and was worried it wouldn’t be worth the money or authentic Thai. The food was amazing took me by surprise. All dishes based off home made recipes. Very polite staff and very easy going. Definitely will be coming back, worth the money!!

A wonderful lunch stop on our road trip back home to NYC. Super friendly service and delicious, fresh dishes. We ordered the spicy basil fried rice, pad see ew, and a number of the appetizers. It was all very yummy! We’ll be back next time we drive through.

The best Thai place in town. I went for the first time the other night and enjoyed my food. The Thai Wings were absolutely delish and the Curry Shrimp with just the right amount of kick was super tasty. I will be returning soon!

I have lived down the street for 5 years now and cannot believe I never tried this. They now have a loyal customer. Fair prices, hefty portions, very nice people, and delicious food. Love the house curry!

So thankful I found this place my first night in CT. I know I’ll always have great eats from here. Ordered the pineapple chicken fried rice (not as much pineapple but I added some of my own; chicken was plentiful), pad see ew (excellent amount of veggies and chicken), crab Rangoon (imitation crab used which is great for me… shellfish allergy), and black sticky rice pudding (sweet but doesn’t feel like you’re eating straight sugar).

Cashier was super nice and explained everything so I knew what was going on.
I got the Cashew nut entree, come with white rice, Tom Yum soup, this comes in two sizes, and cucumber salad.
The Tom Yum and Cashew Nut along with many other dishes have a spice level you can pick (0-5) and that was very handy.
The flavor is very well done and taste AMAZING!
All the food was really good and FRESH, I will be going back!

Very good Thai food. Great atmosphere. Pays great attention to direction. From someone who's been to most Thai places in CT, Thai Tanic is one of the best.

Ordered the Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp which is $2 extra but definitely worth it. The portion size is very big and it tasted so fresh including the vegetables. Also ordered the spring rolls which comes with a delicious sweet chilli sauce.

Best Thai food I've ever had. I absolutely love their house curry and the subtle peanut flavor in the sauce, and the spiciness is just right. They always see me coming in and have my food ready for me right away. They are kind and devoted to making delicious food for you!

Absolutely love this place!! The food is so good and amazing quality. I love that they have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options and it’s nice to have so much to choose from. Their Basil Fried Rice with tofu was super yummy. My boyfriend got the Crab Fried Rice, it’s his first time having Thai food and he loved it! We also enjoyed the Iced Thai Tea. So incredible words cannot express how delicious the food is! I ordered the chicken tom kha soup and it was so fresh tasting. The broth was made to perfection with the perfect amount of coconut creaminess and lemongrass. The Thai iced tea was so good it made me tear up. A must try!!! The crab rangoons were stuffed with delicious crab meat. I would order everything again. Excellent fast service as well!

Thai Tanic is so good! I've had the chicken pad thai multiple times, always great, but recently have tried a few different things, the orange chicken is soooo good, my picky toddler loves it so much we got it two days in a row, and they have the best sweet sticky rice I've ever had, absolutely delicious, very fast, always fresh and hot, and very kind staff. In my opinion,the portions are very generous and the prices are very reasonable, can't say enough good things

Only thing they could improve is the atmosphere. Though it is mostly take out and they've very limited seating... I wished they could've decorated the place better making it look more authentic. The path to restroom is through the kitchen.

We stopped here on our way to NYC from New Hampshire and it was great! The food was fresh and delicious. I had pad thai and my friend had duck curry, and my husband had vegan pad thai. We also had spring rolls and summer rolls - it was all fantastic.

And the family who runs it and does all the cooking was so charming and friendly.

We will absolutely go back whenever we have the chance, and I highly recommend it!

We just tried Thai Tanic for the first time today because of all the wonderful reviews on the Nextdoor app. Well they were correct! The food was really good and trust me I am super picky! My son got the Red curry with beef and I got the House Fried Riced. We also got a side of spring rolls and coconut shrimp. Everything was so fresh and hot. I thought all fried rice was the same but I was mistaken. This fried rice was super good and not greasy. My son said his was nice & spicy the way he likes it. The containers were packed full, enough food for two more dinners. We will definitely be back. We needed a good restaurant in Meriden. Finally something worth writing about. Oh and the place was clean! The new owner are so sweet. Great Job! Thank you

This place has the most amazing thai iced coffee! Smooth & sweet, but pretty strong. Also, the food portions are realllyyyyyy generous. $9 coconut shrimp?? unheard of! The gentleman who checked me out (take-out order) was so kind & this experience will definitely have me returning 🥰

My partner and I stopped here for dinner on a road trip from VA to NH. It was quick to get at from the highway. The food was great and a big portion. The younger guy waiting tables and working the front was very nice and made pleasant conversation. It was a much needed, easy going pit stop in the middle of a long drive

New owners took over mid November. I patronized this restaurant with the original owners. It was bought by some other guy who sold it to the new owners.
WOW! The food here had been good in the past. Now, it is excellent. We had pad thai, larb and spring rolls. We really enjoyed the food, It was good quality, fresh and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place. I will be back. It is primarily take out though they have a few tables but unsure if you could eat in.
Please give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

The Quantity and Quality are Excellent

Our favorite thai place is closed on Sunday so we decided to try Thai Tanic again, see if it was any better... my husbands chicken drunken noodle was dry. The chicken is the steamed dumplings were also dry and not too flavorful .. and my pad see ew was overcome with taste of maple syrup and eggs, the bag was dripping from some liquid coming off my entree order. Really disappointed when you love thai food as much as we do! . Its local to me so I wish it was better.

We very tired after long drive of getting this done and must say server at desk was friendly ! Food was prepared pretty fast and loved Thai rice which was flavorful! Packing was done good to make sure food was hot till we get home

The shrimp Thai fried rice is delicious and a generous portion at that! The flavor is savory and the veggies are fresh. The shrimp is quite tasty and they take the time to really clean the shrimp. Kind of thought when I ordered a THIA BASIL dish it would have some basil!! Pho had NO Basil either!!! Thia food needs BASIL!!!! Maybe Thia Basil????? Would have settled for ANY basil!!! BAD EXPERIENCE from start to finish !!

Hands down the best Thai food we have ever had, with the nicest service to boot!

I have been there three times and the food is delicious and fresh!! The owner is very friendly. Can adjust the spice level which is awesome. Highly recommend the Pad Thai, Low Mein, Drunken Noodles. The spring rolls were crispy and flavorful. Highly recommend!

Kha Tom Soup. Chicken tasted chewy and dry. There were bay leaves left in it and some other inedible plant on it. I kept having to spit things out of my mouth. My entree was beef bulgogi. Every ounce of sauce from the non secured to go container leaked into the plastic bag. The best part of my $40 meal was seeing that the plastic bag my dinner was put in didn't leak and destroy my car or my clothes.

I called to order food, she asked me to pay. I said I was driving and asked if I could pay when I got there. She hung up on me and then blocked my calls! Terrible customer service, she should be fired. I will let my friends and family know to never go here.

The best restaurant in the area! Amazing food.

Owner was super nice, but the food was very plain. I got a simple pad Thai, but the noodles were too mushy and hardly had any flavor.

The people are amazing very kind and great customer service! On top of that the food is even better !

I am a believer. As soon as you walk in the smell is so comforting it wraps you in a big hug. I I am a drunken noodle fan and they have hit it out the park. I've had it the many places but there's by far is the best. The owner is so sweet and personable.

Ok for the past week iv been going here trying new dish’s I’m a vegetarian and I’m very happy to say they have many options for vegetarians the owner/chef is so nice and helpful and her food is sooooooo goooood never had Thai food before but there’s a homieness to her food like she’s been cooking it for years the first day I went there I tried the sticky rice and mango Desert she told me I might not like it because it’s a little odd let me tell you that thing is so good when you want something different and refreshing it’s really good imo definitely underrated I haven’t heard much about this place I used to pass by it all the time but I can definitely say I’ll be recommending this place to everyone I know meals range from 5 to $15 great portions and delicious food just wish there was delivery still 10/10 imo

Got the pineapple fried rice with chicken. When asked if they could make it spicy, they did not hold back, it was delicious. Great servings, nice and hot, and tasted perfect.

Tried this for the first time last week with one of our team members. He ordered drunken noodles without egg and received exactly what he ordered. Our food was delicious and well prepared. I will revisit without question.

Wish i could give it 6 stars! Me and my bestfriends ordered the chicken and beef pho, and it was phenomenal. Amazing owner and great service! I would highly recommend coming here for an amazing and blissful experience! 10/10

Like others have said, don’t worry about how the building looks outside. I was staying at the Choice Hotel and ended up ordering here 3 times in 3 days because the food is out of this world. The Ramathai with peanut sauce is so delicious!

The owner was very sweet to me, she complimented my outfit and that was really nice. I ordered the drunken noodles, cause I saw on the reviews that it was good and it was so good. It’s very spicy though but it’s was delicious. I regret not eating here sooner.

Food was very tasty, fast, and the service was incredible! The woman that owns the restaurant is so friendly and does a wonderful job making sure that the entire experience is pleasant.

While roadtripping to Boston we stopped here just because of the name and it was along our route.

Let's be real when you first look at this restaurant you're first instinct is to keep looking else where. It's small and nothing about it pops out but when you try their food oh baby 5 stars! Food was amazing!

Picked up A5 Dumplings were very good but missing ginger sauce. Drunken noodle Chicken was excellent good balance of heat and veggies/chicken. Major flaw over-cooked noodles but I think when came out of wok were probably perfect but sitting in tin and drive back to Wallingford pushed them over the edge. I have make drunken noodle many times at home and it only takes 1 minutes to turn them into mush. I will defiantly go back but hope to dine in when the Covid stuff dies down!

Our family enjoyed a terrific Mother's Day meal from Thai Tanic. The food was very good, and the portions were quite generous. We tried the Drunken Noodles with shrimp, Pad Thai, Fried Rice with chicken, Garlic Shrimp, and Pho Chicken. My husband and I were partial to the Drunken Noodles, and the kids preferred the Fried Rice and Pad Thai. I did a lot of research before deciding on ordering from Thai Tanic, and the other reviews were spot on! And, when my husband returned from picking up the food, he passed on a message to me from the "very nice friendly lady" at Thai Tanic thanking me for the order and wishing me a Happy Mother's Day! I whole heartedly recommend Thai Tanic!!

Great customer service and really good food. I just moved to this area and I’m happy I’ve found this restaurant.
