Modern family-friendly eatery serving fresh, flavorful, authentic Thai street food.
Authentic Thai Cuisine at Its Best!
Sala Thai Street food is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Thai flavors. The food is consistently excellent, with rich, bold flavors that transport you straight to Thailand. Their BBQ Pork is absolutely phenomenal—perfectly marinated, tender, and packed with flavor. And if you’re a fan of desserts, don’t leave without trying their Mango Sticky Rice. The mango is always fresh and sweet, paired with perfectly cooked sticky rice and just the right amount of coconut cream.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is friendly and attentive. Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, you can expect top-notch quality every time. Highly recommend Sala Thai for anyone looking for an authentic Thai dining experience!
Would definitely return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Small mom and pop shop that opened about 5 years ago, right before C19. They obviously made it through that mess for a reason! The ambiance of the place is really nice, plants and knick knacks all over, i really enjoyed looking at all the various things. The service was great, they were very friendly. I ended up getting a entree chicken pad thai instead of the lunch special, and order of summer rolls with sweet chili sauce added, tom kha gai soup, and a thai iced tea. Let's get into this: completely forgot to ask if they use tamarind in their pad thai, it is traditional but a lot of of places have been skimping on this and it takes away from the unique flavor. Fortunately they still use it which made me really happy. Took me about 15-20 minutes to get back to work so the noodles were a bit dry from the sauce, i think it'd be better fresh from the wok, however the taste was absolutely amazing. Also to note i asked for it to be a little spicy, white person spicy. Man o man a little spicy had my eyes and nose running, it was well worth it. The summer rolls were pretty traditional, i could taste a lot of the cilantro. The peanut sauce was a first for me, I'm used to a bit thicker of a sauce, and this one was thinner. More to the point it would absorb into the roll instead of sitting on top. Made it a lot easier to use both sauces! They were very refreshing. As for the tom kha soup, this was my least favorite, it lacked flavor and depth I'm used to with other tom kha soups ive had. Normally i have ginger, lemon grass, and some chili oil and of course the rest of the veggies. This one looked to be chicken mushrooms, onion and carrot only. Next time I want to try the papaya salad, apparently they are famous for what I'm told! Last the thai tea, you guys need bigger options for tea, it's so dang good and that small cup was a tease! Overall this place is pretty accurate with a 4.5, definitely worth supporting these folks and the food they are doing up. Thank you all and good luck, hope to see you next visit.
This is a truly authentic Thai restaurant. All meals I have had (and I have had a lot from Sala) was very good and delicious. The food is always fresh, good portions, perfectly spiced, and reasonably priced. As they say Thailand is a land of many smiles, so is the staff. And the staff is very good and responsive. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Typically I don't like Thai food, but this place has definitely won a spot in my work lunch heart. The food is nicely cooked, very light, and flavorable. I will be coming back here in the near future very often for lunch on my work days definitely. Staff are very friendly, and the interior is very clean and nicely decorated. I ordered lunch here for myself and 3 coworkers, it is very uncommon for me to satisfy myself and all coworkers when ordering lunch, but this place did it!
I have only eaten here once, but I am definitely going to return. Amazing service and delicious food.
Lunch is a really good deal too.
I can't wait to try more on the menu.
Love it, visit every week for lunch. My faves are the spicy drunken noodles, sala noodle, and chili flounder.

Hands down the best Thai food around.
Sala is superb Thai food! The food is hearty and authentic, with the staff being friendly and welcoming. I had the yellow curry, potstickers, and their Thai wings. The wings were a surprise shiner, as they were enhanced by the delicious side sauce! I recommend coming here for a fabulous dining experience.
very mediocre Thai food, try Thai palace instead
when i die, please bury me in Sala Thai Street Food's pad see ew
We absolutely love this restaurant. We have been going here since opening day. It is our favorite thai restaurant hands-down. The owner is so friendly and the atmosphere is calming. You need to check this place out! My favorite is the drunken noodle and shrimp summer rolls.
Good food okay service. Always slower than expected
Excellent choice if you have already eaten 60-80 percent of your daily calories and you still want to go out to eat. Every choice even the "unhealthy choices" are comparably super healthy by comparison to most food you could get while eating out!
Incredible Thai dishes. Scrumptious food.
We ate dinner here for the very first time and it was delicious. The food was tasty and the portions was plentiful. The waitress was very pleasant. I loved the decor. We would totally recommend this place.

Great fried rice
Best Thai spot in area. No question
The food and service were excellent.
Good food and excellent service! The server was friendly and courteous. The ambience is nice too! Lunch specials are just an excellent option.
Pad krapow was good and close to authentic.
Definitely a must visit!
Good food, great service and very reasonable pricing!
Absolutely live it , will be going back soon
Coast to Coast and Sala hotpot excellent best in Hartford Canty. Thailand really food
Ordered during a snow storm cause it was hard to find a place that was open. Had never ordered before which usually leads to a less than satisfactory meal, but this was delicious!! Great portions, excellent flavor, real food. We will order again!
Amazing authentic Thai food. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Will definitely be back!

Very good Tai menu, excellent "Ginger Lovers" and "Chili Flounder" from the lunch menu, courteous and attentive service, amazing price for the quality of meals. It's far from where we live or we'll become regulars.
Good place for eat food without much disturb
Excellent food and service
I am disappointed in the quantity of spring rolls for almost $8 for 3 spring rolls! They have a photo of the food on their website, and the meal looked nothing like it had been advertised. This needs major improvement. Wouldn't recommend it to any one for the asking price.
Don't let the dumpy run down strip mall exterior keep you away - the inside of the restaurant is quite beautifully decorated. The food is good with a wide selection of curry dishes and everyone's favorite Thai noodle dishes like drunken noodles. Went on a week night with a party of 6 so the restaurant was largely empty which meant we got our food quickly!
Great food!
Everyone should support this local gem. Everything I’ve tried at Sala has been good. Love their pad see ew and wonton soup especially
My favorite Thai restaurant in CT.
Great lunch at reasonable price. Great service and relaxed atmosphere.
Very kind and helpful staff.
*Massaman curry made vegan - delicious
*Thai Eggplant - good, would have been enjoyed a tad more spiciness though.
*Stuffed wontons - delicious, but a little flat, could have used more stuffing.
*Red curry made vegan with tofu - delicious
* green curry - delicious
*Pepper garlic stir fry with tofu - light and tasty
All of the curries can be made vegan, with vegan soup and appetizer, you just have to ask for all vegan. Brown rice avail for an extra dollar. Hoping they will make this more clear on the menu, and include more all-vegan options in the future!
Very good food and service very polite good choices I'll be going back again. Noticed that the do alot alot of take out.not crowded good family atmosphere.
the food was delicious very authentic
This was my first Thai experience and they did not disappoint. The place was clean with a homey feel to it. The waitress was Super Friendly and shared some knowledge with us. I would definitely repeat and they were doing a lot of takeout and delivery. The food was packed with flavor and heat as the waitress warned me before hand! Had a lunch special for $9.99 and it was a big as some dinners I've had. Shout out to Mark Weins for peaking my curiosity .... lol
Excellent drunken noodles
Wow! I’m impressed all around. Service is great, decor very neat, music very relaxing piano tunes, bathroom clean and stocked. Food is great and fresh. Second time around and I’m impressed.
Nice decor. Friendly wait staff delicious food. I am updating the review. This is my go-to restaurant during the pandemic. Food is still delicious. Staff/owner still terrific.
Have had take away here many times. Thai toast, shumai, curried wantons, fried chicken on rice, pork BBQ, pork belly all excellent. Special treat if you like a little heat is the waterfall beef! Can’t go wrong, great food, prices are reasonable, staff are wonderful!
Was expecting much more with the good reviews but the pad thai just didn’t taste very good and barely had any meat, was all noodles. The curry had decent flavor but again, very small portion. Just wasn’t very good overall. Very nice staff but was just too expensive for what you get.
Very nice lunch portion comes with 2 wontons and soup as well. Friendly service, will definitely be coming back!
FAVORITE THAI in this area (we’re in granby). the drunken food (pad kee mao) is AMAZING. kinda expensive but not too bad. note that the drunken noodles has large chunks of tomatoes and carrots, which that dish doesn’t always have so just a heads up. normal spicy is perfect for me, but pretty spicy for some of my family. you can get it mild and it’s just as good :)
Best food, cutest cashier.
the sala chicken is amazing
Authentic thai ! My personally favorite!
Very authentic food! We ll come again!
Great food and nice people.
Really good Thai Food
Great Street Thai food.
Excellent !
Gourmet menu for a wide variety of tastes. Entrees assembled by a world class chef. Tonight's choice was Heavenly Duck and it was delicious. Looking forward to spoiling myself with future selections.
Each meal appears to be a chef's choice of ingredients that was meant to complement each other and I believe that is the case.
Visit and enjoy.
Gotta Tell yeah best Asian Restaurant Restaurant in the area HANDS DOWN! All the food was delicious. I’m excited to start trying their Pho!! If my first experience was any indication their Pho is gonna be Phonomenal 🤓
They have some good lunch specials. I happened to have the Thai eggplant and it was just average. I paid $2 more to get the Coconut soup. It was disappointing. That was the 2nd time I had been there and both times there is a cleaning smell in there. While, I appreciate it clean, I can't handle the smell...don't know if it's bleach or something else.
Awesome Thai food. Best around.
Fantastic food and portions. Its a clean, bright and friendly.
Mediocre at best. The wonton soup tasted like it had been sitting out for a week (and the wontons were literally just wet soggy mush). The spicy drunken noodles were ok but the noodles were overcooked and also disintegrated.
Great food and service.
Great food and customer service. Will recommend it to all lovers of thai food. Will definitely be back
Delicious food in an intimate, cozy spot.
Best Thai restaurant ever staff is extremely friendly and helpful ...... Food is presented beautifully and taste amazing..... Highly recommended..... I would give 10 stars if I could... Definitely will be my favorite Thai spot..... Go visited you will not regret
Gracious service and delicious preparations. Menu items are predictable and reliable. Summer rolls were a little too heavy on the lettuce. Tom kha gai outstanding.
Great lunch meal - quick service, tasty food, solidly priced. The lunch special includes, Tom yum soup, salad, two fried wontons and then your choice of meal. I had the red curry with chicken and it was fantastically made. Looking forward to coming back
Excellent restaurant. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
Great food ! Warm & super nice treat, more like having dinner at best friend's home.
Service was excellent; prompt and friendly. The food was delicious. Restaurant was meticulous. Definitely a place to try.
Great Thai food. The best we had outside Thailand.
Best Thai food I had outside Thailand, great service.
Delicious food. Amazing service.
I only ordered 2 appetizers as I was on a quick lunch break...
However, taste wise I thought the food is great, but the portions are a bit minuscule!
Great spot for lunch, excellent salads, fried chicken & spring rolls. Expertly seasoned food, especially if you like Thai spicy!
The food was very good and the wait staff was quick and efficient. We had to rush out and are excited to take our time next visit. The pricing was very decent and the portions were good sized
So so good. I love it here.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Will definitely go again soon!
Excellent food, and the staff is friendly. This was my second visit, and I will be back soon. Thanks
Great service and delicious food within an inviting ambience. Highly recommend the Thai wings, Pad Thai, Crispy Fried Chicken, potstickers and the Kao Soi noodle soup. Very generous portions as well!
I get take-out 1-2 times a week from here. The place is almost always close to empty but the food is delicious! Very consistent quality and reasonable prices except the appetizers. The appetizers are a little small for the price (8 Calamari rings for 8$ is a little ridiculous), but the main dishes are all a great size and always tasty. They are super good about alterations too, which is a huge plus.
A terrific Thai restaurant in Bloomfield. Great presentation of each food item.
The atmosphere is nice for a late evening meal. I ordered the crispy pork belly, that wasn't crispy. The veg that was served with it was as underseasoned as the pork. My mom seemed to enjoy her soft shell crab noodles, although she said the noodles were a bit too mushy. I'm not sure if I'll be going back.
What a great Thai restaurant. Food is so fresh and delicious. Very distinct flavors that show a lot of care and skill went into the food preparation. Very friendly service and cozy atmosphere. The menu has so many things to choose from. Had the pad thai, tom yum soup and shrimp toast. I can’t wait to go back!
We tried the place under the new ownership and it appeared to be an improvement! The Tom Yum soup was delicious! Very happy overall.
Typhoon chicken was deelish!! Crispy with a sweet chili sauce on the side & enough flair where it’s hard to find a replica at another place (in my opinion) I got take out. Their chefs menu has some unique dishes, based on my 1st experience I’m eager to try some more. Also friendly greeting upon entry gets extra points!
The service and food is always great! I would recommend trying the Chicken Pad See Ew. My all time favorite!!!
new owners! great food and service.
Have ordered or been a few times. The food is on point all times. Did had one flub when ordered to-go. Called back and they remade the order, delivered it and even threw in an ice tea! I was impressed with the service.
I sure hope that they succeed. A must try!
The chang mai soup is spectactular!
SALA Thai Street food offers an environment which immerses you in real street-style cuisine that is offered across Thailand and South East Asia. The floating platter, beautifully plated, offers a taste of many appetizers which showcases and hints different styles of cooking that SALA provides. The SALA chicken on rice gives you an amazing taste using simple ingredients, and providing your pallet with complex flavors.
Delicious Thai Krapow and Mango Curry. Will definitely be a regular here.
Tasty food. Friendly service. This is a great addition to Bloomfield.
