Family recipe from Bangkok, Thailand to Louisville, Colorado. We pride ourselves in high quality food, authentic taste, and consistency.
I absolutely love this restaurant—the food is amazing and easily one of the best Thai spots in the area. However, there’s a major downside when it comes to takeout. The portion sizes are noticeably smaller than when dining in, yet the prices remain the same, which feels like a rip-off.
I usually order the drunken noodles, pad thai, and summer rolls with chicken or shrimp. When dining in, they serve a generous portion, but for takeout, the servings are much smaller. On top of that, they only include a tiny container of peanut sauce and charge $2.83 for extra, even though they provide a standard amount when dining in.
It’s frustrating to pay the same price for takeout and receive less food. While I love the flavors and quality, the takeout experience feels unfair, making it hard to justify the cost.
The food was average to below average compared to other Thai restaurants in Colorado, nothing special. My beef with garlic was bland, not evenly cooked/heated. The Tom kha soup was good. Portions were small and price was a bit high, but could just be the area average price. Service was great!
I'm Thai, and i can tell this is a really good Thai restaurant in Louisville the food is excellent my husband and i love it, and stuff was great, I order chicken basil is really good i love spicy my husband order cashew nut pork is really good too for Appetizer we had Crab Rangoon very good we will back again.
One of the best Asian dining spots around the area. Excellent curries, great selection of proteins. The Fried Tofu is delicious. My fave dish is the Chicken Basil with ground chicken.
Went to this nice Thai restaurant near McCaslin and US 36 interchange. Party of three on an early Saturday dinner. Seated without any wait at a nice patio table and was greeted by a friendly server. Ordered three entrees from the menu, which took about 20 minutes to arrive at our table... kind of a long wait, although the restaurant was a bit busy for 5:00 pm on a Saturday. Recommend sticking to mild or medium for "spiciness" per the menu - this restaurant's cuisine is authentic. Peanut curry and Pad Thai are highly recommended.
Delicious food! We ordered the panang curry and pineapple curry. Both were very very tasty. I do wish the rice portion was a little larger. The mango sticky rice was out of this world with super ripe mango on the side 🥴
The atmoshphere isn't the best. The layout of the restaurant could be much spacier and cozy.
Absolutely delicious! My husband. two other friends and I had dinner here on a Monday and shared 4 dishes. We were impressed with the delicious options and massive sizes. Service was perfect and quick.
Highly recommend the drunken noodles with beef. 10/10. We will all be back soon!!
Really good food. Great choices . Spice levels to your liking. Fresh ingredients. Top of the line. My only complaint is that there is not one in Denver. I believe they would be very competitive here.

Possibly the best restaurant in Louisville - everything on the menu is delicious. Can be slow, but it is very worth it - while you wait, be sure to try the Mojito (with or without alcohol)!
One of the best Asian dining spots around the area. Excellent curries, great selection of proteins. The Fried Tofu is delicious. My fave dish is the Chicken Basil with ground chicken.
Great Food, Service was both friendly and inviting, The restaurant was well designed and busy yet peaceful.
Very good and fresh food.
Vegetable potstick and Drunken chicken noodles are good. But we didn’t like the basil chicken.
After years of eating only Thai food at Basil Bowl in Lafayette, we ate in restaurant at Busaba only a month ago and had a great meal. The Pad Thai, Basil chicken, and dumplings were great. Then tonight we ordered take out and every single thing we ordered was bland? It was as if an ingredient was left off of every dish (we ordered the same dishes for comparison). We ended up having to add sauces from our fridge to the food so it didn't go to waste. Sadly, I will not try this place again after tonight and will be loyal customers of Basil Bowl in Lafayette!

Best Thai food I've ever had. I always get Thai hot drunken noodles! It makes me hallucinate it's so hot!
Great food. Like the patio
Best Thai in town! Green curry, red curry, sweet and sour, it’s all great.
Really good food. Great choices . Spice levels to your liking. Fresh ingredients. Top of the line. My only complaint is that there is not one in Denver. I believe they would be very competitive here.
Great food and quick service.
This place is so delicious and amazing. Servers and staff are so attentive and kind. Absolutely love this place!
There are lots of great places to eat in Louisville - but to me, this is the crown jewel. Incredible Thai food, very fresh ingredients, friendly and courteous wait staff, and clean restaurant. Treat yourself to some Thai at Busaba - you won't be disappointed!!
I really loved it. There was a time where their service and food quality went down. Last night was top. Something has changed
.
The food is excellent!
Truly checked every box. Friendly greeting into a nice atmosphere, solid menu with reasonable prices, super service—-and great food!!
Pad see ewe was delicious and the spice levels are actually accurate and spicy! The pineapple rice was soo good and such unique flavors! Kai was a wonderful server, so funny and can’t wait to come back :)
Spicy massaman curry is the move.
The ginger stir-fry chicken is probably the best I've ever had! The flavor is amazing, although I got a medium spice level thinking I'd be okay since that's what I normally get at other Thai places and this spice level made my eyes water!!! I've never eaten something spicy enough to make me cry but also so flavorful that I couldn't stop eating it, so so good!
Outstanding Thai restaurant with great food and efficient service. It's not going to be a relaxed meal but the staff work hard to keep things moving and take care of all your needs. Heed the warnings about spice level as they will cook it to a Thai spice level. Go to dishes are the panang curry and pad see ew but everything I've tried is well prepared.
Note that they get busy and are very responsible about shutting down online orders so prepare by ordering ahead of time.
Some amazing Thai food right here in Colorado! Service was above average as well as ambiance. But, again, food was spectacular!
Update - Sad to say I'm moving my review down to four stars based on service yesterday. Still love this place.
Great Thai food, one of the best in the state. It is a bit slower if you order take out but it’s worth the wait just plan ahead.
Amazing restaurant for vegans! Terrific flavorful food.
Bad Phone Ordering Experience. Amazing food.
(From 2018) I would have given a 5 star review - the food is amazing, the price is right, the location/environment is great, - however, I order take-off often and it's a big hassle. You can't order online (not that I know of). Which is okay. But half the times when I call, I can't get ahold of anyone - it goes straight to voicemail or I'm put on hold for a very long time. Just tonight, I spent 15-20 minutes and called literally 8 different times. Yes, the food is worth it. But I almost gave up and ordered somewhere else. On my last call, I got ahold of them. And yes, was asked to hold...for another 10 minutes. Ugh. If they could improve their online/phone ordering experience, it would give it a 5-star rating. Super frustrating.
(Update): Busaba did add online ordering a few years back and that made all the difference.
I absolutely love this place! Any dish is good! I don’t drink so they will make you a tasty mocktail. Consistent and the best Thai.
We switched up what we "usually" order (drunken noodles, green curry...) and still loved it. My wife got 3-flavor tofu and I went for Goong ob Woon Sen. Loved it. Still the best Thai in the area and one of the best I've had in the US... And that includes NYC, LA, and SF.
Lunch menu is now expanded too.
Honestly I've probably had 3/4 of the menu and still haven't found something I don't like.
Their Tom kha soup is the best.,very friendly staff
Very good Thai food. Service was great...friendly and efficient. The three of us had plenty of food and enjoyed it. Highly recommend.
Placed online order at 720. Order was delayed to 835, then 907, then cancelled outright. If you can’t or won’t fulfill orders because you want to close at 815, then simply don’t accept orders.
best curry around boulder
This place was the best. Was greeted by the host. Sat to wait for a table. Didnt take long for us to get a table. The appetizers & food were all delectable. Vegetable rolls, Corn puffs, Pad thai, Rama, & Mango rice for dessert. Cost was comparable to every other place. But the food was top notch. Highly reccomend BUSABA😊😋
Update: years later and it’s still my favorite Thai restaurant and now they offer the option to cook with coconut oil! I’ve stopped eating out due to the fact that most restaurants cook with seed oils only, we need more of examples like Busaba. Thank you.
The best Thai food I've ever had! We get takeout at least one a week and it's delicious every time plus the staff is great.
Pad Thai noodles and panang curry are really good!
Tried to go to the Boulder location for lunch mid-week, but it was temporarily (unexpectedly) closed. Went to the Louisville lo ation, which was open, and it was an awesome first time. Food and service were GREAT. Pricey, especially for lunch.
This is a reliable place to eat. The staff is friendly and the food is good.
Best Thai food in Boulder!
Great local spot! Best toothpicks in town… though the dispenser is a little finicky.
콜로라도에서 맛 본 아시안음식 중에 단연 1등입니다. 단골이 될 수밖에 없네요.
The food is incredible and the service was great!!
Favorite Thai place in Colorado so far! Love their veggie options. Thai eggplant is a nice touch.
To begin with, the food was fairly good. The veggie pot stickers were delicious with the right amount of crispy char and overall tenderness. After that, things took a turn. We were waiting for a friend who was running late and yet we kept getting pressured to order for everyone under the premise that "the kitchen is backed up and orders are taking longer"
We explained we were in no hurry yet the waitres/owner kept coming back to take our order.
It felt like she just wanted to turn the table quickly. Very uncomfortable and not professional.
The Pad Thai is seriously amazing!
We went as a group from work today. We all tried different foods and everyone enjoyed their foods. The waitress was extremely nice too. I highly recommend it.
Tasty place. A little overly Americanized for me but worth visiting (that may also be a result of getting take out and not fully groking the menu). Friendly staff.
They did have prik nam pla which is always a good sign.
Love this location! Fantastic service, delicious food, and a great ambiance! I love their extensive menu and in the summer it’s nice sitting outside. My stapled are the shrimp summer rolls, tom yum soup, iced tea, and garlic pepper chicken. All amazing! Mango sticky rice is also delicious when in season. Can’t say enough about this place. I’ve tried the Erie and Boulder locations and in my opinion this one ranks at top especially since they have a full menu.
For good Thai food in the Denver, Colorado area- check this place out. I had pad Thai noodles with extra peanut sauce and I was very impressed.
Best Thai food in CO!
Best Thai food in the area!
Best Thai place around Louisville
Nothing like it. Pad Thai, Tom Kha and Crab Fried Rice are my favs!
Food was great but they tell everyone dining in food will take "a while." Yesterday ours took over an hour- wish the staff would be fully transparent about the actual time vs just a little while. When my food came it also seemed like it had been sitting but the last time I came it wasn't like that. Flavors are good but the service time makes us not wanna go back to dine in :( I hope they can fix this!
While food is very good, it is one of the slowest restaurants ever for getting food. In multiple occasions have waited over 15 minutes to get food to go and waiting time for food at restaurant might be a bit better but in comparison to others not good at all! So, make sure you have time when you come eat here and especially if ordering for take out. You will be waiting a LONG LONG TIME!
Busaba in Louisville is a true gem, in Louisville and we're fortunate to have it.
I give this Thai restaurant 5-star. Our family loves their curries, especially the green curry, never disappoints.
While I haven't dined in recently, our takeout experiences have been consistently excellent. The generous portions ensure a satisfying meal with leftovers for the next day.
Although there are occasional delays in food readiness, it's a minor inconvenience easily outweighed by the delicious offerings.
Great staff and food was Authentic 👌
Be careful with the Thai hot!!
Not the same food quality and service it used to be.
I ordered panang curry and fried rice for delivery . Their partner Doordash deliver a plastic bag of dumped food - and when I called the provider (Busaba) they quickly wanted to tell me 'thats a Doordash problem'. No Busaba, it's a Busaba problem and it's your food, your delivery agent andbive paid for both to deliver quality. Get a better delivery provider or take care of your customer and you work it out with Doordash!!!
Usually I really love coming here but today I decided to not come back ever. So I wanted a simple shaken sweet jasmine tea. I ordered two, because I'm trying to be healthier so I decided to spend the bank that it would cost to have two sweet teas for the day. They have great food so usually it seems worth the price. They gave me this. This drink cost me $11.00 simply because I asked for shaken and not iced. $11.00 it's a joke. She showed me the amount of fluid that is actually in the beverage. It's less than a fingers worth. Its all ice which is completely dishonest to me. Now I get to spend more money going to Starbucks. My family and I are on a budget. Plus they were rude and in-attentive.The main lady was incredibly rude. Instead of focusing on me as a guest she prioritized everybody else. They were rude to me another time when I dressed up in a nice skirt but I let it go before. For $11.00 whether there is ice or not they should fill up the cup. Also, they spilled the first drink all over the place and prioritized cleaning up over getting me my beverage. Just rude. Save yourself money and go to whole foods. Whether there is ice or not they have the good sense to fill your cup. I could have bought two full marsala chai's and I would have had two cups. They literally tried to get me to pay another $11.00 for another cup of tea. I'm done.
I have been going here for years and love it. The foods is amazing.
Delicious thai food. I tried 2 of their special martinis but they were too sweet and light pours.
We ordered online for take out. Not a single item was done correctly. The no spice was spicy, egg rolls were raw, omitted items ignored, etc. They weren’t busy so that’s not the excuse. We won’t be going here again.
My whole family’s favorite Thai fusion restaurant in Colorado. Delicious food, lots of options and accommodation for food constraints. Warm friendly staff greet you and ensure you have a great meal.
Best Thai in Boulder area.
I usually get this place to go and enjoy it quite a bit, though it is a bit pricey.
I recommended the place to 2 friends, and we went to dine inside. I was kind of embarrassed for recommending it. They had ordered some green tea which never made its way to our table. Additionally, our order took quite a while and we sat at the table for a long time. The server mentioned something about an online order making ours take a while longer while she was topping off the water. It seems like they would prioritize people eating in.
Overall I really like the food it is worth it for the price, but I wouldn’t recommend eating in.
Delicious food and quick, friendly service. We ordered appetizers and one entree to share--corn fritters, summer rolls with shrimp, edamame and Pad Thai.
Food was pretty good. There is better Thai in the area. Walking in it felt like they moped the floor with mountain dew. Everyone's shoes were sticking to the floor
everywhere
Quite disappointed. We went for dinner on a Saturday. The place was busy. We ordered vegetable egg rolls to start. The server placed them on the corner of the table as she passed by. The rolls were incredibly small, over fried, and lacked much flavor. We considered leaving but decided to stay. We ordered drunken noodle with extra veggies as our entree. Though the dish was good and had nice flavor, they certainly didn’t add any extra veggies so we ate mostly noodles. The food wasn’t bad, it was just an overall disappointing dining experience. The wait staff all donned purple gloves which I’m sure they don’t change out between dishes, touching doors, their face, hair, etc. That was gross. Will try again in a few years.
Excellent thi food great selection s and the spring rolls were exquisite the soups were also enough for a meal in itself we sat outside but they also have inside dinning too thi iced coffee were great 👍
Absolutely delicious! My husband. two other friends and I had dinner here on a Monday and shared 4 dishes. We were impressed with the delicious options and massive sizes. Service was perfect and quick.
Highly recommend the drunken noodles with beef. 10/10. We will all be back soon!!
Really great food and atmosphere. Many dishes could be made vegan.
By far one of the worst dining experiences lately. We sat right away but weren’t greeted for at least 20 mins. Also they only had a broken high chair they showed us. They brought our toddlers app right away which was the only good thing. It took at least 60 mins to get our food. It wasn’t even busy in the restaurant but I think they have problems and prioritize to go only. After dinner I tried to take my toddler to the bathroom, that was out of order too and had to wait to use the men’s room. The server was nice and the food isn’t bad but it just isn’t worth these other problems and won’t be back.
Polite service,good food and clean.
Best in Louisville.
One of my top 2 favorite Thai places in the area. Khow Thai is #1
The best Thai food we found in Colorado. So lucky to have it in our town. Order early on the weekends because it gets busy.
We frequently eat here and enjoy it every time.
Likely the best Thai in Boulder county. Just delicious stuff. Reservations are always recommended, but take out is always an option. Service has always been quick and friendly. So glad I finally tried them a couple of months ago…have been back twice, even though other places are more convenient.
We love the food and service, can be a bit busy but worth it.
Quick to take orders, but then our server disappeared for ~30 minutes. We did not see her again until our entrees came (slowly) and had empty glasses and actually never got one of our cocktails at all. The entree that was recommended was about the quality of frozen Asian dishes from grocery stores.
Will definitely not return.
Understaffed. The food is among the best Thai you can get in the area. If you go for lunch be sure to allow upwards of 2 hours from the time you enter to the time you leave.
Excellent food and lots of choices. I loved the pumpkin curry. Very good mixed drinks. The dumpling appetizers are a little small for the price, but very good.
My favorite Thai food around. I love spice and Busaba always delivers. Everything is delicious. Grab a Thai iced coffee or tea with your meal.
There is a reason why there was a wait on a Tuesday evening. It was so good. Fried rice, drunken noodles and pad Thai are recommended.
After new ownership took over, unfortunately this place went slightly down. However, I am pleased it's picked up it game and again serving the closest thing to authentic Thai anywhere in the area. I miss the previous owners but still enjoy the cuisine that is always fresh and flavorful.
Food is usually very good. However, we have ordered takeout a few times and were recently assisted by an employee in a quite scary full face joker mask. Covid fear or not this is completely unacceptable and frankly bizarre to allow this in a restaurant. On top of that last time we picked up, a different employee threw some sort of violent tantrum visible to the public. Busaba management, figure this nonsense out!!! Control your people!!!
Good experience all around.
The staff is beyond amazing and the food is out of this world. I would eat every meal here if I could
Great Crab Rangoons!
Consistently good over the years. I am yet to have a bad dish. Curry, noodles, rice, all the appetizers are very yummy. Love the Thai tea, nice place to sit on the patio with family and friends.
Muy rica la comida y el trato del personal excelente
Went to this nice Thai restaurant near McCaslin and US 36 interchange. Party of three on an early Saturday dinner. Seated without any wait at a nice patio table and was greeted by a friendly server. Ordered three entrees from the menu, which took about 20 minutes to arrive at our table... kind of a long wait, although the restaurant was a bit busy for 5:00 pm on a Saturday. Recommend sticking to mild or medium for "spiciness" per the menu - this restaurant's cuisine is authentic. Peanut curry and Pad Thai are highly recommended.
One of the best Thai restaurants in the greater Denver area! Food and service are excellent and if you like spicy food their hot and Thai hot options are actually spicy and very flavor full. Not a bad item on the menu.
Could be the best Thai food in Boulder County. Excellent. Highly recommended
Our last visit was a total disaster. We ordered, and it took 30 minutes to get a glass of wine. Tables around us were getting appetizers and food when we had ordered before them. At 40 minutes and nothing, we got up and left. Train wreck service. Doubt the waitress ever put in our order and tried blaming the kitchen. It's not cool, and I am not impressed.
Food was good and they can make it hot.
Busaba is one of our favorite restaurants in Colorado. As a couple who lived in Thailand for a year, my wife and I think Busaba hits the flavors of Thailand cuisine perfectly. Every time we have people come in from out of state, Busaba is a go-to restaurant for us to take them to and they all request it when they come again.
Delicious food and great service
Great place and great food
It has dropped significantly in quality from just a year ago
One of our favorites!
I have been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. A great place to go for amazing Thai.
This is one of the best spots in Louisville! The food is always amazing.
My crispy tofu and mango sticky rice were 🤌🏽
Delicious food!
The best Thai food I have ever had. I personally don't really care for Thai food, but this place I keep coming back to.
Edit: dropping a star. The last several times I’ve ordered take out, it has not been the Busaba I used to enjoy. I don’t know if I’ve had a bad chef the last few times or if they’ve changed things completely, but now I understand why some people give low stars. Sometimes it doesn’t live up to the hype and I wonder what gives!
Previous review:
This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant. I’ve been coming here for about 8 years now, and though I live in Denver, I still make the drive to visit. Fair warning: call way ahead for pick up during busy times. It can take up to 2 hours to have your food ready. Also, spicy means SPICY! Order accordingly.
Favorites: Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Basil Fried Rice, Green Curry
Solid (as always). Fresh ingredients, great flavors, consistent spice levels, good service, clean - great for business or pleasure.
I enjoyed the lunch very much, I had great company celebrating a birthday. Can't complain about anything.
Excellent food experience. Pad Thai perfect heat.
Best Thai place in town.
Some of the dishes were fine but nothing to write home about. The dumplings were particularly terrible. Four 7.99 I believe I got 4 small, poorly cooked, somewhat burnt and not at all tasty dumplings. So skip the dumplings. The yellow curry was good.
The crab fried rice tasted delicious. However, I couldn't fully enjoy it because I kept chewing on chunks of crab shell. *The sound and feel of the unexpected crab shell against my teeth as I chew is jarring*. I was afraid to break a tooth. (I literally had to check afterwards to make sure I hadn't chipped any teeth)
Note: I don't understand the business's reply as I absolutely am 100% sure that it was crab shell in my food. To not acknowledge it is unacceptable.
Delicious food. Great service. Nice atmosphere.
The sweet and sour pork (hot) here is an outstanding medley of fresh vegetables, tender pork, pineapple, to-die-for sauce, and brown rice. The rice is nutty and tender without being chewy. The "hot" spice level (3 of 4) is stiff without overwhelming the flavor of the just slightly sweet sauce. Don't get me started how great the pineapple chunks are in this dish.
Get here before noon if you want a seat for lunch!
We started with three appetizers, chicken satay, chicken potsticker, and the chicken puff. All were prepared very well and were delicious. For dinner we had Pad see ewe and the pepper garlic, both were delicious. I highly recommend this place.
One of my favorite local restaurants. I always order the 3 flavor tofu which has a wonderful spicy sauce. Lately it has tasted like it has freezer burn and not as fresh. I often get a take out order because the restaurant is incredibly loud. Because of its popularity, there is an hour plus lead time for take out orders.
eveeeerything about this place is amazing. clean, great service, nice environment, & my pumpkin curry was out of this world DELICIOUS. yuuuum!
3 stars. Place is promising. Appreciate the fact that menu is marked for V or GF. Unfortunately service was lacking. Ordered a dish that came out cold and soup that took forever. Also never got a refill on my drink.
Tasty and very yummy. Will for sure be back.
I love the Larb!!
Super busy and the kitchen is constantly overwhelmed but thats how you know it's good
Everything tasted delicious at our table.
Make reservations ahead of time.
