I LOVE Thai food and was excited to try Thai Rama in Torrance. The restaurant itself isn’t very glamorous. It does seem a bit run-down and old. They definitely need to renovate. However, the food was pretty delicious. My sister and I shared everything which worked out because the portions were pretty generous. We got an order of the BBQ Spare Ribs and an order of fried rice. Everything was tasty and actually hit the spot. I had to get a Thai Tea which was legit. I’ve had my fair share of Thai Tea and the one I had here was it!

Overall, the service and food were great! The ambiance, eh, needs some work. I will come back and try some other items on the menu.

Outstanding Thai food! My favorite drink Thai Iced Tea...soooooo good! Fresh papaya salad a bit spicy which the Thai iced tea really helps simmer the spiciness because of the milk or cream. The dish is pineapple curry with shrimp and added chicken. It's enough for two people but since I went solo....it's yummy leftovers!!! Seriously, really good food here! Go check it out. 😋

The service was good. The waiter was quite nice and friendly. However, the food lacked flavor. We ordered the cashew broccoli, yellow curry and vegetable fried rice. The cashew broccoli was good. The yellow curry was sweet but bland. The vegetable fried rice had no flavor.

Good representation of authentic Thai food. The portions are a lot bigger than what's offered in Thailand but the dishes we order were too Americanized, need to add more fish sauce and zing of more spices.

The food was very good. I had a chicken based dinner and it seemed to have a half of an entire chicken in the dish. Great portion. The curry sauce was really tasty. I asked for low spice and unlike many Thai restaurants I've been too, it was not too hot for me. So most people could probably handle normal spice levels here. The service was great and super friendly. The Thai beer was a bonus.

Food was really good!

It pains me to write this because I've been coming here for more than 10 years and it used to be my favorite, but its gone downhill.

The good:
I still like the food, especially the curry as it's thicker than most places

The bad:
1) the food is now very inconsistent. One order of Curry will come in a tall take out container, the next time it's a short one. One time you get bamboo and eggplant, the next time you won't get bamboo ( sometimes even when you specifically ask for it)
2) the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. It's a bit cold feeling and it's one of those places where the acoustics are horrible because of all the hard surfaces, making it difficult to hear the person across from you.
3) the customer service is horrible. Tried to contact a manager multiple times, leaving messages every time and never got a call back.

seafood was not fresh.
soup tasted like metal. They dont know how to wash there pots correctly. Fried rice was the best thing on our table . bland/greasy

The food is great, but the service is terrible, the waiters always have a attitude on there face, its not my first time coming there has been several times and everytime a bad look on there face it almost looks like there mad at their customers, I was thinking about it several times to submit this review but now was just enough they earned it!! I don't recommend it for anyone.

Delicious, authentic, reasonable prices. We had takeout tonight and dinner was ready right on time. Prig king, basil chicken, fried rice, pad thai, morning glory, and green curry. All were delicious and well packed for takeout. Would highly recommend and we'll definitely return again.

I ordered a Crab fried rice to go for $20 and when I opened it , there was no crab at all and ALL FRIED EGG. They tried to cheat using egg as the main ingredient to make it look right but the meat is not there. It was too late to drive back and tell them about it.

The food is acceptable. Not the best but edible. The person taking the order could not explain what the food was. We had to guess. We asked to make the food Thai strength spicy . It was bland . If you still decide to come here and you like your Thai food spicy , You have to really force them to make it spicy . The cashew nuts chicken was quite different from the authentic Thai version almost all the flavours and textures were missing to the point it should have been named something else. The green curry had most of the ingredients except green peppercorn which wasn't a big deal but would have been nice . The pad Thai was kids portion and over cooked and had this strange ketchup taste. Noodles were cooked to oblivion and the taste and texture was well below average . If you still have to eat here then just order the safe green curry because the green curry paste is the same wherever you go. Restaurants usually can't afford to make green curry paste on their own. The Thai coffee was below average . The Tom Ka Kai ( I had to to translate the name in English while ordering since the person taking order didn't understand Thai) tasted excellent . You will like it. I'm being generous by giving them 2 stars. Personally I would not come here again .

I love this place! They serve a great amount of food and the food is quite delicious! The woman who helped us was very nice too.

My family has been coming here for over 30 years, and it remains a local Thai staple. I love the beef satay and Tom Yum Kai soup.

What a delightful experience we had! Fast friendly, efficient and thorough service. There is plenty of space inside and also for parking, you can bring your big rig or tractor they will fit in the parking lot! There are plenty of choices and everything is delicious, and many are nutritious also. We had the salmon steak plate, I took a bite and there was fireworks in my mouth! We also ordered the seafood soup, pork plate and green curry.. al were Bomb dot com. If you like Thai, this is a must when your hungry and in torrance!.... I just finished and still writing this review , but I'm going to step out and. Omelet back to order a Thai tea to relive the experience immediately!.. lol

I ordered the spicy soup with coconut milk and chicken. It was a lot of chicken and delicious flavor. Just the right amount of kick to jump start my lungs. All the ingredients were fresh, plentiful and delicious. The ambiance is lacking, but they're so busy obviously Thai patrons don't care. Very nice waitstaff and perfect to go place if you want to eat elsewhere.

My friend ordered their Lard Nar and also loved it. They are limited to pick up or take out orders only as are most other restraints at this time. Please pick up from your favorite restaurant or try this new place. They all need your support.)

This is my go-to for Thai food. It's the best in the Torrance area in my opinion. The eggplant tofu stir fry is amazing.

Got a fried fish filet and a dipping sauce and white rice for $16.00 dollars. If I
wanted veggies my bill would go up to 29.00. Little bit to pricy. Plastic ware or napkins. That was NOT a good 😕 costumer service. NOT HAPPY AT ALL.

Tried this place after years living in Torrance since it’s walking distance to me now. Ordered my usual pad kee mao aka drunken noodles. These were more like sober noodles. No sauce. No flavor. Very dry. Too bad. Customer service was friendly and the food was ready quickly though.

I walked in and ordered my food and 3 other people after me. I was told 20 minutes and I was assuming that they would bring my food outside after the 2 people got there food handed to them. About 30 to 40 minutes of patiently waiting outside and watched the 3rd person get there food handed to them and that 3rd person standing across from me and the guy who took my order didn't even look at. So then I walked in and asked the girl if my order was ready..low and behold my food was sitting behind her with my 2 drinks and all she had to say was "OH" really!!
Felt very disappointed and and I will "NEVER" go there again in all SERVICE SUCK AND THE FOOD WAS NOT WORTH THE 45 MINUTES I WASTED.

I've only been here once, tried the pad thai with shrimp. My plate only had 3 shrimp and the noodles were too sweet for my taste, dont know if that's how it's supposed to be. Based on this experience alone, I dont feel like I'd try it again.

Not as good as it was. I used to order a lot of take outs from here but my most recent order will be the last. The sauces are so watery and are bland. Thai food is meant to be fragrant, spicy, tasty and full of flavour- you will not find that here I'm afraid.
