Great local place to go...value for the money. Most of dishes are under $15. Foods are decent and pretty good. A/C is not working so it's bit hot inside. Maybe they are trying to cut costs by not running the ac. They have to invest on it even they do not have enough customers. We almost left because of the AC. With good prices and decent food, we will definitely go back.

I love that food so much and this place is perfect for my Thai food cravings. I'm gonna come here quite often. Thai food is a comfort food I will never let go of. This place has absolutely amazing and rich flavors in the dishes. I recommend tom yong koong. Although it is an acquired taste you will learn to love it. I was sick today and it was the perfect soup to make me feel better. The drunken noodles are a classic. Gonna try it next time I come here. Service is amazing. Prices are great. Food is immaculate. Usually plenty of parking.

Had the pad see ewe with chicken and the mint leaf (basil) chicken served with fried egg and steamed rice. It was very delicious! Tasted authentic. The food is served quickly and the prices are reasonable.

The orange chicken had no flavor and was very crunchy with hardly any orange sauce flavor! The pot stickers were not thoroughly fried and were raw on the edges.

Too cold. Love the food but the restaurant is too cold

This has become my new lunch spot I love thai food so I order for lunch and they usually have it ready pretty fast I enjoy the chicken fried rice

Beef dish was inedible, pad thai was dry and the chicken in pad see moa was suspect. This was my favorite Thai restaurant, but I will not return while the Health Dept. grade remains a C!!

Hidden in a strip mall this gem serves authentic and delicious Thai food. Loved the Panang Curry in particular. We will be back here regularly.

A NEW OWNER took over 2 years ago, the PRICES are too HIGH and the quality of food too LOW. Portions of food are ridiculously SMALL. Too bad, we used to like this place.

Patakan always has great food. Service person was nice. I was so surprised to find it empty! Maybe people visit later!?

This place has really gone down hill in recent years. This place used to have really incredibly good Thai food for the money, but now you’re honestly much better off getting recipes to make at home from Trader Joe’s. The price is high and the food quality and flavors are just not there anymore.

I gave this place another try but after finding a piece of plastic in my pad thai I think it will be the last. It was take out so I could not bring it back.
That kind of mistake is irresponsible and just plain yucky.

My wife and I used to eat here every week when we lived nearby. It was always a wonderful experience. My wife and I were discussing our favorite restaurants of all time and this was our number one choice. We miss you, Patakan!

Been going here for years. We had always enjoyed over the years, but our last couple visits the quality hasn't been quite as good as it has been in the past.

We'll see if that trend continues on our next visit.

Second time ordering from here. The food is not good. No flavor. They must use the cheapest of ingredients. The chicken was mostly grizzle, the crab cakes did not taste of crab at all. I actually did not eat my food. I ordered take out and they gave me no utensils or napkins. I will not be going back here again.

Call ahead for pick up/take out. Food is very good and fresh. You can do your own vegetarian dishes, just order the protein on the side. This business is working very hard during these difficult times and deserve our support.

The best Thai food.

WOW. It is hard to find really good thai food and this place gets it right! I am so grateful that the noodles in my pad thai were not soggy and sticking together in a lump. They were the perfect al dente. This is honestly the first time I've had pad thai since I moved to LA and was really impressed by the doneness of the noodles. My boyfriend had the green curry and said it was delicious. He also had their mango green tea and claims it is his new favorite beverage. Haha. I went back to Patakan again and had the beef pad see ew with Chinese broccoli. It was awesome. Everything I expect and want from pad see ew. I am so glad I found this place! Where have you been the last 5 years Patakan???

Wanted support local business placed order by then direct webside. But taking 1 and half hour got delivery only 1 miles away. And person taking phone call bad attitude. Lost my appetite!!

I’m also sad to report that our last order was not up to the usual fabulous standards, including a shrimp dish that was greasy, with sub-par shrimp.

Sooo good! My friend had garlic sticky rice years ago and hasn't been able to find it since. They have it on their menu and I see why she never stopped looking, it was amazing! I could eat it once a week

Previously loved their food, but my last two orders have been terrible.
-There was a panang chicken curry that had chewy and uncooked chicken. They replaced our food and the followup was good.
-This time we get a chicken pad thai and a chicken pineapple fried rice, and the taste of both was just off and now my husband is starting to feel sick to his stomach.
I forgave them once because I'd loved them before, but twice messed up this bad means I'll never order from them again.

I have only ever ordered the chicken fried rice for lunch and it keeps me coming back. Very tasty, not cheap but reasonable. And the service is very nice even when they are busy, which you can bet they are at lunchtime.

Delicious Thai food. Found their wonton soup and fried rice dishes to be very flavorful. Ample menu.

The food was fantastic and flavorful. Very accommodating to a vegan diet as well! It will be on our regular list from now on!

The food was good as usual. However, they inserted a few meager pieces of chicken into The pai tia chicken plate. I call them on it and mentioned the few small tiny morsels and could actually put some chicken into the plate. They did. However, charged me 2 more dollars for their error. Bad management decision. I'm giving them a 2 star for poor mgmt service. However, as the quality of the food goes, I give them a 4.5 star. Note to mgmt. "Take care of your customers and they will take care of you." Jae

So flavorful, you can have it mild or super spicy. Lots of healthy options, just by the nature of the cuisine. Probably going to order there tonight.

The food was delicious though the portions were a bit small for the price. The staff was attentive and friendly. There's ample parking and outdoor patio dining.

If you're looking for reasonably priced Thai food in South Pasadena, then this is a good spot. Patakan used to be an Old Town and they moved to this location years ago and parking is actually much easier. Flavors are authentic but not the best I've had. Again, value is the play here and the staff is pretty nice.

Our favorite Thai restaurant in Pasadena. They are always friendly and let us sit on the patio with our dog. The food is ALWAYS so delicious. The only thing that is irritating about this place are the TVs inside. It kinda ruins the whole dining experience.

Staff are attentive, friendly and accomodating. Restaurant is clean, well lit and has a good vibe in it. Food is prepared in a timely manner and taste good, as well. It has about 3 or 4 outside tables if you want to dine outside. There is adequate parking space and restroom is relatively clean.

I had gai koowha noodles and they were absolutely wonderful.

Waited more than 30 minutes for delivery when literally on the same street. Was given estimation of 15 minutes and only to get a bland meal! Very disappointed especially for this area

This is our go to Thai place in the nearby area. It's easy, has a great taste. We usually order delivery, but decided to go in once. Place is a bit small, crowded with working types at lunch time.

Decent thai food for the area. Their food is a lot more sweet than spicy and cater to the typical American customer. The thai boat didn't taste anything like most authentic thai restaurant. The Service here is decent.

Nice atmosphere

This is a small place in the far corner of a strip mall. If you look fast, you may miss it but once you find it, you are in for a treat. The food was great tasting and fresh. The one thing I am most impressed with is the Thai Tea... unlike many other places I had it, theirs has just the right amount of sugar. No need to drink a gallon of water after.

They take to long and they add ice to there rootbeer floats and when you try to put the straw in to slapshes everywhere. Not the best place.

We come here all the time and tried ordering for delivery. Ordered $17 worth of food and refused to deliver unless I upped it to $19 (a very arbitrary minimum that is not noted on their website). They were willing to lose the order over this. Disappointing.

Food is always very good, never had a bad meal. I use the delivery service and they are by far the most timely and best tasting Thai in Pasadena, South Pas, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, and Alhambra. I recommend it!

Great thai food, great prices (specially their lunch menu) Pad Thai and Chicken Satay are my favorites.
