Very Friendly Atmosphere. The level of spice I asked for is just right amount. I love the taste of my Pad Thai and the noodles is cooked perfectly, its not soggy nor too firm.
I love the thai tea with boba as well, it is on the bigger portion but it tastes great! It’s not too sweet not too bland and the boba is very soft not harden or sits there for too long, you can tell it was made fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Stopped by after my training course for dinner. Dine in wasn't too busy so we were seated pretty much immediately.
We ordered the angel wings, papaya salad, beef noodle soup, pineapple fried rice & mango sticky rice.
Angel wings was a bit on the salty side. It's marinated in tamarind sauce but tasted like it was overwhelmed with fish sauce. We tried to balance out the flavor with the papaya salad but it was a bit too salty for us. They were nice enough to not charge us for it.
Papaya salad was fresh & flavorful. Not over or under seasoned. Huge serving. 10/10.
The beef noodle soup is pretty much like the traditional thai boat noodle soup minus the pork/beef blood. Perfectly flavored. 10/10.
The pineapple fried rice is a definite must have. It was cooked & flavored to perfection. 10/10
We were too full by the time the mango sticky rice came out, so we took it to-go.
Service was 10/10. Servers were very attentive and friendly.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you're craving Thai food when you're in San Marcos.
Absolute best Thai in the area. Authentic, fresh, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Loved finding this place!
The pad thai was VERY authentic to the restaurant’s area of Thailand! The panang curry had delicious flavor, presently beautifully and a very generous portion. Gluten Free friendly!!
Definitely get the thai iced tea— every place is different, but this was perfection!!!
Atmosphere is tough too but this was quite pleasant. We also noticed a huge number of take out orders being picked up so it definitely seems to be a local favorite!
Highly, highly recommend!
Great Thai restaurant serving authentic Thai food. I got the chicken green curry and it was perfect. The consistency of the curry coats the rice well and they really don't shy out on coconut milk. I also got the sticky rice with mango on the side and although it was pretty average I do like how much mango they put in there. I definitely am interested in coming back and trying out more of their offerings.
I had Tom Ka Soup! Loved it!
This place is right down the street from me so super easy to order on line and pick up 10-15 minutes later. Love the pad Thai, pot stickers and wonton soup. So good!
Definitely the best Thai food I’ve had in the San Diego area ! Chicken pad thai is my favorite
Comida tailandesa muito saborosa e, naturalmente, picante (é possível definir o quão picante se deseja). Os pratos são enormes, daria pra dividir. Lunch set tem entradinhas de sopa e rolinhos fritos.
Delicious and great value. Huge portions. We really loved lunch.
I ordered take out. I'm disappointed, I ordered pad Thai and it literally has no flavor. I also ordered green curry, it's ok, the spring rolls are ok also. It's such a bummer, there seems to be no good thai food in San Marcos. I did door dash so it was $100 for mediocre food. I hate to leave a less than stelar review but it's just not worth the money.
pretty quick service, good food in large portions for reasonable prices!
Tried their Salmon Panang Curry and Calameri.
I'm really disappointed. I never leave bad reviews but we ordered green curry and yellow curry and both were so salty I couldn't eat either. Calamari was greasy and cold, we only live 5 minutes from the restaurant and picked up on time.
I was really looking forward to it, based on the reviews. ☹️
Great food. Service is always great. Even with a shellfish allergy, never had a problem with the food or service here.
Great surprise!!!
And yes, they were open on friday!
Spicy fried rice is amazing here. Clean establishment. Quick service. Food is fresh.
Best Thai food and Thai Tea in San Diego!!! Great lunch specials! Such sweet and consistent service 💕 beautiful atmosphere! I love this place!
The best!
Love this place! Food is great. Large portions and beautiful presentation!
What's up with this place?? Did they change owners?
This was our go to Thai place and will no longer be. Our last visit was a BIG disappointment. We specifically said no spice on the noodle dish and it still came out spicy due to the large amount of pepper that was very visible on the noondles. The pepper completely crapped out the dish. The waiter (dude with pony tail) wasn't responsive and had a very snobby attitude. I won't say more about the other dish since that we're not coming back.
If you do go, you should ask about the owner if there was a change.
-edit-
After reading some of the previous reviews, they did change management and it shows. All downhill pun intended (the place sits on a hill)
Good fairly priced food.
Takeout-wife called it in, I picked it up-back home she opens the bag and says “where’s the rice? She calls the restaurant and makes me go back! The woman tells me- “no rice- that’s impossible I packed it myself”. She huffs, gets the rice ($55 order) and as she gives it to me she says “next time I want to see the bag”- implying I was ripping her off for 3 lousy little rice boxes. Never going back.
A great experience! Food was amazing as well as the thai tea boba. Everything was prices well and the service was great! Truly loved the place and will be a usual stop going foward.
Best!👍🔥🔥🔥
Amazing taste, they do an intensity level of hot from 2-10 (4-10 being hot). The service definitely unmatched I felt extremely well served, everytime with a smile and great attitude. Will be coming back! Got that Duck curry fyi.
Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. Will definitely go back again.
Food is fantastic and unique atmospher! I've gone here a couple times and have gotten different curries. Some of the best thai food in SD and certainly the best in San Marcos.
Chokun No.1 of waiter. He's very very cute. I hope he's happy everyday. I can't wait to see him.✌️😍😍😍
Food was absolutely delicious. Everything we got was flavored wonderfully. The person taking our order said anything over a spicy 3 was extremely spicy, after tasting what we all ordered, the spice level is dish specific. I like spicy and a 3 was nothing. Next time I will probably get a 5.
We went for a friend's birthday and the staff was very sweet and accommodating. Cute, intimate seating made for the perfect dinner.
I love Thai food this is the best place in the area
Very good. Tom yum and beef noddles is a must
good option for Thai food in the area better than so many others plus the portion sizes are generous
We eat Thai cuisine quite a bit and this place ranks among the best! The menu offers a large variety of traditional Thai dishes - our favorite is Kao Soi but there are so many other wonderful options. Service is excellent and the food is memorable. Will return again and again.
Really good food and friendly people!
Went there last night for the 4th time and I continue to be impressed. My friend and I shared a sampler appetizer and I had an entree of Mussaman curry with chicken. It was so flavorful and as I can't handle heavy spice, the kitchen has always been able to appease my pallet. The portions are generous (brought a large portion home), the service was great, and Dorie, who was one of our two servers, was very knowledgeable and fun to talk with. I went there once with my vegan son and he said his mock duck was excellently prepared and he wants to go back again when he's on spring break. I live in RB and will happily make the short trek to San Marcos for this small but vibrant gem!
Used to be a good restaurant but from fast three orders to go orders have been super bad. Last one all the veggies were uncooked. Unless you are dining in do not go.
Under new management!!! They may need more time. Order taking a little sketchy. Food a bit more oily on top strange.
I went for lunch today, and I noticed they had new staff. I ordered the shrimp fresh rolls and ka soy beef soup. I have had both before there. However, this time, my soup lacked broth, and the beef was an odd mix of beef parts that were fatty and disgusting. One piece looked like a fat worm or caterpillar, and that was all I needed. The quality was poor, and I felt as if they just threw leftover meat pieces. I should have said something and sent it back. I was over the place and just wanted to leave. I needed getting bubble guts about 2 hours later, and this was the only thing I had eaten this Saturday. Definitely will not be returning. This place has gone thru 3 owners and keeps going downhill.
Food here is way too salty.
Stopped in for dinner for the first time, but being familiar with their Fallbrook location, I had high expectations
The food was quite good. Definitely not as spicy as their Fallbrook recipes. The ambience is nice and there’s a decent amount of indoor seating. Parking lot is from hell.
The Tom Kha was tasty, and the pot size was a great value.
My Pad See Ewe was tasty but definitely had more veggies and less meat and noodles than I would have liked. Kai Kua was perfect.
Service was slow and inconsistent. One of our entrees came out a full 20 minutes before the second. We ended up having two servers switch off, which was odd. Dinner service manager Pat is always very friendly and welcoming and a treat to see.
Delicious lunch, it was our first time there, recommended by a friend. I order a lunch special. Lots of food. I got a #4 and it was a bit too spicy.
I use to love them but they don't know how to handle the heat of their spices.I ordered a 3-10.It was so hot had to throw it away.Had to find another place.
Some of the best Thai food in San Diego
WOWZER!! Great, no, superb food! They have a great lunch special with good portions.
Tried this place for the first time over the weekend. The order was timely and the staff was wonderful. The curry tasted wonderful and the calamari was seriously impressive. It wasn't dry and was very succulent. The tofu was wonderful as well. We also tried the chicken satay.
Only suggestion I would has is that the veggies in my yellow curry were raw. Potatoes and onions weren't all the way cooked through.
First time on New Years eve and the food was delicious and service was great on one of the busiest nights of the year!
Ordered spicy noodles from Thai Thai restaurant but unfortunately it was cold, not tasty and mushy. Taste and quality definitely not justifying the high prices.
Ya'll. Periodt! This place is FIRE! Tried their yellow curry, Thai shrimp fried rice, shrimp chow mein, and red curry. Delicious!!!! Food is cooked fresh, establishment is small but clean and cute. (I may or may have not gone twice already this week 😬). Oopsie, no photo cause I scarfed it down already. 🤣 Don't slack, try it today!
My family and I have always enjoyed this restaurant. They have a family feel and although their staff changes often they have always been friendly. Sadly, after last night we will not be returning.
My wife ordered me a dish to take home (pla la prik, fish dish) which is what I have pictured. It looked completely different than usual and has a weird "gravy" consistency. After eating a little, I didn't feel great so put it aside. 30 minutes later I have unbelievable stomach pain and begin vomiting.
I called the next day after I was feeling better and got no sympathy.
The staff are great but ownership needs to understand that when they make a mistake they should fix it. Not offering some soup.
We left a 25% tip because we always enjoy the service here. We have eaten here 8 times in the past 18 months and we had planned to keep coming. We have brought friends and recommended it to many others Too bad the ownership is so bad because we will not be returning or recommending anymore.
Truly disappointed. And sorry for the staff, because they are wonderful. We'll be finding a new Thai restaurant to frequent.
Stopped by after my training course for dinner. Dine in wasn't too busy so we were seated pretty much immediately.
We ordered the angel wings, papaya salad, beef noodle soup, pineapple fried rice & mango sticky rice.

Service was 10/10. Servers were very attentive and friendly.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you're craving Thai food when you're in San Marcos.
The beef in the beef salad was extremely chewy and difficult to swallow. I had to discard many pieces. The soups were good and my wife enjoyed her curry very much.
Feels a little cramped, but the service is always great. Food is not bad, but not the best. Worth checking out if you want to try Thai food.
I ordered the spicy fried rice (combo meats) and the spicy noodles with shrimp. Both were delicious. We had an early dinner around 4pm so it was a nice quite atmosphere for catching up with friends.
Won Ton Soup was XLNT. I will return. Close to Kaiser.
Amazing food!
The absolute best Thai food my husband and I have had! The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so kind and always smiling. Can truly feel the love infused in this food!
One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to it's amazing... The food is incredible, highly recommended
Food is legit. Great customer service. Friendly and hospitable. Decor is unique. Lots of printer paper signs all over. They'll bring you a big bottle of beer if you don't specify 12oz or 24oz. Win?
The owner was so kind and didn't mind making adjustments to the dishes we ordered. Great place for lunch!
Best Thai food I've ever tasted... anywhere. I can't wait to come back again next time I'm in the area.
Incredible, real Thai food! This was the best I’ve found in the area. Staff was so kind and attentive, love this place
ordered the duck curry .... this place is great best Thai in north county
Stopped in this little gem today. I had a vegan papaya salad, fresh rolls with tofu and green curry. To make it hard for everyone, I have a peanut allergy. They were amazing. Excellent customer service, great food and good prices. 👍
Ordered Crab fried rice and Pad Thai to-go from here. Worst crab fried rice I ever had in my life.
Great food, great service 👍
Food are good as it look . Very nice restaurant with delicious Thai food.
Yummy food, good service, decent place
We have been going to Thai Thai Restaurant for years first at their Fallbrook branch and then in their Vista branch when they opened. When Thon's crew moved to open the Oceanside branch we followed and now here in San Marcos.
We love all kinds of food and often try new Restaurants but Thai Thai is the best Thai food we've been to in both customer service and taste. Over the years we've probably tried every dish in their menu and have no real complaints. Of course we have our favorites like Pineapple Fried Rice, Papaya Salad, Shrimp Fresh Spring Rolls, Mussaman Curry, Tom Kha Soup, and Tiger Cry Steak. All the dishes have options of proteins or vegetarian and spicy levels from 0-10. I'm a wimp so 0 or 1 is my usual option while my son & hubby goes for 3-5. This is authentic Thai food so watch your spice level choice. The highest anyone of our friends and family has ever tried is an 8 (that was our first time ever) and no one in our group has gone that high since (hahahah). They have an excellent lunch menu that includes soup, Cucumber salad, and appetizers plus your choice of rice and main dish. They do serve beer, wine, and other beverages. I wish they served spiked Thai tea or spiked Thai Coffee (hahahaha).
Overall, the price is about average, the variety of choices is superb, the ambiance is relaxing, the service is friendly & fast, and I would rate the food a 4.7 out of 5. I recommend you try Thai Thai Restaurant in San Marcos.
Same as Thailand for who want to experience I suggest to come here and give it a try.
Absolute best Thai in the area. Authentic, fresh, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Loved finding this place!

Highly, highly recommend!
I have Sharing my experience with my friends and family.👍👍👍
The Phad Thai was a minimal effort, uninspired dish; little more than spaghetti in a weak sauce.
Food excellent and reasonable pricing. Service quick and friendly. Tables a bit close together but it's a small space.
Excellent variety of Thai food items. Very tasty and close to my apartment.
The best place in San Marcos ca, I would say all in north county.
the food is great and service is fast. if you dine in its a great place to sit and relax with family and friends . it feels like you are in Thailand. I recommend it to everyone. if you have not had Thai food let this place be your first experience in Thai.
remember there's different levels of heat ask for the chili sauce on the side if you don't like your food spicy!
ENJOY!
The TomKa coconut soup was amazing.
Great food, great service! Highly recommend.
Food is so delicious and I like the ambience. 👍 👌
THE BEST!! Great food and great service 👍
Wow love the food great service neat and clean
Good food (pineapple curry and spring rolls), reasonable price and friendly staff. Worth checking out.
Had the Thai fried rice, was excellent well seasoned. Just a little spice. Texture was excellent. Also had the Thai ice tea. Sweet and delicious. Will go again! Service was good too.
Good service. Friendly. Clean. Food is super. They make sure you cared for. Atmosphere is good. They will make you think your in a nice place in Bangkok. Always enjoy it.
Nice surprise to have a restaurant with such flavor and attention to detail in the presentation it that location
They shouldn't take online orders if they can't keep up with the demands!
Shrimp and asparagus is delicious
Good Thai options if you're ever in the San Marcos area.
Great food and super sweet staff!
Excellent food. Beautiful atmosphere. But, the staff, who were super friendly and nice, needs to get the pricing correction and learn to speak to customers in a language they can understand. I would love to see this restaurant succeed and return when they are more experienced.
Ok Thai place...had better Thai food in San Diego.
Deceptive business practices. The place USED to be good, but their management changed. They ask things like if you want vegetables after you make your choice of meat but then add extra for both the meat and veggies in EVERY entree. They also ask "big" for main curry items yet the menu doesn't indicate prices for "big" but it was added to the bill. The entrees were NOT big at all, in fact the same or smaller than other restaurants that don't even have a size difference. My family felt scammed after. Also the new wait staff do not speak any English and struggle with basic tasks like where to place items. The food is much worse than it was with the previous owners (which was excellent) although it is not bad. We will not be going back especially given the great choices of other restaurants nearby.
Excellent food and ....bring your own bottle - a rare treat in a restaurant
My husband and I dined here and the food was amazing. I was a little concerned as they sell different beef meatballs but they were great on my Noodle soup. Husband ordered fried rice with shrimp and duck they were both tasty and fresh. We had a House tea and it was delicious as well and great size.
Best coconut soup around. Everything is really delicious.
First time customers, my wife and I decided to have lunch there since we were shopping nearby. Atmosphere was quaintly cute, half full but not crowded. My wife ordered her usual chicken pad thai. I however I mixed it up a little and opted for the honey glazed roasted duck with jasmine rice. Delish. Food came out quickly after we finished with our spring rolls. Fifty bucks before tip was reasonable for the amount of good food we had.
I used the Google Reservation service to reserve our table because after reading the reviews for their lunch, I assumed they would have a full house and I was right. The person who greeted my friend and I escorted us to our table and was very friendly. Our waitress was very helpful with information regarding the menu items ,which we appreciated since it was our first time at this venue. Most importantly the food was simply amazing ! We shared (and thank goodness we did since it was such a large serving for each dish) the sampler for the appetizer, the coconut soup, and the pineapple fried rice. You have an option of spice level on all dishes which we choose level 1since neither of us like spicy food. Definitely going back! It's a great place to catch up with friends because it's relatively small but nicely decorated and they don't rush you. I hope this helps.
Great prices and food
Some of the best Thai food! Their lunch specials can’t be beat. You get a small cup of soup, an egg roll, a dumpling, and some cucumbers in a sweet sauce.
The spicy basil noodles, broccoli in oyster sauce, and cashew chicken are all amazing!
The best Thai restaurant in north county. Amazing food and staff.
Great taste, and generous amount. We've ordered a couple of curries, fried rice, and spicy eggplant and every dish was a bit! They are friendly and food was ready and hot when we got there to pick up. Highly recommended!
Pretty good!
Apparently they don't answer thier phone. Shame. Food looked good.
A+ flavors! Excellent service, nice decor. Large portions, reasonably priced. Green curry was packed with various vegetables. Panang curry also packed with veggies, the sauce was a little thinner than we are used to, but yummy. Spicy basil didn't have that much basil, but again was fresh vegilicious. Cashew nut salty and sweet, fantastic. The brown rice here is really more like red/purple heirloom rice, it's unusual and nutty if you want something different.
If you are in the area, you must stop here! The Lunch special comes with a starter of vegetarian soup, a pot sticker, a spring roll, cucumber salad and an orange slice. I could have happily stopped there. Lunch included a well known Thai dish with your choice of meat. I went with panang curry with duck. (So freaking good). Feeling saucy? They do pinapple fried rice, served in an actual pinapple. (I'm easily excitable) the service was beyond what I would call great. Very friendly snd attentive. We were a group of 4 and they happily offered to split our checks. We would have paid as one, but she said not needed. They even took our leftovers and bagged them up for us. I cannot tell you how happy I was with this experience!!
So yummy! Super spicy though! If your usual number is 7, order 4 or something! Once we ordered 7, and tears were coming down as we were eating! And my husband and I both love spicy food, so this was a first!
Delicious Thai food! Great service! Nice ambiance! My son and I stopped by for lunch. We shared a plate of spring rolls and satay chicken as an appetizer. For the main course he had his favorite chicken fried rice and I tried the ginger chicken. Everything was very tasty!
Best thai food!
Great service, good prices and many locations.
Try this place for the 1st time and order the Thai fried rice and eggrolls. The rice was crunchy… like it was not even fully cooked. Basically had to throw the entire dish away. The egg rolls were mushy on the inside gross. Disappointed 😞
I would give them more stars if not for the salt and sugar. I think they need to lessen the use of sugar and salt. The peanut sauce was way too sweet and hardly any travel of peanut butter. The Ginger dish could have been better if they used less salt. It was too salty that my tongue didn't feel good after eating this dish. 😞
Very good food 😁
LOVE the Red Curry! Their Thai teas are huge and incredible we’ll prices for the size. This place is new and we’re excited to have a dependable place for Thai cuisine. The staff have always been incredibly nice and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend.
Amazing food! Great service.
I ordered the kao soy today, first time ordering from this restaurant.
AMAZING!! Generous portion size, and amazing flavor!! so so good.... my new go to Thai restaurant in the area.
I really like doing this but the front lady older lady was rude… besides being rude I found 2 hairs one on the pai thai and on the fried rice. Orange chicken was burnt and hard.
You have got to try this NEW "Thai Thai" restaurant!! My wife and I are "Foodies" and we both have extensive histories in the food industry. We were impressed with EVERYTHING on our first visit to this impeccable future star! This is a modern, well designed eatery, full of light and color with its lavender chairs and accents. The thick menu comes at you bold, bright and chock full of any kind of Thai delight you can think of.....and at reasonable price points, as well! The service is the typical Asian respectfulness and efficiency that we all crave, and the food was uber tasty, served piping hot and with a lot of grateful smiles! It's a clear winner, so don't miss it! Surely, a cut above the ordinary!
Very sub-par food. Pad Thai lacked flavor, and tofu was soggy. The shrimp spring rolls were brutally overpriced at $15 for four, and they tasted horrible. Tiny amounts of shrimp with huge pieces of lettuce and cucumber with a gross cinnamon tasting sauce. Couldn't even eat half of one, had to throw the dish away. Also be warned, food was improperly packed so after short drive home we had to fish the food out of a bag full of sauce. Just a disappointing experience for a pretty pricey bill.
Hands down thee best Thai in North County SD. The flavors are unreal! Great portions, quality, customer service and reasonably priced. I look forward to the Panang Salmon dish and it’s consistently good every time! Thai tea is generously served and also the best tasting! Big plus! They get all my spicy Thai cravings business!
First time here. We absolutely loved it. Had the Panang Curry, Pad See Ew with shrimp, and cashew chicken. Everything was great. The mango sticky rice was amazing as well.
Decided to give this place a try and WOW what a fantastic place! The service is great and everything we ordered was awesome. Very authentic food and good size portions. If you are in the area definitely give this place a try, it will become your new favorite Thai restaurant
Yummy!!! If you like Thai you will LOVE Thai Thai!
