Easy way to know you've had good food: entire party of 8 said so! Yellow and green curry dishes spiced just right. Pad Thai great flavor without being too sheet. Made vegan dishes with smile. I had the spicy scallop with basil. Excellent. Soft scallop crunchy veggies!
Will return when in SLO!
Thai Palace is hands down one of my favorite spots for Thai food! Their Tom Kha Soup is phenomenal – easily the best I’ve ever had. The flavors are rich, balanced, and unforgettable. We also love their Chicken Satay – always tender and paired with a delicious peanut sauce.
The flavors at Thai Palace are fresh, authentic, and consistently amazing. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, it’s always a fantastic experience. I can’t recommend this gem in SLO enough!
Food:4/5
Ambiance:5/5
I went to this place after 2 of our friends recommended it. My order is as shown in pictures:
Pad Thai
Golden bags
Crispy rice lettuce wrap
Thai iced tea
All the starters were good. I can highly recommend the golden bags. Perfect combination of crispy from the outside and mushy from the inside. It is filled with sweet potato 🍠 smashed if I’m not wrong. I kinda liked the lettuce 🥬 wrap but my wife loved it so it depends on person to person. Iced tea is a delight and can go with any dish.
Pad Thai noodles 🍝 was not out of the world but it was good enough. Only complaint I had was regarding service. Starters and main course came at the same time so by the time we were done with the starters, main course was kind of cold. And secondly waiter didn’t ask us the spice level and we could’ve went for a bit spicy noodles.
Overall you can enjoy nicely if you are craving for a Thai food 🥘.
Unfortunately, I am a big fan of Thai cuisine, but it was unexpected to have this in Thai restaurant. The food has a lot of sugar and was served cold, and took forever to get there on the table. The sizes and portions of the meal are very small, compared to the paid amount. The Waiters are not friendly and welcoming.
You can have Thai, Laotian, and Vietnamese foods here. I ordered fried rice with pork and my husband ordered a beef salad and a side order of roasted pork. The rice should have been “fried” a bit more, the pork in fried rice was chewy, and the flavor was a bit sweet for my taste. The beef salad was good and the roasted pork was very crispy.
Service was good! The restaurant is located inside a mall. Very comfortable ambience.
Great service. Great atmosphere. Not the best curry I've ever had, though. I'd still recommend as a nice place for dinner

Family was looking for good food and stumbled upon this spot! At first was nervous my first time but food is delicious!

Food is unbreakable at best with some strange unwelcome deviations from well known recipes. Service is not any better. We were served the wrong dish twice. Till we finally run out of time. One has to wonder where these five star reviews came from.
The curries are sooo good. If you're looking for a warm dish on a cold night, this is the place.
Best Thai around, also the owner is an amazing person and always brings kindness and hospitality to every visit. Love Thai palace
The appetizers were amazing but.... everything else was horrid. Sweet chili basil chicken tastes like ketchup. Yes overwhelmingly. And the pad see ew we adder chicken, the veggies were previously frozen and steamed separately so frostbite was their flavor.
I've been here before and this was very bad. We paid full priced.
Cozy, great service, might be the best thai food I had and there s plenty left to take it to go.
Will come back.
I ate a Pad Thai with a friend here. It was really good. And the plate was really full. I recommend!
Lecker, frisch und ohne Glutamat. Habe selten in Thai Restaurants gegessen, in denen ohne Glutamat und wirklich frisch (keine Fertigprodukte)gekocht wird. So lecker 😋
Satay was great. Papaya salad was REALLY good. I was very impressed, and I'll be going back here again.

The pineapple fries rice comes in a pineapple half! Tastes amazing and the lycee rose mocktail was everything I wanted.
My favorite Thai restaurant in town. Get the Tom Kha soup + Crispy Basil Chicken— you won’t be disappointed!
Every single dish was delicious. The sauces are amazing. Try the duck! You won't be disappointed.
Good food!
Atendente super atenciosa que fala português! Loved it!
Food was amazing and service is top notch
We popped into Thai Palace on a weekday afternoon recently. We ordered the sampler for an appetizer, it was fantastic. I highly recommend the Pad Woon Sen with chicken. We will definitely come here again!
Pad Thai and mango sticky rice are both some of the better renditions I have ever had. Service is kind and efficient. Will come back!
Hands down the BEST Thai food I have ever had! I have eaten at this restaurant many time as well as ordered food to go and have never been disappointed. They always get my order right, it is on-time, and the quality of the ingredients/flavor profile is unmatched!! I highly recommend the Pad Eggplant, it is the most flavorful delicious dish, and whenever I order it everyone else at the table tries it and whishes they had. Thanks Thai Palace for always having amazing food!!!
On a road trip and decided to take a break and decided to have some Thai food. I decided to come here and it was the best choice I could’ve made. They were even nice enough to give us a free coffee!
Don't let the construction on the exterior fool you. This restaurant has an incredible atmosphere with very nice service and food that never disappoints. I recommend beef stew!
Very pushy to get your order, in and out as fast as they can is how they made us feel
It was too dark. They charged extra fee for credit payment. The quality of food is so so but expensive.
Worst service possible. Wouldn't recommend it for vegetarians.
Despite telling them to make complete vegetarian food, they brought dish with egg in it, on top of that manager failed to acknowledge this. I won’t suggest this atleast for vegetarians.
Really tasty Thai food. We had pad eggplant itch tofu and pumpkin curry with mixed veggies. Both were excellent, will def go back
Finding parking is worth it! Pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles were delicious! Highly recommend.
The yellow curry is the best I've had so far. Hidden gem. I'll definitely go back
I had the grilled pork shoulder special! Delicious!
Very nice team and nice atmosphere and location!
It's been years since I've been here and had my terrible experience. Yet I still think about it often. Hope the management and staff got their heads on straight by now.
Green curry is full of vegetables very delicious
The food was bland. Even the chili sauce barely had any heat.
Best Tom Kha I've ever had!
We ordered a Grilled Salmon In Banana Leaves and Beef Noodle Soup. The food is amazing and the service is top-notch. Thank you again for your hospitality.
One of the best authentic Thai food in SLO and probably Socal.
Literally… cream cheese wontons 🔥 hands down one of THE BEST restaurants in slo
People, people, people... Staff is very friendly and the food is decent. We went with kids and they were very flexible and we all enjoyed the place. It was our 2nd time and they have lots of options. The rice was excellent and the chicken skewers were very tasty. Not my favorite Thai food in town, but if you are around and crave some Thai flavor this will not dissapoint.
Pretty decent Thai. One of the better places in San Luis
Friendly service and delicious food
I had the green curry and it was perfection!! Lovely service and a cute location.
Best wonton soup I have ever had!!
Where do I start?! Thai Palace has been my wife and my favorite restaurant for well over a decade. The food is always delicious, Tee-Tee (the owner) is always friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is well decorated. Each dish that I have tried is a culinary delight and we are nicer disappointed. We’ve been there for birthdays, anniversaries, and any other excuse we can come up with to visit! Tee-tee, keep up the good work my friend!
Amazing Food! Pad Thai and Crispy Basil Chicken are a must. Great Service. Best Thai in SLO!
I forgot to take photos first!! I was so excited to eat all the delicious food. We ordered the coconut soup with tofu and vegetables. It came flaming hot and was sooo good! They don’t skimp on adding lots of fresh vegetables. We ordered the ginger noodles (pictured after plated). So yummy. We also had some veggie rolls that were fried with glass noodles and sweet sauce. Sorry, I forgot the specific names of the dishes. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend. ❤️
Just Woow, great Thai food
Wonderful staff and atmosphere
Delicious. Quiet. Lots of space.
Great at accommodating food allergies & issues (have vegetarian options, gluten free options, can make dishes with no fish sauce, etc).
Very yummy.
I only got 1 pic of a partial plate because everyone dug in so fast and gobbled up every drop of food.
Food was traditional and good. Ambience and decor was comfortable and well done. Service was excellent and friendly. The fresh rolls were delicious. Prices were average and portions just right.
Best Thai food in SLO and they do a great job with gluten-free orders. We love the green curry!!
The food and service was wonderful. Titi was able to accommodate a large party for me and it was excellent! The staff was splendid!
Amazing food amazing service.
Quality food and nice decor.
You can have Thai, Laotian, and Vietnamese foods here. I ordered fried rice with pork and my husband ordered a beef salad and a side order of roasted pork. Wonderful service. Authentic cuisine.
One of the best Thai places in SLO county. Food and service are impeccable.
Always so good! We got our all time favorite Beef Massaman Curry!
Food was amazing. Wait time wasent that long. A bit loud and crowded.
Nice food. Small friendly Thai.
Delicious curries and fast service at good prices! My party of 2 was seated right away when we walked in on a Saturday night, and after ordering, our food was served in less than 10 minutes. Don't worry, there's lots of time to peruse the menu, and just as much to talk after the meal. The interior has a buzz of conversation and is nicely appointed with good lighting, and there's patio seating with heaters too. The dishes are just the right size, and they have tons of meat and veggies. They talked me out of getting the extra spicy option when I went a second time, but the spicy option was what "mild" should be and the "medium" option seems identical to "mild". Expect $21/person after tip (add more for fancier meat options, drinks, or appetizers).
This restaurant is now one of my favorites. Very good food, big portions and great flavors! Also the server was so kind and gentle. Highly recommend it. We'll be back soon.
The food here is always delicious l, perfect for a date night as well
The Thai Iced Tea was delicious, highly recommend!
Food and service overall was great 👍
Authentic
Quickly seated with no reservations and it also didn't take long for the food to be served. The drunken noodles we ordered were also great.
Bold flavors. Top new favorite in SLO. A++
Love Thai Palace!!
Food is fantastic. Prices are good.
Great service, both eat in and dine out.
Favorite Thai in SLO
The drunken noodles cooked just right!
Excellent service, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.
Always great service and great tasting food. My go to lunch spot for Thai.
Restaurant is located In downtown SLO so very little town with a few main streets with restaurants, bars and shops. Since I was on a business trip it was dinner for 1 and got. table quickly. Food was really tasty but service was not the best. They were very busy so I tried to be a little more understanding.
Pad see ew was really tasty and nice sized portions. I ordered it with shrimp and they were pretty generous. Also ordered the cream cheese wontons as an appetizer probably the best ones I’ve had in awhile. They were crispy not oily and had a good amount of filling
Worst meal ever! It's a shame because they used to be my favorite in town. Not only was the food not good, some of the dishes were also VERY strange - who puts quartered chucks of tomato in Fried Rice!
Service-wise, other oddities include the server firmly arguing that all tofu has wheat in it (we're long time gluten-free so know that's not the case, but he insisted we not order any tofu dishes). Then when trying to leave, it took four attempts before they reluctantly gave me too few to-go boxes for my meager leftovers. Those four staff then hovered at the table watching me box things up, not lifting a finger to help even when I asked.
It's quite a sad day indeed when I'd be 100 times happier with something from the freezer isle than to visit Thai Palace again!
Amazing service and food.
Nice atmosphere, delicious food!
Fantastic food at reasonable prices, with a good sized menu. Very accommodating alongside stellar customer service.
I totally recommend the restaurant! I'm not joking when I say that every item on the menu looks worth trying! Sticky rice with mangos, yum!
Absolutely amazing food. very quick service. a bit of a wait.
Curry was good
Food was quite bland. Ambience and service were very good. Quality of food was good but not flavourful.
Ok Thai food.
The food at Thai Palace was delicious and the items on the menu appealed to everyone in our party (spanning over all ages). Many vegetarian options, and all were delicious 👏
Yummmmm. Everytime I go to SLO I have to stop here for yummy Thai food.
The food was delicious and staff were nice, however, they add 15-20% gratuity by default to your bill !
I usually add 20% as tip but don't like to be dictated to do so, which I consider to be very rude!
Was alright. Black pepper sauce soba noodles lacked flavor depth and any pepper taste. Some “umami” taste from soy sauce or oyster sauce but also expensive for serving size, vegetables were cooked to a good texture but still sort of bland in tastes. I expected something with more spice, depth, and layering of flavors.
One of the best Thai restaurants that I've been to. They
Expensive but really good.
Really good food
Really poor service
The food took half an hour
The taste was amazing
Great service and food was good. Can pass on the calamari appetizer.
So flavorful and fresh. Excellent food.
It wasn't bad at all. A little pricier than most Thai places. The atmosphere was awesome. The food was good but portions were kinda small. The workers wore nice traditional style clothes so that was cool. Would I go back? Maybe.
Amazing food and service!
Very tasty vegetarian options and great service
The sad part of this restaurant is if you order and didn't like they will not return or make it better but charge you. Employees are polite but the owner is very cold and present!
Great great Thai tea! The Thai platter is so yum. Coconut soup is tasty too. Entree is not that amazed as the starter, but still good. I should still go with curry…
Wow!!! The food was great and the customer service was fantastic! I can’t wait to dine again!
This place is the real deal. Arguably the best curry I've ever had. Super nice, very personable family place - none of the corporate bs. This is a place that makes you proud to patronize.
I repeatedly have had cravings for this place ever since I went. The chicken Drunken Noodles are something spoken about in legends only. A must eat for all those die-hard Thai food fanatics visiting SLO!
Really good food, a lot for your money, leftovers for the next day, the curry was hot, but oh so good! Great service, nice to go out again!
Their Tom kha soup is legit. They serve the classic thai appetizers and yummy entrees. If you're out for stroll downtown stop in and try something on their menu, staff is super friendly and the place has a chill vibe.
Nice size portions, taste was predictable. We ate outside (evening), way too chilly to be enjoyable.
Very good food and we definitely come back♥️
The host told me that there was a 25min wait. I waited an Hour & 10mins to be seated. There was only one man catering to all the tables (Only outdoor dining allowed). Eventually two tables became available but both tables weren't cleaned and still had dirty dishes from the previous customers. Those dirty tables sat there for 20 mins. I saw 3 groups of people who just left because it took too long. The store was busy but could have been managed better if they had an extra hand helping with dine ins. The focus was more towards Door Dash and not the dine ins at all. 3 stars because the food was good and they were nice.
Very personable, we dined outside , which it is a beautiful day for it. I had Panang Chicken Curry which was amazing flavors. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Fresh food & great service
I both eat and delivery from here. The best Thai in the county and some of the best customer service in town. Easy to order from and work with. Food is always ready in a timely manner but never rushed. You can tell there's heart and soul in it.
Tonight I had the Sweet Chili Scallops and they were delicious.
Wonderful staff..awesome food
1000% delicious and never disappointing!! The Thai tea is my favorite item and you cannot go wrong with the pineapple fried rice! This place is the best little gem in SLO
Service a little slow and the food was average
Excellent food and great service
Decent thai food but everything was too sweet. Papaya salad and tom kha both had a ton of sugar added.
Great food and service!
Really good scallops! The Thai coffee is a must have!
