Neighborhood eatery that's been dispensing classic Thai dishes in cozy surroundings since 1987.
Quiet place on Folsom with friendly staff and delicious food. We had the lunch combos with Tom kai gai soup, 2 items and fried rice. I had chicken satay and imperial rolls. She had beef in basil sauce and beef curry. We both had Thai iced tea. Good portions, quick service (especially on water refills) and great presentation and taste. Quite a good meal. Definitely recommend.
as it was but it's a good location to take coworkers or stop for lunch as I did.
The inside had plenty of space and Staff was professional and attentive. The prices were fair and the plates took about 10 minutes to come out.
The food was better than expected and may be my new Thai restaurant.
Solid lunch specials (small bowl of coconut chicken soup, rice, and your choice of two main dishes for $19 after tax) in a historic family-owned space, with great service and a welcoming atmosphere. Authentic dishes - you can even get some chili-infused fish sauce if you want to add a little bit of zest to your plate.
The first time I went there I asked one of my friends what good here. The couple in the next table said everything on the menu was great. I did not believe them after I tried a few dishes I realized they are correct. I really enjoy the Tali hot plait a sea food garlic dish. The minced chicken with Basil and Chicken satay are my number one choice their Pad tai is great. I use to get the Butter cups but the Cups are usually stale I stop ordering they should just change the Butter cup to Lettuce wrap. The flavor of the meat with Peas and Carrot makes it taste great. Like I said you cant go wrong here with any dish.
First time trying this spot and I came during lunch time. Itβs a spacious restaurant but somehow it feels kind of cozy. I ordered the two item lunch combination which comes with a side of Tom kha soup which was flavorful and aromatic, perfect for the cold weather. For the two items I got their grilled bbq chicken which came with two drum sticks that were marinated in primarily lemongrass, I thought the flavor was okay, the portion is on the smaller side and I wish they charred it more. The other item I got was the sliced beef in a salty savory sweet marinade, this one had a much more bolder flavor which goes perfectly with the fried rice they give you. I think for the amount of food you get it is a little pricey but I was satisfied overall.
Most authentic Thai Iβve had in SF and I lived in Thailand for a few years.

Very good taste, friendly and fast service. The value of the lunch offer is fantastic.

All I can say is do yourself a favor and go here
The tom kha soup is amazing!!!

Really really really good food. I will be back for sure. Excellent service, great staff. Food is really fresh and superb. We had mint rolls, pad thai, green curry chicken & pad see ew, all best Iβve had in SF.
Cozy, old-school atmosphere, super nice staff, and the best pad Thai Iβve eaten in probably a year.
Great place to get veggies and saladsππ
Had the Thai Iced Tea and #45 (Panaeng-Sam-Ros). The Iced Tea was good, but the Panaeng-Sam-Ros was amazing. The red curry sauce was delicious, my only complaint is that it wasn't really spicy, but the flavor was so good that I don't even care.
This was my first time here, I am very afraid of going to Thai style restaurants because of my extreme peanut allergy but I walked through the door with a friend that had more experience than me and we ordered off of the menu.
I asked the waiter if my dish had any peanut products in it and I'm not sure he understood me.
When the dish came it looked and smelled very good " it was a # 14 with beef"
Sitting right on top was 1/2 of a peanut.
The waiter never checked back with us to see how the food was but he did stand with his back to me to take the order of the table to my left, without as much as checking in.
Long story long I ate around the PEANUT without a reaction and the dish was excellent in flavor. But I was nervous with every bite.
This was lunch hour thurs.6/14/2024
Ps...
Still Scared of Thai food!
Great food and service
Been coming here since they opened..
Love it still

I donβt know why this place has a 4.5 stars.
Itβs too pricy for a simple dish, and doesnβt come with any rice. I ordered rice because the dish was TOO salty. Including tax or other stuff cost me 26$ for just one simple salty dish and rice.
Will never come back.
Great food.
Great place.
Great prices.
Delicious veggie pad se ew with a great restaurant owner ππ

Not sure I quite understand the relatively high rating of this place - maybe I went on an off night. The food was pretty bland and the place was quite empty, even for a weekday. The service was nice and attentive though, and I liked the decor. It was on the expensive side for what you get, even for SF.
1st visit. Stopped in before a nearby meeting. First thing I hear are the Grateful Dead is gently playing. Terrapin Station.
Ordered the Pad Thai shrimp. Came quick, tasted delicious!
Staff is wonderful. It is always a pleasure to eat here.
Been dining here 32 years!
Taste 5/5, Authentic 5/5, Health 4/5, Location 3/5, Service 5/5, Interior 3/5, Cleanliness 4/5, Value 4/5.
Yummy Tom Kha Kai Soup and Somtam (Papaya salad)
I recommend
So yummy
So delicious, super cute vibe
Mice in the window at opening. Didn't go in.
Food we got was chicken satay, Penang fur and Thai fishcakes. Would absolutely recommend all, service was on point.
The larb is amazing! My favorite dish by far. Super friendly staff and a calm Thai vibe. Glad I was able to eat here.
Great food, friendly staff, good portions.
Dreary uninspired food
Shoddy decor
It's been there forever. And it shows
I asked them if itβs possible to give me fried rice with fried chicken without peas and they said yes , after the waiter came back and said that itβs already mixed and he suggested me white rice , so I though they will use white rice instead of brown rice or something, it wasnβt clear, at the end they served me a cup of white rice with a little bit of fried chicken and they charged me over $16 for that?? 16 for a small peace of chicken and some white rice ??? And just white rice nothing else ??
One of my favorite Longtime Thai spots in the city since the late 90'sπ. Delicious and authentic ALWAYS π
this was one of the best experiences iβve had at a dinner. not only was the food phenomenal and fast, the service was also extremely good. our waiter, boon, was one of the nicest waiters ive met. he knew we were muslim and weβre fasting for ramadan so he made sure to get our food to us by the time we broke our fast(we didnβt even tell him to, he looked up the time we broke our fast and accommodated to that). on top of that he was going out of his way to check if everything was okay and make conversation with us. overall really recommend, the staff is amazing, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is also amazing!!
Food is not cook to order. The minute you order, itβs on your table. They also charge extra just for hot sauce. Donβt recommend it. There are so many other good Thai restaurants in the city
Delicious! Loved everything
Beautiful decor and delicious food at good prices! We got the tom kha soup, green curry and pad Thai with shrimp. The pad Thai was definitely our favourite as it was so flavorful. Great service too
The food was simply amazing. Clean flavors with aromatic highlights that delight the palate. The service was just the best. Do yourself a favor and have the hot Thai tea!
Great food and great prices with friendly and fast service
So yummy, my go to neighborhood spot!
Great food and the service was excellent.
π amazing experience if you are able to stop in make it happen. β¨οΈ π₯β¨οΈ
Delicious food and excellent service!
I love it here!!!!!! It's soo inexpensive for such great quality and service! The dishes come out sooo fast! They take longer to pay for your bill rather than for the food to come out. Love it!
incredible lunch combo
Very good Thai. Nice surroundings.
All the plates contains dead animals.
The food is delicious!. I love the minced chicken with basil and also the spicy green curry. Gong is the main waiter and heβs a terrific guy. I suggest you try it; itβs been there a long time.
Simple and local restaurant with the reasonable price. The staffs are great and it seems like itβs been here for long time. The place looks better from looking at from outside.
Wonderful food! Just like Thailand. They are very friendly and a great local business. They also take the time to cook fresh!
Classic Thai food thatβs been operated by the same owners for years. Terrific service. The food is amazing, comes quickly, and is always fresh. Iβve never been disappointed by Manoraβs, except for when they are closed.
Amazing food.
Service and food is always spectacular.
Awesome food. Good service.
We've been going to Manora's for years. Really superb food. Quiet atmosphere too. Very reasonable prices.
This is one of the best Thai Food restaurants in the Bay Area. I have been going here for more years than I want to admit to, and am happy after all of these years, it is still surviving all the city changes, all the different trends that have popped up and collapsed around it, and this pandemic.
I recommend trying the Nur Soon, which I haven't seen anywhere else, but keep going back for myself. But everything else is excellent too, with quality ingredients and not skimpy portions.
We showed up around 8pm. The sign said they closed at 8:45, but they said they were closing at 8:30 that night.
The place was empty, so we politely asked if we could stay for dinner. They accommodated us.
We got great service and amazing Thai seafood plates. Prices are reasonable for SF. Enjoyed our experience and we would return for sure. π
Good food at a good price
Always the best Thai food in SF
This place is wonderful, the food and service are great. We sat down to order and got our food brought out in about 5-8 minutes. The duck was delicious and the quantity of food is great for the price. This place is also COVID safe, requiring masks and proof of vaccination to eat in. You can always order to go if you do not have these things.
I would go there at least twice a week if I could but it really was excellent customer service the dishes were awesome and I went with my family there are about thirty eight of us and again this place really is amazing
Best Thai Food in The City but they need to invest in new paper menus. The one they have now are prehistoric. They are probably pandemic proof but not pleasing for the eye.
This place is such a hidden gem. The owners are so incredibly friendly, and the food is AMAZING. Plus, the dishes are really well-priced for San Francisco.
One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to. Portions are healthy sized. And the price was good !! It's clean and traditional Thai decor. The staff was very attentive . I would recommend this place.
Always great food at a great price! Went in for lunch the other day and honestly can't believe this place isn't always packed!
Pad Tai and papaya side salad was very good. Food is always consistent and fresh. Lunch menu is limited but you can order certain dishes off dinner menu. This is a go try. π
We were buying things in the area and randomly decided to try this place. While the exterior looked unassuming and the menus look a little worn, the dishes do not disappoint. We had the fried fish cakes and the duck curry, both sizable and delicious. Would definitely come back again!
First time I visit was like 17 years ago since then I only been back 3 times very special occasions
Great service as always great food and the atmosphere is amazing definitely recommend it to everyone
My experience here was "FANTASTIC", They are very gentle and polite here, I recommend it, food Here is Amazing, A great place if you are looking for new experiences.

Good food friendly help. Wish they did some soups in smaller sizes
Menu prices posted on Google maps are lower than current prices they charge π
Pretty good, as Thai food goes.
Yellow and paneng curries are my favs. The pad thai is also delish.
This is absolutely one of the very best Thai restaurants in San Francisco. The traditional dishes are perfectly executed like the Pad Thai; all the curries are delicious, and the raw Papaya salad is really lovely. We asked for it spicy and light on the fish sauce, and it was just what we asked for chilli hot, very flavorful but delicious!!
Kudos to Manora Thai Restaurant.
Good but not memorable lunch at a reasonable price. No out door options. Service was quick and friendly. When one of us wanted an item not on the menu they were happy to make it for her.
Great lunch special & pleasant staff. Quick service, with many takeaway bags lined up. Mindful social distanced tables. Visit.
Manora is lovely and her food is fabulous.
Food was great, 1st time I visited
The lunch special was amazing! I got the coconut curry and spicy basil!
Best pad thai seriously! Taste even better than the ones I ate in thailand. Unfortunately they are closed on Sunday, but I always crave for their food on the weekends!
Best Green Curry I've ever had with generous and caring owners. 5/5
Super nice workers, great portions!
My go to Thai place. Lunch menu 2 items with fried rice and soup.
Absolutely delicious drunken noodles. Amazing value
Authentic thai cuisine. Thai staffed, Thai owned and pretty good prices with Amazing cood
Our favorite little neighborhood Thai place. Manora's makes amazing food and quickly, and have always been so accommodating with my allergies. Love their fresh rolls, and if you ask, they have the most amazing mango sticky rice.
Best Thai place in San Francisco. Don't miss!
Great food always, and Manora and Joe are wonderful people. Always nearby ...ππ
The best Thai food I ever had anywhere a must try if you like Thai food the menu is outstanding everything is awesome .the staff is always friendly they can be very busy at times but well worth it.
Our favorite Thai place. Period. Consistently good in the 15 years I have been going. Lunch specials can't be beat.
Eggplant and basil dishes were so flavorful and delicious.
Very few vegetarian options
This is my Favorite Thai Restaurant hands down!! I now live in Sacramento and miss this place :( I used to eat here once a week for many years. I wouldnβt eat sometimes for the entire day just to pig out at βMonoraβsβ. Everything on the menu is Amazing but I must say the Eggs Roll are from Heaven!! A must have appetizer :) The family has been there for years and are always so pleasant!! Love and Miss you Guys A lot!!
Humm... Sei nΓ£o
Been coming here since 1982, by far the best Thai Restaurant around
Lovely ambience and awesome food! Ordered one asparagus and shrimp in lobster sauce - love it
I'm not sure how this place stays open.
It had been years since I had been here. It was good then but I likely won't be returning.
Best place to visit after drinks and socializing at the SF Eagle.
Super delicious, and very kind service!
First visit and very impressed. Very good food and efficient service and a good price.
Surprised by how minimal the menu was, there are very few vegetarian choices, Iβm sure you could request it but the menu doesnβt explicitly make it an option.
Bruce ordered a beef, pork, chicken fried cutlet which was mostly breading and you had to pay extra for rice. The sauce was too mild, more tomato and cumin should have been tasted through.
Service was very good.
Consistently delicious for over 30 years is remarkable! My favorite is red curry beef and minced garlic basil chicken. Yummy.
Delicious food and good price!
Solid Thai food in the Folsom area . They've been at that location for many years. Quick and friendly service.
Always excellent food & service. ALWAYS!!!!
This really is one of the best places you can ever go. Birthday spot.
It's okay to have lunch here
Manora's is Great!! I have been going to this place for many years, and their food is really good. My personal favorite is their Tom Kha Ghai (Lemongrass/coconut/spicy chicken soup). I think there's something for everyone at this restaurant. They have excellent service to boot!
The duck in coconut curry sauce is to die for. Can't wait to go back for more!
Dined here mid week for dinner. Ordered a spring roll and the chicken/potato curry dish with brown rice. My friend had shrimp/asparagus as a main course.
The restaurant needs to be cleaned or remodeled. It's dirty folks.. I did enjoy my meal and the friendly service. I remember lines to get in this place.
Finally it occurred to me that the first time I visited this restaurant was in 1989. Hamburger Mary's was across the street and Google was just a little startup!
Used to be better. I think you guys need to do an upgrade. Still a wonderful place to get a great inexpensive Thai meal.
Great linch spot hidden on Folsom
Great taste, very big mid-week lunch crowd so plan accordingly!
Lemon soup was really good and the best peanut sauce came with the satay. Quick service as well. Really nice place
Awesome service and food. They've been around for a pretty long time and have yet to disappoint.
Good food and very generous portions. Kind and attentive staff. The only drawback is the lack of vegetarian selections. They were able to modify a dish for our vegetarian friend, but only two items are vegetarian to begin with. Otherwise it's a good option if you're in the area.
Favorite thai place ....loooove it
Great lunch special. Had the curry and fried shrimp but there are lots of choices all good.
Excellent customer service
Food was pretty good, and fast, but was a little different than Thai places that Iβm used to so had to get used to the menu. The server wasnβt the most helpful at helping choose or explain the menu, but overall authentic food and scene.
Food was excellent!
Manora's is a long-time San Francisco institution that has been serving quality Thai food for over 30 years. In all that time, I've never been disappointed with the food, or the service.
Good foods and decent price
