I have been here for many times but it’s my first time tried the mango sticky rice here and also the first time I ordered the mango sticky rice with no any fresh mango. We ordered an assortment to share: Pad Kra Prao, Som Tum, Tom Kha and sticky rice to soak up the juices. My friends ordered Massaman Curry and Khao Ka Moo (one of my favs!) and both were delicious. We also ordered unfiltered sake (not exactly Thai but a welcome drink!) - quite the feast! The leftovers were divine! 🙏 kap koon naka

After Bansang, I headed to iThai at the suggestion of friends! Wow, how long has it been since I’ve been out at this hour? It reminded me of the fun times I used to have hanging out with friends in downtown.

iThai… It’s been 10 or 20 years since I first visited when it initially opened, and now here I am, showing up past 10 PM, haha.

It was so chaotic that I couldn’t take any photos, but by my standards, the food was just okay. Since it was karaoke night on the weekend, the place was extremely loud—having a conversation was impossible. Just shout, have fun, and enjoy yourself while you’re there!

Everything I've had here has been solid. My favorite is the pumpkin curry, but I also really like the Panang Moo and Praram Neur dishes. Beef pad see ew rocks--the beef is so tender. Love the egg rolls too! Attentive service and fair portions.

Nothing to say, taste like in Thailand

I came here years ago and have dreamt of the curry ever since. I craved it so bad that I just went though almost a decade of maps history to find this place. Divine food.

Food was decent. But it's catered to White American palates. No mention of whether we would like the dish to have a spicy kick. The Kao Pad Kaprow did not have real Thai basil, neither did the Pad Kaprow, which was more of a Chinese stirfry dish.

The workers here always mess something up. Food is good so I go back when it's convenient, but I just don't understand why they always mess up my orders.

The last time I dined here, the server put our food at another table and didn't make sure we got our food. We kept asking and they said it'd "be ready soon" without checking with the kitchen. Turns out, they left the food at a different table and it was just sitting there for 20 mins.

For my most recent delivery, I specifically made sure I requested for utensils and napkins since I just moved to a new apartment and don't have any utensils here. I ordered tom yum soup and a papaya salad. They did not provide me with utensils or napkins. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO EAT NOW? HOW DOES A RESTAURANT MESS UP THIS BADLY ALL THE TIME?

Rating this highly for the service and the atmosphere, there are regulars here and the friendly banter between the staff and said regulars made it feel like home.

Tom yum was delicious. I might come back

My husband and I were looking for a quick bite to eat and decided to grab takeout here. It was really easy to put our dietary preferences and allergies when we ordered online and when we got there, they double checked with us. The service was great and the food was tasty. We both got pad see ew.

The calamari was fresh/crispy and Padthai(?) was very flavorful and tasty. Crab fried rice was also quite good and the service was great! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and when I forgot to bring the straw for my plastic sealed to go drink the staff ran out of the store to hand it over to me cuz otherwise I would've had to cut open the plastic seal and it would not have tasted the same ☺️😆 amazing service👍🏻👍🏻

Food is terrible & overpriced for what it is. Went on a Friday night & there wasn’t a single diner in the restaurant. No take out orders either in the peak time we were there. We should have walked out.

Ordered takeout at 10:30pm, panang Curry came absolutely covered in oil... Packaging covered in oil as well as a thick layer on top. I can barely consume it. Doesn't taste good even after removing all of it

Ordered the yellow chicken curry —- the chicken they use is incorrect for the curry. It’s chunky — traditionally they have to use thin chicken pieces. It’s ridiculous they don’t automatically have carrots and you have to pay extra for it. Basic Thai food — overpriced.

Ordered a chef special a three pork dish.
The pork tasted and felt like some thing that was cooked days prior, set in a fridge, and then warmed up in a microwave.

The curry someone else ordered was not mixed at all, with all spices just seating at the buttom.

The rotti appetizer was good.

The food took quite a long time to arrive. By the time other dishes arrived one of the people already finished eating.

Everything that I have ordered here has been great, If you want eye watering heart skipping hot they can do that too.

Thai iced coffee was so good. Basil crispy pork and tomyum soup was good too. Generous amount of seafood in the soup. Definitely will come back here again!

I ordered crispy chicken over rice and a side of broccoli, on my way to work i thought id stop by and give it a try, while waiting on my food I felt the energy of the staff was unpleasant and not so friendly, they weren't rude, but they didn't make me feel welcomed, that's just the beginning. I wait 20 minutes which was fine since I was told upfront the wait time, food's ready and I head off to work, I get there and I literally had 7 pieces of sliced chicken that mind you wasn't even crispy, that I paid $25 for with a side of broccoli which was the only item that was decent and mediocre service. Totally worthless, what a rip off, never again.

Pad see ew is good. I can handle spice pretty well but medium spice level is pretty spicy for me. Will probably ask for somewhere in between mild and medium next time.

This place is fire. The food is as close to Thailand as you will ever find in SF. They do a great job at listening to any special vegetarian requests. Just a word of caution, their food is very authentic, meaning tell them to make it “not spicy” unless you’re really about that life because even “medium spicy” is bringing the heat.

This place has REALLY dang good food although the service is lacking.....we would definitely come back again. A+

I had a bad plate of rice and chicken i found a piece of plastic that chipped my tooth and the chicken had a old smell nasty horrible experience ever also the rice tasted like rat

Yellow curry with chicken....it tasted like soap, there was maybe 10%chicken and 90% chicken skin, it was as if whatever random leftover bits of chicken were available were thrown in. Definitely unappealing and not edible at all so save your money. The vegetarian curry puff had no flavor, very bland, basically just mashed potatoes in a puff pastry. I would recommend skipping this restaurant and going to either Lers Ros or Old Siam which are both nearby and are consistently good quality food.

What an amazing place to dine at. Some great Thai food. Visited here with a friend on the last day in San Fran! Quick service, courteous staff, lively ambience, pretty much crowded. The staff was very helpful. Coming to food, it was real scrumptious!
Sitting arrangements were real good and accessible restaurant. Right in-front of the USA hostel SFO. Locality is safe and Korean shop close by. Must visit when in San Fran.

Let’s Start with the ambience they were playing that It movie which was interesting because there was a lot of blood and gore but the restaurant is usually empty, I feel like I’m a lot of people take their food to go. On the service was pretty standard nothing to upper echelon nothing terrible, Our server was attentive and pretty much brought us everything we needed.

Starting with the fresh rolls: Definitely true to the name very fresh Fresh and pretty standard overall I am filled with vegetables and tofu served with a chili lime vinaigrette.

The cucumber salad: to me is one of the best things on the menu you definitely cannot go wrong eating this cucumber salad I’m not sure exactly what that sauce is that it comes in but that sauce is amazing so if you do come here test out the cucumber salad.

Next step was that IThai fried rice and added some chicken in there which made it splendiferous, This is my go to when I come here I cannot come to iThai and not get their chicken fried rice I know this may seem basic but he got to stick to what you know I’m so I would definitely suggest grabbing some fried rice adding the chili paste for some extra flavor.

Last but not least the sweet-and-sour vegetables: was amazing I swallowed it it had a lot of flavor vegetables are cooked to perfection and it wasn’t overdone.

IThai is a place you go to right before you’re about to go out and have about 10 drinks because I know that’s what you San Francisco people love to do is drink so come to iThai for a little pregame the food is not that expensive and it’s usually empty if you want to just sit down and eat.

Ordered 3 appetizers. 2 were burnt and the third was inedible. The staff didn't notice, comment or seem to care that we hadn't touched one of the plates because it was so bad. Prices were very high all things considered. Would not recommend.

Maybe it's better for dinner? 2 of our 3 appetizers were mediocre at best so we didn't bother to order entrées.

iThai is a Thai restaurant in San Francisco. The food is very delicious. There is good WiFi and great service. It's a little bit expensive on my opinion. The floor has a weird sticky texture wich is a lil weird.

It was just a few doors down from our hotel The Andrew. Food was average but the eggplant dish was not cooked thru.. Perhaps if we had ordered something else it would have been fine. Portions are a little small.
