Iβm from Thailand πΉπ It's the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the fantastic Thai Test Team that truly sets this place apart. Every visit feels like dining with family. Absolutely divine! If you're looking for a dining experience where the food always hits the mark and the service is second to none, Thai Test Restaurant is the place to be. The Pad pad gra prowΒ meal is delicious and their mango sticky rice is always perfect. π€©
Yum!! Portion size is a bit on the smaller side but the flavors are on point. I have been dreaming of good roti since I visited Thailand years ago, and this satisfied my craving. My friend and I sat at a table outside and the staff brought our food out to us which was greatly appreciated. We went on a weekend so I'm not sure how busy it gets during the week when people are working since it's located in a business park. Can't wait to go back and try their other dishes!
I want to like this place -- the food is pretty good, but it takes forever. I walked in around 11:30 the other day and ordered. No one was in line ahead of me, and there were only two other people waiting for food. But it took them 25 minutes to get my food to me (a simple noodle dish), and all the while they were stacking up a couple dozen take out orders on the counter that no one was picking up.
Call me crazy, but I think they should at least somewhat prioritize people who show up in person and order and are waiting there for their food.
I don't know what they are "testing," other than perhaps their customers' patience.
Came in during lunch time, it wasn't as busy as one would expect being surrounded by offices.
Atmosphere and furniture are nice, very well kept, food was flavorful and a good price-food-quality ratio.
The only thing is the attitude of the staff, if you ask for any modifications or even cater to a special need, you'll get a rude answer and a "it's $X extra" even though it is just removing an ingredient or asking for more veggies instead of meat.
I get the meat surcharge but more onion and cilantro seriously?!
I got the Singapore noodle dish with vegetables and it was so delicious! I got a level 5 spice and it was just the right amount. The portion size was a lot bigger than I had expected so it lasted me a while. I also got the fried tofu as a side and equally as delicious! Would recommend if you ever want to try a new Thai dish or stick to your comfort!
Heard about this place from a friend so I went to go check it out for lunch on a weekday. It's hidden in a big business area in Sorrento Valley and there was a constant stream of customers coming in for lunch.
I thought the food was flavorful but a bit salty. The portions were quite small for the price too. I don't think any of us will be returning.
We choose bbq pork as the meat options on a few of the dishes and regretted it. They were dry and didn't add anything to the dishes. Just dry bbq pork belly pieces added to the dishes on top. Choose different meat options so that they are cooked in with the dishes.
Food is delicious!! Had the Spicy Basil Duck and an order of their Half Moon with plum sauce (essentially cream cheese rangoon with sweet and sour sauce). The half moon was heavenly, the cream cheese just melts in your mouth! The ducks was also cooked well and had a lot of flavor.
Will be back to try more of their dishes.
Unfortunately a terrible experience. I ordered yellow curry. Came in a paper plate, small portion in comparison of price and order thai restaurants.
Their family were eating in a regular bowl. I asked them to give me a bowl and they denied. They are not customer oriented. I returned the plate back and decided to leave.
Donβt recommend.

This place is low key amazing Thai food. Who knew a little spot in a business park could produce some of the best Thai food in town! The staff is great and working hard to handle all the customers that don't understand how to order food or wait in line. Do better customers.

Food was so good, the panang curry was so creamy and spicy and delicious.
It is a pick-up restaurant. Call and order first if you don't want to wait too long.
I was looking for a new Thai place near my office and this one hit on every level. Soup and pad thai were on point.
HIGHLY recommend Thai Test to anyone! They've become my obsession for lunch at my office and are (rightfully so) almost always busy. Their team is so wonderful and the quality of food is some of the best you'll find in San Diego!
The food is decent. Not as bad as nearby place. Service and order were fast around 4PM.

Nice friendly staff. Had Pad Thai. It was a solid bowl. Good location for lunch
The food here is consistently excellent, and while it may take a little longer during busy lunch hours, it's always worth the wait. If you're on a tight schedule, I recommend calling ahead to preorder.
best thai restaurant in sd!!!

Great kitchen
Amazing π€©
I recently ordered the Larb Chicken from Thai Test Kitchen, and while the dish itself was okay, the presentation was disappointing. They served a quarter of raw cabbage alongside it, uncut and awkward to eat, which detracted from the overall experience. I hope they improve the presentation because, as it stands, the raw cabbage really missed the mark.

I have tried the Singapore noodles, it was great and spicy taste. Also it was light and not at all sweet.
I highly recommend Khow Mun Gai - the dish is a delightful blend of tender chicken, fragrant rice, and a delectable sauce. The dish is a true masterpiece, showcasing the chef's skill and dedication. I already come back few times for this dish. And donβt forget having it with thai tea. ππ»π
I absolutely love this place! Their food is wonderful, we go here every week for lunch at least. Their staff is so wonderful, and itβs such a nice place to eat, indoors or outdoors.
Best Thai spot in San Diego. Their drunken noodles are insanely good!
The silver noodle (pad woon den) is really tasty!
Amazing food, amazing restaurant. Who would have thought that a small restaurant tucked away in a business park in sorento valley would have such incredible food! Iβve been coming here once a week for months now, and have NEVER been disappointed. All the food options are incredibly tasty, with a special shoutout to their Pad Thai and Fried Rice. Not only is the food delicious, the staff is so friendly and always makes a special effort to get to know their repeat customers. This is always my go-to lunch recommendation, well worth a trip wherever in the city youβre coming from!
Everything on the menu is delicious! I work next door and have tried many things on the menu - never been disappointed! The drinks are delicious too - love the matcha. One of my fav meals is the pineapple fried rice - so good!!!
Ordered from uber eats, got the Crispy Prok with Chinese Brocolli for $19 and I only got 4 mediocre sized pork cubes. Itβs more like Chinese Brocolli with Crispy Pork. To be fair, it tasted good, but I barely ate anything. For $19 the portion is really dissapointing. I demand a refund.
Real hidden gem. My wife and I have been enjoying Thai food and discovered this restaurant online.
It is surrounded by corporate businesses, but it means plenty of parking available and a very peaceful lunch.
The interior is very clean and has many retro throwbacks and pieces of art.
My wife had a wok fried dish which had a very nice wok mei (smokiness from the wok for all you non Asians... it's a good thing), and the beef boat noodles had a really nice and rich flavor. Spice level goes up to 10, and I recommend going for 10 if you are a real one. Also grab a papaya salad.
The owner is extremely nice and engaged in conversation with us a few times. Overall, we will be visiting again.
P.S. I even made an extra order to go because everything was so good, and I am excited about dinner later.
I was so excited to try this cute new place, but all my expectations fell short. The tables outside havenβt been cleaned (not just of food, but of nature - including bird poop); it took a while to get someoneβs attention to take our order; after paying/while waiting for our food, I watched a cockroach casually stroll across the the floor - until I smashed it with my shoe. We got up and left - no food, no refund, no reason to return.
Got the chicken pad thai but took 40 minutes to get for takeout. I wouldn't have minded if the food was worth the wait, but it had a metallic taste and smell to it. I tried so hard to eat it but had to throw it away.

Thai restaurant in a corporate office park. Good food, friendly staff. Both myself and my friend enjoyed the drunken noodles
I would highly recommend Thai Test Kitchen
To my people , the food is amazing if you want to drool scroll through the pictures others have posted, I don't have the focus to take pictures start y start eating as soon as I can .:)
Friendly people
Great food
That is the not secret to happiness

Order early they are slammed every day
First time there. It was a wonderful meal and a great atmosphere. I highly recommend Thai Test Kitchen!
Way overpriced
Stumbled upon this place on social media and have been meaning to try it - but they keep odd hours so it was difficult to find a good time to go since I don't work in the area. Upon arriving here, it made a lot of sense why they're not open on the weekends and why the hours are basically 9-5 (excluding Friday). It is the ground floor of what appears to be office buildings, and there is really nothing else around.
I had the crispy pork belly with basil with a fried egg and roti as my dessert. The pork belly dish was absolutely fantastic, albeit a bit heavy so I saved a portion of it for dinner the same evening. My friend and I demolished the roti, it was excellent and the condensed milk was a nice touch! My friend had the pad see ew with chicken and she really enjoyed it.
We will definitely be back to try other dishes now that we know where it is. It's a great lunch option!
The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. I usually get the Thai Boat Beef!
Solid Thai food for a quick lunch
Very tasty Thai. Much better than the usual.
The food here is amazing the pineapple curry is so good as well as the coconut jelly it hits the spot I truly recommend this place

Wanted to try something new and off the beaten path today, so we went to Thai Test Kitchen! It's honestly sort of hidden in what looks like a business park, but it was really cool to see! Good food, quiet atmosphere, and I plan to revisit it soon.
Really great food, great price, wonderful environment, highly recommend!
We came here during lunchtime on a weekday and it was pretty busy, but the food and service was still great! We got the tom kha and crispy basil pork belly, along with a Thai tea and mango sticky rice. The tom kha was made with super juicy chicken which added so much flavor to the broth, and the Thai basil combined with green beans flavored the pork belly rice wonderfully. We sat outside, but inside the space was very well decorated and pleasant. Will be coming back again soon!
edit: came back and the food was just as delicious! The pad see ew with duck was delicious and fresh, and piping hot!
They are really nice and their food is bomb. We had the Pad Thai, Eggplant, Fried rice, and sticky mango and every dish was delicious. Definitely going to be a returning customer!
I got the drunken noodle with tofu, it was good but a little dry in my opinion, but we asked for more sauce after and the owner gave some which made it tastier. The yellow curry on the other hand was sooooo good, one of the best in san diego that ive had. i would come back to eat the yellow curry again! nice quiet spot in a business center overlooking sorrento valley and the owner seems very nice
one of the best Thai food in USA
Itβs pretty delicious and the service is great.
Hidden gem in office area.
