I recently visited Gra Pow Restaurant and had a fantastic experience! The large beer selection was impressive and a perfect complement to the meal. During happy hour, the appetizers were enticing, offering a great variety to choose from.

The seating process was simple—it's a self-seating arrangement—but we were greeted and assisted right away, which was a nice touch. Once we ordered, I was blown away by the freshness of the food. Each dish was bursting with flavor, and you could really taste the quality of the ingredients.

Overall, Gra Pow has quickly become one of my favorite Thai places. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food in a welcoming atmosphere!

Came in for dinner. Definitely was rush hour. Started with the Satey chicken for the app. The chicken itself was tender and juicy. The sauce that comes with the chicken is more on the sweet side.
For entree, we got Kung pao chicken with side of fried rice and chowmein along with chowmein with chicken. The fried rice had a smell to it, but it could have been the sauce that was added.
Although the food overall was good, it could have been a little more flavorful and spicy.
Wouldn't mind coming back again and trying the dessert.

I’m so glad I stopped in. This is a great restaurant! Not only beautiful and big, but the service is excellent. I took pictures of s bunch of items and every one of them looked and smelled amazing. I had the garlic pepper beef for lunch and it was amazing! If you are in the area you owe yourself to check it out. Not only do they have a large restaurant, they have a sushi bar and regular bay as well. And even outdoor seating.

Delicious! Lettuce wraps were nice, but be warned, fairly spicy. We also had the cheese wontons and pad see ew. All of it was excellent. They loose one star on the review for listing happy hour on the website still but not actually offering anything for happy hour. The staff was great and took good care of us for how crazy busy it was!

Nice selection, good lunch specials

Came here hungry and ordered the spicy and sour noodle soup lunch special. The salad was delicious with crispy noodles to contrast the greens, and the noodle soup tasted excellent. I ended up finishing everything very quickly and my only reservation is that I was worried that I would still be hungry after finishing the soup. The soup filled me up and I am eager to try out the other lunch specials when I am in Riverside

You nailed my family's to-go order for 8 and we all loved the care you took in packaging the food with utensils and napkins etc. We all have our favorite entrees and enjoyed sharing all of our choices with each other. The portions were large and we felt the value was there. Thank you for the prompt and professional service! We will be back.

I attempted to go here but was never called. I checked in at 7pm stayed there until 8:20pm n nothing. I was told it was going to be a 35-50 min wait time. Complete waste of time.

I had some spicy shrimp with some veggies I don't remember what it was called but it made me like gra pow even more.

Grapow was highly recommended, and it's easy to see why with how busy it always is. The manager recommended trying the Pad Pik King and Chicken Slammers (an in-house specialty), which was terrific. Thai food is known often for its spice always delivers, and the Pad Pik King hit all the right places with the Chicken Slammers to prepare me for the feast! HIGHLY RECOMMEND GRAPOW FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GREAT DATE NIGHT WITH SOME COMFORT FOOD AND COCKTAILS!

THIS RESTAURANT/BAR IS NOT SAFE if you are not a regular or a local. Last night, I seen one of the business owners physically assaulted a group of college students in the parking lot when they didn't do anything wrong and complied to the instructions given by the owner him self. Security staff and another customer joined in on the attack. Witnessing this experience was beyond terrifying, especially knowing that the owner organized the assault against a friendly group of college students visiting from out of town.

The place was great BUT definitely not an authentic Thai food. The pineapple fried rice has different taste. They messed up my order big time and waitress(young blonde lady) did not even apologized but instead came out rude. That was our first time and definitely the last time!

Food and service are excellent. Atmosphere feels stuffy as They’re so busy so in order to have my cake and eat it too I order food to go on a regular basis. My favorite dish is the coconut curry chicken.

I’ve been here about 4 times and it’s always so good. My favorite is the chicken pad Thai.

This is my go-to place here in the Southeast Riverside/Woodcrest area! The staff is always very friendly and helpful, which makes for a wonderful atmosphere for lunch, dinner, and all times in between, including happy hour! The bar has a great selection of cocktails and draft beer, which is available in short or tall mugs at amazing prices! But of course, the food is beyond excellent--having visited Thailand in person, I'm always looking for authenticity and bold flavors and spiciness in Thai cuisine, and the selections here--especially the signature pad kra pao gai (thai basil chicken)--are just the best! Spice levels 9 and 10 are highly recommended for the true chili heads out there!

Grapow is one of the bars to hang out sometimes. Nice mature crowd, good drinks and food. Margie and the team display great customer service and spirit.

I love this place! So good! Wait time is crazy during peak hours so you are going to wait and service will slow down. Both perfectly understandable. Do please be patient, don't be rude or just don't come. We locals want to keep it nice and happy!

It's great food with good prices and nice portions, but it takes about 45 minutes to get your food. I am a fan of the yellow curry and cashew chicken and would definitely recommend trying.

This place is one of the best Thai food restaurants in riverside hands down, took my wife for dinner tonight along with my 11 month old son he slept in his seat most the time, i had the pad see ew with chicken and a miso soup on the side and spring rolls with shrimp as and appetizer it was all very fresh tasty and fullfilling took some home, the atmosphere on both sides of the restaurant are awesome the customer service is amazing which is always a plus. Lunch specials are great also.

Very slow service over priced food not really Thai food some sort of fusion

I have been going to Grapow for years but after today I will never go again! Some co-workers and myself went for lunch to celebrate my birthday. There was a family with children that were being so loud it was making in uncomfortable for everyone in the restaurant. One of my co-workers asked the server to ask the family to quiet down their children. The server told the family who then came up and confronted us. Then when they left the family confronted us a second time yelling very inappropriate language. The one man even physically threatened us. We asked to speak to the manager to discuss the way the situation was handled and she was very dismissive about the situation saying the server obviously needed more training. She never even offered any type of compensation for the very uncomfortable position their restaurant put us in. If that is their idea of customer service then they are no better then the family.

The food was great, the service a little slow but probably because the place was simply teeming with people this Sunday evening. For some mysterious reasons, our bill was about 10% higher than it should have been. Readily fixed when pointed out but why should this happen in the first place?

I used to love this place, but slowly over 5 years the prices keep increasing and the amount of food is less and less. It’s no longer worth it, I suggest going to LA to get your Thai fix.

Sadly this is the last straw for Gra Pow.

The food still tastes okay. Not amazing. It used to be a great value for the quantity and quality of food. I used to recommend this place to everyone, now I have not mentioned it once in at least a year to anyone. With my current order, I’d be embarrassed to recommend it and charge my suckers, I mean guests, these prices. $35 for a small soup and Pad Thai.

Super run of the mill Thai food. Went on a Friday and service was super slow and gave us something extra we didn't order. Very standard bar/grill vibes. Nothing offensive nothing special.

This was not a good experience. I've visited many times before and it was always great. Unfortunately, we were seated in the very back of the room and totally ignored. No one came to service our table. After sitting for 20 minutes I stopped a waiter and asked if we had a waiter and he said he'd go find out. Finally after an additional 10 minutes wait a waitress showed. What I did notice from the moment we entered, the hostess and the waitress avoided making eye contact with me when communicating. Not sure what was going on that day but I certainly hope the generous tip I gave the waitress made her day.

I'm a big fan of this place. Their pickups take WAY too long (even long before Covid) but the wait is worth it - barely. I particularly enjoy the Thai tacos, steamed sui-mai, and tuna tartar.

Edit: the sui-mai wasn't as good last time. It seemed like they were from a bag. But the red curry was REALLY good. Still a fan.

Edit: been a while since my last visit. This time I got the young coconut green curry with shrimp. It was phenomenal. Maybe even better than the red curry, and that's saying something.

Edit: Finally tried the sushi. We weren't impressed. It wasn't bad, but nothing was particularly good either. However, I can't stop ordering the young coconut green curry. It's SOOOOO good!

The food was great but I kind of noticed that the staff was playing favorites to certain kind of clintal that came in. I kind of felt like they were getting better service than we were but that's probably because they were the regulars. It was our first time there and the service was not very good. But the food is great. I mean we got our calamari but we didn't have any place sets. No forks, no napkins. Nothing that you know. Dip the stuff in with so we waited and finally got some waitress attention and get us something and the seating was. You know they they said we could have any seat and we're like well. We'd like a booth but they're like well. There's nothing really and then you know just like I said certain clientele got better service and better seating and I had ordered some thin and got something else and then I got kind of a wack excuse and I was like whatever. So I'll just drink with this. And it's funny cuz you know my date had heard me say what I wanted and the waitress was like no this is what you ordered but whatever and I was like all right whatever. But the food is great. I had the seafood grapow and it was delicious 😋

The spiciest Thai food in the IE. I have been everywhere due to my job, and nowhere compares to here. I asked for a 10/10 extra spicy and for the 2nd time it is the spiciest food I can find in the area by a wide margin. Spice heads beware some may meet their match here, others will find themselves a new home to eat at.

Every time I try to call this restaurant I get hung up on or left on hold til I get hung up on. Food is middle. Not terrible but for the wait time to get food and the bad service. I don’t think I’m gonna go back here.

There were Thai tacos, Gra pow ground beef. You had a salmon bowl? A teriyaki chicken bowl, a pad Thai bowl, dragon fried rice, black pepper, steak and in everything bowl not to mention dumplings, garlicky spicy edamame. Everything was amazing. Cannot say enough about this place

I would have given this a much higher rating because the variety and quality of the food was great. But for whatever reason, the service was lacking. Even though we told the server we were eating family style (sharing entrees), we had to repeatedly ask for serving spoons. When I asked, before the food was delivered, for chili sauce and soy sauce, they said they would bring it but never did. And they disappeared after the food was delivered. My wife had to get up and hunt for some.

Very nice place, inside and outside dining available. Lunch was a large serving with a side salad. Dressing was fantastic (their own) and the drinks they offered were fancy!

Best Thai food

I went here tonight 05/20/2023 and me and my Family never got served. It was only 4 of us, but no one ever came to the table after seating us. It wasn't that busy, I've been here before, but after 20 minutes of just sitting, me and my daughters left as someone was heading to our table. This makes no sense, I was very Disappointed!

About 5 years ago, this restaurant was fantastic but that is no longer the case. Ever since the bar expansion the prices have gone up and food quality has gone down.
Today was my last visit.

We had an amazing experience at Grapow Restaurant! The food is absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. The restaurant has a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere, which made our dining experience even better. I highly recommend the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodles. They are both packed with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The portions were pretty generous, so we were definitely satisfied with our meal. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall, we had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back. If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine and great service, Grapow Restaurant is definitely the place to go!

One of my favorite hangouts in Riverside. Good food. Good atmosphere. All around nice place to get some drinks or some dinner.

We have been going to Gra Pow for years and have always loved the food and service. Lately over the past year they have changed the quality of their food to more frozen options, instead of the original fresh dinning experience we have had in the past. The orange chicken now tastes over fried and similar to what you would expect in the Costco freezer aisle or a low grade Chinese food restaurant. The Gra Pow noodle dish has also changed and are no longer full noodles but chopped noodles(im guessing to save money) and majority bell pepper and onions. This is such a disappointment when the prices have gone up and now the food quality have gotten worse. Unfortunately I will not be spending anymore of my money here, the price is to high for the now low quality food.

I came in during a basketball game. It was busy and rowdy, but okay. I asked the host if I could sit at the bar since I saw 2 empty seats. It literally took 5 minutes for anyone to greet me, and when she did, the girl seemed upset or something. She asked me something along the lines of "Are you here for pick-up?" I answered, "No, I'm here to order food and drinks." She looked at me, confused, almost signaling I wasn't seated in the right section. It was a very awkward exchange. I felt like leaving. Service was dull. I don't think she smiled even once. Definitely, Jessica needs better customer service skills. Would come again, but I would ask for a different server.

Food was excellent, orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken. The server seemed very impatient, and another server brought a couple of items we had asked for and did not receive. We will definitely be back.

My coworkers had been telling me good things about this restaurant but I just hadn't had the chance to come til yesterday. It's soooo delicious. I think next time we'll come for drinks and dinner.

I am glad I was recommended to come here. I was able to be seated right away. The service was great. Super friendly. The food was super tasty. Their version of drunken noodles was on point. I also enjoyed their version of a margarita. I will be back here. I highly recommend.

Very disappointed. Order edition my fav- Orange Chicken. It was not good. Seems they no longer make it in house but are buying some sort of pre made stuff. Chicken was not all breast meat and it was terrible.

My husband, myself, and a good friend of ours dined at Gra Pow last night. When I called, it was already off to a good start. I spoke with Nic who answered the phone. He had a great friendly attitude. I had a few questions. I explained to him that I am unable to wait due to my disability, unless there is a place to sit down. He asked me what time we would be coming in, I let him know. He told me what the best time to arrive. It was our first time dining at Gra Pow. My husband and I were a little skeptical because it seemed more like a lounge than a restaurant, and usually a lounge only has a few items on the menu. When we received the menus, all of us were pleasantly surprise. They had to plenty to choose from on the menu. As for the food , it was absolutely delicious. I had the wok fried rice with beef. I did ask for certain items to be removed because I do have some dietary restrictions, which they accommodated. I did have to wait a while for our food, and the person that brought our food apologized to us for having to wait. The food was delicious, so when someone puts that much effort into making sure our food comes out right, we don’t mind the wait.. My husband ordered the Pad Thai with Shrimp. I tried my husband’s Pad Thai. I told my husband that I think that’s the best Pad Thai we’ve had anywhere. The friend that was with us, ordered the pineapple fried rice with shrimp and chicken. She said that was delicious. The one thing that we noticed is that Gra Pow seems to serve larger portions than some other restaurants. Additionally, they didn’t skimp on the ingredients, like the beef , shrimp, etc. The service was good as well. Our waitress was very nice, but I don’t know her name. I know we will be back in this area and definitely we will be dining at Gra Pow Thai again

Service was great the food was delicious and the drinks are Dynamite. Will be back again. The lettuce wraps and bbq chicken highly recommend.

Love the food but it’s a quite alarming that when you order pineapple fried rice with chicken that you have a cross contamination of shell fish physically present in your rice. There may need to be something in place to prevent this from happening. If there was an allergy going on, this would not be good. Please have the cooks be more mindful of cross contamination as this can be dangerous.

They took forever it seemed like they forgot about us. I even had to ask two waitresses for the bill.

The establishment was clean. Customer service was A1 and the food was even better. I've been searching for a Papaya salad for years and have found it! I would recommend and will be returning.

Great food and service

Service is always great here. The bartender makes our drink on point. If he does not know it, he will research it and make it for us. Great job. The server lady gets our back all the time. Lovely personality.

My husband and I just love this place. I was quite shocked of how much they have raised their prices. So it does make it next to impossible to eat there anymore. But I did pop by to get a vegetarian lunch and also a drunken chicken noodle lunch. $35 the portions were ridiculously small. I understand this has been a problem for all of us with the grocery store to buying clothes, gas, eating out, etc! It seems things are Starting to regulate back to normal now. And it'd be nice if some of these restaurants started lowering their prices. Or I think a lot of businesses will be going under as people just cannot afford to eat out as much as they want to.

Food can take forever depending on the day i guess and the servers can be good or really bad and distracted, the food is so good never fails with thw food

I got the red curry with chicken, it was good flavor, a lot of oil, and a bit thinner than I expected, but still good portions for the cost. Also the menu prices have changed since the ones posted on Google.
