Service was attentive and good, nice decorative Thai atmosphere.

Food quality and taste are below mediocre, yet expensive.
Soup was pretty sour for tom kha.
Pad thai was very sweet, there was way too much noodles compared to the toppings and protein. The noodles were al dente; who makes pad thai with al dente noodles???
Beef salad was super salty. On the menu, it says “tender slices of beef”, but in reality, it was like eating rubber with onions and lettuce.
I’ve had much better authentic Thai food elsewhere, just happened to be in the area that day and I was hungry so decided to check out a new place. Regretted my decision so much.

Ordered carry out. Worst green curry I’ve ever had. Other food was not very good. Will not order from here again.

A complete let down. I have been going here for years becasue of how much I love there food. However, tonight was so bad I will not go back. The tiger cry was half the portion, served on iceburg lettuce. I had more lettuce
than meat on the plate. The meat was completly cold, it use to be served on a hot plate. Sad to know service and quality is gone. I wont be going back.

If you're looking for Thai in Poway, this is your best bet! I have been to every Thai place in poway, and this is the place to go for the most authentic Thai food, amazing Thai tea, and excellent staff. There are occasions when the spice level isn't always the same, where "spicy" is more "medium" than other days. But the food is always stellar!

One of my favorite places to eat Thai food in San Diego. All of the curries are fantastic. The spicy Thai Basil is excellent.

The Phad Thai with Roasted Duck was delicious, not every place has duck as an option. My wife ordered the Salmon and enjoyit as well. Service was great, felt this place deserved a higher score that the current avg.

Shared a great takeout meal from Takhrai Thai. We really enjoyed the cashew chicken. The cream cheese wontons were great and we really enjoyed the small amount of spice in the plum sauce for dipping. Pad thai shrimp was pretty good as was the yellow currie and drunken noodles. We got medium spice level on everything and thought it was a true medium spicy. The Thai tea was great as well.

Ordered the 'Drunken noodles' with roasted duck. Got my order in less than 5 min... should have been suspicious. Everything was mushy, even the duck. Expected better, got worse than chow hall food in Afghanistan quality. Won't be going back.

Food is okay, but the service sucks. Long wait, no acknowledgment when I walked in, and no communication coming from the staff. Stood there for 40 min to pick up an order that was supposed to be ready in 20. Probably won’t be back.

Service here is always the slowest and every time I give them another chance, even for something as small as a tea I'm ignored and wait 20 minutes. Food is average at best and prices are high. Id rather drive further to get my thai elsewhere.

We have eaten, several appetizers and entrees. The green curry is my favorite (with shrimp is really good) and the red curry is my husbands favorite.

This restaurant made me feel like a second class citizen because they denied me access to dining inside and only gave me access to eat outside when it was extremely cold because I didn't provide proof of vaccination, which isn't even the law in san Diego county. they said that they wanted to protect their employees but, if the vaccine works, they should be protected whether an unvaccinated person is in the room or not. or if the vaccine doesn't work then both an unvaccinated person and vaccinated person can catch and spead covid 19. either way neither party should be discriminated against.

I love Thai food, and this place always satisfies my cravings! My favorite items are the orange chicken - crispy and zesty - and the classic Pad See Ew. Service is relatively fast and the restaurant is beautiful and I love the atmosphere! Great place for a nice lunch or dinner with friends!

Garlic wings, shrimp spring rolls, chicken satay, East West steak..... can't go wrong with any of them. I recommend the spicy sauce for the wings, but be prepared to sweat a little

The food is almost always good, and usually fantastic. We've been eating here for 12 years. The past 5 years or so, the service has been getting progressively worse. They really need more people on the floor: a hostess, a designated to-go order person, an extra server or 2 during rush hours...It's sad because we love the place. We still get take-out regularly, but we won't dine in anymore. It's just too painful.

Food was good, service from online order was horrible. Was told to pick up food in 25 minutes, got there and had to wait another 45 minutes. Owner yelled at me for complaining. Won't go back after this

From what I saw, currently not open indoors for dine-in. Service here is a little slow when I normally dine in, but the staff are very polite and attentive. The food here is also fantastic. Honestly, every time i've been here I have tried a new dish, and it has always been flavorful, filling, and delicious.

I love this place! It's my go-to-place every time I crave Thai food. The food is delicious, the place is nice and the staff is friendly. Sometimes when they are busy, the service can be little bit on the slower side, but it is well worth the wait.

My friends and I usually visit this restaurants on Sunday evenings. The interior is so beautiful. All the people who work there are very nice. One lady remembered the majority of the items I have ordered. We love coming here and enjoying their delicious food!

I had the pineapple fried rice. It came in a scooped out pineapple. Very interesting way to display the plate. The Golden Triangles was our appetizer. They were crunchy, but not greasy and came with a very wonderful tasting sauce. One friend had the red curry, the other had spicy Drunken noodles. Everything tasty and devoured. I would definitely recommend this place. Great friendly service too.

We ordered drunken noodles which was exchanged by another table and we did not get a replacement, where as the other table got one. They where not even crowded to mess up orders. Noodles where burnt and so was the chicken. Paid for bad service and bad food very disappointed with this place.

We visit here several times a year. We love Thai food. This is not one of my favorite places to visit primarily because of the service. I asked for mild spice. My husband asked for medium spice. His was probably the equivalent of mild and mine had no spice at all. The first time we came here we really enjoyed the service and the food. I can honestly say since then it has gone downhill and continues in that direction.

Lived in San Diego for 16 years. Takhrai Thai has, bar none, the best yellow curry & Pad Woon Sen. Must be excellent wok hei in that kitchen to achieve such distinguished flavor in the Pad Woon Sen. Would love to see how it's prepared & cooked as my own doesn't hold a candle to theirs!
