Vietnamese and Thai favorites including seafood! Full bar; relaxed urban environment
Thai & Vietnamese food restaurant in Avalon.
Great vice Atmosphere with cozy booth & tables.
We went on Thursday night dinner and all table was full. Recommend making reservations for dinner.
I was nervous about mango and fried wings but appetizer mango wings were our favorite!
Chicken wings were so tender and juicy yet skins were so crispy. The sauce was flavorful and mango was extra kick and made it even better.
Definitely recommend soft shell pineapple curry. On the website, crabs were in the curry but it came out on the side. I recommend putting them in your curry it will observe the curry sauce and make the shell softer !
We also really enjoyed green tea cheesecake with ice cream.
I enjoyed district III since you enjoy both Vietnamese food and thai food at the same time.
Great vegetarian options & staffs were attentive and friendly.
Willing to visit again to try more!
My family and I stayed at The Hotel at Avalon a few weeks ago and needed a spot to eat dinner. We wandered around and finally found The District III; we weren’t sure what to expect, but it did not disappoint!! The food was AMAZING! I got the drunken Thai noodles with the level 2 heat- it was pretty spicy, but extremely flavorful. The rest of the family had pho, pad Thai, curry, and we enjoyed a few appetizers (spring rolls and egg rolls). Annie was our server and she was very sweet in answering our questions and taking care of us. She recommended the mango sticky rice dessert and it was delicious. Reese made us amazing, tasty drinks, too. If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely be back!
I've come to this area for work for a few years in a row and this place has never disappointed! At the recommendation of one of the servers, I tried the drunken noodles today. They had a little bit too much of a kick for me (I truly can't handle any spice 😂🤦♀️) , so I just ordered a new one without any spice and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken egg rolls are also perfection. Everyone was so friendly, and the food came super fast. Highly recommend!
I decided to go visit District III at the Avalon today and I have to say that I will not be returning. I have always enjoyed the restaurant and had not been back in a while and was excited to eat there tonight but unfortunately I did not have a great experience with the customer service. I sat at the bar and I entered the restaurant right before another Caucasian young couple. We all sat at the bar and although I had sat down first, the Caucasian bartender went around the bar to greet the couple and bypassed me. He proceeded to take the other couples order and then came and took my order five minutes or so after theirs from behind the bar. I ordered a tom yum soup and a beef salad at around 7:50pm. My soup came out around 8:10pm and mind you the couple had ordered chicken with mixed vegetables and rice along with other things but they received their order before I could receive a small soup. I had my soup and around 8:30pm I realized that my beef salad was taking a while so I asked the bartender where the salad was? He proceeded to put in the order and I asked him about the salad and he confirmed that he had forgotten and that it will take 10 minutes to get the salad out…. That’s when I proceeded to let him know that I no longer want the salad, at this point it was now 8:40 and I’ve been waiting 50 minutes for a salad that was never put in. I asked for my tab and paid the bill excluding the salad. I had a word with the manager and she offered to comp the bill but I refused because that’s not why I came to the restaurant and I had ordered something else to go prior to my salad not making it to the table. I can afford to pay for my bill otherwise I would not have come to the restaurant. I am truly disappointed in my experience and I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
We went for a family and friends dinner. Atmosphere is nice. Also service is fantastic.
Food tasted good and fresh. I have been to other Vietnamese restaurants. The food was same. I will say it is good. Slightly pricy thoug..that may be because of the location. You can get the similar taste at other Vietnamese restaurant.
Service was excellent.
I've been here a handful of times in the last few years and it has consistently been wonderful. The food is always delicious and the service has always been excellent. The last time we were at District 3 we really enjoyed the Pad Thai and Massaman curry. The fresh spring rolls are good too!
Not too busy on a weeknight. Parked in nearby garage.
best viet & thai restaurant in Alpharetta! hands down 10000 stars! dine in & take out always awesome!
I hate to write reviews like , but this restaurant suffered enormously from a change in ownership. The Pho Chicken used to be amazing, with rich, buttery broth; unfortunately today it was tastes as though they've just boiled a bouillon cube and added noodles. This used to be my go-to spot for spectacular bowl of soup. Now I doubt I will be back
Great experience! Very inviting vibe!

Absolutely loved this place! The pho was incredibly flavorful with a rich, aromatic broth and fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. Don’t skip the shrimp eggrolls—they’re perfection! The drinks are amazing as well! A must-visit for pho lovers. 🍜👏
I wouldn't call this restaurant "Vietnamese". The menu is mostly Thai and it was nothing spectacular. It took over 20 minutes for our food.
Everything about my dining experience was outstanding! I ordered the Pad Prik King and absolutely loved it! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and aesthetic of the restaurant, too.
The BEST Massaman Curry I have EVER had. I eat it dining in, I eat it take out, I eat it delivered. You have to try it!! My kids like the pad Thai, District III crab dip and my husband likes the drunken noodles with beef. But they also eat my leftover massaman curry if they get to it first!!! Haha.
Don’t forget to order the mangos and sticky rice when it’s on the menu. You won’t be disappointed!!!!!!
And if you are super hungry the chicken egg rolls are perfection.
I went on a date and did everything I could to not eat like I have no home training. OMG. Delicious!

I recently visited District III with my friends, and unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. From the start, we were seated in the back of the restaurant, which already felt isolating. Despite ordering promptly, our food never arrived—even after waiting over an hour. We watched as other tables, seated long after us, received their meals in a timely manner.
When we addressed the issue with the staff, we were told they were short-staffed, which did not explain why other tables were being served while we were ignored. The treatment we received felt discriminatory and unacceptable.
This type of experience should never happen in any establishment. Until this restaurant takes accountability and treats all guests with fairness and respect, I cannot recommend District III.
We were late to see a movie so had to box and leave our entrees with the server (he kindly refrigerated them and we picked up after the movie). We had Drunken Noodles and Fried Rice. Both really good.
We had an AMAZING dining experience!! The food and cocktails were DELICIOUS!! Our server was well versed with the menu, making great suggestions. I suggest the salmon and the duck you will thank me later.
1st time here & will be back here next time when I visit GA
The pho tai and the service was great!

Great restaurant and good food! RUDE STAFF! Don’t try and get them on the phone if they’re busy!
Trash. Honestly the food is great and the atmosphere is nice. HOWEVER if you ever need to order online via the app THEY recommend good luck. If it’s too much for them DoorDash and Uber will be unavailable! If you happen to call the restaurant and inquire they will literally hang up on you and not answer if you call back. The prior management was superb and very professional. These people are trash!
Amazing crab fried rice
service was great and the food was really good. but hopefully this helps, the meat are kinda over cooked so it wasnt that tender. but great restaurant. recommended👍
Service was good, I ordered the crab dip and it tasted like melted peanut butter with crab, tried the duck and it was so salty I had to send it back. Drinks were on point
Literally my favorite restaurant in the Avalon there roti and curry is THE BEST. Phone is also amazing! Cocktails are on point. Service is impeccable.
I really did enjoy the food in this place. And I was having a good time with a friend. The reason I gave it three stars for the atmosphere is because it is in a strip mall. So, as far as ambiance, it's a bit MEH!!! But the food was good. This service was okay,
With the typical, hurry up and "order and eat" ... And I know that that I was not there for the experience of a high-end restaurant.... but To me, eating out is more of an experience, then just a function. The but the food was good.I recommend it.
Fantastic place to grab a relaxing bite while shopping at Avalon.
Food is always excellent!
Food is amazing but was surprised to get a 15% service charge added to my bill. Asked the waiter what it was and she couldn’t explain. Is the service charge the tip or do you have to add gratuity in addition to their service charge?
Definitely expensive as we order 2 entree and water and bill was 51.
Crab dip appetizer was star of the meal. Grilled Pork Vermicelli was good, but not great as was dessert (Mango sweet rice). Pricy for 2 @ $75 when we both drank water.
Service isn't bad but the food is seriously lacking flavor. Calamari was ok. Mixed veggies were ok and I added seafood for an additional $7. I asked for a little spicy but it lacked spice and general seasoning. I wouldn't return.

Love this food!
The waiter was outstanding . His attention to detail of our likes and dislikes made the dining experience wonderful
I love District III! Food and service both great.
Love this place. The decor is so elegant, the servers are all so kind and give great service, and the food is amazing if you love thai/vietnamese food. Great pho, fried rice, pad thai, spring rolls, and more. Have been many times and will come back many more.
Nice Vietnamese restaurant in Avalon area. Loved food and ambiance. Must try
Very basic Vietnamese experience. Food tasted bland and far from authentic. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.
So their noodles were already cooked before we coming. When we had it, noodles were really overcooked that it was almost one whole piece of chunk. We literally spooned the pho. They are not authentic. Pat Thai noodles are thin as angel hair, which seems not original.
Pho/ Pat thai is Not delicious at all.
I would go to other restaurant.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. A woman that we took to be the owner took great care of us and suggested dishes we might like while the wait staff very efficiently served us. The Thai food was simply delicious, with just the right seasonings and spices.
I went with a friend for lunch and really enjoyed the food especially the Panang curry. The service was also great!
Here in business and just needed delivery. They use DoorDash but I ordered directly through their website. it was really nice that they had a 15% discount on the food when you ordered online it helped reduce the pain of a delivery fee + a service fee. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and Pad See Ew with chicken, any other type of meat had an up charge. The spring rolls were delicious and very fresh. The rice paper was very moist. Really liked them and the sauce on the side was great as well. Also enjoyed the Pad See Ew. The chicken seemed a little on the dry side, and the sauce seemed diluted. It didn’t have as strong of flavor as I’ve typically had but overall the flavor was really good (I did ask for mild spice, but I wouldn’t think that would dilute the flavor of the sauce). Was a really nice option for all the food places in Avalon by the hotel.
Great place, with great food.
Not the original DIII owner or menu. No longer Vietnamese but now all Thai. Food & service was okay. So disappointing… this was a former favourite for us at Avalon.
If you come to Alpharetta District lll is the place to have dinner. Great choices, delicious food!!
Super awesome- try the deep sea volcano!! Great presentation, full of seafood and a delicious broth!
I wanted to like this place. The interior was nice. It's a small, pretty intimate place. We were seated immediately. We got a shrimp app and it was very good. Oddly enough the app came out before the drinks. I ordered the steak medium. It was pretty rare. It was tough and too fatty. Not good. Didn't have much flavor. My wife's was so so.
I think the shrimp app was the best thing. My sticky rice came in a covered bowl. When I opened it the rice was in a bag I had to open. Not sure if that is normal but it didn't come off professionally. Especially for the price. Unfortunately we won't be going back.
Great amazing food. Highly recommend this Vietnamese / Thai joint. It’s a little small, but splendid. Price is a bit high, yet priced right for the location and taste.
Highly recommend the Pho !! And the quantity is plenty for 1.
The District III is easily over looked due to its location in Avalon. That said, don’t sleep on it, it’s a great date night spot. The ambience in the evening is a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of Avalon. During the day, it’s a great place for a business lunch because the menu is very diverse, affordable, super yummy, and the dinning room is the perfect volume for important conversations.
I was pretty disappointed that my whole red snapper was not left whole when cooked. The appeal of getting the whole snapper is the outside is crispy and inside stays moist. By cutting all the meat off and frying it in strip, ruins what makes "whole" fried fish great. And my green papaya Salad had zero heat to it... not just a little, none.
Couldn’t be more excellent.
Fresh and my cocktail was also delicious
The Pho, Shrimp Salad and Drunken Noodles were all good but the highlight of the meal was the Sticky Rice Mango desert. Definitely try that out. It's fantastic.
Decent pho but very expensive for just pho. Chairs were too small for my wife and she isn’t an overly large person. For this price i would expect better quality pho or just more of it. Portion size and meat allowance was small given the price. Wouldn’t come back here if I had other options but it wasn’t a bad time, I’ve just had much better at better pricing.
Good food. And nice place.
The pho was decent but the bun was only ok. Way too expensive as well.
Get the Basil Fried rice and the Satay chicken...😋❤️👍
The atmosphere and service are great, however food is not that great, we got tofu pad thai and chicken pad thai, it was too sticky and not that flavorful
Went on a mid Saturday. Place was empty, surprising given how good the food was. Some great Pho. The desserts were delicious.
Service was quick and friendly.
Great place to take a date.
Really nice staff! We liked the veggie pho and the massaman curry (though it had a heavier peanut butter flavor than others we've had.)
Food was outstanding - had the massaman curry, service was great, would thoroughly recommend.
This is great Vietnamese & Thai restaurant at the Avalon. The chicken satay was an absolutely delicious appetizer! The flavor was impeccable. I got shrimp fried rice, and he got pad Thai. The pad Thai was exceptional. It has a super good flavor and is cooking amazingly. The fried rice was good, however, it has a LOT of onions in it. I am not an onion fan, so this wasn’t my fav. They have different spice levels you can add to your dish, or none at all. We really enjoyed this spot, and my Thai boyfriend said it’s authentic and he wants to come back!! Can’t wait to try again.
Great food, excellent service and great location
The green mango salad it to die for!
I can not stress enough how wonderful this restaurant is on all front! The food is amazing and fresh and straight from the owners garden (which she will show you). The drinks are out of this world and the service and ambience are second to none. This is now my new favorite restaurant in north Georgia!
Food was amazing! My kids are picky eaters and they ate all their Pho and pineapple fry rice. All the foods was super fresh and very tasty. Super clean restaurant and very friendly staff.
If you are looking for a real authentic then this is not the one. Plus, the foods doesn't need to be this expensive. Go figure
Good food
I’ve been to many pho places and the food is alright compared to the other ones which will serve better tasting food for half the price and double the portion. When I went my second time, I ordered pho and my noodles were clumped together. Personally I wouldn’t eat here again, since there are better options in Avalon for the same or even lesser price. The only thing I’d go back for is the seasonal mango sticky rice. It was AMAZING. Hopefully they make that a regular year-round item on the menu.
I visit here often after work. I took my mother here for mother's day. The food was great.
Awesome food but bad and slow service! Also be careful of the 20% gratuity that is automatically added to the bill - which the service doesn’t deserve at all.
Excellent food. Btl of Pinot Grigio for $49 was below average and over priced for what it was. Food and service very good - would go back. 4 stars as no atmosphere and decor could do with a freshen up maybe.
Really delicious food, offering Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese dishes.... and they'll make it authentically hot if you are accustomed to Asian spice! If you have Thai favorites that you miss, ask the chef... ;) They have gluten free dishes clearly marked on the menu, and I'm celiac and have dined here for years on a variety of truly delectable dishes without getting cross-contaminated. If you plan to have a luxurious meal, just let the server know and they'll adjust to your pace so that you can enjoy what happens over the meal you savor together.
Awesome atmosphere and hella good pho... And the music playlist was on point..😎😎
Best Vietnamese ever! Love the decor, service, and food was above and beyond!
Good pho and very quick service. Cocktails were good too. Was not very busy so got seats quickly. Had the combo pho it was great.
This was my first time at District III. The decor and ambiance is really nice, making it a cute spot for date night. We both ordered the beef filet phò and shared the shrimp and pork egg rolls. I’ve been to several Vietnamese restaurants and District III has the best broth by far. It had a really good balance of savory and sweet. Not heavy on either. My blue island drink was also really good. Overall, District III is a great option for your phò needs and I’ll be back to try other menu items.
Awesome service and ambience!! The restaurant owner is so nice to talk with. Food was great! Great service!!
Changed mgmt. food quality has declined
Pho soup when I first went there was around $13, now is $19 and smaller than before. It has just some filet mignon inside.
Fantastic Pho and atmosphere!
Decided to check this place out several years ago while shopping at Avalon. Nice atmosphere, friendly & attentive waitstaff. We have been back many times since. Great food from soups, noodles, pots, fried rice and always consistent. Worthy spot as is their sister restaurant, MF Sushi, next door.
Came in while there were only 3 tables taken in the whole joint, stood waiting for 10 minutes, sat at the bar for another 10 minutes, was never even approached by either of the 2 older ladies who were stood maybe 6 feet away
Portions are very small compared to other restaurants and the price. Shame in you. Total rip off
Food was really really good! Service was also great. Simple interior but really enjoyed our meal.
Best Pho I’ve had in a while!
This was my first time at this place. It had a clean look and nice atmosphere. The wait staff were friendly and pleasant. It was a bit expensive, particularly for lunch. I was by myself, and the final bill was $55, including a 19% tip. When I go to a new Vietnamese restaurant, I usually get the same dishes, or as close as I can find on the menu. I usually try the Chia Gio (often called Spring Rolls) and Gà Xào Sả Ớt (Chicken with Lemongrass). The menu did not have any Vietnamese names, so it was tricky to find the dishes I wanted. I got what they called Imperial Rolls and Chicken Lemongrass Stir-Fry. And at this meal, I also got a dessert.
The Imperial Rolls seemed to be filled with the usual ingredients, as expected. They had a good flavor. But the wrapper was not the usual rice paper. The wrapper was close to the crunchy wrapper of a Chinese egg-roll, which I don't care for. And instead of the usual Nước Mắm dipping sauce, they served a thick sweet sauce that is more like what I have found at Thai restaurants. I didn't care for it. I really like the usual Nước Mắm sauce. Overall they were OK, but I would not order them again.
The Chick Lemongrass stir-fry was a bit different than the dish I usually get. This was cooked with lots of onion. Though, it had a fairly mellow flavor. And it was served over lettuce. Overall, I thought the flavor was good. But I still prefer the dish I usually get at other Vietnamese restaurants. The chicken in those seem to have a bit more of a grilled type flavor. This dish would not make me want to come back again.
I usually do not order dessert. But the banana rolls with chocolate sauce piqued my interest. The chocolate sauce was interesting. It is very hard to describe. It was light, and yet sort of rich, at the same time. I would not order it again. But I'm not a dessert person, so don't let my opinion push you away from this dessert.
I said it was a bit expensive. But the size of the dishes was fairly large. I had enough food for at least two people, probably a little more. So the cost may be in line with other comparable restaurants.
I would like it if they also offered a much smaller size of their dishes, so I could order more than one thing.
Overall, it was good. But I have not decided whether it was good enough to go back. I'll be thinking twice about the cost.
Pad Thai’s are Best
This was my favorite restaurant in Alpharetta until today! Costumer service 0 stars! They won't help you or resolve the problem if you had with them!
The food is not worth the price you pay. Not authentic
Had a phenomenal meal here. I didn’t expect the wings to be so good, they had some fish sauce marinade which was absolutely amazing. The wings were very crispy as well! The pho was pretty solid as well. I also had the Pad Thai wish was delicious. The service was good, the servers were attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is very nicely designed and aesthetic. Bathrooms are clean as well.
This is the problem with trying to make Pho “upscale” the pho combo was missing so much meat compared to what a traditional pho has.
Over priced
Will not return.
Please re evaluate your dished. This authentic. Very Americanized
It was a late lunch early dinner. Filet pho. Large enough for two or maybe I have a small appetite. Delicious.
I went to this restaurant based on the reviews, but I was sadly disappointed 😔.
I order (10/7/2022) 2 pai thai
1 fresh spring rolls
2 Thai ice tea.
The pad thai noodles was seized up and compact together. There was no flavor, the egg in the pai thai was moist and more flavorful than the chicken.
The scallions were over cooked and seem like they’ve been microwaved.
Why is the peanut sauce, granny and chunky?
They even messed up the Thai tea, it tasted water down, even though it didn’t have ice.
In good conscious, I cannot recommend this place, unless you want somebody you don’t like to go there. Definitely not worth the $70+ dollars I spent.
I love the food just wish they didn't remove the Saigon noodles from the menu!! That was my number one favorite and go to!! Please bring it back lol
One of my favorite hidden gems in the Avalon. I have been living here for a few years and it's never overly crowded like most places here and the food is always really good!
Very flavorful Pho broth. Fresh Spring rolls were great too. Only down side you can't select a smaller bowl as the standard size can be too big for some to finish. But... you can have leftovers!
Lovely restaurant and something different than typical cuisine. we ordered the Lemongrass Noodles with shrimp and the shaken beef. The lemongrass flavor was strong and flavorful. The fresh veggies with the dish were a nice touch. The shaken beef was tender and very sweet. The rice was a perfect accompaniment. For two with no drinks lunch was $50- a little on the steep side.
Friendly servers food was good
Good food, attentive service!!
Beautiful restaurant and wonderful food will definitely come back..
The quality of the food dropped like a brick on a swimming pool.
This is the fifth time in the past 12 months we ate at this place, and today (07/09/2022) couldn't be worst. One of my favorites in this place was the curry chicken bowl.
The plate arrived as usual with great presentation, missing the chicken. There was a lot of potatoes, carrots, and chicken skin 🤮
This is a Vietnamese restaurant in the Avalon mall. It is right at the end of the mall near Starbucks and The Hotel at Avalon. The interiors were beautifully decorated in pastel colors and the pictures on the walls gave glimpses of Vietnam. The seating was a little cramped though.
We went to this restaurant expecting to have flavourful and spicy food but the food did not meet our expectations.
For appetizer, we had ordered Crispy Butter Eggplant. For entree, we chose Grilled Chicken Vermicelli Noodle and Spicy Basil Shrimp with jasmine rice.
The food was bland and every dish we ordered was on the sweet side. The prices were reasonable though.
In a word: understated. This restaurant is in a very desirable area as it is adjacent to the Hotel Avalon. The interior has a nice bar area and there are plenty of seating for large and small parties. The menu is varied and has the traditional Pho/noodles but also a good variety of Chinese dishes such as broccoli beef, which I ordered. I liked the Chinese chicken salad with grilled shrimp, calamari and sesame seeds with the fish sauce dressing.
Food too sweet and mediocre quality. Ordered clay pot chicken - rubbery chicken in a thick sugary sauce. Veggie tofu stir fry mediocre at best. Garlic eggplant was deep fried and sweet. Drunken noodles w seafood- rubbery and lettuce added to make it look bigger- lettuce was too drenched in sauce to eat.
Best Pad Thai ever!!!
Always our best place for Pho for us.
Maybe it was the time (4 pm on Saturday); perhaps it was the day, but my experience today was not the best. My crab-fried rice was incredibly bland. My dish had two crab claws atop plain rice and uncooked onions. The crab meat in the dish tastes more like a canned crab than fresh crab. No one greeted us immediately, nor did anyone seem very enthusiastic about our potential spending. Someone checked on us, but our water glasses weren't refreshed until they came to clean off the table (we only drank water). The shrimp eggrolls were delicious; the $15 for my dish was not worth it and may cause me not to try this place again.
Good food
Had an absolutely delicious dinner. I had the grilled pork and my GF had the fried tofu. Both fresh and outstanding in taste.
Amazing experience
Very tasty and spicy at a reasonable price. Got the drunken noodles at medium spicy and it was pretty dang hot. Very good 👍
Meal was comped. Found a hair in my food.
Food was ok, service could improve
This is a great spot to grab lunch and a drink at an affordable price. My wife and I like to stop in for the amazing Pho. The staff and food are amazing. Until next time!
This place used to be pretty good but now it isn't.
The taste of the food has changed as well the amount has decreased as well.
It is not the worst, but disappointing.
Overall service is good though.
Good Pho but the service here is not great and really slow
I’m a Vietnamese American and I believe this place was wonderful! I highly recommend the Vietnamese dishes like the pho combo, it’s definitely a classic of the meat options. Broth was flavorful and the portion was plentiful. The mango stick rice was the perfect way to end the evening. The cocktails were creative and delicious. I’m not sure the reviews that state it’s bland (maybe they’re comparing it to non-Vietnamese dishes), but it’s far from that and authentic to top it off. Ambiance is beautiful, perfect for date night. The prices were also reasonable and comparable to the smaller Vietnamese restaurants in town.
I think about the clay pot chicken I had there EVERYDAY. This was my first time trying Vietnamese food as a picky eater, and I fell in love. Also a cute little vibe.
