In 1994, Walla and Michael moved their family from the bustling streets of Los Angeles to the quiet suburbs of Palmdale, CA. Finding that there were not many options for quality Thai food in the Antelope Valley, we decided to open a restaurant to fill that niche.
Our goal was to serve the freshest food, flavors reminiscent of our childhoods in Thailand- aromatic, spicy, salty, sweet and tangy, all robust yet balanced. The harmony of those flavors incorporates organically grown ingredients from their own garden, such as fresh kaffir lime leaves.
12/27/24 Fri @ noon.
This place is a gem. It's not a big restaurant, but it makes up for it with the best food and cozy relaxing atmosphere.
The waiter was very patient, as we had 2 elderly guests with us. He brought us everything soon enough. Food took around 20min to arrive.
fyi: It gets busy at lunch.
Just be prepared for the variety in the menu. So many good dishes. I ordered simple pork chow mein, and it was the best I've ever tried!
Too much good stuff to list. You just have to try it once.
I love this place. Tucked away on the corner of a strip mall, this place is magical inside. It's suitable for a date or casual meal. The food is constantly excellent. They have special surprises on the menu such as the fresh coconut milk in the coconut shell!! I highly recommend this restaurant!
I can't recommend this Thai restaurant enough! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We love that
Now, let's talk about the important part. THE FOOD!
I started with the Tom Yum soup, which was perfectly balanced with a mix of tangy, spicy, and savory flavors. For the main course, I had the Pad Thai. YUM! The noodles were perfectly cooked, the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness, and the portion size was generous. I also tried the pineapple curry, the richness of the coconut milk paired with the fresh vegetables was chefs kiss!
I have so many dishes I want to try. Can't wait to return.
If you're a fan of Thai cuisine or looking to try something new, this place should be at the top of your list.
After looking around for a good Thai restaurant we saw this one with good reviews. It was a last minute stop for Father's day, we do regret having stopped by 30 minutes before closing.
Parking was accessible since the restaurant is within a plaza which has other stores. Food is good, service is good as well. The menu has several choices of food, including vegetarian options also a variety of drinks. The dinning area is a somewhat small however we do recommend this restaurant !
I ordered a Spicy & Sour Seafood soup and they didn't add any shrimp and only 2 pieces of fish and 2 pieces of mushrooms. There was more Vegetables then anything else. I've had other issues with there orders before and this is the last time order from this place. Way to expensive for the food. This place misses orders and not a recommendable place.
We love this restaurant! Great family owned, atmosphere and ambience is great, service is the best, and most of all food is delicious! So worth the 40min. drive for us from the San Fernando Valley! Thank you from the Hernandez family!
Came here as it was highly recommended by family to try .... It was fine? The deep fried oysters were incredibly unpleasant to eat. They tasted dirty , as if they were not a good quality oyster, also some weird black and green liquid came out of them. The rice was fine and the Pad Thai was , again, fine. Nothing spectacular. Maybe I just didn't order the best food they have to offer. Again it was all fine spare those oysters.
This place was great and the food was delicious. The server went out of his way to explain the dishes. This place is a must.
Food is so good here! This is our go to for Thai food! Update: the food is wayyy too salty now days
Prices are higher and portions are smaller. My white rice was so mushy, definitely over cooked.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. This is the best thai food in the entire antelope valley..very quick service and good prices for the portion size. Highly recommend the pad thai, padded se ew, and fried rice!
Good food but prices are high and portions are small.
We always get the chicken
Pad thai, orange chicken and bbq chicken sticks for the kids. Best Thai food in
The valley

Not worth it. Full price chicken curry plate with no rice and the shrimp fried was mostly rice with a few shrimp. Dont recommend it, there is better Thai food elsewhere in the AV.

Prices are ok now with inflation you know what to expect
Pork sticks barely cooked ... Bareley touched a grill eeewwww then no sauce.... Eewwwww .. rice in a bag of no .... All bad never again

Delicious food
Especially the wor womtom soup
GREAT food and service
I will start off with why I am upset. I am upset that I did not know about this place sooner! Wow! The staff and owner are so friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere and love the vibe of this place. Service was top notch. I had the green tea to drink and they sweeten it perfectly. Not too much and not too little.
We started off with the coconut chicken soup. So good and soothing. I would LOVE to order it every time I get sick because it seems PERFECT for that. I caught myself just sipping on that broth alot. Get this soup! The lemony coconut base was so good.
Next dish, the papaya salad. So refreshing and tasty. I definitely want to try it with a little bit of spice next time but it was PERFECT without it, too. If you want a salad, go with the papaya salad.
I love me some Thai fried rice and this is the first place I have been to that offers it with pork belly, so we had to. I quite enjoy the way they make their pork belly. Slight crunch on the outside. It had a soft chicharron vibe to it and complimented the rice really well. So tasty.
I LOVE pad see iew so I had to get it. We got it with beef and it was so good. Great flavor, perfect amount of veggies, and I just really enjoyed it. My least favorite of what we got but still damn good.
Now it's time for my ABSOLUTE MOST FAVORITE... the spicy egg plant! Wow, I was blown away by this. Protein chosen for this one was chicken and it all complimented each other so well. Bursting with flavor and the egg plant was perfect. Even if I hated all the other items, which I didn't at all, I would keep coming back just for the spicy egg plant. WOW!
I usually get green curry when I get Thai but wanted to try something new. So we got the roasted duck curry. Wow! I personally recommend getting it with it's standard spice because it was PLENTY for this dish. Made a big fan of my partner as she LOVED it and so did I. Way to make it difficult for me to pick a curry in the future.
This place is top tier in so many ways. I usually dislike driving to Palmdale for food as I live in north west Lancaster. With places like this, a trip to east Palmdale isn't a problem at all. I can't wait to come back again and again!
We love this restaurant! Great family owned, atmosphere and ambience is great, service is the best, and most of all food is delicious! So worth the 40min. drive for us from the San Fernando Valley! Thank you from the Hernandez family!
My family and I have been going for 20 years. Best Thai food not in Thailand! Family owned business done right!
I can't recommend this Thai restaurant enough! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a fantastic meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We love that

The food is amazing here! I love their food and their service is great. The servers are very friendly and the food is always amazing no complaints. I always order for pickup and it’s always ready on time!
Found this fabulous place on the Internet as we were travelling to LA. Authentic and delicious food with attentive service. Portions are generous.
Pretty good but not worth the price for the portions. I usually spent $60 for myself for lunch and still end up hungry :(
Food was okay but I found a thread of a metal sponge in my pan fried noodles which is not at all clean or safe.
I love going here, it's my favorite Thai restaurant in the Antelope Valley. They have great options and wonderful service.
I'm a regular customer. We visit at least once a week.
Lately, the service has changed.
Yesterday I arrived at 8:45 pm and they wouldn't let us dine in.
Food is good, but service not anymore.
Really disappointed
I used to love this place, but quality unfortunately has gone down.
We ordered yesterday for a celebration, and the pad see ew had absolutely no flavor with overcooked chicken. The Thai fried rice was also super bland. The only thing decent was the chicken pineapple curry, and it had hardly any chicken.
We were highly disappointed.
Food pretty good 13.99 for for a small portion of orange chicken and you have to pay for the steamed rice. 15 dollars for a gallon of soup. Doesn't make sense but to each its own.
Food is good. People are friendly. Portion sizes are VERY small for the prize. Probably the smallest portions out of any of the Thai places I've been in the valley.
The waiting is understandable but it sucks to be a ignored. A quick "will be with you in abit" or any acknowledgement at all would be appreciated.
I greeted everyone because I hadn’t been there since the remodel and I am visually impaired and I was ignored and treated very poorly
Very good food.
My first time here and I have to say that food was delicious.
Best Thai food I’ve had anywhere. I had the cashew nut and basil stir fry dishes. Cheaper than most places for a meal, and better quality.
Nice place to enjoy a meal
nothing to eat here
Great food!!!
Best thai cuisine I've ever had
Waiting time is horrible after sitting you have to begi some one for service
Good food, good service. Can make most of the menu vegan.
Evretyn delicius!!
Too expensive gotta lower the prices bruh
Absolutely loved this place! Highly recommend!!
If you want Good Thai food in Palmdale this is the place to go too.. The Food is very good my favorite plates are the Glass Noodles and the sea food soup I always come here when I feel like Thai Food.
This food was not good at all, I got the shrimp fried rice that had 2 shrimp. The taste of the rice was weird and unpleasant. I also got the orange chicken and Mongolian beef. The orange chicken was decent but the beef was tasteless and tough.
Love the food very nice i will go there ag
The food here its delicious! recommended
Foods are tasty & good, esp. curry dishes.
Food, just ok. Not much for the price. 1-22-2024
Food was amazing and great atmosphere and service. Will be going back and adding to my favorites.
Wow, my first visit yo Shandra and I am impressed! What a cute, clean place. I actually ordered to go. This is definitely, really good Thai food. I have tried many Thai restaurants in my life and this one has amazing food. It's up there, in my book, as one that has the best tasting food. I will certainly return and eat in.
Excellent food and Service. Best Tahi I've had this side of Bangkok.
Great tood food portions. Service is also good.
Portions are TINY but the flavor is good.
Food was amazing
The amount of food we received was laughable. For the price per plate, it should have been at least enough for one person.
Food and service was excellent.
Try No. 49, roast duck noodle soup add Thai basil.
The seafood soup and dumplings were delicious
Been going there for years always great food 😋 and great people
Great food and service thank you love pad thai
I go here so often it's very cool but I think at least 5 waiters already know me and my family
Laid back joint with EXCELLENT food and attentive and friendly waitstaff. What's not to love? My go to is always the curries. This time I got the red curry-- check out that presentation. The flavor was even better! This is one of my two favorite Thai places in the AV to dine at.
I usually get the pad see ew chicken. One of my favorites in town.
Their aromatic dishes and cozy setting never failed to impress me.
This is my favorite place to eat thai food, great local, great people and delicious food.
Great Thai place, coconut shrimp and orange chicken very crunchy and flavorful. The seafood soup is delicious too.
Good food, can be hectic when busy
I love the Papaya Salad and Wontons. I also had the chow mein and it was dry. The orange Chicken was okay but a very small portion. Service was fine only checked on us once and we needed napkins.
I cannot believe how bad the food has gotten here. The Thai tea was so sugary I could not drink any of it. My glass noodle soup was so salty I had to send it back and asked for the coconut soup instead, and it too was so salty I had to add rice to make it edible. My daughter's yellow curry was so spicy she couldn't eat it, and she always orders yellow curry at every Thai place we go. I will never go back and I am so sad because this place was a stable for us during the pandemic and it is a tragedy. The place across the street is amazing and I strongly suggest going there.
After looking around for a good Thai restaurant we saw this one with good reviews. It was a last minute stop for Father's day, we do regret having stopped by 30 minutes before closing.

The food used to be amazing, we picked up food yesterday for the first time in 4 years and it was not like I remembered, chicken was very dry. The people that work there are very nice.
Always Amazing!
Delicious food, many choices. Great service. Keep up the good work 👏 @
I’ve always loved Shandra’s Thai! I’m so happy that since I am now vegan, I can still eat it!
EXCELENTE
Every time I came to this place I really enjoy the food!!!
Tom kha gai soup broth was a bit watered down & so was the peanut sauce. The fried rice & pineapple fried rice were both very tasty though
First time trying this place and it’s honestly super good!! Everything was fresh, customer service was great, the place is super clean and very nice vibe. Loved the food, would definitely go again and again! 😊👍
Great food and we love the service
Very organized and clean
BEST THAI IN ALL OF AV
Legit, from their Thai tea to their food, nothing is ever subpar! The food is 12/10, the Thai tea 100/10, everything here is DELICIOUS. My bf and I got the coconut chicken soup, the shrimp fried rice, and beef chow mein, plus you CANNOT forget the chicken egg rolls. All that amazing food was worth the price. We even had leftovers, and we ATE, lemme tell you. We were eating to our hearts content and we still had tons left over. Don’t even get me started on their customer service! They were attentive but also left us alone while we ate, super considerate and I have honestly not one bad thing to say about Shandra’s. Truly the best Thai place and I ain’t going anywhere else ever! Thanks Shandra’s!!
Food taste so salty and bad never going back again .
Love the rice cake with yummmy ube ice cream
I am a delivery driver, next time you ask me to wait a half hour I am charging the restaurant extra cash for the wait
My favorite place to get spicy beef noodle soup especially when I'm sick
Every since the male cook left the Beef Salad is Nasty we pay all that extra money for extras, yet the cook who makes the Beef Salad isn't doing it right, forgets ingredients, and the sauce is a yellow clear sauce which is so Nasty! Until they get a cook who knows how to cook Thai food right? I'll never go back!
Love the food is awesome every time I go... thanks so much
Great food and service. My family enjoys the food.
The WORST service. All the servers passed my table many times and i had to wait 30 minutes just to get a refill on three drinks. I sat another 30 minutes waiting for the check. They do not check up on you.
The first time I went here, it wasn't so great. However, I'm very happy I gave it another shot. The food is very tasty, especially the duck. The pad see lew is also recommended.
"If you're looking for an authentic Thai dining experience in Antelope Valley, look no further than this hidden gem of a restaurant! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere immediately transports you to the streets of Bangkok. The decor is simple yet elegant, featuring traditional Thai artifacts and lanterns, creating a cozy and intimate setting.
The menu is a culinary delight, offering a wide range of dishes that will tantalize your taste buds. The Tom Yum soup is a must-try, with a perfect balance of sour, sweet, and spicy flavors. The Pad Thai is another standout dish, made with perfectly stir-fried noodles, tender meats, and a savory sauce. And for those seeking a bit of heat, the Green Curry is an excellent choice, bursting with flavor and heat from the fresh chili paste.
The service is top-notch, with the staff always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful dining experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a delicious meal, this Thai restaurant is the perfect place to go.
In conclusion, if you're a fan of Thai cuisine or simply looking for a new dining adventure, this restaurant is a must-visit. With its delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent service, you won't be disappointed."
The food is incredibly sub-par here. I have given them three tries. On my last attempt, I ordered the fried rice with pork belly. For $16, I was definitely expecting a quality meal. Everything was dry and unseasoned. The service isn't that great either. Never again.
They don't give good attention, they make you wait too long, they are so unfriendly. I have seen that they come to bring door dash and the delivery men wait for up to 10 minutes standing, they really are the worst restaurant in the area
The shrimp spicy sour soup is geat!
Busy place especially at noon. Tasty food but not as authentic. Service is fairly quick. Atmosphere is loud and busy. No outdoor seating. Limited and tight parking. Not for RV. Restrooms available.
WE LOVED IT ME AND MY HUSBAND
Delicious food. Enjoyed how the upgraded the restaurant. Service was ok. Took a while to get refills and silverware. 🍽 🍴
Absolutely terrible 😵💫🤢🤮
I like everything about this lovely restaurant: the food, the staff, the new updates, and the prices. A favorite!
We are visiting the area from Texas and the food here was delicious!! My daughter had the Pad Thai, we had chicken dumplings and I had the Shrimp soup. We were so glad to find this place.
Rica su comida
The food here is so delicious
Yes is a good Thay food 🍲
Absolutely love this place, im 29 years old, been coming here since I was like 15. Since then to now the same unique taste is there. Only place that i have gone to that did not care about inflation. Price is the same. Great Food, Great Service. 10 / 10
I ordered cashews tofu and it was delicious. Being a vegan this hit the spot. Pricey though.
I love Shandra Thai they're real good.
Love the pad thai
