This was my first time at this restaurant. We were 4 people and only 4 more guests at restaurant. Not busy at all. Food was ok. I was not impressed with their salmon dish no flavor at all. Our brown rice was a very cold, not fresh. We had to asked for reheating the rice. Rice should never be kept in refrigerator and shouldn’t be used the next day. It’s unhealthy. I would not go back to this restaurant again.

I stopped by with a buddy and had lunch on a whim. The lunch specials and staff are excellent and under $20. I enjoyed it so much I ordered to go to take home for the Mrs.

Great service and they're taking covid seriously. I had their pad kee mow, which was great, a more savory version. I had it at medium spicy and am dying to try the higher spice levels. Lots of nice veggies to go with your noodles and protein (mine was calamari, yum!).

Clean and comfortable restaurant to enjoy a lovely meal! I usually get the Pumpkin Tod appetizer, Fresh Vegetable Tofu Rolls, vegan Pad Thai with tofu, Pumpkin Curry and Coconut Rice as takeout for a small party. Service is always reliable and food is consistently fresh and delicious.

We certainty we will be back. Food portions are generous and flavors are on point. We had the pumpkin soup and then a combo plate that had a fried egg roll the crispy pumpkin and potato wedges and chicken satay. Everything came out quickly and hot. I also had the ginger hot tea. It was so good I didn't have to do anything to it to make it taste good as far as my opinion goes. Service was excellent. I just wish they would play ethnically correct music. But that's a small point when you consider everything else was fantastic. Prices are reasonable. It's a little out of the way but worth looking for.

Fair. This is better for lunch than dinner and there are better options close by.

The food was yummy, and the location is in a sweet little spot. The service was quick and our server was very kind. I'll be back.

Hot & sour soup was not hot or sour. BBQ chicken was salty.

Horrible service. Their website says they deliver, so I placed an order directly on their website. When I called later to ask where my food was, she said it was on the way. When I called again 20 minutes later she told me they don't deliver. She then refused to refund my money.

So we stopped by chance here because I had lost my favorite face mask at Inspiration Point & were looking for a place to turn around in Orinda. I saw the restaurant and thought why not? We ordered, and headed to Inspiration Point to retrieve my mask (it was there!) and returned to Orinda to pick up the Thai food. Of course being during the shelter in place, they brought the food to our car & we headed home (where we dumped the food onto our serving dishes, filled up our plates & nuked everything for one minute to kill any lingering germs!). Probably the worst Thai food I've had in the bay area. Incredibly plain with no flavors excep from the sauce covering the food. We bought three dishes, all disappointed.

OMG!! The lettuce wraps with toasted coconut are so delicious and I do not like coconut!

Went into restaurant to pick up my phone order. Asked by 3 different people my name and what I ordered. Each time they looked thru 4 togo orders sitting on a table. After 10 mins, i looked at the 4 orders and found mine. It was sitting there the entire 10 mins i had to wait. Absurd.

Food was fresh and tasty, presentation was good, and service was fine. I ordered my food Thai spicy and it was not spicy at all. I'm never sure how to make someone understand that you're serious about spicy. 😁

It's OK. There aren't a lot of options in Orinda, so that colors my review. Curries are definitely better than noodle dishes here. Lunch specials are where it's at. They often don't answer their phone at lunchtime. Restaurant interior is dim and always a little cold.

Asked for a seperate bill at the beginning of meal, they said sure and at the end charged my take out order ontop of my company's dine-in order together, which was an inconvenience...also extra 2.00 extra charge to add broccoli as a substitute without being notified was kind of a bummer, but all in all DELICIOUS FOOD!

I placed an order through Uber- I called to add something- they were so rude. Never again! & I thought Thai culture is known for hospatility! Food was awful. Why get in service biz if you have such a bad attitude

Friendly, unassuming hole in the wall place with actually very good thai dishes for not much money. A good spot to stop at on evenings when you don't want to cook or need a little treat.

Bad food

Baan Thai has a great lunch special! They also have a pretty big menu for such a small place -- classic Thai dishes you would expect. The yellow curry is delicious! My one complaint is that every time I go the potatoes in my curry are under cooked and the potatoes are one of my favorite parts!
