Everything was very delicious we loved it. Place is cute and clean.

They are definitely short in staff I guess. We saw only 2 people managing everything. Good for casual dinner. Food is kind of okay. Other Thai restaurants in the same locality serves much better.

The yellow curry and the spicy fried rice was SO GOOD! Every thing we had was so good and tasted SO FRESH! Nancy was so helpful and gave us amazing suggestions, will be definitely coming back.

I love this place . I only go this place best brown rice . Today I order fish fleet and brown rice . But they sent me jasmine rice upset . Hopefully listen carefully. I can’t go back I already drive 10 miles

Please make sure you don't get scammed when paying and check for hidden charges or different looking receipts, if it wasn't for that it would have been a good place to be comfortable to dine in.

My wife loves the Thai Tea and Pad Thai here. I come here for her but the service is fantastic and the restaurant vibe lives up to its name; the furniture, lighting and set up is indeed modern AF.

We stopped by for a quick dinner on our first day in east LA. We had the orange chicken, kung Pao combination, jasmine and brown rice with iced green tea. The portions were large, food was delicious, hot, and the service friendly. It was a great start to the week.

Pad Thai was super greasy and had barely any sauce or flavor. Not good.

The food was quite tasty the rice just melted in your mouth. And the shrimp was cooked to perfection with just enough shrimp.

The Pad-Thai noodles were superb and not overcooked and the flavors were just out of this world.

Highly recommended Modern Thai Restaurant. After two weeks in USA, my family and I wanted to try a cuisine that was not Italian or Mexican. Very pleased we found this place. The friendly staff were happy to accommodate 100% vegetarian dishes (inc. no eggs). My personal favourites were the young coconut water and veg spicy rice 😋 👌

This is a great restaurant with good vegetarian options to choose from. We had multiple servers on the floor and out food was brought out super quickly! All of the food was so good, especially the Chow Mein and yellow curry! I also had the Strawberry Lemonade which tasted great! I would definitely come back and recommend it!

Food was good which we expected, wait time on a preorder was half an hour longer than they said it would be ready for pickup. We wouldn't have shown up when we did if we would've known it wasn't ready and to have to wait a whole half hour with my mother who I was telling about and giving high praise to the place and there we were sitting wondering when it was going to be ready... It didn't make them look good and it was a bit pricey to top it off.

I came to this Thai place that I have been coming for many years, and today, the waitress misunderstood our drink orders and had an attitude. All that needed to be done was to change it, and not give her customers a hard time. To avoid any confrontation with her, I did not acknowledge her when she brought our food out. She got upset I didn't say thank you after she brought our food to the table. So she said it to herself, very sarcastically. I asked her what was her problem, she replied that I did not order the Thai tea. I told her I want to speak with the owner and she said she was the owner. I don't understand, how this lady messed up a drink order from a long time customer, who always gets the same Thai Tea drink every time she's there. But there is a guy in Yelp who posted the same problem he had with her, that very same day. If she is the owner I feel sorry for the customers. She finally kicked me out of the place, all because of a misunderstanding over a drink order, which was her fault. Thru the years, I have brought a lot of people to this place. I can't believe something as simple as a drink mix up, which was her mistake, would cause bad customer service. She lacks good customer service skills and understanding.

Ordered takeout, Pad Se Ew with chicken and pad Thai with shrimp. It was about a 20min wait on a Wednesday evening. It was not busy at that time.. staff was nice and helpful. We enjoyed the food. Will come back again! Parking is a little crowded in this shopping center so expect drive around a little.

They seriously have so much flavor and it’s as better than the ones I’ve had at the “best LA thai spots” you can find. Really good quality ingredients here with perfect flavor. Totally recommend!

This is the worst place to ever order from. They don't check who they are giving your food to. My order was given to another delivery driver and tried to give my driver the wrong order to deliver. When I call they have an attitude and told it would be 15 minutes to remake, 30 minutes I call and get told your driver is getting it now and get hung up. I would never recommend anyone to order from here, they have the worst service and they don't care about customers.

Best spicy basil in town

Ordered food for a group of 6, food is always good to excellent here...... but today the waitress was in a bad to terrible mood. She made face of extreme displeasure when I requested more hot tea, sugar, and a spoon. Very bad customer service. When we asked for napkins and asked how many napkins did we want, with a face as if we where pulling her teeth out. Bad girl. I will go back to eat but I will request a different server next time.

The salad was a family recipe how I wish I could replicate the formula! And the service was...A+. There was only 1 lady on the floor but that did not stop her from providing great service! I'm always in awe that I can walk in as a delivery driver, sit and wait for food and see patrons be questioned of their HIPPA status just to eat.

It's amazing that the virus discriminates people by choosing to target those who are just trying to sit and eat, yet I walk in unvaccinated, healthy af, picking up someone's order and see people get turned away even though they are just as healthy

I'm not a fan of Thai but of all the Thai spots I've been invited to, this has been one of the best.

I walked in and placed an order of Combination fried rice, the combination fried rice, had shrimp, beef, chicken and pork for meats. The chicken was hard, the shrimp was not fresh because it smelled up the rice, the beef was more fat then beef and it was dry. I omitted the pork and I'm glad I did, based on the rest of the meats. I will never order this again and it was expensive. Maybe when you eat there inside it's better? I don't know.

One of my Mom's favorite spot. Their Pad Thai noodles with shrimp is delicious and I love their peanut sauce. Yummy!

I'd love to review this restaurant. We arrived at 8:20pm when their closing time is listed as 9pm and they stated their kitchen was already closed yet people were arriving to pick up their takeout orders. All open signs still turned on.

Had a wonderful dinner here tonight of delicious potstickers, soup, chicken pad Thai and veggie lovers along with brown rice. The service was great. Have had their food by takeout also and it is very tasty and packaged well for home, too.

So many people know where Miki-chan's is (a staple of Monterey Park cheap Chinese food)...
But, just a few doors down, what about Modern Thai... ?
When you need more than oily noodles, egg rolls, or cha siu — and have a couple more dollars than for Miki's, ready your taste-buds for a flavor explosion at Modern Thai!
Also, in comparison, since dishes are (customized and) prepared to order, your shrimp and/or crispy things will be PERFECTLY delicious and a bit spicy! (IMO, consistently balanced flavors, but they'll adjust 'spicy' to your preference.)

— curries, seafood, noodles; plus thai flavor bombs on tempura, tofu, stir-fry, tofu, BBQ, Pineapple!! and even salads.

* After one bite of just their fried rice, you'll be really glad you didn't order from a steam table...

First time ordering here and it was negative experience. The chicken we ordered was burned and dried. We could only eat some of it and it wasn't that tasty.

Only eaten here once but it was amazing! The portion was almost big enough to eat off it 2x, and very low price for what I got. However it was so good I ate it all at once. Very friendly staff and quick service. Got the cashew delight entree with chicken and it was delicious! Highly recommend this place, will be back if I'm in the area

Thai food is one of my favorite Thai restaurant. They a wide variety of thai dishes from their Modern Thai Fried rice to yellow curry chicken to their barbecues. Match it with a cold thai iced coffee or thai iced tea! Bon Appetit!

I ordered the pad see ew. They used regular broccoli. A little disappointed. And their carrots taste like frozen ones that you'd buy in bulk. I hadn't eaten here in awhile but I'm pretty sure when I came here years ago, they used the other greens (don't know the name of it). Because this is the first time I've ordered pad see ew and got regular broccoli in it.

This is more sentimental but this place is a hidden gem. The staff are totally chill and friendly. The food is good but it can vary from visit to visit.
