Solid Thai Food! Great outdoor space right near the beach. Service was fabulous.
We ordered the Vegetable Spring Rolls, Duck Curry and Drunken Noodles. The curry was one of the best I've had with a great balance of spice and spices. Drunken Noodles were exactly as expected with great textures and a generous amount of shrimp. Spring rolls arrived hot, crispy and delicious!
100% would go back. Brilliant!
I don’t like the smell of its back kitchen.
But the food is so good if you are thinking to have some Thai food for the day. I’ve always been here whenever I miss Thai food. I had tried some other places, but almost every dish here is soooo delicious.
After eating, just stepping out to walk on the Venice Canal. So convenient.
It used to be better
I’ve been here a few times over the years… but todays dinner was lacking
I had spicy eggplant with chicken, and papaya salad with shrimp
The papaya salad sure did not match the photo in the menu… Which had big plump, beautiful shrimp. What arrived on my actual meal was two previously frozen deep-fried shriveled up shrimp… Which I could not even eat
The spicy eggplant was pretty good
Overall, very disappointing and I don’t think I’ll be coming back here
Visiting Siamese Garden For Valentines Dinner Was Amazing! The Atmosphere was beautiful. Our server Chen was very attentive, friendly, welcoming, and made our experience so much better!
The food was of high quality, although lacking some flavor. We added some hot sauce + soy sauce though and it was quite delicious!🙏🏽🌹
My 2nd time dining here. The outdoor patio is cute. Food was good. I had the chicken Panang and pad Thai noodles with fried tofu. I liked them both. We shared the pineapple fried rice. It had way too much egg on it. It wasn’t very good. My husband had the fried catfish. He said it had too much thick breading on it. He didn’t care for it. The service was good. I do think they should update and clean the bathroom. It’s old and showing its age. Clean the interior it’s a turn off.
Overall, we had such a wonderful experience. I especially loved my tom yum noodle. Broth was delicious and authentic (I finished all the broth).
Panang curry was really flavorful. The mango sticky rice was appetizing, I especially like the crunchy toasted rice on top of the sticky rice.
We loved the ambience and open-air dining. Service was great and the lady waitress was so pleasant.
This is the worse Thai food ever in California. I found a worm in my food and the asian waitress treated me and my family rudely. Be aware they ONLY care about making sales and money. They are very sneaky and the portions are very small and the food was oily. DO NOT EAT HERE. I am caucasian and in my opinion race had to do with it. Be careful. Do NOT eat here!! There are better Thai places in the area.
Places like this are the reason I love coming to California. I got a Thai iced tea and won ton soup and both were incredible. They had nice jazz playing to accompany the beautiful seating arrangement. A truly lovely establishment 🙏

A hidden gem! Really tasty Thai food, service was great they were able to accommodate my shellfish allegedly, the space itself is open air which was really pleasant (lots of heaters to keep us warm!).

I absolutely love this place. I live 300 feet away and come here all of the time. They have great vegan options as well. The emerald curry is one of my go to options as well as the pad see ew without egg.
The food is amazing especially the soap. I would love to go there every day
Great quality and great service
"Siamese Garden is a hidden gem in the neighborhood, sitting right on the Venice Canals with a stunning view that enhances the experience. This cute, quaint spot is perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a romantic meal, a casual lunch, or dinner with friends. The Thai food is absolutely delicious, with amazing flavors that never disappoint. The prices are fair, the ambiance is cozy, and the staff is incredibly sweet. Highly recommend for an authentic and delightful dining experience!"
Fantastic flavors
I don’t like the smell of its back kitchen.

Absolutely delicious! You will not go wrong dining here.
Save your time and skip this place!
First impression the steamed dumplings looked and tasted like they came from Trader Joe’s frozen section. Needless to say my appetite was soured for the entree. Drunken Noodles with chicken had very little chicken and tasted of nothing except spice. Very poor quality food. Nothing memorable to make me return.
Incredible food and friendly staff
Great Thai food and what a great atmosphere.
The food is amazing, and the staff really friendly and helpful! Great vegan options! One of my favourite restaurants in the area.
The Masaman curry, the Eggplant and the Bok Choy dishes are sooo delicious, but everything I've tried is really really good.
Leckeres authentisches Essen, angenehme Heizpilze am Abend auf der Terrasse, netter Service
Perfect place! Great and kind staff, amazing service and delicious thai food 🤤
The staff was friendly and attentive. The food over all was delicious. The absolute best Tom Kha I've had in years!
The food was some of the best Thai food I've had in a while! My family was very hungry and still very satisfied by this meal. The view was also gorgeous! Make sure to try the massaman curry and the pad see ew!
The spicy catfish with young green peppercorns was FANTASTIC. So so tasty & texturally satisfying. Catfish was cooked genuinely perfectly, spoken as someone who has caught and cooked catfish many times. Atmosphere is wonderful with it being right on the canals, which you can take a nice stroll along afterwards. Service was excellent. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time!
My pad se ew was DELICIOUS and their Thai tea was so good I had to get two. It's so cute to be able to sit by the Venice Canals. Service was great, we had a great date night here.
i’ve been coming here for 5 years and it never disappoints :) every meal i try here is absolutely amazing and the staff is super nice! the view and the atmosphere are gorgeous as well! 10/10.

Solid restaurant with pretty good food and serving size. The crab fried rice was good. Service was good. Location was great, appreciated the covered dining area.
A hidden gem.
I have come for years from Santa Monica to this place.
Went here for a nice Saturday night dinner with my fiancé. The moment we sat down I noticed a sad lonely parrot in a cage in the corner. WHY? Is that supposed to be entertaining? Because it’s cruel. My stomach turned immediately and it totally ruined my night. Birds should not be kept in cages, it’s depressing and unsanitary in a restaurant setting. After looking at other reviews, I see other customers have been upset by this as well. I really hope the owner sees this and does the right thing.
The food is average, the service was wonderful. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable. We came during the day and the clear plastic barrier blocked all of the breeze so we sat there uncomfortable and sweating in the heat.. maybe make that removable for the daytime (I understand it's probably there to stop the cold ocean breeze at night) because all it did was block the breeze and make it almost unbearable in the daytime sun. The food wasn't terrible by any means but it wasn't authentically Thai.. much more Americanized and kind of blandish. I would go again if someone else really wanted to... But it's not a place that I would go out of my way to visit to again.
We got the emerald curry and pad Thai. Both were delicious! Very attentive service and liked being able to sit outdoors.
Great food. Nice atmosphere.
Parrot in cage !! Disgusting that you would keep a beautiful bird in a tiny cage in this day and age, no way if i saw this before would i eat in this restaurant. Food was ok...just ok...most things were beige in colour and fried, Thai food is so much better than this. The young Thai lady who served us was nice and happy, the older Thai lady was rude and tried to hurry us up...seems she left her smiles in the Land of smiles. Very expensive for what it is. The toilet you reach through the kitchen, don't visit this place !!!
My husband and I had a delicious lunch today.
The food was amazing 🤩, we ended up splitting everything, egg rolls, wonton shrimp 🍤 soup and Penang Shrimp with Jasmine rice… All was delicious and outstanding. The service was great! The place was clean.
We will return… thanks 😊
The food is amazing and the atmosphere is wonderful. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and all our plates are empty. We each got something different and they were all tasty. Service leaves a lot to be desired. My friend ordered shrimp and got chicken and then they charged us for shrimp. I asked for water for the table three times and then my male companion asked and suddenly we have water. 😐
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Reasonable prices for LA and pretty good portion sizes. Only thing we didn’t like was having to pay extra for rice. Overall, a great experience!
The atmosphere is so peaceful along the Venice canals. The service is amazing and the pad see ew is unbeatable in the area.
Amazing Tom Kha soup , will never forget the perfect taste. The Pad Thai and Curry was great too. Family friendly. The location is ok.
Tom kha gai, Massaman gai & Sticky rice with mango tasted like in Thailand- delicious!
We had the Drunken Noodles and Papaya Salad with a side of white rice. Really great vibe with outdoor seating.
I thought Thai food could never taste bad until my recent visit this place. We ordered flavored fish, papaya salad, Thai spicy fried rice, pad Thai, sticky rice with mango, angel wings and Thai ice tea. The flavored fish was sickly-sweet and came without rice . We could barely have a table spoon of this melliferous dish . We asked the servers if it was supposed to be that sugary and they couldn’t get the clue that we wanted it returned(couldn’t understand English well).Papaya salad was not spicy at and used too much vinegar. The Thai spicy chicken rice was the only dish we finished because it was the one that was better than others but was bland mixture of rice and oil. Angel wings was ground chicken stuffed in some crunchy wrap mixed with some herbs and tasted like plain tortilla chips . Then they decided to cook sticky rice and sprinkle some coconut milk on top and serve with mango. The coconut flavor was not absorbed by the rice as it should have been.
The Thai ice tea was good but I definitely wouldn’t drive all that way just for a tea.
We were pretty hungry and the pic below illustrates food that we left . Went back home and had dinner again. This is probably the worst dinner experience I had in a while and would prefer plain toasted bread and butter over the meal served here any day.
Ps best place to bring your cheating ex to dinner before you dump her or a business rival for casual lunch. Just accidentally spill their Thai ice tea if they order one.
We ordered and paid for rice and they didn’t include it then wrote on the delivery bag “rice not included”.
Serving sizes are small too. Better Thai options in the area to be fair, end of.
Very poor service, forgot our friend’s dish and then refused to put it in a to go tray or remove it from our bill.
We dine in and got our favs, tasty!
Although the food was decent our main entrees was missing our tofu and it never came so our dish got cold while waiting
Good food buena comida
Real Thai food! My favorite Thai soup is Tom Kai and it has been since I was in Phukett that I have had one as good as here. I am no expert but in my humble opinion, it is all about the proper mushrooms. This place nails it. Fresh, perfectly cooked rice lemongrass real coconut broth.......yum! I was too busy eating to take pictures! I had the teriyaki salmon too and it was cooked to perfection with a crispy outside and buttery inside. So Good!
Super good, and there’s a cute parrot too
If you love Thai restaurant, this is your place. Not only the food was really good but the servants are super nice. Also, the location is nice they have it at the canal and you can eat outside or inside.
Just a side note: the plates are smaller than other usual restaurants. The price is more at the higher spectrum but the food is worth it!
Nice place, good ambiance, fried calamari was good, steamed dumplings were good, jasmine rice was good, pad see ew could be better, that’s all the dishes I personally tried today.
Ka prao chicken is amazing! My go to spot
Still the best Thai restaurant in the MA del rey neighborhood.
Hope they will keep their cook forever.
Authentic taste of pad Thai, Tom Yum Kong.
Atmosphere is good.
No parking around.
It gets busy on the weekends.
I’ve been a regular here for a while… 2-3 years. I always love their chicken pad-se-ew and their service is always good and they’re always polite. I love the location in ambience as well . I was debating between four or five stars because there’s inconsistency in some of the other food items that I’ve liked and tried ordering again. Once I was told, depends on the chef, which makes sense I suppose. I’ll continue to come and am glad they stopped charging 18% as a service fee as well.
Gorgeous space but way overpriced and not really special in any way. Service is slow and inattentive.
18% gratuity is automatically added to the check. This isn't stated anywhere on the menu.
Hidden gem. I really enjoy this place for the relaxing atmosphere & great food. Selfishly I hope it does not get more popular because I love the fact it's not a bustling trendy spot like many (all) of the others I avoid in this area.
Esta horrible la comida y luego no son nada amables
This is one of the places to eat by the famous Venice canals...I personally love their pad tie...their Tom yum soup is to die for...also I love to have lychee drink...one of them is good...love the fact that it is out door with roof covering...the staff is very friendly..
This place is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to! The waitress and waiter were so nice and took great care of us the whole time! The food was absolutely amazing and filled us up! I highly recommend this place!
Very good food and service!
NOT RECOMMENDED ! The only good thing is the restaurant is located near the canal. Our overall experience was bad
The food tasted bad it's not authentic Thai.
Poor Service - The Service was so slow it took 30-40 mins to get food after ordering and No server came to check on us to see if we wanted water refill or food. We reminded them multiple times but no attention was given
Over price - All the food is overpriced and not worth the quality. They charged $2.50 for rice, shrimp tempura 5 pcs was $12 & etc. For 2 people they charge 18% gratuity & still ask for tips on top.
Poor cleanliness & maintenance - the restroom is located next to the kitchen. The doors were kept open.
Very slow service buy delicious food
Great and flavourful Thai food with incredibly lovely staff! We were served really quickly, loved everything we ordered and the Pineapple curry was amazing!
Great place to eat Thai. Recommended 👍
After walking through the boardwalk this place was a nice reprieve from all the energy that is the boardwalk. We were originally looking for C&O trattoria but it apparently closed.
Anyways, this cute little Thai place hit the spot. The photo is of our dinner. It was so good we ate it all.
But I only give them 4 stars because they added on a tip for just the two of us. That's a big turn off to me and I was going to leave them more but after seeing that on the bill I didn't.
Top notch service and food. Get a seat overlooking the canals.
Best Pad Thai I've had in a while, add that satay sauce to your menu!
Everything is horrible except the atmosphere. The Seafod Tom-Kha soup we had was extremely over-salted. The calamari was $12 for 8 chewy pieces that have a layer of skin on every single one of them. The servers were in such a rush and that they had absolutely ZERO attention to detail, and I noticed the same for tables around us. Multiple plates were sent back to the kitchen before us even having received our food. I do NOT recommend this place. Take a hot dog food stand on the street at Venice before you waste your money here.
Delicious food close to the beach! Friendly, decent service.
Canal view and foliage made this feel more welcoming.
Propane space heater usage to take advantage of their open air patio was great.
Best, most authentic Thai food in LA. Get the coconut as your drink.
Drinks are bottled pre made and taste horrible, fish cake were gummy and taste nasty, they messed up the orders and 1 order was even missing! The noodles were sticky and tasted bad. We left basically almost everything and return the pre-made cocktails that they were trying to charge us tho. It wasn't when that busy but the waitress looks confused and lost. I don't know how this place have 4+ star when in real should be 2. This is another example that many people do not know what is a good meal. Horrible. We won't come back.
Nice, fun place to have decent Thai food!
Very good Thai restaurant with a cute location. I got takeaway and it was very fast. A bit expensive but to be expected in Venice
Really, really bad Thai food with a great view and mediocre service.
Buyer beware! This place automatically forces an 18% tip on you rewarding themselves for service (or lack thereof). This, in my opinion, is a scam. Be careful not to tip them on top of the forced tip. Or better yet, just go down the street to another Thai place at corner of Washington and Ocean (shopping center, upstairs) and get good food without the dishonestly and scams.
The Tom Yum soup taste like lemon water and the service was so slow.
We had a great experience at this restaurant. The service was good, the food was wonderful, and it was nice to sit with a view of the Venice canals. They had a restroom on site and there was street parking nearby. Venice Beach is a short walk away. They keep birds on site, which offered some entertainment. Beautiful flowers grow around the restaurant.
This looks like an authentic thai resturant...one taste and you will know its not a good one and its over priced. 2 bad combinations.
Bland bland bland...thats all this place is worth to say about it.
39 bucks for soup, white rice and 5 wings..cant even get the soup correct. Where are the rest of the broth spices to the soups...feels like cutting corners.
A nice place, side Venice canals
태국 식당. 빠른 조리가 장점
Best thai food ever
I come here for last 7 years fav Thai place to eat
Meal was excellent! We had a group of 7. Every plate was CLEAN! Don't remember that ever happening.
Great food , staff & vibes
We had to wait half an hour outside and 1 hr inside. They also forgot one order. Not good shade. Very slow service in Christmas.
It was an unpleasant surprise to find out when check arrived that they add 18% gratuity to all bills (and we were only 2 people). Also, the Pad Thai quantity is small, and the panang curry had no vegetables whatsoever. The only positive was friendly staff.
Please update your business hours. Says you’re open until 10. Showed up at 8:30 and was turned away. Terrible establishment.
A bit cold during december for outside patio. But food was delicious.
Very terrible service and food.
Good (!!) Food, nice ppl, low prices
Food was great
Very cool, small, outdoor dining experience, much like some restaurants I have experienced in Thailand. Good food, especially the Glass Noodle and Wonton Soups. Wood decor, from the floor, to the walls, with Thai wood carvings set the casual, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend!!
Excellente cuisine thaï. Service de qualité et rapide.
Perhaps low staff but it always takes a very long time for the order to come. I order green tea every time and every time I have to remind someone. Angel wings are good and interesting. Rest is average.
Food and atmosphere were great! Very very nice waitress and staff, and the restaurants pet parrot was a definite perk! 🦜❤👍
Good food. Good prices.
piatti prezzo/qualità ottimo, unico aspetto negativo impongono la mancia
Food was delicious and service was excellent. Dining area is outdoors. Handled our group of 8 no problem. Recommend the massaman curry and the pad see ew.
The food was mediocre and the service was HORRIBLE. I wasn’t greeted… actually had to ask if they were open. I found someone, had to ask to be seated, threw the menu down and pretended I didn’t exist. Anything I needed I had to stand up from my seat, walk around to find someone and ask them.
They refused to package my food to go. The waiter stood and watched me do it at my table. I had to package it myself, ask for a bag, then ask for the check!!!
If you want okay Thai food, do yourself a favor and order take out. The wait staff wants nothing to do with customers. You’re better off taking the food out of there.
Too bad too because it’s a beautiful serene setting… well, if you can get past the wait staff standing around staring you in the face while you eat, refusing to do anything but chat amongst themselves.
Loved the patio. Service was slow, food was better than the drinks.
I would give this restaurant no point, the worst I've been to in LA. I have to say if you guys don't know how to do catering service, please don't open a restaurant, it's better to close it. They don't have enough employees, if you walk in and you will wait forever. Otherwise, every dish is so meager, it's barely enough for one person to order at least three meals. Trust me, if you walk in, you will definitely regret it! Might as well go to a fast food restaurant and buy a hamburger to make you happy
Good Thai restaurant close to Venice Beach. Good food.
Loved the fried rice and lychee martini. Both the food and service were amazing
I felt the food was good but I'm not OK with them adding the tip to tge bill with three people. It's sneaky because I had I not looked at the bill after giving them my credit card, I would've paid a tip twice, and honestly that's what I think they are counting on after a couple drinks. They should be more transparent that they are adding 18% tip to the bill even when you're 2 to 3 people. A tip historically is supposed to be decided by the customer not the restaurant, and if that is their policy, and they need to let you know when they are charging your credit card or handing you your bill. I will never go back to a restaurant that tries to manipulate me in that way . Unfortunately it seems to be a new practice of sneaking an added tip in, with a few of rhe restaurants in Los Angeles.pay close attention to your bill or the tip added to the i pad!
Excellent and service, enjoyed my time, courteous staff
So good! Great staff and wonderful ambiance and view of the canal and beautiful flowers everywhere! Love the food. So so so yummy. Will be back!
Thai guy here who lives in Bangkok. This place is legit. Most places in the US dump way too much coconut milk in their green curry and it comes out so far from authentic. Ratios are on point here, along with everything else. Also if you can handle spice, tell them and they'll stick it to ya nice and good!! Looking forward to my next return
Service was quick and food was delicious
You made my day with the amazing dinner I ordered.
Filet minion skewers, Tom yum soup, chicken shrimp pad Thai and the duck curry dish were all amazing, tasty and fresh!
It was great!
Excellent food!
Great food and service
Love love loved this place. Great outdoor setting good staff and flavourful food that can be made spicy to your desire. Only issue for someone who eats a lot is that the quantities were a little less than I’d want. We had pad see ew, pad kra pao, papaya salad, and spring rolls. My favourites were papaya salad and the flat noodle. Staff was great too
they seem like sweet people but rice not included with curry or stir fry meals? $2.50 for rice? also waited 30 minutes past the pick up time when I went to pick up my food. this place would be awesome under new management, being near the beach and canals and all
Terrible experience
They got it together
Best egg rolls on the west side btw
Yummiest chicken emerald green curry, pork fried rice, chicken satay with peanut sauce 😋 we will be back to try many more scrumptious dishes soon👍
We had 4 problems in one order: 1. We asked for brown rice, but we got white and an explanation that there was no brown, while at the next table they took an order for brown after us and brought it. 2. They brought a juice, that I did not order 3. I ordered rice with mango for children. The dish was prepared for a very long time, all the food for adults was brought and eaten and the children were still without food and as a result behaved restlessly. 4. When ordering, I asked if this dish was enough for two children, and received an answer that it is. However, it turned out that the portion consists of one-third mango and two spoons of sweet rice. I asked to add a mango. So, in the receipt I received a payment for this dish multiplied by two, although there was no second course, only mango. 4. In the bill we find 18% mandatory gratitude +sales tax. It surprised me a lot. Usually restaurants do not include salex tax.
Pretty good. Portions weren’t what I expected.
Excelente comida a precio muy razonable. El servicio no muy bueno, salen los platos cada uno a un tiempo. Sólo una persona en la cocina, un camarero y otra persona que ayuda. Menos mal que no había mucha gente. La terraza muy agradable
Delicious and fresh Thai food, I’d say better than most of the restaurants I had in Thailand. Great relaxing environment , awesome place, strongly recommended. I was there Sunday lunchtime, not busy at all, which is a surprise(to me a pleasant way)
