Cozy little Thai spot. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was really kind. My friend and I stopped in for two Thai teas and some mango sticky rice. It was incredible. Probably the best mango sticky rice I’ve ever had. Will definitely come back in the future!

What a lovely taste of Thailand! I went there spontaneously after a comedy show and it was delightful. Had the Tom Kha soup and veggie dumplings. Wonderful tastes, everything was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was also pleasing with Buddhist art work and other authentic touches from Thailand. It is family owned and operated, and you can feel the pride they take in making a good experience for guests. Had to take away as the portions were plentiful for one person—conveniently, the containers are microwavable. Just in town for a visit but look forward to returning in the future!

Came off the Bronson canyon hike and went straight for Thai dinner, best decision. We had the massaman curry and pad see ew, rich smooth savory bites. Will be back to visit soon! Pass this place often and it’s been on our minds to try because of the beautiful design. Highly recommend. Great fast service too.

It has parking lot, which is convenient for customers who drive. The waitress is friendly. The environment is clean and quiet so that customers can enjoy the meal well. The door of restroom is probably broken that I was not able to find the lock. It’s brown rice is actually purple, not similar to what I have at somewhere else but it is still fine and healthy.

one of the worst thai food Ive ever eaten! service was ridiculous, the lady brought our food before the drinks and not even at the same time so my boyfriend could watch me eating while waiting for his food to come. she forgot of his drink. the food was really.not good, very boring taste, not spicy at all and very oily. at the end she told us we have to give tips. no, thanks, wont see us again!!

Normally I have the pad thai but last night I ordered the green curry and it was LIFE CHANGING. Absolutely delicious and hit the spot. Tom Kha soup amazing as always. No complaints ever about this place, 1000/10.

Had the yellow curry and rice. It was yummy but just extremely spicy. More spicy than I believed was necessary. Servers were very kind and professional. Nice evening vibe; dimmed lights. Had a parking lot which I appreciated. Food came out fast.

RACIST. Been here twice, 1st time I picked up food to-go, service was a little shaky while others would get good service in my face.Came back to eat in this time and was totally ignored while no one was even in the resturant. White guy came in 10 min later and was helped right away. She literally waited until we left with no attempt to offer waters!

It was our first time here and we're definitely coming back.
Great flavor, good value, friendly service.
I really liked the pad kee mao, and the chicken is prepared really well.

Nice Thai place

A neighborhood, family run restaurant my own family has enjoyed for more than a decade! Their food is always fresh and tasty and the owners are lovely people. (The mango sticky rice is also a special treat) The owners’ kids are often there, hanging out while their family runs everything required - the true definition of a family establishment. My kids have enjoyed having friends there over the years, and we’ve enjoyed having the kids there, too. Los Feliz/Hollywood/Silver Lake have myriad dining options but I have *never* regretted a meal or a delivery from Pimai and I don’t expect I ever will. Ignore any of the grumpy reviews here. Pimai is great!

They post a menu with outdated prices out front to bait you. Dishonest restaurant! Also, meat and rice are additional for any of the dishes so beware of even more additional costs! Not worth it, and the quality of the food is subpar. Pad thai was dry and chewy and bland.

Been coming here for years and it keeps getting better. I rarely write reviews but just wanting to make sure these folks are getting business in these rough times. I just found out they they have vegan protein options which is rad. The lunch special is a major bang for the buck but it’s also a great dinner spot. The plants and open-air seating situation are lovely and the Massaman Curry and Pad See Ew are very very yum

Very good spicy beef salad, for which I go to that restaurant all these years /over 6 years/ :)) Also they have great coconut spicy soup. Absolutely recommended to give a try.

The food is good. But when they get busy they just cancel orders without any service and people are having no food. Second time we experience this. I will not recommend to order here if you want to end up without food.

After a long day of walking around Los Angeles, we were in the mood for some comfort food. My sister and I decided on Thai food and this was the closest Thai restaurant. We ordered pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp and pad see ew with chicken. It was delicious. We split both dishes and cleared our plates. The pineapple fried rice had a curry flavor to it, which I wasn't expecting, but was delightful.

I like this place because they were making orders fresh and they a great lunch menu , which you can try different dishes for a good price . It takes a little longer when you get there when they open 11:00 . A little slow but the food is good ,with good portion for the lunch menu . You have to try it out, it's in a small strip mall ,east of gelsons mkt.

This place was awesome because the service, atmosphere, and (most importantly) food, was awesomely delicious. I would definitely come here again. Tasty clear soup in the lunch special, and yummy pad see ew noodles, with delicious steamed dumplings as an appetizer. Totally would recommend.

Usually this place is great but lately its been off. My take out containers were only partially full last time I ordered. Food taste great but make sure you're getting what you pay for.

FRUSTRATING
Been to this restaurant a couple of times and the food is excellent. Today, for the first time, I ordered a delivery, since it is in the neighbourhood. There is a disclaimer that says it will take from 45 to 60 mins. After an hour and a half I decided to call the number that is all over the internet. 9 tries and nobody answered. An hour 43 minutes later, still haven´t got it and still nobody answers the phone, but they charged my card inmediately. A filed a claim at the bank to have my money back.

Rude and slow service. Came when no one was around and took 10 minutes before any one came with water and menus. We were in a rush for the airport so we just walked out. I told the waiter to improve his service next time by being more attentive. He just said “don’t come back next time.”

Also, it seems like they’re running some day care out of this restaurant. Lots of kids toys littered on the ground and the whole restaurant environment appears unsanitary. Bad!

*Didn’t eat the food there so I can’t attest to that.

Loved this restaurant. Very clean, and tasty dishes. Was quiet and not busy when we got lunch on a Sunday afternoon.

So, in a nutshell..the parking sucks like hell, the service is very good, the server was cordial, the food was served fast but was on the dry side, overall a nice quiet and a cozy place.

Over priced, small portions, and the interior is a big YIKES! There is much better food down the street at The Palm on Hollywood Blvd.

At least with most Thai if it’s average or mediocre, at least there’s a lot of it. With this each and every dish was comically small. We had take out and the food didn’t even fill the already small containers. It is overly expensive when you factor in how small everything is - and that includes soup that is maybe a small bowl for one person, definitely not to be shared and certainly not worth $10 a bowl.

It was just all average and we ended up having to go get more take out from another location so everyone could have food. Won’t happen again.

Ive only had take out from Pimai a few times, I live close by so by the time I get home it is still quite hot.

The food has been consistently good. Everything Ive gotten has needed a bit of hot sauce to liven it up. The food is good, just a little bland for my tastes. Ive tried several different dishes and had the same judgement.

Went in, was greeted, then the couple that came in after myself was helped. Never will I recomend this place or visit.

The party that arrived after us was helped first. Very disrespectful to a potential customers. There was only 3 parties in the restaurant at the time.

Very unimpressive. Thai food should be about flavor complexity and attractive presentation and sadly both of the dishes we tried were lacking flavor and were disappointingly presented. My "green" curry was grayish and had merely a few vegetables.

I have been coming to Pimai for at least 7 years and have always enjoyed the service and food. Relaxed and cozy.

Me and my wife had been planning to visit Pimai and try the food there but never got a chanve and since we are moving away from Hollywood we made it a point to visit some places before we do so. And we really regret not visiting here. Food here is delicious, everything we tried was fantastic and we really loved the way they served Tom yum soup on a small burner to keep the soup hot. Dimsums were great and Grilled Salmon too. The only thing that I felt was ridiculously expensive were the fress coconuts $5.5 each I mean we ordered so many things and those coconuts were like 25%of the whole check.

Love the atmosphere, the family who owns this restaurant is a world-class family and the food is great. Great service and some nights, there is karaoke! Thai food, drinks and karaoke? Sign me up!

Service was great and quick. Food tasted good too. I wish she asked me how spicy I wanted my yellow curry. Nevertheless I absolutely enjoyed every bite.

2 stars because I waited for 25 minutes for them to tell me they never put in my order. The vegetable tempera was really amazing and their customer service was on point

Good affordable Thai food! Sometimes it's hard to place an order over the phone for takeout but it's good. Limited parking.

Pimai is a fun experience. The food is good, and not very expensive. The environment is small, which is a plus. The one downside to the small space is when it gets full it can be fairly loud (I like more quiet dinning experiences). Other than that, it's a great place, I'd recommend it to anyone nearby.

We ordered four dishes and the lady asked us twice for the dishes but still in the end she missed one dish for us. Also even never asked if we need rice which the white rice should be combine with our dishes, so tonight we only have two dishes and one fried rice for four ppl here. And no more food at 11pm. Very unprofessional service. How can a dish without serve with white rice?!
