Thai restaurant
Quite literally the best Thai food I’ve ever had! The moo ping was just so flavorful and grilled to perfection, and the fish curry was the ideal combination of sweet and savory. Both were just incredible and well worth the price.
The restaurant can get busy, so come early if possible!
It's all about the food. I've wanted to try this spot out for some time. Went at what we thought was an odd time and it was packed, a good sign. Service is prompt and efficient. Pretty expansive menu. The interior isn't much to look at. All dishes were really nicely prepared and spiced. Parking can be hard and is limited. Recommended and looking forward to going back soon.
Luv2Eat Thai Bistro is a hidden gem in Los Angeles. Despite its unassuming exterior in a strip mall on Sunset Boulevard, it offers some of the city’s most authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine. The menu is extensive, featuring dishes rarely found elsewhere, such as the Phuket-style crab curry—a spicy, turmeric-infused coconut curry with succulent crab meat that’s a must-try. Be prepared for genuine Thai spiciness; when they say a dish is spicy, they mean it. The restaurant’s modest decor is overshadowed by the exceptional quality of the food and the attentive service. For those seeking an authentic Thai dining experience without breaking the bank, Luv2Eat Thai Bistro is a top choice.
The Panang Curry was magic! It was so tasty we were lapping it up outta the bowl like dogs on a hot day. The Jade Noodle was pretty bland over all and it's only saving grace was the crispy pork; THAT was delicious. Pad Thai was the last dish and it's Pad Thai, so not new territory but well executed.
The place got packed shortly after we were sat for dinner and it's a small place so expect a line depending on the time of day. No frills type of place; just room to eat and plenty of Michelin stickers to look at while you wait although this is not a Michelin Star restaurant so just be aware of that.
Service was good; food came out fast and our waiter communicated effectively. Was a good time all in all.
All dishes may be too sweet for Thai (Krapao Moo, Krapao Seafood, Stirred fried mixed vegetable, Sweet and sour crispy fish).
I think they used tamarind sauce instead of lime juice for Tom Yum soup. Thai style omelette was good though. Steamed rice was soft but some portions of them were burnt. Staffs are friendly and their service was very fast.
Came here with a friend on a Sunday evening. Heard so much hype about this place and it didn't disappoint. The food was pretty solid albeit on the sweet and mild side IMHO. We ordered green curry, pad thai and hat yai chicken; all pretty good. Service was quick and attentive. The place is kinda cramped and you sit pretty close to other tables.
Luv 2 Eat is hands down one of my favorite spots for authentic Thai food, and they never disappoint! The service is consistently friendly and efficient, making the whole experience enjoyable whether I’m dining in or picking up food. My personal favorites are the Moo Ping and Pineapple Fried Rice. The Moo Ping is always grilled to perfection with just the right balance of flavors—juicy, tender, and packed with that savory, slightly sweet taste that’s simply addictive. The Pineapple Fried Rice is equally impressive, with fragrant rice, fresh pineapple chunks, and the perfect blend of spices and textures. Whenever I’m craving Thai food, especially these two dishes, and I find myself in the area, Luv 2 Eat is always at the top of my list!
I have been coming to this spot for years and I’m so happy to see it doing well. The inside is cleanly, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. From the order to it being plated on our table took a reasonable amount of time. The pad Thai had a nice smoky flavor. The papaya salad had the right amount of acidity, sweetness, and freshness. And the jade noodle trio was more complex than I expected, it quite tasty.
Excellent food, very large portions, very fast service
No frills and super delicious food. Especially loved the papaya salad we got, but everything was fantastic.
I'm not sure how this place got a 4.5 on Google, let alone why Eater LA rated it so highly. We got fried chicken which, aside from having to send it back for not being fully cooked, was not great taste-wise or for its crispiness. The Pad See Ew was average at best. The mixed vegetables were fine. The service was great until then end when, after first being apologized to profusely for having been served not done chicken, being promised a new plate of it, and then it not being provided due to the kitchen being backed up, one of the workers brings a "corrected" check saying "oh, they forgot to add the chicken" after being told it wouldn't be charged for. Standards have gotten so low.
I was really excited about trying their foods and had a lacklaster experience. my Pad kee Mao ( aka Drunken noodle ) was so soggy and overcooked and tried Pad thai and Pad won seen from my other parties and all of them were really sorry soggy mess. pad kee mao is known for holy basil/thai basil flavor and it was lacking. sorely disappointed. maybe chef's day off on Sunday? I woudn't drive from west LA to try their food.
one of the best restaurant I ever visited. Well deserved the Michelin stars. The manager lady was extremely friendly and welcoming. Definately will go back!

Amazing food.

OMG. The best Thai yet....for me in LA
Food is really good here. It’s located in a stripe mall but don’t let that fool you. Food is top notch.
These guys put a half a tomato in my Soup to go. Didn't even know they scammed me. Don't trust!
Very good moo ping and other chef specials.
Pad Thai was delivered and not that great.
อร่อยมากค่า รสชาติไทยแท้
The best Tom Kha I’ve ever had no joke. I’ve had plenty of thai food from all over the states and this tom kha was so remarkable i ate the large portion on my own!! and i always reminisce this soup and compare it to every tom kha i’ve had lol! Met the chef and they were so sweet! recommend flying back to try it again!
I’ve been going here for about a year now and it’s time I gave it a review. This place is amazing and the Moo Ping is so addicting! I recommend that and the Pad See Ew with crispy pork.
We ordered takeaway so can't really comment on service and ambience. The food was great and I would definitely order again.
Do not eat here. This place claims to have Michelin stars, yet serves dry and overcooked meat, day old refrigerated rice. The staff ignore you, it takes multiple attempts to get the attention of someone. One of them literally slammed the door in our face, while we were waiting to be seated. Clearly they don’t care about their customers.
The service is okay, the review is only for food and I did have the best thai fish curry ever… the dishes plus the value of everything here is absolutely worth it as its a michlin restaurant. tasty food!
Their pad Thai was so underwhelming. At most there were 10 small pieces of beef. The entire plate was noodles! The taste of it was so uneventful. My partner also didn’t fully love their duck plate either. The only good thing was their Thai tea. I wouldn’t personally go back for either of these dishes or at all. The service and ambiance seemed good.
It's really Thai taste.
The food here is absolutely life changing. Best Thai food in Los Angeles easily and honesty the best I’ve had compared to abroad in Asia as well lol it’s that good. Panang Curry with Crispy pork, Moo ping, Chinese fried rice is my order almost every time but I’ve had basically everything on the menu you can’t go wrong with anything. Words literally cannot describe how freaking good this place is I eat here like 2-3 times a month haha I couldn’t recommend any place more than luv2eat
Incredible food, good service, and unbelievably fast! Highly recommend to any and everyone who likes Thai food (or hell, even if you think you don't like Thai food).
Came before 12. Everything is too sweet and seats are too tight
Amazing food, good vegan options, massive quantity.
Overrated place. Average food, horrible service. Do not recommend.
I can't believe I haven't reviewed Luv2Eat yet!
*Spoiler Alert*
I love them!
I've been trying to catch up on reviewing some of my favorite spots that are such obvious staples to me that I sometimes forget to *ACTUALLY* review them.
Needless to say, Luv2Eat is one of those spots.
A longtime favorite of mine, I don't want to sound like I'm faking or exaggerating when I say that this spot is legitimately one of the best.
I love the owners here - the sweetest and friendliest people you could ever meet.
And of course, I also love the food itself - perfectly prepared, cooked, seasoned, a good amount of spice....just perfect! Did I already say that? Well, it is!
Luv2Eat is one of those places in LA where the hype is real, the recommendations are legit, and I truly do LOVE what they have to offer.
Do not drive past this strip mall spot in Hollywood without pulling over to give it a try - you will NOT regret!
Food was great, when they said medium. I guess it is still hot for midwesterner
Tried the moo-ping for the first time. It had a great char on the outside and was so tender, also had my usual kua gling, (spicy) which never disappoints.
ALWAYS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! AND I’m obsessed!! AND HAVE TOO MANY FAVORITE DISHES TO CHOOSE FROM!! 🏳️🌈🤤🤗💯🔥😋
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Luv2eat! The restaurant was completely packed when we arrived with a line out the door. Despite this, we were seated within 20 minutes.
The wait staff are quick and courteous and took our order almost right away. They were also more than happy to share suggestions.
The food is absolutely phenomenal! We ate the sole curry and the steamed chicken. Both were excellent! A word of caution, when dishes are labeled as spicy they certainly deliver. Be sure to pick the appropriate level of spiciness (mild/medium/spicy) for your table.

It was so good I completely forgot to take a photo! The red curry was the best I've ever had! You must try this place if you are visiting Los Angeles!

Algo especial
Authentic Thai, big portion, good Thai ice tea.
Amazing Thai takeaway!
Never been to Thailand or anything, but this is the best Thai food I have ever had. The people who work there are super nice. I’ve gotten it delivered and eaten there. Everything was great!
This is over the top good! The pork skewers, one of their specialty items were delicious. Be careful about the heat. Even medium is hot. Definitely will be back if I'm ever in the area.
Quite possibly, the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten. Had multiple friends recommend this place — I came with 7 other people for the first time and each and every one of us was blown away. DAMN. I definitely recommend going with as big of a group as possible to try as many of the dishes as you can…
I can absolutely recommend the drunken noodles (with shrimp) but honestly, everything was an 11/10. Don’t overthink it and just go here, ASAP.

Had to wait 30 mins, tried their famous fried chicken and phuket crab noodles and papaya salad! I felt the fried chicken was good, and crab noodles are good but slightly sweet for me. I am glad I tried it but I would not go back for those two dishes. I would come back for the papaya salad, it was very refreshing. Make sure you ask for chilis in fish sauce. I want to try their other dishes, huge portions and very friendly service.

Had two different stir fry off of the chefs specials and both were amazing, completely different flavors than I’m used to. The one thing we can’t recommend is the Moo Ping( pork jerky skewers.) maybe just our taste but we found these tough, fatty, and pretty one-note when it came to flavor. $20 order came with 4 skewers and one skewer for two people was more than enough.
HANDS DOWN THE MOST AMAZING THAI FOOD OUTSIDE OF THAILAND. Chef Pla and Chef Fern are truly culinary wizards. Eat here at least once per week, usually more.
Good
Found this place while visiting the walk of fame and it’s a MUST STOP!.
Regarding food I’m going to give it a 10/10, and can sum up the review on: it has that “home food” taste on dishes that are supposed to be that way, and street food taste on the street food dishes they serve. Overall impressed with this place and will be definitely come back. Between my party we tried various dishes and liked them all.
Parken vor der Tür. Essen sehr lecker. Service sehr aufmerksam, schnell und freundlich. Ambiente gemütlich.
First timer here at this GEM!! Will come back again to try more! Staff is prompt and service was good!! Food comes out fast and fresh!!
Kept the order simple since it was our first time but PLENTY of things we will order when we come with more people !!
Moo-ping
Crab Fried Rice Extra scrambled Egg!
Food was delicious!
Ordered the Moo Ping for the first time and it was one of the best meals of my life
Very delicious Thai food! With an emphasis on Southern Thai cuisine, there are items here you won’t find in many other Thai restaurants so take advantage of the menu! Very friendly staff! Also a parking lot on Sunset!
I loved the place. The food was tasty. I had drunken noodle and you can park the car there for free. No street parking needed.
Pork skewers were very good.
Heard a lot about this place before checking it out. They’re supposed to be well known for their yellow crab curry.
Overall the food is pretty solid. Thought the crab curry didn’t have a lot of crab nor a strong crab flavor. It was still really good but on the sweet side.
Fried chicken and beef jerky were tasty. I would come back and try a few other dishes.
The jade noodle and pork skewers are so good 👍
Service here is done well, food is 100% delicious, and the atmosphere is phenomenal. Kind of reminds you of a Thai cantina with how many people are enjoying themselves and having a good time. ONE NOTE: the spice level is hot for medium. I was dying, but I couldn’t stop eating because it was so good. Thai tea was also amazing. Personally I got the Jade noodles on the first page.
My experience was good. The food was great and soo tasty, Even though they put those strange green leaves on a plate of shrimp that I actually didn’t order, but when I let the waitress know, they solved it immediately, they attend with a smile, these guys are really fabulous and we loved the place.
This is definitely my favorite place in North America for Thai food, if not the world. This place is always busy for good reason. The service is still decently quick considering. Highly highly highly recommend the Moo Ping marinated grilled pork skewers. The portion size is awesome and loaded with sweet and savoury flavor. The sauce it comes with is so damn amazing. Salted shrimp paste fried rice with the fried mackerel is also something that you can't go wrong with. Fried rice has just the right amount of umami and pairs so well with the mackerel and pork on the side. I wish I had more company this time out so I could have gotten the crab curry. That is a must try! It's also the best place to get Thai Milk Tea imho. I'll keep coming back, just as the Michelin guide keeps telling us to.
A hidden gem in Hollywood along Sunset Blvd!!
Drunken Noodles....way too good!!! Probably my favorite Thai restaurant in the Hollywood area. Insane portions and the different dishes are very close to the offerings in Thailand and Indonesia. Definitely give them a try when passing through Hollywood!
My favorite Thai place in LA. Can only really speak to getting take out but the service, vibe and of course the food are incredible.
It had been many years since I last visited Luv2Eat Thai and all I can say is thank goodness they’re back in my life!! We ordered the tofu laab , Eggplant Green Curry & Roti, Phuket Style Crab Curry Kanomjean, & Papaya Salad Tum Thai with grilled shrimp. NOT ONE BAD BITE ON THE TABLE: a perfect bite was the crab curry soup with the veggies and pickled onions it’s served with.
Everything is made on the spicier side of the spicy spectrum so even a mild will have a little spice- a medium was fairly spicy and I love spicy!
I can’t wait to come back and try more dishes/ reorder exactly what we had last time!
Note: we ordered the crab curry with no shells
Very tasty food! Generous portions with strong and authentic flavors. Attentive and friendly service! Only complaint is the table for two was too small for all the food we ordered (honestly we ordered for 4), but ti's a minor issue and we still had a lovely and memorable meal. Pork skewers were great, also green curry and pad see ew
Finally, tonight...after our son and his gf kept saying they wanted to take us to THE BEST Thai food restaurant near them, we got to experience dinner. Absolutely delicious and so tasty. Can't wait to dine there again.
The food is amazing here, I ordered the chef’s special with fish and I really enjoyed it. A couple of issues: we waited over one hour to be seated, and towards the end of our meal when we asked for desert, the waiter said “not tonight”. I would still like come here again at some point.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in LA period. I have been here countless of times and never been disappointed. Try items on the chefs special menu. Recommend their Moo Ping, Pad See Ew, Jade Noodle, fried chicken and their red crab curry.
I happened to stop by for lunch here by chance, really happy I did. I’ll definitely be coming back here. Food and service was excellent, can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu!
Ordered on their website. Kua Gling with ground chicken was 🔥 I selected spicy and (importantly) IT WAS. Normally I get ‘extra spicy’ but it wasn’t needed here.
Would not recommend
Found out about this place from recommendations on Reddit. People were waiting outside because the inside was packed completely. Still, the staff was doing a great job getting through tables. The food was very good. The waiters were friendly. The portion was very generous and I had to take about half of it to go.
Good food,good meat
A+ food , A+ service . Highly recommended for anyone in the Hollywood blvd area looking for Thai food.
Great food. Fast service for a very busy restaurant
Patrick was great!!!!
This will probably be the shortest review I’ll ever write. This place is simply AMAZING! The food is next level! Service is prompt and efficient and friendly. The dining area is a little tight but the food is the star here! The portions are big and overall the prices were reasonable. If you want authentic Thai food, do yourself a favor and come eat here. Don’t walk, run!
Really delicious and legit Thai food! Definitely not a place to order pad thai or pad see ew, rather some more authentic Thai dishes with great flavors.
Definitely the best Thai food in LA. I love this place! Highly recommended will definitely come back.
Speedy service and good taste
This review is ONLY for the Sunday (5/19) staff. This is what happened: Went there on a very busy Friday after a taping of a Hollywood show. The food was beyond delicious. The staff THAT DAY was amazing. SO we decided to go again on Sunday, and it was like we went to a different restaurant. The staff was all different and beyond rude. Both our forks were dirty with rice particles stuck on them, and when we told the bleach blonde woman with short hair, she caught major attitude. They took forever to bring out menus and water...we asked for our food spicy, and she laughed. Even the taste of the food differed from Friday. So, my advice is to avoid Sundays altogether, as the staff tend to be super rude, and the quality of food pales in comparison to the delightful Friday experience.
Absolutely delicious!! I’ve been craving for Southern Thai food for a long time cause I grew up eating it. This place gave me a childhood memory and deliciousness of a mother recipe. I’ve heard about this restaurant for a while but haven’t got a chance to try it yet cause I live in New York so pretty far away. But when I visited LA this time I just made it and everything was phenomenal, the food absolutely, the vibes, the place and the service was on top!! Now I have to go back and try the rest of the menu. I’m obsessed!!
Wonderful food! ขอบคุณครับ
I love to eat at Luv2eat. This is my go-to place to get Thai food since it’s close to my house and they’re great catering to gluten allergies! I’ve been here many times but this was the first time trying laab with chicken. We got it with medium spice and it was just about the max amount of spice I could endure without being uncomfortable. It was so yummy though and I feel encouraged to branch out on thai dishes I order!
Amazing restaurant that I’ll continue going to over and over again whenever I’m craving thai food!
This place was so popular and for a good reason. The Moo-Ping did not disappoint. The skewers were so tender with the right amount of fatty and lean meat and the seasoning was full of that Asian sweetness. The jade noodle (no soup) was delicious with the 3 different kinds of meat and the vegetables creating a wonderful medley of flavor. The crab curry had a wonderful creamy taste and a slight kick. Everything was amazing. Could not have asked for better Thai food.
I would literally eat here every day. If you like drunken noodles, these are some of the best I’ve ever had (and definitely the best I’ve had in years). Green curry is also delicious. So are the veggie egg rolls. Oh, so is the cashew stir fry. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order. Wait staff are all super sweet and will bring you whatever you need with a smile on their faces.
Super fast lunch service, great staff and very tasty Thai food.
The food was delicious and thevservice was excellent and super friendly. Among the best Thai food I've had. Can't say enough about the super personable and efficient staff.
Best Thai food in Los Angeles, large portions, fresh ingredients
If you’re looking for real Thai, this place is as solid as it gets. Easily the best I’ve had in LA. Crab curry is to die for. Can’t wait to go back to try more.
The Thai food here is spot on! Highly recommend the Moo Ping (Pork Skewers) as they are so flavorful and delicious. The Thai Fried Chicken is also great too. It comes with sticky rice and can pretty much be a meal itself. Everything is great to share family style too. Parking can be a pain since it’s in a plaza shared with other businesses. Service is good and helpful.
Fresh but tasteless. Expected more for a Michelin star restaurant. Have had better Thai food in other places.
I am a Thai green curry specialist:). One of the best ones here!!
no frills casual restaurant serving more than just your classic curries and thai noodles. luv2eat hits the spot with well flavored curries and sizable portions. the famous crab curry was actually not the standout dish. overall, would come back but get spicy next time - medium was not spicy enough.
hat yai fried chicken: pretty tasty solid fried chicken. have had better though.
crab curry (medium spice): a little too sweet but good crab flavor and crab itself was well cooked. get spicy next time.
green curry with eggplant (medium spice): group favorite, well made curry with plenty of veggies and right balance of sweet, spicy, creamy. could be spicier though.
Authentic spot for Thai food with bold flavors. The number one thing to try here is the Phuket Style Crab Curry Kanomjean which comes with a plate of toppings like: rice noodles, shredded carrots, bean sprouts, and a boiled egg. The menu seems to say that it's blue crab but it's not, it seems like flower crab which has a thinner brittle shell and softer meat. If you've had Northern style Thai khao soi it's pretty similar. We also got the Pad Kapi with crispy pork and stink beans. The crispy pork was especially crispy and the stink beans were really unique.
Service is a bit slow here but everything seems to be made to order. The atmosphere seems lively.
The worst pad thai I ever have...garbage service
My first ever 1 star. $26 crab curry was horrendous. The crab's shell was soft and the flesh was unbelievably soggy and not fresh - one of the claw didn't even have meat in it (how is this god damn possible?). The curry was not hot at all, especially after being served with rice vermicelli and vegetables on the side, once you put the curry in it was basically cold. The crispy skin pork was fried till it was all but dry in the jade noodles.
The dishes are already on the expensive side for Thai food and it was this bad...
I hope that this review only serves to better the restaurant. However, if they do not get better then please deter away.
Pretty expensive for low amount of meat in the food; most of it was in the noodles. There's definitely comparable quality around (King's Thai Food) for a lower price so I'd recommend that place over here!
Also side note that they got my order wrong over the phone and didn't seem keen on redoing it so I just took it out as is.
Luv2eat is a gem for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine in LA. As Thai natives, we were impressed by their dedication to traditional Southern Thai dishes, a rarity in the US. We couldn't resist returning for seconds, drawn in by the tantalizing flavors of their crab curry, perfectly grilled meats, and crispy fried chicken. Each bite transported us back home, making it a must-visit for any Thai food enthusiast craving an authentic taste of Thailand. 😋
A truly delicious culinary experience. Why would you go anywhere else in Hollywood?
Comida muy rica y sobre todo muy auténtica. Muy buena relación calidad/precio.
re:reviewer pics - food looks great but seeing someone eating a soup type dish in detail - dunno.
Très bon mais juste un peu trop sucré. Les assiettes sont pour des géants!! Il y a trop de nourriture mais c’est idéal pour en ramener à la maison!
Truly can’t wait to come back here. As a gluten free person, I love how many options their menu has to offer that are specifically marked GF. Food was AMAZING. We ate there for lunch and I honestly wanted to go back for dinner on the same day lol. We will definitely be returning and I would recommend this restaurant to anybody who enjoys Thai food! The Green Chili and Pad Thai were incredibly flavorful. Service was also super friendly!
