Home-cooked style Thai dishes
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in all of New York City. It’s always so fresh, flavorful and just the right amount of spicy. I always do the Pad Kee Mao which is spicy, Smokey and so well cooked - the noodles are chewy and never over cooked. I love Little Tiffin and always order when I am in Brooklyn !! Obsessed
I came to this place for the first time as suggested by a friend who was Thai. I arrived first and they still sat me without my entire party which was surprising because the dinner rush was already in full swing.
The ambiance is so cozy and precious, love the wood feel and the retro yet modern vibe. The ceiling was really high too or maybe just made it appear that way from the decor on the sides.
Our server Gigi was friendly and attentive, was helpful answering any questions, we were particularly looking for her recommendations prior to us ordering.
An observation I noticed was that all the staff members assist in making sure your water is filled to the tip top of your glass, everyone helps run food to the tables etc. Impressive teamwork!
What we ordered:
Apps:Khanom Jeeb Pak (veg dumplings) & Tom Kha (soup)
Entrees: Yum Pak Boong Grob (crispy morning glory salad) & Kua Gling (string beans in Thai paste)
Also got to meet the sweet small and mighty owner, Moni! She's a burst of energy and so hospitable.
Thanks so much, I plan to come back to try lunch!
Amazing atmosphere with a very cute vintage look, ceiling fans on a hot day and a $12 lunch special on weekdays!
I ordered a Pad Kee Mao, and it was way too spicy for me. I would be fine at other Thai spots because the spice level would be lower. The staff were super nice and kept refilling my water and eventually saw that I was suffering so offered to make me a new dish with less spice which I really appreciated!
Thanks for going out of your way to make my meal more enjoyable although it was my fault for not clarifying in advance.
Quaint, yet elegant interior that feels homey and nostalgic. Food came out quickly and piping hot. Beef in the pad kee mao was slightly overcooked, but overall the flavors are a hit. Came here right before sunset and the golden hour sunlight coming through the windows created such a lovely vibe. Seating is well-spaced and doesn’t feel crammed, with enough space for people and wait staff to move around comfortably. Kind and attentive service 🫶🏼
Best restaurant in Greenpoint, hands down! Spectacular. The owners embody hospitality and the food is genuinely top notch and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg like everywhere else. Love this place!!
Love this spot! A go to for ordering in for a group. The flavors are great and I can always find something especially for some gluten free family members. All the curries are delish too!
Whether it's dining in or taking out, this is my favorite thai place in NY. So consistent ! Never change. It's a staple for us.
Great food! Loved it.

Easy, yummy, no frills place. Everything was delicious and dessert was to die for.
Really enjoyed our meal here ....very cute vintage vibe ...service was sweet and accommodating and food was delicious. We enjoyed the Thai Biryani and Kaprow the most. A perfect place to wind down and enjoy a cozy meal.

Food was absolutely amazing!
Absolutely banging Thai Food.
It is never right for any service, small business or not, to pressure customers into tipping what the establishment thinks is the correct amount.
I understand that running a restaurant is not easy, but tipping is a choice. If you want to bind customers to a payment, it must be include in the price.
Great casual Thai restaurant. Bar seats were fun. Hot and fresh noodles
Love this restaurant and highly recommend, but tonight the pad see ew was way too salty.
Had an awesome time at Little Tiffin!!! The basil fried rice was soooo good. Definitely coming back.
This is a great local spot for takeout and dine in. The vibes inside are charming (and it’s often possible to walk-in without a reservation, especially if you are willing to sit at the bar). I love the pad see ew and the mango sticky rice!
Seriously one of the best Thai spots I’ve had in nyc, their soup is absolutely amazing! 10/10
Very nice restaurant. Staff was very friendly and food was delicious. The prices are very good.
Our waitress was nice. I was excited to try this place. We ordered many dishes. Too spicy for my taste/half of our party. They forgot our calamari. Tom Kha is marked as spicy. Why? It should not be spicy. They were able to make it without the chili oil they add. When it came time to tip, of course 20% is the smallest amount to tip & it was AFTER tip so they really got 23% from me! That is dishonest/sleezy and really puts a bad taste in my mouth. The tip is BEFORE TAX. STOP making the tip choices after tip. Not okay. I am annoyed.
Sooooo delicious! And so charming!
Great value
Delicious lunch for a reasonable price.
Really good!
Everything I tried there was so tasty. It’s so good, I highly recommend it.
Stopped in for a quick drink! But then changed my mind as the smell of the food just couldn’t be ignored! So delicious. I’m not in Greenpoint often, but next time I come. I will be stopping by

This is one of the best Thai restaurants in all of the city. I've tried every dish here at least once. The food is always made to order and fresh. Their Khao Soi is unbelievably good. Not too many Thai restaurants make this dish and when they do its always just okay. The Khao Soi at Little Tiffin is special. If you haven't had it yet, what are you doing with your life? There are so many amazing restaurants in Greenpoint and Little Tiffin ranks very high amongst the best of the best.
Very nice customer service and atmosphere, and tasty food. Unfortunately the fried morning glory salad gave me food poisoning. I started to feel very nauseous 2 hours after dining there and had nothing else to eat or drink… was really surprised as I’ve never had food poisoning before, and it’s difficult as someone with contamination OCD and fear of vomiting to experience it, but so far haven’t had to go to the hospital. I’m still rooting for them as an establishment, just disappointed. Food safety should be the top priority as a restaurant
I usually come in for the lunch special as it is close to work, but today I tried the duck with red curry for dinner. I am always happy with the food and the staff is really nice!
Friend and I chose this on the fly to get some light bites and decided we must come back to try something bigger. It was good and the bar tended talked to us about the Thai iced tea which my friend was excited about. It was a good time.
Food is always great. Staff is always very friendly. Adequately priced. Never disappointed.
We got take out, the food was very very good. Fresh and delicious. Not overly greasy or overly seasoned. Tofu was cooked to perfection.
Lovely place and delicious food served by heartwarming staff. Will always come back.
A restaurant that definitely deserves its high rating! The food was PHENOMENAL (especially the mango dessert), service was friendly and efficient, and plenty of gluten free options! So happy to have found this place and would def recommend.
In terms of the actual space, it’s not a big spot (so expect a wait during peak times) and lots of families with babies.
Slaps
Delicious food, great lunch pricing $12 entrees. Service was quick, staff is friendly. Asked if my Thai iced tea could be less sweet and they customized it for me. Will def come back! Cute inside too :)
Best Thai food in NYC! The lunch special can’t be beat.
Exceptional. Literally some of the best Thai I have ever had (including in Thailand). My favorite ls are the Hung Lay with pork and the Pad Kana. Chef’s kiss!
This is a very special local spot. Not only is the food authentic and extremely delicious, but the service is always warm and consistent. Atmosphere is like a hug after a long day.
It may be easy to gravitate towards familiar comforts like pad see ew, but I highly recommend trying some of their stir fries and special dishes. My personal favorites are the gang keaw wan curry or kua gling (if you like spicy).
Quietly some of the best thai in the borough, and I’ve had a few Thai food experts confirm that sentiment.
//their lunch specials are super economical.

What a nice and cozy atmosphere in Little Tiffin! a big plus is that it's located directly at the subway station, so you can just hop in after work and get some foot for dinner. The food is super delicious and fresh. We had Pad See Ew, Gang Massaman and Khanoom Jeeb Pak (like Gyoza, see Photo) and we recommend all of it. The service is very friendly and we will definitely be coming back!
The heart and soul of Greenpoint. I eat here regularly.
This is the best Thai place in NYC. Bangkok Supper Club this, Thai Diner that, how about you form your own opinion and stop eating where TikTok influencers tell you to eat. 10/10 would highly recommend.
The service was outstanding - our server was so lovely and happy to share her own recommendations when asked, and the food was the best Thai I've ever had. I'll definitely be back!
AMAZING! incredible food, BEAUTIFUL atmosphere, AMAZING service from kind ppl !
Great Thai food, nice atmosphere
I recently dined at Little Tiffin in Brooklyn, New York, and it was an outstanding experience. The satay was among the best I've had, and the steam dumplings were exceptionally tasty. The Pat Thai and coconut chicken curry were flavorful and satisfying. The service was fantastic, making it a delightful dining choice. I highly recommend Little Tiffin for a delicious Thai cuisine experience.
Used to live in Hell’s Kitchen and didn’t think I would be able to find the same bar for Thai food but this place is amazing! Such a cozy setting and the food is delicious, the meat (pork curry and calamari especially) was melting in your mouth, and the service was very friendly. Portions are a good sized but not too large. Highly highly recommend for dine-in or takeout!
Love this place.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. I go often and all the staff is incredibly welcoming and nice. The food here is very well executed, highly quality, and super consistent. Highly recommend!
Food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken and shrimp dumplings which were flavorless. Dumplings were steamed, chicken/shrimp filling was overcooked, lacking any spice or seasoning. Pad Kee Mao with shrimp was supposed to have Chinese broccoli, it only had one measly piece. The shrimp were few and far between. I had high hopes for this place after Ott Thai closed down. Little Tiffin doesn’t fill the gap. Asked for soft fried egg and received overcooked hard egg yolks. Gave this place a try but I’ll probably stick with Thai Cafe.
I don't get the hype; it's fine, but it's certainly not the best Thai food of my life.
I ordered the hang lay curry. When I've had it before, it's been a nice big piece of marinated meat (I think pork belly) served with sticky rice. At Little Tiffin, it was more like a beef stew with steamed rice: edible, but not delicious.
I try not to leave reviews that just echo what everyone else has said unless the place is exceptional. Little Tiffin isn't exceptional. It's not bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.
One of the reasons my neighborhood is better than yours.
One of my favorite thai spots. Very cute atmosphere and the staff is very nice.
Little gem of the neighborhood
It literally doesn’t get better than this. The decor is so cute, the staff is friendly and attentive, the food is great and at a good price too!

One of the best Thai restaurants in NY! The interior is homey, cozy and cute.
The lunch special is amazing deal - almost all the basic Thai recipes were $12 including side salad or clear broth. We had Pad Kra Pao and Pad Thai. Both dishes were perfect.
Oftentimes I get thrown off by unbalanced or too strong flavor of saltiness, sourness, or sweetness especially at popular Thai places, but here, dishes are authentic and comforting.
Staffs were nice too.
Definitely coming back if I’m around this neighborhood!
Super cute spot with incredible flavours. The Best Pad Kee Mao we’ve had anywhere. All our other dishes and the papaya salad were delicious as well. Great service on top of it all.
Great boutiquee kind of secret Thai hideaway. Terrific food, great value and the nicest people!
Große Portionen und lecker. Schade, dass der Tofu nicht mariniert war, sondern nur naturbelassen.
They consistently failing to remember to include utensils with takeout orders!!! This is extremely frustrating! How do they expect people to eat the food they buy?!
Service is great. Food is good quality but there are better Thai options around 5/10
Great service and even better dishes.
Everything was great. We will definitely come back.
Great meal! Everyone is friendly and nice. Many dishes to choose from and always tasty!! 😋
An authentic Thai restaurant in Brooklyn? Yes please! This intimate place offers family recipes from Thailand, plentiful portions, and balanced spice-taste ratios. The bathroom is cool too, with photos and ads from Thailand in the 1970’s. Quirky, cool, and authentic!
The best Thai, the best people. Food alone will not bring most customers back again and again in a city where restaurants abound, though the food here is stellar. It is the staff and owners who make Little Tiffin such a gem. I have been coming here for over two years and plan to keep that streak going. My recommendation is the Pad Kee Mao for noodles or the green curry with chicken.
Tremendously disappointed as this could have been a 4⭐️ review, or better.
We asked if it was possible to make one of our meals ‘not spicy’, to which we were assured “absolutely, yes”. As they brought the food out, we noticed some internal discussions between the staff as they looked our way. They then came to us to ask: “is it ok to be mild?”, we replied “very mild is okay”, they said “ok great, very mild!”. Unfortunately, the meal was so spicy we could not eat it… extraordinarily disappointing.
To the credit of the restaurant, the other meal we had was good, tasty, and no trouble at all.
Good neighbourhood spot with amazingly nice servers! I was happy with the food we ordered especially the pad see ew. The curry could have been better with bolder flavors and I had to ask for chili paste to mix into it.
Everything was absolutely amazing and delicious from start to finish! The service: Excellent! The food: Excellent! Atmosphere: Excellent! I haven’t had Thai food like this in a very very long time!! I can still taste the Kua Gling dish that I got which they made it vegan for me! It was so delicious, fresh and spicy!! I absolutely love this place, and I know I finally found my favorite Thai restaurant in the area!
Horrible service not friendly didn’t come to ask how the food was. Tables too close to each other.
We came in one day for lunch, when we couldn't find any other places open in the neighborhood. The place does not disappoint us at all. Very good selections on the menu, nice staffs, and food are delicious. We had spicy duck breast, skewer, Thai tea and rice. They all very tasty and we like so much. If you are looking for a Thai place in Greenpoint, this is your destination.
Bed pad thai I’ve had in New York City. Little Tiffin is my go to spot - don’t want to cook? Getting back from a trip? Not sure what to order? 10/10 recommend!!
Delicious, beautifully presented food that is not your run-of-the-mill Americanised Thai food (sorry for the bad grammar in my initial review !). We had 2 of the specialty dishes. The staff are super friendly and genuine. Just the right amt of spice. Yummy !
Can for lunch.. decent amt of food. $20 for curry, other places are better and cheaper but are further away.. I would not eat here again.. its like Chinese food most just do take-out cuz no other options
Love the ambience of the place. I would go there for late lunch. The sunlight through the curtains and delicious hearty Thai style chicken biriyani would put me in a good food coma!
My go to for delivery. Always fast and delicious food.
Delicious food, lovely service!
This great restaurant with delicious food, friendly staff, and good atmosphere when dining in. Have been here many times and every thing I order each time has been very good and fresh tasting. The staff is hardworking and very patient and have good attitude even if they are very busy. Whenever people ask for good restaurant in that area, I always mention Little Tiffin and when you eat there you will see why - delicious!
I don’t know how this place flew under our radar. We’ve been in Greenpoint for almost a decade and only recently tried this spot and wow. I don’t know why it took so long but it’s now a staple we crave and have at least every other week. The green curry, the pad see ew and morning glory greens - SO delicious! Perfect spice level. Worth the visit!
Some of the best Thai food I’ve ever had. I live around the corner and eat here at least once a week! Everything is delicious and the employees are so sweet. A must-visit in Greenpoint.
We recently had dinner here, the staff was extremely welcoming and courteous.. the atmosphere was quaint and cosy , the food was delicious, authentic Thai food, great flavours! Overall a great experience:):) We will be returning to eat our way through the menu :)
Our favorite Thai place in Brooklyn! Whenever we find ourselves in the area, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Authentic food, outstanding service, and welcoming staff!
This is my 3rd review because that's how bad it was. It doesn’t matter how good the food other claimed, the service is terrible. I was discriminated. It is subtly prejudice. I wasn't going to write another review but looking at the owner's replies to my initial review and other paying customer bad experiences, it is so distasteful that made me want to take it to the next level, expose its behavior. The owner arrogant, unapologetic, sarcastic, defensive patronize and lies validated my feelings were right about them. And don't think the Thai lady is the only owner! I am almost certain that she didn't write the reply.
Just as the comment he made to another dissatisfied customer, there are many Thai places in the area and don't need to spend money on this place.
It has good reviews because you will be treated royally if you are "white" or with "white" friends. Please go look at the low rating reviews and judge for yourself. Hope no one support this place.
I order from this place very often and occasionally will dine in. Each and every time the food is absolutely amazing. Fresh and tasty! The staff is also super friendly and helpful. You will always be greeted with a big smile. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Thai food.
The service was awful. Prejudice behind those smiles. I was told I need reservations but can sit at bar if I wait 10 minutes. Table opened and I asked if we can take seat, again told no because it's reserved. White couple came in without reservations and asked to wait. We then seated at the bar and 2 minutes later, the white couple came after us without reservations seated at the table. I was furious. Racism happens even with the same race (Asian). This restaurant obviously will only provide better service to the "Caucasian". I will never go back again and hope you do not support it behavior.
Had to make a 2nd post on Google map. This is how bad it is.
Reply to owner, nevertheless, the white couple also came on a slammed Friday without reservation but got seated at a table. I stormed out but didn't curse at the server. My exact words were "you should be sorry!" (She wasn't sorry until I called her out on it) English is not my first language either and I too wanted to cry for being prejudice against! No language is needed, action spoke louder. The fact is, we were rejected to be seated at the table when I asked then the table was given to a white couple without reservation shortly after. No matter how you twist it, fact is fact! Your reply shows isthe reason your server will treat non white customers that way. No one should spend money here and support this type of racism.
PS. I didn't delete the post I wrongly made on Thai Cafe. I apologized. Unlike you that don't know how to apologize and admit your wrong to make it better.

My favorite Thai spot in the neighborhood. I don't know why it's so hard to find really good pad thai and yellow curry in NYC, but here it is, and then some. Masaman curry, pad kee mao, pad see ew, tom yum, and fried rice dishes are also excellent, as well as the satay skewers. Love the feel of the place dining in as well. The sticky rice for dessert is perfect if you don't want something overly sweet.
The best Thai I’ve had in a long time and my go to in New York. Everything tastes so fresh clean and delicious. The menu is vast and diverse. Amazing value for such high quality. This is a true gem in NYC. My go-to dishes are the Papaya Salad, the Pad Kee Mao with beef is a MUST.
The food here is good, I’ve dined in and have used there delivery services multiple times and everything went great all up until now. I always tip everywhere I go or whatever I can and I’ve tipped every time at this place usually $3-$5 on deliveries and 20% with dine in. Recently I’ve ordered using there delivery services and was urged to tip which I did not like. I tip out of courtesy and out of quality of service. I tipped even after a bad service experience which was a rude customer service representative as well as the food not meeting its expectations. Recently I hadn’t tipped once or twice after the many times from ordering here as well as tipping every single time. I received numerous calls from this place around 10 at night and picked up the call thinking it was some emergency. It was just a staff member calling me about tipping and urging me to do it. I explained that I tip every time I just did not have cash on me. The guy was nice and all but I did not like the way he is calling me 10 at night demanding a tip even after I basically said I had no money on me and I’ve tipped every single time. He said the delivery service is free but you need to tip. If you’re demanding a tip for “free delivery service” it is not free!!! Just make a delivery fee so you can stop harassing and urging customers to tip! The delivery drivers don’t even say thank you for tips they just walk away. This is unacceptable and they have just lost multiple customers as me and my other friends will stop ordering from here due to this issue. Fix it.
I don’t normally write reviews but this place has the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had and everyone needs to know.
We came in for just casual dinner on weeknight. Surprisingly the restaurant was almost packed at 7pm, and people kept coming in, they probably had 3 rounds of customers.
The menu is more interesting than other regular Thai restaurants in GP, decor, table settings are cute. We enjoyed our dinner last night with good service. Definitely make a come back 😊
Perfect little restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious! Service was great! And they have an awesome lunch special!
Great, fresh Thai food. Love having such a nice local spot. Their curries and noodles are really good. Their take out never misses either. Definitely worth going to or ordering out from.
Best Thai restaurant in the area! Delicious, authentic food in a comfy space.
Cute restaurant and good food
The best thai food in greenpou
The best Thai food in nyc! We order every single week. Basil fried rice and pad kee mao are staples. Massaman curry is PERFECTION. Great vibe inside if you want to dine in!
This is undoubtedly the BEST THAI FOOD in Brooklyn and maybe NYC. Why is it so you good you ask? Consistency, quality and care… the owners are absolutely lovely and I’m so happy every time we take out or dine in at their establishment. If you like things extra spicy you can always ask them to kick it up a notch but the dishes are delicious just the way they are.
My go to is the Pad Kee Mao (extra spicy w/ beef) but I’ve loved every dish I’ve had there.
I highly recommend this place and I hope that Little Tiffin stays a staple of Greenpoint for a LONG time. ❤️🙌🏻
This has been my favorite Thai in the neighborhood. Everything is good just don’t order white rice. It came wrapped in a plastic obviously microwaved from frozen all hard and dried and wasn’t edible.
UPDATE : Something has changed? I’ve been here many times but food wasn’t that good as it was before. A lot more greasy and sweet. Making me food coma.
The pad kra pow duck was the most amazing Thai dish I’ve ever had - place was amazing!
Fantastic food and lovely vibe
Rude staff! And even terrible food. Go across the street to Thai cafe! Family owned and great food.
Incredible Thai food, very authentic!
Bold flavors with super fresh ingredients. We loved trying the $7 small bowl of soup sharing the fried squid and then having stir fry noodles each. Very tasty!
Oh and great, friendly service too!
My new favorite Thai spot in the city. You just get the lychee soda and the fried morning glory special… unforgettable. Such a good vibe and incredible service. Love this place so much!
Delicious delicious food, highly recommend for authentic Thai dishes in Greenpoint! Excellent service, beautiful ambiance.
A quiet, cozy Thai spot with friendly staff an delicious plates. Definitely a bit tight if you come in with a group of people, but fantastic for a bite to eat with one or two others.
Best Thai food … maybe ever? Highly recommend the KHAO MOK GAI | ข้าวหมกไก่ (GF). The flavors are so diverse and delicious. Spicy and sweet. Savory and refreshing. The mint sauce and sipping broth make the dish. Another fav is the crab fried rice. Everything is worth a try!
Excellent.
Amazing taste. Great service. Nice vibes.
Loved the pad thai and friendly service. Flavours are all there. Would definitely come back again!
We arrived at 3 pm and it wasn't busy. The food came out quickly. We ordered from the lunch menu and the portion was more than enough to fill me up (a 110 lb person), but my bf was still hungry. May need to order more for someone with a bigger appetite.
My go to spot for Thai food in the area
Best Thai in the neighborhood hands down - feels family run, super authentic and offers dishes others don’t. Worth little extra $ for quality and taste. Can’t recommend enough, love this place!
One of my favorite restaurants in Greenpoint!
Fabulous food and great service. It got a little noisy at 7, but was still an excellent experience!!!
Excellent food. Vegan options. Really great service and atmosphere. A very pleasurable dining experience
Delicious food, great service, beautiful ambience 😻
It’s no exaggeration when I say Little Tiffin is me and my partner’s favorite restaurant. It’s everything about it really - the staff is so sweet and the ambiance is perfection. The tunes are really fun. And the food is simple and fresh ingredients at their finest. My personal favs are the goong ob woonsen and khanom jeeb pak. For dessert you must get the seasonal sticky rice. Don’t sleep on their sake selection either. The Junmai is awesome. Trust me and eat here, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Little Tiffin! :)
Best Thai food in New York! I loved the pad thai with tofu and can't wait to try more items soon.
なかなか美味しかった。二人で食べて50~60ドルだったから(アルコールなし)、そんなに高くはない。
