I planned to visit for lunch when it turned out the inside dining area was closed and they only had takeout, with a few tables of outdoor seating on the sidewalk which was rather disappointing.

The food itself was quite good and I had gotten the lunch set. The guy at the cashier recommended the spicy beef salad which was very flavorful with a good amount of beef. The Pad Thai was good but not too remarkable. Overall, the portions felt kinda small for the price.

I was the only one in there. I sat there for 15 minutes while she ignored me. I finally get up and get my own menu. Another couple walked in 15 minutes after me and she gets then menus and serves them ? At this point I decided to say something. I said “ excuse me I was here first and 15 minutes ago. She yells at me something and that’s when I decided to leave ..worst service ever and extremely rude.

We were in a rush and they got us out in 40 minutes. Thank you wait staff. The pad see ew was great, but the beef was overcooked and tough. The kao soi was great.

Diner Review №7

The Tom Kha is really fishy and was inedible. The Pad Thai had so much garlic each bite had pieces of garlic in it. It was awful

Diner Review №8

We ordered Pad See Ew and Pad Dranken Noodles before heading to LAX. The food came after 20 min even the shop was empty when we arrived and the waitress told us she will expedite our orders. Both of these dishes usually is kind of oily being a stir fry noodles. But the two we had were unusual and Extra Oily. There weren’t anytime left for a substitute. That night and next day me and my daughter paid for it with gas, blotting, indigestion, etc.
We stopped here for Thai food for years and last evening was our last. The excessive use of oil or bad oil was the problem here.

Can't wait to go back.

The BEST Thai food in town!!

Diner Review №13

Am very disappointed in this business. Have been a long-time customer and supported them through covid. I put in an online order for pick up on 12/20/24 for lunch and they refused to let me pick up my order without waiting in the long line for ordering (despite having a second open window labeled for pick up orders, but no one working there). There were 4 people working but only one person taking orders.

Will not be ordering from here again. They need better customer service and kinder attitude to long time customers. Please have a better pick up system in place, if you have a open window labeled for pick up, please have someone working there (or close the window), and please be kind if a customer asks to pick up rather than rudely telling them to get out of your restaurant.

Diner Review №14

My friend's were raving about Ayara Thai as being their favorite Thai restaurant on the west side, and I have to say that they certainly are up there in quality and pricing.

Having just landed at LAX, it was a close enough walk to get to Ayara Thai from Terminal 1 to meet friends for lunch. They do not offer dine-in for lunch but have plenty of outdoor seating. You order either from the kiosk or with the staff at the window.

Their menu was massive and I was so pleased to see how everything vegan or vegetarian was clearly marked, and you had the option to veganize items. Plus, there lunch deal is fabulous - for $20, you get a main, appetizer, and a drink. That's awesome!

I went with their Tofu Pad See-Ew with papaya salad and a Thai Tea (which uses a non-dairy creamer). The noodles were fire and the use of Chinese broccoli does not go unnoticed. Papaya salad had a nice kick to it as well.

My friends shared their Tom Yum and Fried Tofu and both were also delicious. They really do serve up some high quality Thai and I'm so glad we got to try them on this short visit. Highly recommend anyone come over for lunch to take advantage of their combo deal.

Diner Review №15

Really delicious food! The veggie panang curry had such an array of fresh vegetables, it was wonderful. And the folks working there were very helpful. I'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

Diner Review №16

Excellent service. However the Thai food was very mediocre.

Diner Review №17

the best Thai restaurant in LA, highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. A must when visiting LA. Our server Jade was amazing!

Diner Review №18

We’ve been here multiple times and food its One of ok. Tonight we got here at 9:05 and didn’t get a table because they close at 10 pm…. If you want to go home at 10 maybe change your closing time so people flighting in don’t waste time and money coming here.

Diner Review №19

My dad and I came to Ayara in October on our way to LAX and we can't stop talking about it! We were in town for the Joni Mitchell concert and this was our favorite restaurant throughout our entire visit. Great service and incredible food! This will be our first stop next time we are in LA

Good place to enjoy Thai food. Their green curry and spicy basil fried rice is very nice. Good and fast service. I would highly recommend this place to all.

Diner Review №22

The food was outstanding, exceeded only by the joyful and delightful service!

Diner Review №23

I really enjoyed this place. I got the panang curry. The only thing about this dish it you get a little rice for the portion of curry you get. If the portion of curry was a little smaller it would be perfect! Otherwise it might be wise to share with someone. The curry was flavorful however I wish it was a little more spicy. My group also got the veggie rolls and they were also good but if they weren’t packed as tightly they’d be better because everytime wed take a bite the whole inside would come out in the first bite. Overall a really good meal

I went Friday night at about 7 PM.
They asked us if we wanted to dine in or take it off I said take out. As we were reading the menu she came back to the window and said it would be 45 minutes to an hour...for take out I asked? She said yes, I looked at my son and I looked back at her and said, "Nevermind."
We ended up going across the parking lot to Noodle World Jr.😊

Diner Review №36

Wow, this place has great food. I got the Pad Thai special with lobster and crab and it was excellent. I found this place via Google maps search and walked here after dropping off my rental car. I was able to get seated right away and the service was great. I also had the lemon grass ice sorbet which was also great.

I can't wait to return here again when I return to LA.

Diner Review №37

I thought the best Thai food was in Thai town. It's in Westchester. It's everything I want from a restaurant: great food, better service.

Patty sang happy birthday to me without missing a beat. Give Patty a raise. Ask to sit in her section.

The food will be delicious no matter what you order.

A Los Angeles staple. Long Live Ayara!

Diner Review №38

Not recommended. Ordered the Spicy Eggplant, carry out. What I received was a dish lacking not even a hint of spicy. It was also bland, watery, with way too much sugar. Of all the Asian food I’ve eaten over the years, this dish was near the bottom.

Pretty authentic Thai food in the middle of no where.
Pork belly was a little dry. Skip n became hard when it cooled down.
Chicken wings very tender.
Curry was flavourful but could do with more spices.

Thursday, 10/03/2024 - Went to try Ayara Thai again. Had dinner here this time. I wanted to give it a 2nd chance. We tried this place in 2022 and wasn't too impressed. Well.... things has changed since 2022!

Pros
1) we got seated pretty quickly. The hostess was very nice.
2) our waitress was very nice too. She was quick. She checked on us several times. Made sure had our water refilled twice.
3) there's seating in door and out doors.
4) restaurant was simply decorated. Clean.
5) utensils, napkins, chopsticks, condiments in the table.
6) Khao Soi and Lobster Pad Thai was very good. Khao Soi is in the spicey side, but good. Both food dish was really good. Flavorful.
7) Butterfly Shrimp dish was plain. But the dip that came with it was good. Made the shrimp even better.
8) Thai tea good.

Cons
1) none

Conclusion
I liked it here. Service was quick. Foods were delicious. Flavorful. Staffs, nice. Restaurant, cute. Parking, easy + free. Bathroom is to the back of restaurant and it was clean. Smelled nice. I will definitely go here again.

Underrated gem of delightful Thai flavors. Pleasantly surprised by the lively and welcoming atmosphere on an early Thursday evening. Loved the papaya salad, spicy beef salad, and the green curry. The balance between sour and savory sang though the whole meal.

Diner Review №49

My uncle and cousins came from out of town to visit and they wanted a good Thai place. This was suggested to us and I have to say, I was very surprised. I don’t really like Thai food but for some reason I loved many of the dishes here. The spicy stuff was the perfect amount of spices too. It was also really great to see that they didn’t shy away from using a lot of jumbo shrimp in my dish. Definitely would go again.

Diner Review №50

My family and I had lunch here and the food was delicious. We had pad Thai and it had great flavor. The service was good. We ate on the tables outside and the weather was perfect.

Diner Review №51

Ayara Thai in LA is a gem for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine. I recently tried their Pad Thai and Pad See Ew, and both dishes were outstanding. The flavors were rich and balanced, with the right amount of spice and freshness. What truly stood out was their exceptional service; the staff went out of their way to ensure our meals were ready before our flight, showing genuine care for their customers. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious meal!

Diner Review №55

Ayara is a great thai restaurant that serves the non se asian palate.
It’s around the corner just before LAX. It’s in a little street, tugged in the back of Manchester Blvd.
My wife and I ordered tom kha, chicken mint leaves, and pad soon sen. The tom kha was so fresh and creamy, with five large shrimps and oyster mushroom in coconut soup. The chicken mint leaves consists of fresh ground chicken, cut long bean, and could use more basil. The glass noodle was so fresh and the noodles were perfectly stir fried. One drawback to the dishes that we ordered was, the suspected MSG, that could have been used during cooking. My wife had that MSG effect after the meal. We also had a Thai tea, which was on as diluted side.
I love the attentive service of happy servers, who were very helpfully taking photos for us
and answering questions that we asked.
The food was priced for freshness and great service. We were so hungry so the food were so appetizing. Thank you Ayara Thai.

Diner Review №56

Tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday.. The food has ZERO flavor.. Maybe this is how they serve the dishes when a spice level is not requested.. I would highly recommend choosing another Thai restaurant.. There are so many wonderful Thai restaurants in the South Bay..

Diner Review №57

I'm sure the outdoor seating and casual way I was able to order from the kiosk and enjoy the refreshing breeze while I waited for my food at one of the tables is generating some bias in me, but the flavor of the Pad Thai at this small local Thai establishment is quite possibly the most delightful I've ever tasted. I did not dine inside, so I can't speak to the interior service, but the casual outdoor counter serve service was very friendly, though it did take 20+ minutes to receive my meal. Quality takes time, so don't come in a rush.

Diner Review №58

Diner Review №59

Really good Thai food. Make sure you tell your waiter/tress how spicy hot you want your dishes.

Diner Review №60

Came for diner and bought 3 dishes. Two of the 3 dishes were noodles and were ok. Last dish was the green curry that was underwhelming as it was pure bamboo shoots …. No chicken at all.

Plus the rice size was so small that I could literally have like 5.

Anyways…. Waste of money

Diner Review №61

Love Ayara Thai! A little neighborhood gem. The food is elegant and delicious, but the setting is relaxed and the servers are friendly. Plenty of vegetarian options, and they are careful to tailor your meal to your needs.

Incredible food. We had drunken noodles, fried rice, Thai Tea, and the Thai Tea Flan. Everything was so good even when eating it an hour later.

Diner Review №68

Ayara Thai PLEASE read this review! I have not eaten here in a couple of years. Before yesterday, I would eat at your restaurant several times/month. What happened? The Crying Tiger Beef used to be an almost religious experience eating it, we would always order at least a second serving, yesterday it was terrible and what is this sauce on the side? The Massaman Curry had zero flavor. And lacked all ingredients. Virtually no potato’s, very little chicken and two peanuts. It used to be FULL of all these ingredients! Again, before I would eat myself into agony because I could not sto eating it! The Pad Thai yesterday was edible.

Years ago you had a line waiting to get in. Now, the back area is empty of customers and full of stored furniture. Hello???!!!!!! In my opinion, another nonsensical move by a restaurant of cutting corners to save money. It is a death spiral for a restaurant. Reduce quality returns a reduction of customers which leads to further reduction of quality which leads to a further reduction of clients all the way to closure of the restaurant! Insane! Your restaurant was MY favorite Thai restaurant in all of Los Angeles. Your restaurant was FULL of customers! I will NEVER return. Sad

We stopped by here to grab dinner while staying in LAX area.

The food was delicious. I ordered the glass noodles salad and it was quite delicious and flavorful.

The drunken noodles were good too.

Diner Review №73

Just WOW! From the second we walked into this place, it felt like being welcomed into someone’s home for a meal. Our server was Ploy and she was probably the greatest waitress I’ve ever had. She was so kind, thoughtful, and on top of everything! I can honestly say her personality made our experience over the top!!
Everything was so reasonably priced. We got two appetizers, three entrees, and two desserts for less than $100.
Now, the food was mouthwateringly delicious. I love Thai food and this was AMAZING! Most notably, their thai tea flan is probably one of the best desserts I’ve had. But the drunken noodles were also fantastic! You cannot go wrong with giving this place a try.

Diner Review №74

I got a chicken pad Thai, I swear it had like a single bite of chicken, and some tufo. For 17$ I’m rly disappointed. The flavor overall just wasn’t it .

Diner Review №75

So I've been trying out many restaurants for the past couple of years due to the fact that I've been delivering food with uber and doordash. Every time I come here to pick up food it looks very busy. I've been told I have great taste in food and I like to believe so as well. I decided to try Ayara and I must say it did not disappoint. I highly recommend it if you love Thai food. I've tried about 6 different thai restaurants in the area and this one by far is the best.

Been eating hear for many years and have enjoyed the ambiance and the cuisine. A friend used to work there but she went back to Thailand. The portions have gotten much smaller and the prices have gone up... 😕 being on a fixed income, this does not make me want to continue to patronize this business any longer !!

Diner Review №83

Hidden gem type of feel in terms of the interior space and its location. Friendly service, great Thai food. I would recommend making a reservation if you have your heart set on going, just due to its size.

Diner Review №89

I went to this Restaurant with my husband to enjoy dinner and we enjoyed the delicious food. We were ready to pay and asked for the check we paid electronically and we selected no tip because we always leave a cash tip, I was so scared when the waitress came behind me and said you forgot the tip or are you going to leave a cash tip she said to us. I found that tasteless, rude, and out of place.
The waitress is an overweight woman who's pushy and obviously watching the computer checking who is leaving a tip. The owner of the Restaurant should be happy that customers are coming to the restaurant to spend money. The tip is optional for good service.
We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and we will never go back.

Diner Review №90

This is my new go to spot when I need to eat after a long flight into LAX airport. I just got back from Miami and when we landed we were so hungry. We wanted soup, so when I yelped soup at 9:00pm on a Sunday night, I found Ayara Thai.

I saw they had Tom Yum and Tom Kha and just knew this is where I needed to be. When we arrived at 9:20pm they were not taking anymore walk ins but I told them we knew what we wanted and would be fast. The cashier was so nice and let us sit and order.

We ordered Muay Thai Wings, Classic Papaya Salad, Tom Kha Hotpot, and Drunken Noodles. It was so much food for 2 people and so delicious! Our waitress Jean was very nice and bubbly, great energy! The place was packed and the ambiance was small and intimate with A lot of friends getting together or date nights. The prices were reasonable and there was tons of parking. I decided this is my new spot when in this area of town.

I came back a week later on a Saturday at 6pm after picking up my niece from the airport and it was packed with an hour wait. I wanted to have their food so bad and I was happy to see they offered takeout and actually have outside seating where you can eat.

This time the two of us ordered Tom Yum, Spicy Basil Pork Belly, and of course the drunken noodles which is my favorite dish! I liked the Tom Yum better than the Tom Kha and for me the pork belly was a bit too salty, but my niece loved it. I can’t wait to try more stuff on my next trip home from the airport.

Diner Review №96

Diner Review №97

the egg rolls are overrated. but the soup and pad thai were really good

Diner Review №98

The food was delicious. The service was abysmal. I ordered online. It took an hour and a half to retrieve my order. There were at least 15-20 orders ready to go on a table inside the restaurant. There were at least that many people outside, either waiting to order, or to pick up their orders.

The problem was that there was no clear direction for the people congregating outside of the restaurant. Additionally, since there were so many people outside, it would have made sense to see if any of the orders on the table belonged to the throng outside.

Diner Review №99

The best Thai food I’ve had in LA. We randomly found this place near our hotel! Omg the veggie spring rolls, Drunken noodles and Pad Thai were amazing. It’s a must visit if you’re visiting LA. They take sometime to prepare unlike other restaurants,
coz looks like they prepare everything from scratch.

Diner Review №100

This place is fire. The food is absolutely delicious and never disappoints.

However making a reservation is necessary if you don't want the wait of sometimes 45 minutes. It's not a pop in kind of place.

More tables are needed. The staff is friendly and can assist with choices and explain dishes too.

So tasty

Diner Review №101

Unless you're craving a culinary rollercoaster ride, skip the Pineapple Fried Rice at Ayara. I've had Thai food across SoCal, and let me tell you, this dish was a letdown. The tomato-chili sauce turned everything into a bizarre sweet and sour mashup.
I asked one of my colleagues to confirm my taste bud tragedy, and she agreed with me, so I know I am not simply being hypercritical here.

Pineapple Fried Rice is my Thai food safety net, my culinary compass! Ayara, we could've been something special, but you served me a dish of disappointment. I'll give two stars instead of one because despite my disappointment, my colleagues and I (a group of 10) placed a hefty takeout order on a busy workday, and everyone else seemed to be pleased with their meals.

Diner Review №102

Oy vey this place is not good. So many good reviews, I saw one person say everything is bland and thought no way that can be true.

Everything is indeed bland and taste the same. The pad thai literally has no flavor of tamarind or fish sauce, and the tom kha was pretty much curdled coconut milk that was an undrinkable consistency....maybe that's how people like it here? Yikes.

Diner Review №103

It was alright. I ordered glass noodles (Pad Woon Sen) and was not the greatest compared to other places I’ve tried. I believe the restaurant should add less of the soy sauce and/or oyster sauce it comes with. It was too much of the sauce added and made the glass noodles not so great. The chicken fried rice was good and the wonton soup had good taste. My favorite was the Thai Tea Flan which I’ve never had and it was amazing! I would get that dessert again!

Diner Review №104

Diner Review №112

This restaurant is a gem of Thai restaurant in the Westchester area. The food is prepared in the traditional cuisine of Thai. I enjoyed my Pad Thai with large shrimps. The baby back ribs were tender with flavor. They did not disappointed us with our dinner. This small restaurant that has been in the same location for the past 2 decades. The customer service is superb! This is that restaurant where they remembered you from your last visit. I made reservations which is recommended for Friday and Weekend dining. We were seated right away! Jade is a wonderful server! She ask each of her guests if they had any food allergies. We enjoyed our food and cocktails 🍹. There is a neat patio with heater. There is plenty of free parking.

I have eaten a great deal of Thai food in my life and I believe this to be the best meal I have had amongst all of those. Every dish was excellent. We ordered Veggie Rolls, When Tigers Cry Tri-Tip, Not Your Mama's Wonton Soup, Pad See Ew, Ayara Fried Rice, and Drunken Noodles medium spicy and I would be excited to have any one of those again.

The service was attentive and friendly even on a busy Thursday night with a wait. I will be looking forward to returning the next time I am in LA.

Diner Review №116

Hands down the best Thai food I have ever had.

Diner Review №117

Our group of four went on a Friday night. We didn’t make a reservation, but our wait was only 20 minutes. If you go on a weekend day, recommend making reservations. The 20 mins we waited was well worth it. We have eaten at many Thai places over the years in various states. In SoCal we have a couple of favorites, but when we were here recently it was too far to drive to them. So we discovered Ayara in Culver City area where we were staying. Excellent Thai dishes! Good size portions and reasonably priced. I had the Ginger stir fry with chicken and requested basil be added. It was delicious and fresh. Two of our group ordered spicy basil chicken stir fry with a fried egg on top. They loved it. I would never want a fried egg on top of my Thai food but to each his own. It looked really yummy even with the fried egg, though. Fourth person got a dish with shrimp. He liked it but was a little too spicy for him. But that was his fault as waitress told him it was spicy. It looked delicious to me. If you aren’t into spicy, make sure you order something else or extra mild. Our waitress, Patty, was a delightful person!
We will definitely come back here if in this particular area again. See picture of spicy basil dish with my post. I forgot to take picture of mine and other person’s shrimp dish.

Not just the best Thai food I've had since coming back from Thailand, but some of the best food I've had in a while, period. The 4 star atmosphere is actually a good thing - this is a really nice local spot, wonderfully decorated, but you can come in a T-shirt and jeans without feeling out of place.

I live on the east coast, but business takes me to, and thru LAX.
Any time I come thru here, I extend my layover so I can come to this restaurant.
I could have been sleeping in my own bed tonight after 20 days on the road, but instead, I added an overnight layover so I could come here.

Diner Review №134

I found Araya Thai after quick Google of Thai restaurants near LAX airport and reading the reviews. The prior reviewers did a good just with the details and influenced which dishes I would order. The ambiance in the restaurant was welcoming and the service was really good. I was there on a Wednesday evening so it was busy but I did not have to wait long for my food. I had the shrimp Pad Thai for my entree and steak with lettuce for my appetizer. The spring rolls and fresh coconut water was also very good and refreshing. I would definitely visit again and try more of their dishes when I visit LA again.

Diner Review №136

What a lovely place. I was in the area for the day and I was looking for a place to get some Thai food. I found this place on Google Maps and I just went cuz the reviews and the pictures look good.

And of course, after I had it, it tasted like home. Sorry I didn’t mention the fact that I’m from Thailand, lol.
The girl (Ploy) who helped me with my order was so sweet! I ordered a Cha Ma Nao and PadThai…Mmmm scrumptious! (There should be Chinese chives in PadThai, not green onions and “they sure do it right!!”).

While I was eating and enjoying the weather outside, Ploy came out with a sealed paper bag saying it’s a dessert for me from the owner. I was touched, how generous and kind is that! It’s Thai Tea Flan btw, and yes it was very good! I’d love to come back and try other dishes at some point.

Thank you so much for such a pleasant experience. 🙏🏼☺️❤️

I’ve always enjoyed atará Thai for freshness of food and overall tastiness. Recently though I have noticed a dip in quality. Today my family and I ordered out and my husband and I got stomach aches after eating the food. The pad Thai tasted very sweet, the chicken was mushy and overall flavor of food was off.

Diner Review №138

I’m tired of their attitude toward delivery drivers. They do our orders last and make us wait a long time to get our food (not less than 15min after arrival).
The customer already paid and is waiting just like any other person. Make the food in order at least, you’re costing drivers money when you make our food last and making our/your customers wait longer.
It is incredibly unprofessional and rude to us drivers who are on your team. By making us drivers wait longer you are actually costing us money.
And lately I've seen take out customers waiting the same amount of time, also pock up customers canceling their orders on spot because it wasn't ready whatever time they got there.
It really doesn't seems right.

Edit: it has changed since my review 1 year ago, with a new pick up window and great service.

Khoa Soi was so good. Worth the drive from San Fernando.

Diner Review №141

I got the lunch special with wings, fried rice, and Thai iced tea. The food came out in 20 min. It was piping hot, cooked perfectly, and packed with value for the price. The Thai soy sauce and chili fish sauce were great with the fried rice. All in all, perfect meal for the price point.

Only criticism is that they don’t open the indoor dining room for lunch. The outdoor area was dirty and not adequately maintained.

Diner Review №142

Great spot near LAX. Don’t go without reservation! Lots of vegetarian options, food is great. I would recommend their curries and noodles.

Fantastic food. Absolutely delicious. Loved it. Great service, too. If you live by the lax it's a must try.

Diner Review №147

Worth the wait!! But definitely plan ahead! We got the wings, pad see ew and pineapple fried rice. The pad see ew noodles and flavor were the best I’ve ever had :) and I’m half Thai :P super friendly staff and they warned us about the long wait both for take out and a table since we didn’t call or reserve ahead! Next time I’ll definitely order ahead of time! It also made the Michelin guide in 2019 which makes sense! Such a great place!

Diner Review №148

Great food. Service was good too. Table so close next to us that the party next to us was loud and obnoxious but would repeat

Diner Review №149

A few times a year the do Thai bbq. Keep an eye on their instagram, is the only place in the city that offers it.

Diner Review №150

Probably some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten. It was very flavorful, balanced, fresh, and light. We tried four different dishes (mixed mushroom tom kha, vegetable pad thai, green curry, and kai jeaw omelet), and we loved all of them! The food is also very reasonably priced. We would highly recommend this restaurant, and it will likely be our go-to Thai spot in the future.

Diner Review №151

Loved Ayara!!! Visiting from Idaho and some of the best Thai I’ve ever had! Would fly here just for the food and Michael! He was a rockstar and gladly served our party of 10! Amazing food! Amazing service!

Diner Review №152

Visiting from Idaho! I had a pretty big group they let us to takeout in the patio and they were everything and more! The food was so good! Best curry ever! Michael was amazing and took it upon himself to serve our group outside even though we already did takeout! He was so fun and kind and went above and beyond! Thank you for a great experience!

Diner Review №153

BE AWARE of the details: The cuisine is good, however we were not aware that its a "to go" only venue during the day with a dirty patio and tables dirty and never cleaned. Only at night you can sit inside. And when you get your food during the day, its packaged "To Go" even if you sit outside on their messy / dirty patio. Worst of all, you can not use the restroom as the door is locked to get in during the day. I wasn't even aware they could deny use of facilities in LA! The young man at the order counter is not polite and seems to not want to be there.

Diner Review №154

The food was incredible and the service was amazing! Alize and Michael were the sweetest people.

Diner Review №155

Before the big but:
The food was incredible and so tasty, we had a bit of waiting time which was fine because we didn’t reserve. We ate starters and two curry’s and also the fresh coconuts and dessert was very nice. Nothing to complain about the restaurant itself either. It was actually such a nice dinner and we were very very happy.

BUT: when we went outside after paying, the service girl came literally running after us saying very confrontational that we forgot to put a tip and started to make us feel very very uncomfortable, making it look like it would be mandatory to put one or we are unwelcome. The service was good no doubt but that should be a standard and not depending on whether you give extra money or not because it is literally the job of a waiter. We like to tip when we have the financial capacity to give away extra money, when the service was exceptional or when we simply decide to do so because it is our money and we paid for what we bought. All in all this action made our beautiful dinner which we were honestly so so enthusiastic about take an uncomfortable turn and we are not sure if to return because this in my opinion is just rude. Hope managers and staff take this into account and solve the issue internally so all the good of this place doesn’t get pulled down by unnecessary stuff like this.

Diner Review №156

Delicious, authentic Thai food near LAX. If you’re staying at a hotel airport and craving for Thai, this is the place!

Diner Review №157

Food takes a while to come out but is worth the wait! There's chill music playing as we hang out at a table.

Service was great & food was good but the Pad Woon Sen was a bit dry and needed more flavor. The chicken sate was great! I recommend this place & order the Pad Thai next time.

Diner Review №161

Ein kleines aber sehr schönes Lokal mit leckerem Essen und freundlichen Personal.
Preislich auf LA Niveau.
Es gibt einen To-Go Schalter und man kann draußen essen, jedoch nur mit Selbstbedienung am Schalter.

Diner Review №162

Came here yesterday for the penang. So good. Came back today but they only do take out until 5. No dine in until 5. I haven't had good experiences with takeout, but they package it well and it tastes great. 5 stars

Diner Review №163

Omg this hidden gem slaps! The food was great. The service was good too.

Diner Review №164

This restaurant was new to me and the food was excellent. I ate there twice in a week. I will be back when I come to visit.

Diner Review №165

Our favorite neighborhood restaurant - very creative and always throwing fun events that highlight their fantastic food. They do a great takeout/delivery business. We also hired Ayara Thai to cater our wedding and they served up a memorable meal to our 175+ guests!

so the best thing about this place was the young guy taking the orders. he was so nice to all the angry impatient people.

orders took a very long time and nobody told me how long to expect. for your own sake, ask.

food was good, but a ton of garlic, be warned.

Diner Review №168

Great tasting Thai food, ambiance and service

Diner Review №169

Sorry about the very late review :D
The food was amazing.
Jade and Ploy were exceptional hosts(most beautiful hostesses in LA)<3333333 They deserve double the tips and a promotion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Diner Review №170

Good food, but it took an hour to get our food. It seemed that their other orders were also backed up. Waste of my time

Diner Review №171

Food is good, but a really long wait to get a table on weekends. Pretty spicy even for medium spicy level. Remember to reserve a table or be prepared to get cozy at the Book Jewel next door!

Diner Review №172

By far the best Thai food I've eaten in my 33 years of life. We had the Khao Soi, Mixed Mushrooms, Shrimp Paste Fried Rice, Tom Kha Soup and wings. All the flavors were amazing and so different from each other these are definitely a must have and only 4 minutes from LAX and you can't forget to grab a mango sticky rice and passion fruit chocolate mousse cake for dessert. They are really doing something beautiful at this place. I can't wait to have another layover in LA just to come here!

Diner Review №173

Delicious food and service was great. The lady that served us was so friendly, everyone did a great job. Thank you so much for your service.

Diner Review №174

Great quality food (taste and ingredients) and good service. The prices are on the high side and the serving side is modest. Would have been great value otherwise.

Diner Review №175

It was beautiful out so we ate outside under a heated awning. Delicious food with my beautiful wife -- a great experience. Why not stop by with your wife for a romantic meal . Tell them Joe sent you. . . They'll ask Joe who? That's me

Diner Review №176

Nice Thai restaurant located near LAX. 30 min walk. Offers a nice selection of Thai food.

Diner Review №177

A short stop for dinner before the next flight home. Food was delicious and would recommend the glass noodle salad. Ate it all up before i remembered to take a photo of it.

I was treated nicely with respect and dignity by Nicky the server when I ordered my takeaway Ayara pork belly fried rice on 28th of October.
However, when I tried to order my food later in the evening, the lady server who was on duty at the takeaway counter was extremely rude. I told her I felt cold and needed to wait for my takeaway in the dining area instead of outside. Instead of suggesting alternative to me, she flatly refused and rejected my request. I asked to speak to another staff, and She replied to me in a condescending tone that I have to wait without specifying the time. She even has the audacity told me to apologise to her by saying customers are not always right ! I was appalled by her attitude and behaviour !
Mike diffused the situation by offering to turn on the heater for me located at each outdoor table and even gave me discount for my dinner.
Such contrasting behaviour and attitude being exhibited by 2 different servers from an established restaurant !
The lady server on duty will need to be re- trained on her customer service skills and adopt the right attitude on how to respect and treat customers with respect.

Amazing Authentic Thai restaurant. We got the Pad Thai and Thai Basil plate. Both dishes were absolutely delicious and I will certainly be going back in the future. Highly recommend!

Ordered pickup via Uber Eats which indicated there will be a 45 min wait. Got to the restaurant after 45 min and found they haven't even started making my order. Asked me to wait for another half hour. I was too hungry to wait any longer so I asked if I could cancel and they agreed. Since my card was already charged, I asked if I could get a receipt for the cancellation. They refused claiming that they can't and the cancellation to Uber can only be handled at the end of the day. They ended up marking the order complete and I'm still charged without food or my refund.

Diner Review №185

Best Thai food I ever had so far. Didn’t expect that good in LA. Beautiful ambience and friendly staff. Gets crowded so you need to book advance or wait 30-45 mins outside.

Diner Review №186

Delicious food

Diner Review №187

food was amazing, would come again

Diner Review №188

So good! It was so busy and for good reason. Each dish we had was so good. I bet everything on the menu is good. I've also got food to go and that was even good after traveling home with it. I can't wait to go back and try some more dishes. If its the weekend, I recommend making a reservation if you can or come in and expect to put your name down on the waiting list. The restaurant itself is small but it's worth the wait. 10/10 would recommend.

Diner Review №189

This was my first time eating at Ayara. The server was delightful, the food incredible and the ambiance was quaint and cozy setting. We had the beef salad, prepared waterfall style which the server recommended...so good. The pad see ew was fresh with a variety of delicious vegetables and tofu; you can get it with beef, chicken or shrimp too. And the crispy vegetable rolls had noodles in them as well and a nice sweet and sour sauce. Excellent overall, highly recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining with my family there , a Thai gem that truly authenticity of flavors in each dish showcased the chef's skill and dedication to traditional Thai cuisine. The Pad Thai was a standout, perfectly balancing sweet and savory notes with flawlessly cooked noodles. The Yellow Curry had a delightful depth, and the use of fresh ingredients was evident throughout. The restaurant's ambiance was inviting, providing a cozy setting for a memorable meal. The attentive staff and prompt service further enhanced the overall dining experience. It is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Thailand in a welcoming atmosphere.

If there is one thing I dislike is to drive to the restaurant based on the hours posted on google maps and once you get there it’s closed.

Me and my friends went to this place to satisfy all our spice cravings and we are glad we chose this place. Food here is amazing and the same are the staff. They are very polite and friendly. Definitely will revisit this place when am back in LA.
