I usually get the green papaya salad & / or pad see ewe but the soup hit the spot & was exactly what I needed. The owners are so kind. It really feels homey here. Down to earth service with delicious food & a comfy atmosphere. I came all the from the San Gabriel Valley because I knew it would not disappoint. The vibe here is so good & genuine. I’ve had thai food from 3 other places this year & they don’t come close to Tasty Food To Go! So flavorful & reasonably priced for the portions you get. It’s challenging to pick a dish because everything is so yuuuum!!! Tofu Pad Thai (chose very spicy) is the best I’ve ever had: perfect taste & texture, just added some lime once I got home. My mum’s coconut soup tasted wonderful, the way the lemongrass & other flavors complement each other is such a joy!

First timer tonight. We got chicken pad see ew and chicken pad thai, and a mango sticky rice. The staff was warm and friendly, and made suggestions for what items to try next.

Everything was super delicious, with big portion sizes for the noodle dishes. The pad see ew was just the right amount of funky, and very savory and good. The noodles were beautifully chewy! The pad thai was also great; everything tasted fresh and authentic. The mango sticky rice had a rich deep flavor that I've never tasted in that dish before!

We'll definitely be back again for more!

This is the best it gets next to Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos cuisine (having traveled to these countries my self) and the closest! Every time I visit SoCal, I make sure to go out if my way to get me some really good authentic pad Thai and beef salad (as shown in photos). I have not yet tried any of their other specialty dishes cause I never get tired of having the same thing here lol but I’m sure it’s super delicious, you can’t go wrong! High quality and fresh ingredients for a very good reasonable price for the amount of portions you get. Make sure to get a side order of egg rolls and Thai tea with your meal, super good and rich in flavor.

I knew the food was gonna be good as soon as I saw the cooks in the kitchen. It was a group of grandmas and one grandpa in charge of peeling. So you know it was made with love. I got the fried chicken and chicken pad thai. The fried chicken was ok but the pad thai was great. The portion was alot bigger than I expected, it's more than enough for two people. I would absolutely recommend and will be back.

I’m not sure if it was just the day we went but the food we got wasn’t as tasty as we thought it would be based on the reviews. We ordered 2 pad Thai, fried rice, and 2 pad see ew for a dinner with family.

The food was pretty mediocre in terms of taste. Everything just tasted salty and a bit oily but I didn’t get the signature flavors I was expecting out of the pad Thai and pad see ew. The pad Thai was missing some sweet, tangy flavor and the pad see ew also didn’t have that smoky/sweet and savory taste. I think it was edible but not my preferred taste for sure.

I was mainly disappointed about the flavors. We didn’t however, eat this 30 mins after picking up so that might have impacted flavors? Either way, this was my first time not really finishing my Thai food…I’d recommend pad Thai classic for better take out.

I wouldn’t say a were treated bad, but it just seemed like the woman at the register was busy or didn’t care for talking much. Just something I noticed as I tried to make small conversation. To be fair we weren’t there for the service and it’s a to-go spot so take that as you will.

Definitely a hidden gem. Delicious food. We had green curry with beef, pad kee mao, and pad see we. The green curry was delicious. Creamy and just the perfect flavor of coconut balancing the flavor. You can taste the basil in the pad kee mao. Pad see we is delicious too. Will definitely come back.

They recently raised their prices months ago increased their amount served to justify for the new price........ which for a mint chicken in long beach is the most expensive restaurant, now after months of their new adjusted price they cut the amount they serve you in half the owner is argumentative and rude ive been coming her for 6 plus years gave over thousands of my.money to this place just for it to turn into another monopoly used to be a gem hole in the wall clearly thr youth I'd this family who took over are ruining it. BTW if yoy call to complain they will dock your name and number and serve you spit on food.

Not even close, the best Thai joint in LB. Food takes a hot minute to come out but that’s because they’re authentically whipping it up in the back. Seriously though, insanely delicious and portions are huge. Lam, the owner, was super accommodating and just an overall good dude. Family and I love this place, we’ll be returning to try the rest of the menu.

4 star food, -2 for passive aggressive service. Called to leave feedback after frequenting the place for months. I was concerned about one of my takeout orders after coming for 5+ times and loving it every time even when they were cash only.

Manager Annie met me with a defensive attitude and told me my concerns weren't valid. They thought I was gonna fight them for money back or something so they refused to hear me out.

obviously I'm not getting refunded on two $16 plates of takeout that would be a miracle anywhere. I just wanted to let them know about my experience, but they told me I was wrong and offered no solutions.

I love this place. My go to is the crispy pork (you can adjust the spice level and it comes with vegetables, and rice) with egg rolls and a Thai tea.

This *IS* some of the best Thai and Laotian food that you’ll find in SoCal.

The service is usually always friendly, and while the place isn’t the most desirable looking, the food is absolutely excellent. This is more of a take out spot than it is a dine-in, however they do have some high-stool seating and some outdoor patio seating, but nothing really that aesthetically nice to sit and eat at.

100% will always recommend this place to others.

This is THE spot in Long Beach! We are fortunate to live within walking distance of one of the city's best kept secrets. The food is unparalleled which has caused us to try more than half the menu. The service is top notch and when you're there, you're family. You're sleepin' if you haven't tried this place so you best wake up!

I am a big time foodie, have tried SO many Thai restaurants and by far Tasty Thai has my vote for the BEST Thai food in CA. The aromatic flavors, all of the different herbs and spices ARE incredibly flavorful and VERY authentic. And the staff are super friendly. I will definitely be coming back!

Great little spot tucked away on 10th. The food is delicious and plentiful. The pad thai is probably some of the best in Long Beach, the curries are incredible, and the egg rolls are larger that what you’d typically find around town! Really love this little spot, excellent food and service.

Opened my world up to Papaya salads, there is a Thai style and Laotian style. Thai is with shrimp Paste and lao is more fermented. Lao style with a carne burrito from Tams was flipping amazing! Sometime you need Tams with Som Tam.

Visiting from San Diego and happy to have found this place for my husband’s birthday. Big portions, very flavorful, not greasy or salty. Loved the Drunken Noodles with all the vegetables (I’m a vegetarian) and the rest of the family loved the Panang Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice and Pad Thai. The gentleman at the register (owner?) was incredibly friendly and we had a lovely philosophical conversation while waiting for our order. Wishing this business many years of success.

Great little place! ORDER “NO SPICE” if you tend to order mild at other places. I think I’m pretty spice tolerant but ordering “mild” on some dishes renders them occasionally inedible. I wouldn’t DARE ordering medium and I would be honored to shake the hand of someone who orders “hot.” “No spice” still has plenty of spice and flavor!

I've moved away from long beach 2xs to lynwood and to hunntington beach and anytime I'm looking for thai I drive straight to them. I love them. My favorite dishes are the combo fried rice and their egg rolls are theeeee best . I legit buy 6 minimum . Also their mint leaf chicken is delicious ! Honestly everything is good . Small menu great customer service and they are consistent. Yu can see right into the kitchen they really are a family food place and they are dedicated to their customers . Love love love 5 stars !

This place gives you good portions of food for pretty cheap. I would suggest you order online and pick it up cause they take time to prepare. This is some of the best pad thai I've had. I try this dish all over when traveling and am frequently disappointed, but not this time. This is delicious, richly flavored, generous portion, and a beautiful presentation even in a to go box. They convinced me to try larb for the first time too. It's a funky dish for sure, but I am so glad I tried it! Make sure to get a little of everything in the bite and it works well, very tasty.

Great customer service awesome cheap South East Asian food. Took a minute to be ready but well worth my wait my guess was I just came in at peak lunch hour. Hard to find cheaper Thai iced teas outside of BKK and the interior of the place smelt like the Lord, even through my face mask. I was suggested and now can recommend their Tom Yum. Get it spicy, it will not disappoint.

Great food, great prices. This place is like little gem I feel most don't know about. If the owner is around, he'll sometimes offer you something while you wait and chat you up.

The prices are super fair, the taste is outstanding (some the best pad thai I have had), if you are a spice freak like myself the extra spicy is good, but I could go hotter. Give you a perspective I put ghost pepper, scorpion peppers, and birds eye chilis in just about most of what I eat. This made my mouth tingle, but not sweating. Will come back again 100%. The customer service is great and put love into their food and business.

Home style Asian food. Feels familiar to me. Reminds me of home. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food. Must be patient since wait time may be long depending on time of day. Can order ahead by calling in.
