Beware of wrong dishes! I am disappointed. I was given the wrong dish. I ordered a Salmon Pangang Curry (which is additional charge) and got shrimp. By the time I got back home, it was too late to call the restaurant as they have closed. I ended up overpaying for a dish that’s incorrect.
Best pad thai noodles ever! I substituted the chicken for tofu and it was really delicious!! I asked for spice level 4 and it was perfect, not too spicy :) It was really flavorful and the portions are large enough for 2-3 people. The mango sticky rice also was super tasty and shareable size, it was ripe and sweet. The milk thai tea was good too, however the thai milk tea was too sweet and had too much syrup in it. I would get it again but with very little sweetener. Overall I would come again. :)
I ordered Chicken Pad Thai to go for $12. As I was driving home from church, I saw “Thai” food. I decided to give it a try as I love trying out local restaurants :)
I was happily satisfied and quite pleased. There were a lot of noodles, they were cooked evenly and had enough sauce, and the chicken was not dry.
The only bummer was the lack of fresh greens (onions) etc. but I do understand I ordered about 15 minutes before closing so maybe they were out? I added some lime juice when I got home, but overall pretty good!!
I've been here once before years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food with my family.
My sister said let's do it! And so we did.
The Pad Thai with salmon was a bomb, the crispy spring rolls were delish! With my sweet tooth I enjoyed 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice! Sooo yummy!! My mom enjoyed her Egg Drop Soup which comes with small veggies!!
(We dug into the food first forgetting to take pics antil we were already chowing down!)
Recently ordered two Fried Rice for delivery, one of them was supposed to be Shrimp, I paid and extra $1.50 but received Chicken, the shrimp was set at a level two spicy, and the chicken was a 7 there was no difference in spice and tasted unseasoned all around. Unfortunately while eating the meal I noticed a small hair in the food as well.
This a little hole in the wall restaurant that can be over looked. I heard good things and wanted to try for myself. The food was absolutely delicious every single item. What amazed me was the food stayed hot the whole time we ate. I didn’t like that they pack all their food as if to go. It would of been nice to have ate out if dishes and the portions of the entrees were a bit small- again packed in to go containers. But the food and service was really good which reason for the 5 stars.
These homies never miss. Their drunken noodles are the bomb!! Service is always great and the food is slammin, do something good for yourself and go get you some drunken noodles and mango sticky rice 🔥🔥

Delicious! Had the Mongolian Beef, Lamb with ground chicken and Pad Kra Prao with pork. Forgot to take any pics it was too good. Will come back and try more items.

Under new management. Not the same . Prior owners and food was great!! Not busy. Service was slow.Ordered the cashew chicken and the pineapple rice. Both dishes lacking the main ingredients. My cashew chicken lacked chicken and worst of all no cashews. Asked about this and a very small (thimble) was brought out. They were stale! Not sure if the cooks know how to cook their own menu items. The same can be said about the pineapple rice dish. No flavor - but alot of rice. If you pay by debit or credit card look for extra charge upto a dollar an item. Maybe sometime before we visit again.
Really good Thai, music was dope as well!
The food came out quickly, it tasted so Good! Best Thai food in the area no doubt.
Good price too.
It has a clean appearance with modern design.
The food here was amazing!!!! We got pad Thai, Pad see-ew, and yellow curry and all three were amazing. I definitely recommend this location. They only serve take out trays so be aware of that. I give it a 10 out of 5!!!
There was maggots in the rice , I saw the lady pick her nose and she dint even bother washing her hands she just rolled her eyes at me when she saw me catching her. I told the worker lady and showed her my food, she got my food threw it in the garbage and told me n my kids to leave . And on top of that the worker also recorded a homeless lady randomly yelling and cussing at families walking by but never called the cops nor did she ever say a word to the homeless lady. I'm not coming back Ever!! I hope nobody experiences what I did. Just oddly to many things going on.
Honestly I’m flabbergasted lol. I was doing laundry next door and thought to grab a quick bite to eat. I had the mango curry with chicken, and it was AMAZING! Caught me off guard. 100% my hubby and I’s new spot.
Absolutely horrible experience trying to get food for pickup here today. My fiance ordered a pad thai chicken, spicy number 4. I ordered pad thai chicken, spicy number 7. When we got home, both orders of pad thai were overcooked, and both tasted the same in terms of spice ⁹level - honestly what I would call an 8 or 9. I can tolerate the noodles being dried out from being overcooked, and we didn't even complain about that - just the fact that my fiance's meal was too spicy for her to eat, that was the problem I called back about. The guy at the counter and on the phone, I feel bad for him because he's nice enough and provided good service in terms of ordering and whatnot. When I told him the food was too spicy for my fiancé to eat, he told me they'd make it right and to come back in 15 minutes. But then a minute later, he called back, saying his boss had a problem with this - I think she was the one cooking the food probably. They tried to gaslight me about the spicy scale... I pushed back, because a 4 and a 7 should not taste identical. I can tell they just cooked it all at once and tried to pass it off as different spice levels. Obviously they just didn't want to replace it and make it right. But they gave in and I came back. The ladies cooking in the kitchen were leering at me from the service window... very uncomfortable. They hadn't asked me to bring the old noodles with me, but I did, and they wanted them back... I guess just to throw away? Honestly it seemed like a possible silver lining that I could have had an extra order that was okay for ME, but not OK for my fiance. But no, they want me to drive twice as much in order to get what my fiancé originally asked for... meanwhile my food is just getting cold. And it's overcooked already so microwaving it or pancooking it to reheat will just dry it out more than it already is..
Plus their peanut sauce cup is ridiculously small for the spring rolls. To put it simply, this place sucks now compared to when I used to eat here years back. I will literally never make the mistake of ordering from here again. Plenty of good Thai places around San Diego.
Delicious Thai food! I love their drunken noodles and pad Thai!
Nothing fancy, just real good Thai food
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Good food, flavored is on point. Staff is friendly and best prices I've found. I've eaten here at least 6 times. Never disappointed
If you like spice go here i am giving it 3 starts because i said mild to no spice and in my opinion it was still hella spicy. 🥵 also theres a laundromat and homeless around the area
Okay Thai food but the only Thai restaurant in the area. Small portions. Watery curry. Dry drunken noodles. It’s not horrible but it’s not the best.
First time at this location. I ordered drunken noodles with extra garlic and cream cheese wantons.
Didn't receive any napkins.
Extra garlic Nor sweet and sourselves that I asked for II did reach out to the company. I share with the cashier over the phone she needs to do better when it comes to customer service.
I ordered the pad Thai noodles, green curry, massaman curry, and veggie egg rolls for a little under $50. I drove 20 minutes to the restaurant and when I got home realized they missed my white rice. The flavor was ok, but the curry seemed extra watery and barely had any chicken. The Massaman curry was mostly potatoes. The pad Thai noodles tasted burnt and greasy. The eggs rolls had an odd flavor like burnt cabbage. Will not be going again.
First off, I just want to say that the staff was very nice and that alone made me more hopeful for the food. I ordered the chow mein, orange chicken, and the drunken noodles, and wow all of them were delicious. The chow mein was absolutely packed with flavor and if it's too much for you, you can mix it with rice and the flavors will spread all throughout the rice. The drunken noodles were perfectly cooked and once again the flavors were on point making you want more. Finally, the orange chicken was my favorite. The sauce was perfect and the vegetables were coated in the orange sauce making me finish my vegetables (crazy for me). Overall, I definitely need to come back to try the other dishes on the menu and it seems to be sooner than later. If you're looking for some good reasonably priced thai food this will become your go to spot in lemon grove.
This place has great pad thai! I love it!
Very good Yellow Curry, but please, add more green vegetables to the mix. It already comes with rice so a little less potato and a bit more green veggies like snap peas, green beans, or Broccoli would be nice. This criticism is constructive and I will be back.
Honestly I paid almost 40 dollars and got at most between two entrees right pieces of meat in my curry small pieces too.
I got it to go through grub hub and the prices are pretty good and the green curry was excellent 👌🏼
The food was outstanding. The service was outstanding. I will go back again.
제 입맛에 짰지만 그래도 맛있었습니다
Great Thai food, love the beef pad see ew! Great customer service from the gentlemen up front/answering the phones.
A guy was sizing me up outside, but that is my fault for it being late and dark. Food is amazing tho.
3/10 spice level is the same as a 7 at other restaurants???? Ordered three dishes at the same level and we were unable to consume any of it. $55 down the drain
I've been coming to this place for the past 2 years and normally order Pad Thai chicken. This time I ordered Drunken noodles with heat level at 2. I was unable to consume as it was much more spicier than a 2. I took the noodles back only to have the owner lady argue with me saying I ordered a 7...I don't like spicy food and would never order a 7. So after being disrespectful to me, I agree to have another dish made. My order come out and I check it before leaving...there are barely any noodles in the drunken noodles...I turn around and point this out and the owner tells me"what do you expect for $10?" I then ask for my money back. I was cool calm and collected yet she calls me a derogatory name as I'm leaving. Never getting mine and my families business ever again....Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
I used to love this place. I went the other night get get me some spicy Thai food I was craving. I got drunken noodles and the only spice in the dish was BLACK PEPPER! I have never had Thai food where the spice is black pepper. The dish was so nasty that I had to throw it away. I used to eat here once a month but recently things have changed and don’t think I will be back.
Don’t come here.
Unreliable and the kitchen is filthy in the back and definitely not sanitary!
The girl in the front has no idea what she is doing either
Food was delicious.
Everything is excellent....you just need to make red pumpkin soup and put it on the menu
Quality has been much better
Got some takeout from this place and the level 6 spice here was about what you'd expect to be a 9 or 10 at another restaurant. Had to throw the dish away because I couldn't eat the dish.
Got a Thai Basil to share with my partner. Spicy level 7. It was perfect. Would definitely make it a daily spot but I live too far away
My girlfriend was feeling fine until she ate their food yesterday afternoon, but then soon thereafter, got very sick. We'll just leave it at that. I didn't eat anything because I don't like Thai food, but man oh man, she got really sick. She certainly won't be going back there again, and I already filed a report with the health department.
This is a hidden gem of lemon grove which does not have great options for food. Great prices for Thai food! And honestly one of the better Thai places in all of San Diego.
I’ve been searching for the best Thai for drunken noodles and this place did it best, the chicken was tender (not overdone) and seasoned just right and had a good mix of veggies. It was a good portion and price. I recommend you try it if you never have had drunken noodles, I think its better than Pad Thai chicken.
Deliciously flavorful, helpful and friendly service. This place is a hidden gem. I found it through a Google search and am so glad I did! Everything is so fresh and affordable! I'm moving into the area, and this will be my favorite "go to" Thai restaurant hands down!
Very friendly cashier & the Sweet n Sour Pork was delicious.
I heard about this place and I've been here twice. Loved everything we've ordered. This is definitely a hole in the wall to visit. We will be back!
Terrible! The cashew chicken was 90% breading. The vegetables were rubbery and the cashew sauce was unsavory. First and last time. 😖
Excellent service very friendly
If they tried It be different. But they don't honestly.
We couldn't help but over-order; everything looked so good. And it was!
We ordered the pork potstickers, crab puffs, beef skewers meal, yellow curry, red curry, and pad thai. The appetizers were so flavourful they didn't even need their sauces, but those were excellent, too. Everything was above par. We'll definitely come here again.
💯%🥊🎯🔥
Love the variety and the flavors!! We go here at least 2-3 times a month!!!
Meh. I mean it was alright... I was just expecting more since I payed $11. It was a kabob meal and it came with 2 scoops of rice and 4 very thin kabobs(as seen in the photo). The flavor was like nothing crazy, it was just like decent. But if I had to pay for the meal, I wouldnt pay more than 7.50. This just wasnt worth the price in my opinion. Note: this is the only time I have been here, and I only tried this dish! I'm probbaly missing out on other dishes available there.
I picked up the vegetarian Penang Curry, Pad See Ew, and egg rolls, basically all tofu. The veggies were cut way too large. The portions were a little bit on the small side. The egg roll sweet and sour was not good. Thought we'd try something closer but will never go there again. If you want good Thai food go to Thai taste 11 Bonita.
So glad I stopped in because I got a new updayed menu. The meals were delicious.
Try the coconut soup :)
Ordered the eggplant Dish very yummy! Staff friendly also, place looked clean! :)
Love their panang curry I get it with seafood. I go here because I love places that put eggplant in it. Also, Karen is an amazing. Customer service A+. Thank you:-)
I eat thai food frequently and can honestly say Lemon Grove Thai is one of my favorites in San Diego if not my favorite. The portions are generous and the quality is always top! Keep it up!
The food was tasteless and spring roll were stinky and couldn’t eat anything if I could give zero stars then also it is not worth. Very disappointed never coming back. Its waste of money.
Not sure if quality of food was due to near closing time but wings were so dry it was like jerky. Noodles had a burnt taste.
It is generally good.. The orange chicken let me down.
Me encantaron todo sabor cantidad y presios sobre todo el presio
Great service, prices and most of the food except the chicken cashew nut, the chicken was breaded like in Orange chicken. Recommend fresh slices like other Thai places. Pad Thai and lemon soup great 👍
Best take oit Thai in San Diego. Always fresh!
Great food with flavor. Such a wonderful little bit of Thailand in my neighborhood
Super tasty fast food indisn curry was great
Amazing food! Love the yellow curry and shrimp spring roll. Fast service too.
I like Thai Food especially drunken noodles that are a 10 spicy so, when I found out that Lemon Grove had this place open up I went and tired it with my mom and we liked it and the best part it’s close to where I live in LG. I felt the food was a reasonable price for two people and good portion sizes as well. I been here two times already and the people that work their are real nice and they have the menu up front so, you can just take one and look. The only thing I would say is I think they over power just a little on the curry chicken by putting a lot of onions and in my opinion just a little more chicken less onions, but other than that was a great place to eat at very tasty.
I've tried this place 3 times now, hoping that it would get better. My mistake. Not sure why there are so many good reviews. In my past experiences my food was mushy and didn't seem fresh. Today, everything I ordered was burnt. Too bad, I really wanted to like this place.
Great food, great service. A hidden gem for Lemon Grove.
Excellent service everytime. Delicious food.
Mango garlic dish and the drunken noodles are insane. The soups have amazing depth and flavor. Super cool family running the place.
Delicious
Asome people and great food love all of it
Excellent Thai food with customer friendly management. Try the panang curry!
Good vegan choices. Be aware that the food is spicier than most places. What I got here is a four I would call a seven or eight somewhere else
IMPORTANT TO KNOW - They always ask the level of spiciness you want from 1 to 10 and without asking anything I chose a 5. I like moderately spicy but not where I have to drink tons of water and rice or bread for the next 20min. I recommend starting with a 2 or 3. I asked them actually the second time has anyone tried a 10 and they said they have some people that have gone to an 8 I believe but never a 9 or 10. I couldn’t imagine what that would do to my stomach and my mouth. Just a little helpful advisement.
I just moved to the area again and found this place near my Airbnb and have gone 2 times in 3 days and love their food and service. I’ve tried their Yellow Curry, Pineapple Fried Rice, Beef Ka Prow (Not on Menu/was requested), Pork & Chicken Egg Rolls 😍(Only $5.50 for 4 Egg rolls), Beef Skewers and Mango Sticky Rice Desert. Obviously I eat too much Lol. Everything was amazing! The staff is super friendly and chill and it’s a clean environment where you can sit and chill while you eat or take to go. Food took only 10min-15min from time I ordered until I got the food.
I really only review businesses when they provide exceptional service/products/food/etc. or if a place is exceptionally poor in those areas. My reviews are always straight up and honest and as I am reviewing through my business account my reviews are important as I have hundreds of clients and people who depend on my advice as a Coach and I won’t risk my business name towards a business that I don’t believe in unless again it’s a poor/warning review.
Love this place!! Diamond in the rough
The place is out of this world, ask for johnny,he knows the entire menu, his recommendations are spot on !!!!!!
Good food and Average price
Ordered takeout medium spicy and it was inedibly spicy. Thankfully there are other Thai places in the city who aren't so heavy handed.
Delicious food at a reasonable
Good and local
Went to this Thai restaurant because it had high reviews on Yelp. Had egg drop soup. It was so good! Just the perfect blend of spices and veggies.
My lunch party ordered the mango sticky rice with coconut dip as a dessert. How in the world do they make that stuff?! It was delicious!
While the food is tasty here, there is much room for improvement. The spring rolls were full of crunchy veggies and a few pieces of shrimp, but the accompanying peanut sauce was too thick and lacking in flavor. Mixing it with seasoned rice vinegar and chili sauce helped to spice it up though.
The hot basil stir fry with chicken presented problems. When it was delivered to the table it did not contain any green beans and when this was pointed out to the staff, the nice lady seemed confused so I had to show her where they are listed in the ingredients on the menu and explain they are typically found in the dish. She then spoke to the cook/chef who advised hot basil stir fry doesn't contain green beans! They graciously made another batch correctly for me to take home and enjoy later.
The place caters more to takeout and serves everything in to-go containers, even if ordered to consume on the premises. Additionally they don't offer any lunch specials with accompanying egg roll, salad and soup which are commonly found in other Thai establishments.
Glad I tried it but will go elsewhere next time I have a craving for Thai food.
Love it
everything is good; I wish the pad thai was better but it is such a great addition to the neighborhood. The yellow curry is amazing as well as the tom kha soup.
Very fresh and delicious
Pad see ew with beef is flames son! I'm Lao so the spice here is WELCOMED! I LOVE SPICY!! 🥰😍😍
Good food, good prices, friendly staff. Great to have them in the neighborhood!
Took the food for take-out. Got to work and opened it. First, they gave me the wrong order. 2nd, when I ordered the food - i asked for ZERO spice (They put lots of spice). 3rd, when I asked them (on the phone) "What can you do to fix this order because this is NOT what I ordered or paid for...." The lady said, "either eat it ,or bring it back tomorrow when you have time. You're wasting my time!" - and she hung up. No apologies, and no care in the world to take responsibility. I hope she gets crabs.
If you like Thai food you should definitely try this place. If you don't then you should think about trying here too anyways. The menu has enough variety so there is something for everyone at reasonable prices. The place itself has a spacious, clean, and air conditioned eating area.
The food is really good and they even remember your name. If you call in your order you will beat out the wait!
First time here. Had chicken yellow curry. It was very delicious. Also ordered the mango sticky rice which was wonderful as well. Highly recommend.
Good thai
Good food
Delicious! Had a veggie soup and it delivered. Apparently this place has only been here for 5 months which means I found out about it 5 month too late. Will be back for more.
Malo y caro
Thai.....what more can I say🙄🤫🍜
A hidden gem
Ate lemon grove thai food 5 times before i even walked into the building, its so delicious... when i finally did go to the restaurant, it was just as good of an experience as the food! Clean comfortable place, fast and friendly service. Recommended to all!
Love the service and the food
Cute new place. You definitely tell that they worked to make it inviting. The food is great. I love the yellow curry. Their Pad Thai is fantastic. One of my go-tos. Especially in an area that doesn't have a lot of diversity in cuisine
I love the yellow curry! Great food, the owners are super nice. Very vegan friendly, which is hard to come by in this neighborhood. We eat here frequently because of this :) So happy that they opened up in the neighborhood!!
I got the Yellow Curry, sooooooo good. They give the food in takeout containers which is super awesome if you have social anxiety and don’t like asking for things. They have a lil hand sanitizer thingy by the door and they got extra utensils by the register. You can also ask for paper plates in case you want to share your food. The mango rice dessert you have to put together yourself but its yummy. Overall super good, definitely going to come back.
NOT AN AUTHENTIC THAI RESTAURANT...THEY JUST SWITCHED OVER FROM CHINESE TO THAI
RUDE GUY WHEN ASKED A QUESTION REGARDING THAI RICE ..WHICH THEY DON'T SERVE.. but to eaches own.
Noodles were glued together and there were several clumps of spice in them. Definitely not fresh food, felt like frozen and microwaved. Soup had way too much cream. Looked like thai food, but didn't taste like it.
I went to Lemon Grove Thai Food last night to get take out. It was our first time to try their food. I had read such great reviews, and my husband and I were excited to try it. It is in a small strip center where the Jack-in-the-Box is, and parking was not an issue. My first impression on walking into the restaurant was that it is attractive and appealing with its bright white tiles with yellow accents and gray walls and well lit. There was a group of 6 enjoying dinner, as well as several people waiting for takeout. The owner greeted me with a smile and asked if he could explain anything. He seemed to be training the employee at the counter, who was also very nice. We do not eat Thai food frequently, so photos of the food on the counter were helpful. I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice (not spicy), Drunken Noodles (I said a little spice was ok), Potstickers and Sticky Mango Rice for dessert. While waiting I asked about their Thai iced tea and coffee. The owner said that the Thai tea is imported from Thailand and they brew it here and he asked if I'd like to try it. I was surprised by its orange color, but I really liked the spices in it. I did not order one, though, due to it having caffeine (I will go back earlier in the day to try it when its safe for me to have caffeine). My husband and I enjoyed the food very much. It was freshly made and the vegetables were al dente, which is a huge plus. (Overcooked vegetables is a big pet peeve of ours when eating Asian food at other local Chinese restaurants.) We liked the spices in each dish. We did think, however, that the Drunken Noodles were too spicy for us, so I am not sure how to order it next time. On a number from 1 to 10, I should have specified a "1", and all I told him was "a little spicy", so I was vague on that, I guess. We loved the big, fat noodles in this dish. And the Pineapple fried rice had big whole shrimp and chicken in it and was just delicious! I did think the potstickers were a bit overcooked and were quite small in size, but we both really liked the flavor and the accompanied sauce. We were too full to try the dessert, so I will save it for later and review it separately. So, overall, this is a GREAT restaurant with friendly and attentive staff, and we will definitely go here again. I am excited to get to try different items on the menu. I will add that we think it is a little pricey (our dinner , especially for not being a sit down and order type of restaurant) cost over $30 for the items I described above, which is more than we like to spend for takeout suppers. But it was so delicious, we will go back. I think that my husband and I could get by with just one entree to share. Having the two entrees and the potstickers was a lot of food! But we do get to have it for dinner again tonight!
Yummy, healthy, fresh Thai food. Great prices. Very friendly. We will be back!
On the NextDoor app, someone posted that there was a new Thai restaurant on Broadway in Lemon Grove (aptly named, Lemon Grove Thai Food) and we decided to try it out. TL;DR: We'll be back! We placed a phone order, which I picked up on the way home from work; they had it piping hot and ready when I got there, and they accept credit cards, which is a plus. We try to eat lower-carb when we can, and they allowed us to sub steamed veggies for the rice (but then they threw in some rice, too: extra points!) without any upcharge. The prices were super affordable: $30 including tax for 3 entrees, and the food was flavorsome and good. We had the green curry, thai basil stir-fry, and kung pao beef, all at a level 3 spiciness which was a perfect spice level. The portions were spot-on, although I do wish they would have a menu published on their website; I had to venture into the dark web (Yelp) to find a photo of their menu so we could order by phone.
I ordered Pai Thai and Curry chicken, spicy, and both were delicious. I will return to try other items.
Great Thai food located in Lemon Grove. Made to order so food tastes fresh.
Everything about this experience was great, from the ease of the phone order to the taste of the entree. Very excited to finally have a great Thai food restaurant in Lemon Grove.
Dammmnnn, I went here when it soft opened and their was this goofy looking guy, he said he was the owners son. I thought he looked like Steve Urkel and Screech all in one, double the nerdiness. Anway, he recommended I get the curry. It tasted very authentic like I was in Southeast Asia doing my sexpat adventures sleeping with thousands of women. Now I want to go back because the food is giving me nostalgia.
