Would you think with a name like Le Moose Crepe Cafe that they can serve some of the best Thai cuisine in Fremont? Yes they can. Their pineapple rice is the best in town. Tender rice cooked to perfection with your choice of meat. Full of pineapples, meat, onions and nuts. Yummy! We also had their special, explosive eggplant. Shaped in a way that it was bursting with a meat of your choice, baby corn, carrots and onions out of the split eggplant. Everything again cooked to perfection. Our dessert was a sticky ube with mango crepe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The dessert emulated a sushi roll. Visually appealing and was very tasty but filling.
Service was first rate and server was very friendly. The decor has lots of flowers and is family friendly. Plenty of parking. Dinner reservations suggested for Friday nights. Can be crowded so come early. Overall a hidden gem that is highly recommended.
The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. We ordered the drunken noodles, papaya salad, fried rice, savory crepe, and garlic noodles. While it wasn’t the best Thai food I’ve had, we enjoyed everything. I also liked the pairing of crepes with Thai dishes, which added a fun twist to the meal.
Conclusion:
- a bit expensive
- can try if not a long distance drive.
Pakeemao: good but a bit salty. not much noodle but has lots of vegetables and meat.
Soft shell crab garlic noodle: okay. the garlic noodle is average. Crab is crunchy but not much flavor.
Crepe: Okay. Butter inside with powder sugar on top. Some cream and one scoop of ice cream. a bit sweet and not really anything special.
Went on a weekday for lunch with wifey, super quick service and everything tasted good and fresh. We asked for a little more green sauce for the rice for which they charged $3 which was a bit excessive but whatever the quality was good.
Ordered
Chicken Satay - didn't look too appetizing but taste was okay.
Spring Rolls - Nice and crispy
Green Curry Fried Rice with chicken - Very tasty, could use a little more sauce though.
Pad Kee Mao - Very Delicious!!
We came for the lunch and arrived before the kitchen closed at 3pm.
We 4 people got the deluxe set, fried rice, crepe and fried ice cream.
The deluxe set comes with Pat thai, mango salad, signature fried fish and pork.
The fish is very crispy on the outside. The pork is well marinated and tender. Mango salad is pretty flavorful, and we believe that it’s fresh mango rather than canned mango.
The fried rice is very sticky, the kind that I like a lot. The crepe has a strong pesto flavor, which I also like.
The fried ice cream is ok, the fried dough outside is very chewy. I hope it could be crispy.
The food is absolutely amazing! Great authentic Thai flavors! If I lived here I would be ordering from here so often! Highly recommend

One of the best basil fried rice I have had in the bay area. Their papaya salad is another item I would definitely recommend.

Great weekday lunch special
It was great experience with amazing Thai food along with yummy crepes and best service ever. Lots of vegetarian options.
Fast service, good food. Been more than once and we all like it. Cut a star in atmosphere as it's bit small and crowded, but other things make up for it.
I’ve never in my life had a mango sticky rice SO amazing. I literally said wow with every bite I took.
Good options and food was tasty.

I had a tasty crepe withvsmoked salmon. I found it a good place to eat and run.
There was a table with 4 women who were sharing desserts, and they looked like they were having a blast!

This place is SO good!! Portions are very reasonable. Takeout of three dishes - pad thai, massaman curry, and basil eggplant pork, was ready in 15 minutes for a reasonable price. Service was very friendly upon pickup. Highly recommend this place !!

Like their creative idea but the food here is just a mess up of favor, they don’t know the mix and match of the basic ingredients and just want to make them lookes like creative. The crepe tastes funny…. And there are so much better crepe place in Bay Area then here. Fremont has not much good brunch place but doesn’t make this place impressive.
The mango paradise is the best crepe I 've ever had!
However, other than that, nothing else is tasty. The drinks are super sweet.
Honestly one of the worst experience here,And the lady at the reception was so rude and aggressive 😑I was not expecting this
Delicious food with generous portions. Dishes can be made spicy or mild. All the food arrived very hot and fresh. I would place it in "comfort food" category.
I was expecting Curry puffs to be like the Indian veggie puffs, but they are different. They do not have a flakey pastry puff, but look like mini gujhiya with potato masala inside. Tasted good and quite filling.
Service is good, mostly prompt and polite.
I took one star off because food came out of order. One person received their entree, then one appetizer was served, then another entree arrived and then another appetizer arrived after a few minutes wait.
Other than that, we really liked the food and the service, and we'll definitely visit again.
Visited Le Moose Crepe Cafe and had an impressive experience despite the full house! The bustling atmosphere added to the charm, and even with the crowd, all the food came out in a reasonable time.
The crepes were absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. We tried both savory and sweet options, and each one was a delight. The freshness of the ingredients and the skillful preparation were evident in every bite.
The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. It’s clear that they take pride in both their food and service.
Overall, Le Moose Crepe Cafe is a gem! Highly recommend visiting for a memorable meal, whether you’re in the mood for a hearty savory crepe or a sweet treat. Can’t wait to come back and try more from their menu!
Great food, quiet place excellent hosts
Food has improved so much in flavor
Wasn’t that hungry but wanted to try something new on a Friday night. Saw the reviews and ordered drunken noodles medium spicy. It was perfect.
Good flavor, beef done right . I finished it one go. Will order again and try some other items too
Good food, good service.
Have serious stomach aches after eating here.
Place is one of the best Thai food restaurants in the Bay Area. I eat there every week and enjoy the service and the food is exceptional
Family run consistently good food and delicious savory and dessert crepes. A must try for people who live in Fremont
Nice, hidden gem in strip mall off Mowry. Staff is friendly. Food was good. A solid 3.5 - 4 on all dishes. Nice size portion. Really enjoyed their appetizer sampler. (Try only if you like fried foods though.)
Too much sauce but crepe is ok
Good food, quick service
It's filled with the smell of cooking oil as soon as you walk into the restaurant... The tables are also not cleaned properly, the hygiene conditions are worrying, and there are bugs in the salad...
I've been here many times mostly for take out. I dined in a bit before 1 pm on Sunday and it's quite populated. We were seated at one of the remaining tables and got our food pretty quick after ordering.
I love getting the pad kee mao here. Their spicy lamb chef special is really yummy too! I was not a fan of the Thai wings. The sauce is fine but it's not deep fried as stated on the menu. The soft shell crab with garlic noodles is fine but doesn't seem like it goes together. The crab tastes good and the noodles are okay. In my opinion, the crab meat fried noodles on the menu is a better item to order.
There's so much on the menu that I haven't tried so I look forward to trying more.
Had lunch here w/my GF the other day. Came here on a friend's recommendation. We each had the chicken pad-thai lunch special [hers w/no heat/spice, mine with heat/spice]. She had a soft drink/can and I had the plain iced tea [one glass, NO free refills, for 3-bucks]. The food came out quickly and was tasty but we did not get the salads that were supposed to come with the lunch special meal [at least, that was what was on their menu]. The serving was just OK and a bit underwhelming, for 16-bucks per meal. This is one of the most expensive Thai lunch places I have eaten at lately and I was not that impressed [hence, the four-star review]. You can do much better [quality AND quantity] at more reasonably priced Thai places in Fremont and/or anywhere else, for that matter. Service was good but we were the only ones eating in, at the time. Probably, won't return.
The food is great and the variety is great. Has the typical quirks of any small business restaurant. Crepes and Thai gives a lot of choices even for the less adventurous people in a dinner party, but sharing is caring!
Tried the deep fried soft shell crab w/garlic noodles, salmon red curry, curry puffs, and duck rolls. They were all really good! They give you two crabs that are crunchy and juicy on the inside. The duck rolls were super crispy and the curry puffs were sweet. The salmon was a bit overcooked but the curry sauce had a spicy kick and flavor. The ladies were nice and the little details, like the patterned plates and decorations , made the place charming! Definitely coming back!
The food and the staff are always great here. I have been eating here for more than 3 years and they have served great food with great service. The owners are very nice providing a friendly atmosphere. I would recommend eating here.
Amazing food great service. Best Thai food ever.I recommend the Tomyum noodle soup and the strawberry banana Nutella crepe
Very very good food that is worth the price. I love the Pad kee mao with chicken.
Been here a few times, had good experience in every visit. The food quality and taste are very consistent.
Mango salad is one of my favourites. I like iy spicy. Satay as well the peanut sauce definitely praiseworthy. Garlic fish was crispy but I have had better garlic fish at other thai restaurants. Tom yam soup was good but little too sour.
The place serves many types of deserts including crepes. I tried sticky rice with mango, it was good.
I recommend this place for thai food lovers.
Cute little Thai fare in Fremont. It was a fast moving place with limited seating but was able to walk in on a Friday evening with no reservation and got seated almost immediately. Thai ice tea was very refreshing beverage to kickstart the meal. Ordered the spring rolls and roti with peanut sauce for appetizers. The spring mediocre and the Thai roti was a bit chewy, however the peanut sauce tasted really authentic. For entrees, ordered the Thai basil fried rice, pineapple fried rice with seafood and the wok egg plant. The pineapple fried rice had a nice spicy aftertaste and the eggplant was well roasted and the sauce was really good.
For desserts, the mango special crep with sticky rice and coconut was okayish and not very sweet. Overall a 3.8/5 for food, ambiance 4/5 and service 5/5
The waitresses were very cheerful and celebrated couple of birthdays while my group was dining.
The curry 🍛 puff balls are amazing, full of flavor and perfect. The crab noodles are super good as well.
Terrific curry and sweet and ample crepe. Odd that they'd serve a sweet crepe and a scoop of ice cream before our entrées, but the mango, banana and carmel crepe was delicious. The curries were accompanied by scoops of heart shaped rice.
Okay interior, but seemed strange to have the door kept open during a cold evening. Good service and a number of tables with small groups of friends. Good overall.
I'd probably recommend this place if you're looking for quantity over quantity. I got the Baby Corn w/ Tofu to go.
Let me tell you, the shear weight was impressive, but I knew I would not even be close to eating it all. The vegetables were cooked perfectly in my opinion: soft but still crunchy. The Tofu was also firm and browned. However, it unfortunately tasted to me like any generic dish that you could get cheaper at the plethora of Chinese restaurants in the area for cheaper.
Perhaps the other dishes would be better.
I had take-out lunch. It was tad bit expensive for $16 and the pork was rubbery and overcooked. The service was quick and easy.
The curry, drunken noodles, and eggplant were to die for!! The food is absolutely delicious, very flavorful and high quality vegetables and meat. Best Thai food in the area for sure!!!
Love the fresh thai food
Used to love this place, good value and decent portions. Until one of my mango sticky rice desserts come with ants inside.
Food - this place has amazing food, the staff did customize the food as per our requirements and everything was done as per the sought requirements. Must try - their spring rolls and Shrimp dishes.
The staff is amazing and they offer prompt service. The place is located at Mowry avenue so it's not a big deal to locate it.
Ambience is fine, the best thing is how clean and neat the place is. Super kids friendly, their menu is something that can work for anyone.
Ample parking around - so no hassle of finding one. A must try Thai place in Fremont and East Bay.
Best Thai food I had in Fremont
I have to agree with another review about the lack of ventilation. It's so smoky inside that my eyes were burning and my clothes smell. I didn't really enjoy my meal because I was in such a hurry to finish and leave. The food was OK, not great. The prices are high.
Le Moose Cafe is a fantastic restaurant to visit if your family can't decide between crepes or Thai cuisine. While it sounds like a strange combo, the restaurant does a great job for both cuisines. The crepes are generous in size and I love the variety offered - they have standard crepes like chicken pesto and florentine, but also have more unique crepes such as Thai Green Curry crepes, Greek Crepes with grilled eggplant, and a "Beef on Fire" crepe that has grilled beef with Sriracha. There's also a good variety of dessert crepes that are sweet but not cloyingly so. The Thai food here is also really good and includes an impressive variety of appetizers (fried snacks, satay, and curry puffs!), curries, salads, soups, and fried rice. The only complaint I have about the restaurant is that the ventilation isn't great inside and the smell of the food cooking and the gas can be a bit overwhelming at times. The food and service is really good though and our family will likely continue visiting to get our crepe and Thai food fix here.
Absolutely wonderful!! Went here on a limb and were amazingly suprised!!! I cant recommended them enough!!!! ❤
Great customer service and fast food delivery on table. Very delicious thai food in fremont.
Amazing vegetarian options and I really liked the amazing (fake) meat veggie crepe and the panang curry fried rice. The portion sizes were also quite big, one crepe should be good for one person.
They were very busy for a Sunday night but we were able to get the last open table for Father’s Day Dinner. The service was prompt and friendly. Our glasses of water were constantly refilled which we were very thankful for.
The highlight of the meal was the peanut sauce served with the Roti. Unlike peanut sauces at other Thai restaurants which tend to be light and runny, this sauce was thick and tasty.
The rest of the dishes were hit and miss. The garlic noodles with crispy soft shelled crab was terrific. The pineapple fried rice and pad see ew were both good but fairly standard. We were disappointed with the salmon delight crepe and the garlic shrimp which were both had a little too much salt for everyone’s liking.
We would’ve liked to have had a dessert crepe but we were all pretty full at the end of dinner. Maybe next time!
Worst service. Rude behavior. Food was ok.
We went there after hearing all the positive reviews about their service and food . Unfortunately, my experience was exactly the opposite
My 19 month old was still finishing rice and I was waiting for him to finish up. My husband decided to wait outside. Seeing him go, this waiter came to get the table ready for other guests while we are still eating . He took the plate my kid was eating from and put it in the TRASH. My kid cried seeing that. When I complained the person wasn’t a single cent bothered for doing anything wrong. No apology!! In fact, he dared to complain that my kid create a mess on the bench as he couldn’t eat properly. Don’t forget this grown man was complaining about my 19 MONTH OLD KID. This was so unfortunate and rude behavior. May be he was having a bad day but he did spoil my evening. Never coming back here again!!
Delicious Thai food - I highly recommend the spicy lamb. Also: yummy crepes - tried the peach and mango crepe and loved it
Delicious
I drove a whole 30 minutes to get here and it was worth it. I shared a crepe with a friend and got the thai tea. I haven’t had good thai tea in a while and this *really* hit the spot. I’m rather stingy, and despite complaining at first, I think I totally would drive back out just for the tea. My only real complaint now is that I didn’t get more. The crepe was also delicious; I liked that it came with a side of yummie pasta :)
Excellent food 🥘
Ordered to-go of sweet and sour chicken, veggie pad thai, mixed veggies, and basil beef. Food portions are decent and was flavorful. Meat content was also good since some places skimp on meat. I would recommend to check them out or if you want to order to-go, they can take the order over the phone and have you pickup as early as 1130am when they open.
Decent food. I particularly liked the mango salad. The other items based on friend's reviews were either a hit or miss.
Service quick. Foods are better if less seasoning. It was a little salty. Our party: 4 adults and 1 toddler. They charged 20% service fee. Please consider before coming.
I am usually weary of places that serve more than one kind of cuisine, but Le Moose manages to serve both delicious Thai food and yummy crepes. They even have some fusion choices (check out the Thai curry crepe).
They offer crepe and Thai food, which is unusual, but they pulled off both fantasticly.
The crepe are soft and the ingredients are fresh & tasty. The Thai food are great as well. The pad Thai is a nice combo of sweet & sour flavour. Noodle soups, rice plates etc etc, I almost tried every item on the menu you can't go wrong with any.
Delicious vegan options.
It is cafe. Don't expect a restaurant. Food was decent not amazing. Service level is good if you walk in with a cafe expectations. Ambiance was bit clumsy to me. Based on the other reviews my expectations were high :(. Overall you will not be disappointed - they serve pretty decent food and the staff are friendly.
Food is good. Little is
price
Food was very Tasty
The food here is amazing and vegetarian-friendly, with generous portions. The dessert crepes section meant that even my kids are happy. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. My only negatives are that it took them awhile to take our order, so our appetizer came with the main dishes, and they could only make one dish at a time so our eating was staggered among the party. It's a small place, so I shouldn't have been surprised by it in hindsight. But other than that service was great.
Amazing crepes!!! Perfect amount of sweetness.
We also ordered a bunch of Thai and it was great food, huge portions.
Would recommend this 10/10
I would put more stars for the crepe and desserts, they were good.
But the food, we found not pleasant. Papaya salad was very salty. Tom yum was a bit too sour. Fried rice we found salty as well.
We are Thai so we are well aware how they would taste authenticly, and never put any bad reviews to any restaurants prior. So this is the first time as it was bad that we had to review here.
We let the waiter/waitress know about how bad the papaya salad was twice, but no action taken.
Best Thai food place in the area, and probably it is in the top 3 in the extended Bay Area! Yellow Curry, Pineapple fried rice, Pad Thai are excellent
Had the pineapple fried rice and panang curry, both with tofu. Excellent service, staff was friendly. Food was ok, reduced flavor, had very few tofu pieces. Could've been better. Will likely return to try their crepe and pasta menu.
Only Thai place that's actually spicy 🔥🔥🔥
Best Crepes ever!!! Food is amazing and staff very friendly … For sure a place to visit.
Soggy crepes. My crepe was totally cold. The waitress did not seem to care.
Also, very strong old grease smell which penetrated my clothes; even the clean shirt I put on after removing the one I wore in the restaurant got the same smell as my body had absorbed the old grease smell of the restaurant.
Love love love. Portions are huge and their drunken noodle is amazing. I also recommend the Garlic Fish - perfect pairing with some ice cold beer :)
My absolute favorite thai place in the Bay Area! The food tastes great, portions are HUGE (like seriously huge, the most I've seen in the area) and most of all, if you order through their website they are tons of promotions! I'd visit this place again everytime I'm in Fremont. Can't wait to be back!
First place and food looks delicious and fresh. Maybe one day I will try.
Food is good but customer service is very disappointing unfortunately.
Crepes are not very tasty. Lack of salt and spice.
Good soup tried veg Tom kha , really good on a cold day , the quantities are big , tried fried rice , they are decent
真的很好吃 大推軟殼蟹 我對甲殼類過敏 還是會點
Very good. At first I thought the combination of crepe and Thai was strange but don’t let that turn you away from this place!
I was initially attracted by the mixed identity of the restaurant. (Thai food + French crepes). Reading through the menu also gave me some Vietnamese vibes. We ended up getting the green papaya salad and the garlic fresh fish. I didn’t expect the heavy battering and thick goopy sauce. I contemplated ordering a dessert crepe but found the combinations a bit odd. The ambience is 2 stars (stacked unmatching melamine plates near the hot bar prep station; the need to request full set of cutlery - no standard butter knife provisioning).
Everything on the chef special menu was really good. We really enjoyed the food and desert crepe. The one thing that detracted from the experience was the table being sticky.
Last time I've been here had to be at least 5 years ago since I moved to SJ. My daughter wanted a crepe and I wanted Thai food and this place came to mind. I couldn't believe the size portion of the quality food that we received. Service was super friendly and kept checking up on us and refilling our water. Food came out in a timely manner and definitely coming back!
Quick service, variety of items on menu and some items are unique !
This is our go to place. The crepes are filling and tasty. Thai food is good as well.
My first time order food here it was the best Chicken fried Rice I ever had in the Bay Area and will definitely try it again thank you Le Moose 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Indoor decor is very pretty but we had to sit outside since the smell of fish inside was too much to take in.
Food was 'Okay' here. We ordered Greek(this was yum) and Veggie crepe(this was bad it had nothing but spinach and few pieces of avocado and no flavor), Pad thai, roti pratha(both were good), Tom Yom soup which I hated since it was very sour and salty.
I saw the fancy decor and wanted to try food there. Overall it was ok but I wouldn't go again.
I got a bowl of curry and it was great, but I definitely regret not getting the crepe. With that said it's obviously family owned and the staff were very friendly.
Great services. The food came out quick and it was hot too. Delicious flavors. Would recommend anyone. Only 4/5 stars because I kept having to keep Flys away from my food.
The food was really awesome. Also please order one dish per person since the portion size is big.
Food was fair- portions big (especially the rice), but the pad see ew was a bit sweeter than I’m used to. It had a healthy amount of broccoli, but the flavor was also somewhat overpowered by the broccoli.
Pineapple fried rice was good, but we weren’t fans of the raisins. Would have given 3 stars, but adding an extra star for very prompt service despite how busy it was.
Loved the Thai Food here, we got the Pineapple rice, chicken pad thai, basil fried rice and spring rolls and a few curries! Everything was amazing except the curries! We also got the crepes and they did not disappoint! :D
Great Food in addition of tremendous service
This used to be our one of the favorite restaurants when it comes to Thai food in Fremont. But today we had a very terrible incident. We are vegetarians and we ordered the Tom Kha soup and mentioned in the order that please do not mix any seafood or fish sauce in our food as my wife is allergic to seafood.
Despite of mentioning this, they failed to adhere to the instructions and put some seafood in the soup. It was by luck that we noticed it early and didn't cause serious health issues.
I called up the restaurant but they failed to understand the seriousness of this issue. All they cared about whether I want a replacement or not. My main goal was to make sure they understand the seriousness of this issue but they clearly don't care.
For those who are allergic to seafood or vegetarians, this just proves their kitchen is not properly separated and is contaminated.
Great little place with amazing food. Lots of vegetarian and Vegan options. Has a good collection of sweet and savory crepes and Thai food was great! (just according to the spice levels mentioned on the menu). Service was good and quick! Some of the items we tried and loved were the chicken satay, curry fried rice, brownie cheesecake crepe(worth a try!).
Will definitely recommend a visit!
Nice and cozy place. Been here many times. Food is usually good but sometimes I have seen inconsistency. Very good crepes if you want to find something within Fremont.
good
- Food quality is great
- Their spicy is REALLY spicy so be cautious while ordering
- Mango Sticky Rice is the BEST
Pleasant find with some delicious vegan drunken noodles!
We had the aforementioned drunken noodles as well as the green curry with tofu (it would be great if veganizable options were labeled!)- the latter was unfortunately extremely spicy, but still tasted pretty good.
Would definitely return!
I ordered Tom Kha soup and Drunken Noodles veg for the lunch. The food was ready in 10 mins which was quick. Loved the Tom Kha soup. It has become one of my favorite. The texture, the quantity and veggies, loved it all. The drunken noodles were good too. I should have ordered mild as a medium was little spicy for me. But the quantity was generous. Definitely ordering again!
First time getting takeout here and the food was great! Got a heaping portion of pad see ew. I walked to get groceries at the Lucky nearby and came back early to wait for the food. The wait time in the restaurant was maybe 15 min after getting groceries, and the girl that took my order gave me a Thai tea for free as an apology for waiting.Good food takes time! I'll be coming back for a crepe.
I would recommend to ask spicy level to every costumer, it was spicy for adults my kids were not able eat it.
