Siam Orchid brings the most authentic Thai food in Humboldt County since 2014.
The staff were very friendly and very attentive. The food came out fast, but would totally have been worth a wait if there was.
The pad Thai was some of the best I’ve ever had. Full of flavor and great texture. My girlfriend got some kind of seafood dish that was insane.
I doubt that I’ll ever be back, but I’ll be talking about the memories of the meal for a long time. If you’re in the area definitely give them a shot
My parents and I stayed in Eureka for a few days and noticed the good ratings at this place.
My dad had ordered the Tom Yum Pak and Beef Laab while I ordered the Crispy Pork Belly. My Dad wasn’t a fan of the Tom Yum Pak but I absolutely loved it. It’s definitely a lighter Tom Yum flavor but I could drink that soup on the daily. I’m loving the tomatoes in it.
The Beef Laab was good. No complaints from anyone.
The Crispy Pork Belly. Well.. for my parents to go back for more, says a lot. I’ve never had pork belly like that before. It was battered and deep fried. It’s so different but so good! I love the sauce and dipped everything in it. Sooo yum!!
I would definitely come back. The waitresses were friendly. The space is great. The food came out extremely fast! There’s parking including handicap parking, which we used for my mom. And that was the cleanest, best smelling, restaurant bathroom in Eureka.
We came here after visiting the redwood national park. The environment is family ish style, old but clean. The waiters were friendly and patiently answering our question. The food is delivered fast and it’s so cheap! We got half chicken for $17!!! The pineapple curry was so good! Not spicy at all! Thai tea is perfect! I will want to visit here again!
So delicious, always love coming here. Everything that we ordered was so good and had amazing flavor. The service was great too, they attended to us as soon as we walked in and came to the table right away to get our drinks. The food also came out pretty fast for it being a bit busy. Definitely recommend this place.
Pretty decent food, good portions for the price. I have lived in Humboldt for a few years but never made time to go here. Finally did go and was pleasantly surprised. The interior feels slightly dated/less tidy than I’d like (there was a bit of an ant issue at my table, but I just moved to another table). Food tasted very decent, better than I expected. Definitely will still return when I can.
A Cozy Corner of Thai Delights in Eureka - Siam Orchid Thai Cuisine
Review:
Nestled in the quaint streets of Eureka, CA, Siam Orchid Thai Cuisine at 427 V St. has been a staple in my travel itinerary for years. This simple yet charming Thai restaurant offers a heartwarming experience that goes beyond just dining.
Navigating through Eureka's downtown, with its myriad of one-way streets, can be a bit of a maze. But the journey to Siam Orchid is always worth the effort. The restaurant boasts ample parking at the rear, easing one of the potential hassles of dining in a bustling area.
The interior of Siam Orchid is spacious and inviting, with a serene ambiance that sets the stage for a delightful meal. It's worth noting that during peak hours, the place can get quite busy, testament to its popularity among both locals and visitors. A quick call ahead can save you from any unexpected waits, ensuring your visit is as smooth as the flavors you're about to savor.
On my latest visit, I opted for a comforting dish of ginger with mushrooms, veggies, and chicken, accompanied by a side of jasmine rice. Each bite was a blend of fresh ingredients and aromatic spices, perfectly embodying the essence of Thai cuisine. Paired with a cup of hot green tea, it was the ideal meal for a cool NorCal day, all for a reasonable price of around $22.
Siam Orchid Thai Cuisine is more than just a restaurant; it's a warm hug in the form of food. It's a place where the spices not only flavor the dishes but also warm the soul. If you ever find yourself meandering through Eureka, make a point to stop by Siam Orchid. It's a culinary gem that offers a taste of Thailand right in the heart of Northern California.

My favorite place to eat. Just wish they were open earlier on Sundays.
My husband and I stopped by here on a recommendation. We were not disappointed! We loved it! We were visiting from Texas on a babymoon. Excellent service, excellent food. If we ever get the chance to stop in again we will.
This is the only place in the area for this level of Thai food. Everything I’ve had there is amazing and I eat there at least once a month. Go hungry.
Really good. The food that I’ve gotten has always been tasty and fresh. The red curry is delicious and is the perfect amount of spiciness for me.
The staff were very friendly and very attentive. The food came out fast, but would totally have been worth a wait if there was.

One of my favorites place to eat lunch.

Really good Thai & Lao food! My favorites are the Larb, Padd Kee Mao & Padd ka Prow, & you can't forget the sticky rice 🤤
DELICIOUS!!!!!
Amazing Thai food, some of the best I've ever had!
Incredible food, new menu, great service.

The food was incredible. Probably my favorite meal in the 5 days I stayed in Eureka. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, but it’s not in the most beautiful area. Who cares though? The food was great and I am definitely coming back next time I am up north.
Stopped in yesterday with the mom on the way through on a road trip. Was excited to see things I've never seen in a standard thai menu.
Ordered a crispy rice salad which was rice deep fried till crispy cooked with ginger and cilantro and cashews and it was outstanding 10/10. Tried 2 desserts the fried banana with rice and sticky sweet rice with coconut cream and also 10/10. If I'm ever in the area again this will be my first stop.
Went with the rents, great time
High quality Thai food. Fast and friendly service
Just passing through town and was very pleased to find this place
Such a good idea to stop here on our road trip. Excellent all around.
One of the best restaurants in Eureka. Food is fresh and tasty and they have fabulous appetizers!
Love the pad Thai here!
They have take out only when low staffing
Decent food and friendly atmosphere
It used to be very good. It was one of my favorite restaurants. Recently going down hill. Hours aren't great. Food isn't great. Pricing seems up. Service is poor. No pineapple in my pineapple fried rice today! Specifically, you offered me a $5 credit for the future. Thank you for this response. That resolved nothing.
This is literally the best food in humboldt county and I mean this so sincerely. It's so good. I am moving away for college this summer and this restaurant specifically is the only thing I am going to miss.
Delicious food, artistic presentations, huge menu, all the Thai teas, including mango ~
All of us ordered something different and everything was delicious!
Good eats highly recommend
When we arrived there was a woman on her phone in the corner and speaking quite loudly. Her three kiddos even looked a little embarrassed and annoyed with the call. Both my husband and my daughter ordered soups. My daughter's wonton soup was a bit over-salted. Tasted like bullion. I couldn't taste my husband's seafood soup with coconut milk, on account that I'm allergic to scallops. But he said it was good. I had the fried pork belly with sticky rice. The pork could have been a little thicker and pork belly I thought usually has a bit more fat to it for the flavor. The sticky rice was almost too sticky. We almost flung a chunk of it across the table when pulling a fork full out of the bag in the basket. The water was served in metal Solo cups... Mine had a little surface rust from a knick on the bottom inside of the cup, and to me water always tastes metallic in those cups. All in all it wasn't a bad place, the food wasn't awful, just wasn't what was expected, and wasn't quite worth the price. They also don't have kids menus...
So delicious, always love coming here. Everything that we ordered was so good and had amazing flavor. The service was great too, they attended to us as soon as we walked in and came to the table right away to get our drinks. The food also came out pretty fast for it being a bit busy. Great food service needs a lot of work.

Fantastic food!
We are staying in an rv park very close and just happened to see this place late on a Monday. Good thing cause they are closed Tues for dinner. It was fabulous food and service. The server was so pleasant and efficient. We got the Rama as we are always looking for fabulous peanut sauce and this ranks right up there with the best we have had. There was not a hint of grease or oil. We asked for mixed vegetables instead of just broccoli and there was an up charge we were advised of and we did it anyway. We had jasmine rice which was tasty. My hub ate all of his and I took half Home so the portions were decent. We would go back again tomorrow except it is Tuesday and they will be closed. The parking lot is decent sized and easy in out. Because we saw quite a few cars around 8pm we decided to try it out. One caution is the floor is unreasonably slippery and you just be very careful if it is wet outside. They had caution floor slippery signs and floor mats but just a small step off the mat made me slip but not fall. Just sitting at the table my feet felt like they were on ice. They need to fix that. The restaurant appeared and smelled clean. I did not check out the restrooms. With that caution go and Enjoy a fabulous Thai meal with a Chang beer.
BEST Thai food I've had in years!!!
So yummy

Always so yummy. The curry puffs and pad see ew are phenomenal. The tom kha gai is my husbands favorite thing! Takeout or eat in, i love it here!
Nothing special. Food was warm, but plenty of seafood in the cashew meal.
The food was great, very flavorful and fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive.
Deleting copy’s appetizer sampler and delicious soup.
Delicious go to spot for great Thai food. Service is great, food is fantastic, reasonably priced. It's sometimes a little cold in that space but it does not stop me from going back. Highly recommend.
One of our favorite dine-in or takeout places to eat. The food is always warm and delicious and the people are friendly and kind. We hardly ever have to wait for an order and they always get it right. When we have guests staying at our home, this is our go-to place to eat. I highly recommend Siam Orchid.
I love the new at-table ordering system. The servers still serve and get full tips, but the chances of an order error are greatly reduced.
Delicious! Amazing desserts!
Filled my Soul to the brim with that Lemon grass soup!🫠😋 The service was exactly as it should have been👍🏻👍🏻, (nice to feel that again), and the atmosphere paired well with the savory flavors. I WILL be heading back there soon💃🏻.
Great spot for lunch or dinner, the service is great all around, very fast and efficient. I have always had a good experience here.
Love this spot, great service, and the food is consistently good.
Very authentic Thai! We loved our dishes. Great flavors. Humble restaurant but great menu and quality ingredients. We could tell it was prepared with skill and care.
A favorite all the time!!!
Been around for a while and I hope they stay! Authentic for sure! Family vibe.
Very good Thai food and a decent price. The food tasted fresh and clean. I wouldn't call it exceptional but I would make it a regular haunt for Thai food. The staff was friendly and attentive.
I owned a Thai restaurant in Sierra Madre California. I am now living up on the Oregon coast, but they do travel, and I am so glad that I can get ground basil chicken, prepared in a way that excites me whoever ever is in there I think them for their taste, because it certainly was good to my tummy .
From the moment I walked into this Thai restaurant, I was greeted with the comforting and aromatic scents of authentic Thai cuisine. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for both casual outings and special occasions.
The menu was extensive, offering a range of traditional Thai dishes as well as some unique twists. But what truly stood out for me was their sticky rice. It was, without a doubt, some of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, it had that ideal chewy texture and a subtly sweet flavor that paired exceptionally well with both the savory curries and the sweet mango dessert.
The service was impeccable, with the staff being attentive without being intrusive. They were happy to offer recommendations, which I appreciated as a sticky rice aficionado.
All in all, if you're in the mood for authentic Thai flavors with a particular emphasis on exceptional sticky rice, this is the place to be. Highly recommended for both newcomers to Thai cuisine and seasoned enthusiasts.
Food is always hot, fast, fresh and delicious. One of my top 3 Restaurants in Eureka
I can't believe I overlooked this gem for as long as I did. The location had ample parking around the back of the building, but doesn't appear to have much at a glance. Inside was nice and clean, the staff were immediately attentive, and nice! Our food was ready, hot, and delicious! I got the "Special Chicken" and it was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and had the perfect level of heat. The crab rangoons were good by themselves, but excellent when paired with the sauce that was provided.
All-in-all, I had a solid dining experience and will gladly go back.
EXCELLENT THAI FOOD! I lived in Thailand for about 3-4 years and Siam Orchid easily matches any restaurant, street cart or other meal bought out in Thailand. It is definitely a hidden jewel in Eureka's restaurant selections.
I strongly recommend trying all of the delicious options in their menu.
My husband and I love this place. Food is abundant with good quality ingredients.
Staff is always kind and helpful. Sometimes it may take a while to get your order, but it’s understandable since they use fresh ingredients and make it at the moment. In the end it’s worth waiting (;
One of my favorite local thai restaurants. Decent prices and good food.
delicious food and great service
Honestly really good
We live near by and love Siam Orchid.. Fresh. Delish. Healthy. Always able to make any special requests, like no sugar in the sauce, for our dietary needs. Friendly. Reasonably priced. (Good sized portions)
I love Siam Orchid Thai, I eat here for lunch every week!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Eureka. I always get the garlic chicken fried rice and it’s amazing. They have delicious Tai tea and boba. Great food and very friendly staff.
Best thai food in Humboldt.
The food was fantastic.
Pad see ew is a must.
My favorite spot ever
Great food, great service! We were looking for a place to eat that offered vegan options - Siam Orchid turned out to be the perfect restaurant for that. The staff was so friendly and super helpful. Made our brief stay in Eureka very memorable!
Best curry in Eureka, I had the chicken yellow curry and it's so good I could drink the sauce every day. Weird appetizer options, but some standard too, I hope to try those next time I go. Lovely service and comfortable atmosphere. Plenty of food, too, and leftovers keep well
Marvelous, COVID conscious service. The entrees were excellent.
Such good food. Can't wait to try it the next time we visit.
Been in Humboldt for several years and have been disappointed in finding decent Thai food, I finally gave this place a try and their pad Thai was the best I’ve ever had in humboldt. A bit pricey but definitely worth it, it was extremely delicious and they made it in a fast manner. It was extremely flavorful. I’ll definitely will come back to try their other dishes.
Ugh, another lackluster experience at a place I really want to enjoy. First the help was overwhelmed by a rather small crowd. We didn't get any beverages for over twenty minutes. Finally got service but after that wait it would have needed to be impeccable. It was just ok. A service industry level 101 class should be given to the staff here.
The food altogether was horribly bland for Thai food. The rice salad was flavoured well and the curry was just okay even when I said I wanted it an 8 on a scale to ten it wasn't spicy hardly. Lame! Other dishes I make better at home I'm sad to say. I think I'll leave out the two star atmosphere because I think they are remodeling soon. It needs a professional makeover for sure.
This being said, it is still a place I'll have to go back to as there are not better options here... I just will not go as often as I would if it was more focused on service, atmosphere and authentic Thai flavours.
Food was excellent. Quick service at lunch.
The food ordered was fresh and delicious. I wouldn't order the milk tea again though.
Best Thai food friendly clean place I love it
Consistently delicious. I am wild about the padd ped with tofu, on the spicier side. All of the dishes from here are quite solid!
Fabulous…ordered 4 items…all very good. Wonderful service. Clean & nice decor inside. Outside looked scary. As Vegans-many great options.
Yummy food with options for vegan and gluten free! Their chili oil is delicious too!
Not sure if the chef was having a bad day or if this is the regular routine......either way I'm not here for it. Been visiting here since 2016 and this is rare from this business, still highly unacceptable. Just because most Humboldt folks don't recognize good food doesn't mean we all haven't been exposed to the dining experience. This seems as though they just threw it together in 5 min.......as a Thai food(especially Pad See Ew) eater this is no where near how the dish should be executed, I ate the veges and tossed the rest. Disappointed.
Fantastic food
Love Siam Orchid
For the better experience though, always eat there, much better when brought right to you.
But even if I have to take out, this is still a fantastic restaurant!
I paid 40$ for crab rice that had NO crab…satay that was very small.
VERY disappointed
Freshest food I’ve ever had from a restaurant. I would die a happy woman.
Pineapple fried rice always a fave of mine.
The food was very good. Not expensive. We were happily surprised.
Yum yum! Food was most excellent, however it was FREEZING! Waiters had down coats on. Don't know if they had a problem with heater, but be prepared and enjoy the spicy food and hot tea.
Very friendly atmosphere.
The fried banana with ice cream is a must.
Great food, friendly staff and a clean kitchen that you can see when you pick up your to go order. Love their Pad Thai.
I loved this place for a while. . . Decent food but it's overpriced. I got a vegan pad ma kuer yesterday. What they consider 'vegan' food most definitely is full of animal broth and fish sauce, which out of respect for their restaurant I've came to terms with. This time I found 2 chicken bone fragments and a piece of chicken in my vegan pad ma kuer. So if you're looking for vegan food, this ain't it.
Back to their price. It set me back $14 and doesn't include jasmine rice ($2 extra, or $3 extra for brown rice). Brown rice, veggies, basil, tofu, and sauce, should not cost $17 (tax/tip not included). That is overpriced for such inexpensive ingredients.
Green Papaya Salad is decent, could however use higher quality tomatoes instead of the mushy (and almost nasty) tomatoes they've been using.
Their 1-10 spice level is a joke. I get it, it's Eureka. They don't want to burn people. But their 10 is a mild for me and every single other Thai restaurant I've been to has offered "Thai heat". That level of heat is a huge part of the appeal to get Thai food. This place doesn't offer "Thai heat". I started asking for 20 instead of 10. What they call 20 is definitely twice as much as the heat from 10, but it's still mild in comparison to what Thai heat should be.
Try this place, it's good. But I can't justify paying those prices for veggies and rice. And if you know how to cook, most of their food is extremely easy to make at home for much less price which can be far more enjoyable in the the long run!
Wasnt expecting much, just passing thru but omg this place is legit
Awesome thai food. Vegan options. Highly recommend!
Great food and great customer service! Vegan options.
Yummy thai food, good portion size
The BEEF spring roll is made by GROUND BEEF even though it says beef on the menu. noodle and seafood was Okay.
the most amazing tom kha i have ever had. service was amazing, and the food was even better.
Some of the best Thai food I have had and definitely better than the expensive place we tried in Napa.
The food was delicious. This is the second day I've come here. I had the Pad Thai, Crab Rangoon, and Mango Sticky Rice. The spiciness is amazing if you like to eat hot food. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
My favorite Thai food in Humboldt County
Food was very yummy! Restaurant staff were warm and nice. Thoroughly enjoyed, definitely recommend!
Pretty good. They seem to recognize my face and are always nice to me and my family.
Delicious and fantastic service. Definitely recommend
Stopped in Eureka on way to Trinidad. Ended up at Siam Orchid. Outside does not have curb appeal but inside was very clean, friendly staff, and food was fresh, well prepared and delicious. I would highly recommend Siam Orchid Thai Cuisine.
Best thai food in this area. Great service and classic thai entrees. And of course, FBI ( fried banana w icecream) for dessert.
Siam orchid is absolutely amazing! I am an idiot and I accidentally ordered from a restaurant that has the same name. that was in a different location and when I went to pick up my food I realized my mistake. They were closed but they gladly made me my food and they were so fast and sweet! The food is always amazing, the service is always great, and the recent updates to their dining ware has been noticed! So grateful to have an amazing Thai food restaurant ran by awesome people!
Delicious, unique, and fresh to the max! So many great vegan options too!
Incredible food and amazing service!!
Very delicious, lovely service.
Just a tad pricey
(✨4.3 - 4.6💫)
You know it’s real Thai food when you walk in the restaurant and see portraits of the Thai king lol. Just like the places my Thai auntie used to take us to down south. I’m a person who orders the same things every time—but I’ve tried a few things from here and it’s always pretty great. The chicken Pad Thai is delicious; the curries are great as well. The coconut crusted prawns are yummy, the sticky rice is good. I like the cucumber salad a lot too. The one thing that is really lacking is good Thai iced coffee/tea. But when I’m hungry, I order online after work and it’s ready in a half hour or 45 minutes. My go to place in Humboldt.
The food is definitely the best thai in the area. Reasonably priced and has a short wait time. Only downside is the atmosphere leaves something to be desired, but it's got its charms and the food makes it completely worth it.
Pricier than I would expect. Some dishes like the vegetarian pad woon send weren't super flavorful, pad see ew was tastier. Service was great and atmosphere was chill.
Great food and service.
Thr flavor is decent, but this place is expensive for what you get. I just paid $14 for a shrimp carrot salad. When I got it home I discovered it had exactly 2 shrimp. The rest of it is just blanched tomato (yuck), shredded carrot, a little lettuce/shredded cabbage that looks like it came out of a bag, a sad smattering of ground peanut, and some spicy lime dressing. It isn't anything I couldn't have made for a fraction of the price. I wouldn't be back.
Laab and sticky rice. Easily the best laab I've ever had. Paneng curry, spice level 9. F yes.
Precio muy elevado personal poco amable...
Very good for what Humboldt has to offer by way of ethnic restaurants. I give them 3.5 stars. My favorite Thai dishes are Tom Kha soup and Pumpkin Curry but sometimes the kobocha squash is undercooked and crunchy still. Definitely recommend to give them a try.
Best real deal Thai food , wonderful staff
Don’t eat here if you’re a vegetarian!
My partner got two orders of chicken pad thai for take out this weekend. In both orders there was chicken on the top layer of the pad thai, and the bottom was all tofu!
I paid for chicken, I should get chicken. I do not like tofu, the texture or the taste, so I couldn’t eat the dish. I feel ripped off, and reading other reviews of this place on other sites, it’s not the first time they’ve done this.
One vegetarian woman got tofu pad thai and they put tofu on top and chicken on the bottom! What about people with allergies and vegetarians? I’ve been trying to call and tell them about this (something tells me they already know) on the phone but I can’t get ahold of anyone. I will not be returning.
Good food. Good price. The place can use a bit if a face lift...
Guys.... Seriously....
Dont waste your Time -.-
Go direct to Mc Donald's
🤮
Massive hair on top of my dish, i had to return the crab fried rice it was burnt and the rice was 2 weeks old, we couldn't eat it. The soup had 2 shrimps and 3 pieces of pork, no veggies. Curry was dry, almost no sauce!!!
The waitress didnt bring sauce or chop sticks until the soup was cold. We will never come back, horrible service. Only good thing is the attitude of the trainee waitress, thank you
อาหารไทย ที่ไม่ใช่รสชาติไทย
Excellent Red Curry and Thai Fried Rice. Done just right, authentic. Perfect flavor on my takeout experience. Go for it!
The absolute best Thai in Humboldt, hands down. Fresh ingredients, amazing customer service! I always get the pad-ma-keer with tofu and the basil ta-lay with seafood. The chicken spring Brooke’s are divine! Highly recommended
Great menu good tasty choices
For such a small place they have really good food.
Probably the best Thai food in eureka/arcata. Only place that doesn't burn pad se ewe dish.
Dank.
Very good Thai food.
Love the Thai Tea! Addicting. Apps are delicious!
Gosh what can I say about my MOST FAVORITE restaurant EVER?!! THEY'RE THE BEST THAT'S WHAT!
Best Thai food I’ve had in a while, and I eat it several times a month. Red Pumpkin Curry with shrimp was amazing, as well as the Pad Kee Mao with pork. Loved the spiciness!
