Regional Thai home cooking from every regions of Thailand.
The meal I didn't know I was missing! We ordered the golden basket which came out quickly but was probably the weakest link of the meal. For the main course we had the drunken noodle, green curry and combination fried rice. I was very impressed with the green curry! Everything was extremely fresh and flavourful! Definitely needed this meal.
The food and service were good. Thai tea was delicious. Fried rice was excellent, very tasty. Authentic taste. Shrimp and chicken were cooked perfectly. They didn't have my soup dish, so I'll have to go back. Plenty of parking in the back. Servers were friendly. Would definitely recommend this place 👌
Wonderful authenticity.
I was a little intimidated by the large menu, but thankfully every dish we ordered well exceeded my expectations. The standout dish was the beef noodle soup, I highly recommend it whether it is ordered spicy or mild. It's a rich and balanced taste that I've not found in other Thai restaurants. The other famous dishes, pad see ew and pineapple fried rice, were also distinctly tasteful. There were also a good selection of northern and southern Thai dishes I did not have the occasion to try, but I suspect they would not disappoint.
Regarding value, I felt that each dish was enough for a single person. The price is about right for the portion, while the quality is very good.
The service was attentive and quite courteous. Meanwhile the decor of the restaurant itself created a comfortable atmosphere. I would encourage anyone looking for a good night to come here.
This is one of the best thai restaurants that we have been to. We got the pad see ew, the beef noodle soup the crispy tofu and the chicken skewers. Everything was delicious and filling. The soup was tasty with a slightly sweet flavor. The chicken skewers were almost like candy with the honey dipping sauce. The pad see ew was good but it is very hard to mess this dish up.
Best Thai food I’ve had in Los Angeles. The Northern and Southern specialties are unique and delicious. I love the fresh spice condiments, too.
Came in for a midday lunch and had the entire space to myself. I perused the extensive menu for longer than I normally would, and considered just about every option. I was impressed by the lunch special prices, each 13 dollars. The fried rice and cashew chicken won me over. The waiter was warm and attentive, chatting idly with me about the news as we waited for my food. It felt homey and relaxed, like the few people I saw working there barely thought of it as work, as if making me food was a happy incident of my stopping by. And it came out quickly, and it came out hot and carefully plated and it was delicious. Complex in flavor, sweet but not cloying, spicy but not painful, light but filling. A perfect, 5 star lunch.
We moved in to Tarzana area about a year ago . This Thai restaurant is not far from our home and really good Thai food in this area , we are so happy about it. Highly recommended
Fancy Thai restaurant in every sense of the word. Location in Encino AND along Ventura Blvd. Spacious dining area. Subdued lighting. Classy hardwood interior, Uniformed servers. Serious about its cuisine that it distinguishes between Northern and Southern Thai dishes. The best feature of this restaurant? It's price. This place deserves no less than 5 stars.

Good food, good prices, friendly staff!!
Amazing food
Lunch Special used to include a 🥣 of soup...
What happened???

Food was great!!
Food delicious. Very nice customer service. We will definitely be back for that sweet and sour sauce.
Noisy and just basic decor, but the food and service are outstanding.
Been here several times. WARNING ⚠️ I eat super spicy, but if you ask for super spicy, it can kill you.
Delicious food and reasonable prices. Tons of parking including handicap ♿️
Everything is very authentically Thai, nothing Thaish or fusion.
Highly recommend this hidden gem. Try their purple rice, Delicious 😋
Excellent food at a great price.
Highly recommended
The food is really good but like a lot of places in LA, their posted hours are different from their actual hours. What's the point of saying you close at 10 when you stop serving food at 930?
The food was amazing and the service was spectacular
With the catchy outdoor lights and better reviews for Thai food on Ventura Blvd, I was really looking forward to trying this Thai spot. So I finally went for lunch with a friend, and... was pretty disappointed, unfortunately. I've eaten a lot of Thai food in my life and have a pretty good understanding of what makes popular Thai dishes good vs GREAT vs okay vs meh... Maybe it was just the lunch time cook that day, but never have I had such a bad pad see ew that I didn't really want to eat it. It made my face go... "wth??" Lol... But my favorite, yellow curry, should make up for it, yeah? Wrong. No flavor at all... and no potatoes! First time ever wishing there was salt on the table at a Thai restaurant. Anyway... I really wanted to like this spot, but unfortunately I won't be going back.
I picked up my order last night and I was so disappointed. The orange chicken so dry and the chicken pad Thai gave my friend food poisoning. The Northridge site is so much better. Do not come to this location!

A widely varied menu for lovers of Thai food.
I have never had the food be ready on time for take out
friendly service and incredible panang curry
Amazing Thai, my favorite in the city
Order very hot level 8-10 and dinner was mild at best. Not good food cold and flavorless
Love the vegan options, great customer service. Plenty of parking.
I ordered appetizers and entree hoping the appetizer would come first and it all came at once. The Thai iced coffee was way too bitter and the food was definitely lacking in every way. They were closing in 1 hour when I came in and not one single server I came to me and asked me how I was doing or to refill my soda so my opinion service sucks and the food was not too far behind it and for the price it wasn't worth it at all.
This Thai restaurant has to be the worst one I've ever been to. The beef was horrible and they charge me over $20 for a bowl of beef. I should have gone to the Chick-fil-A right around the corner.
My favorite restaurant super delicious food and very nice people
Drunken noodles is my go to
This place is great if you want a comfortable and nice place to sit down and enjoy delicious food. We’ve been here a few times and love the food, service, and atmosphere.
The fried rice was flavorless, and the seafood soup was ok
The beef noodles soup smelled horrible I think toilet water smells better! And plus the dishes were black and broken not even chiped. I don't recommend this restaurant.
Great ambiance, plenty of parking, outstanding service, tasty and spicy food, great lighting, comfortable booth seating!
We had the Tom Kha soup, the Panang curry with shrimp, glass noodles, and Jasmine tea, all perfectly cooked! Johnny is an outstanding server, very pleasant and courteous.
Highly recommend!!!
Best Thai. Very clean, good service.
Very disappointing. Meat was tough. No flavor in noodles. Small vegetable potions. Rice NOT included.
Forgot the pictures. But get the lunch deal for $13 and you won’t regret it.
I got the Pad Thai + fried chicken combo. Holy moly.
Great ambiance, plenty of parking, outstanding service, tasty and spicy food, great lighting, comfortable booth seating! Highly recommend!!!
Good food...excellent service and location
Food is amazing - highly recommend
Food is great, but i hate the fact i'm being hurried for my order
Tom Kha Gai soup - Pathetic. No trace of coconut, probably the worst I've ever had. Threw half of it away.
Duck & pineapple curry - Excellent flavor, pretty good overall, but half of the duck was just skin from a duck.
The food was delish as always and Johnny was such a great waiter.
The bestest Thai place in all the land, well at least SFV. Great prices, great service, and consistent deliciousness!
First time having dinner here and it was pretty tasty definitely coming back again. Service was fast and welcoming. Food fresh and delicious. We ordered spicy shrimp soup and combination fried rice.
Excellent choice of dishes. Mostly on a spicy side.

This restaurant definitely speaks upscale. Its dining area is exquisite, staff are friendly and welcoming. And its food? Oh man, dont get me started, its certainly worth every penny. It's also very easy to spot from a moving vehicle, parking space at the back, which is always convenient. When it comes to Thai Cuisine, Lum Ka Naad definitely got the playbook in their court. This place also boast a average pricing for their very tasty meals. The lighting in the dining area definitely helps adds a warm cozy feeling to the already beautiful setting of this restaurant. I would definitely rate this 5 stars for food quality and restaurant feel and design also gets a 5 star rating. And another 5 star to the wonderful team that works there. Five star everything, this place certainly deserves it. This is my second time visiting and I Definitely recommending this to a friend or colleague whether they are into Thai Cuisineor not into Thai Cuisine, this place got the magic to make them enjoy their time there while having their belly filled with delicious meal. And I definitely will revisit for another round of pure good finger licking Thai cuisine experience.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been to Lum Ka Naad due to moving out of the Valley, but man did I miss this place. It’s one of the best Thai restaurants in the valley in my opinion.
They have a HUGE menu, consisting of traditional Thai dishes, as well as “Asian Favorites” such as Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef and Kung Pao Shrimp.
I ordered two of their most popular dishes, the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. Of the two, the Pad See Ew was the clear winner. The noodles soaked in the delicious sauce and the broccoli had a nice garlic flavor. I finished this meal in record time it was so good! The Pad Thai was also very tasty. I’ve had Pad Thai’s in the past that are drenched in sauce and covered with peanuts, but this one had good consistency, and the crushed peanuts came on the side.
The restaurant itself has a nice interior and is great for a party of 4 or more.
I cannot wait to come back here and try more dishes! Definitely try this place if you are in the Valley and craving Thai.
Tasty dishes, we had pineapple fried rice n pad Thai.
They really lack the flavor. Undersalted, underspiced.
Amazing food and super helpful and friendly servers. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
Spicey and delicious!
Good food is one thing. Consistently good is another, and Lum Ka Naad is consistent. The restaurant promises a palate full of flavor and employees who are all smiles. LKN is among the top eateries on Ventura Blvd, not just the best among Thai spots: LKN is a top contender among the entire Boulevard’s chain of food.
Very good food. Recommend the tom yum shrimp soup
They are so slow here! We arrived at 7pm, no one took our order until 7:20, our food didn’t come to the table until 7:50! Come on.
Excellent Thai food! Extensive menu. Lots of easy parking. Warning.. Spicy means spicy so don't be a hero lol get the medium spice level unless you are used to Thai hot.
Sad. Worst Pad Thai ever. If they can’t get that basic dish right, I’d be afraid to try anything else. I wish Eart, Wind, and Flour was still operating in that location.
Great food really nice staff I loved it
Incredible selection of authentic dishes. The staff was very friendly.
I have eaten here for years. Just went again and it has completely changed. The ingredients were totally different, unrecognisable. The green curry tasted like chicken soup. No discernible coconut, wasn't green, couldn't taste any lemon grass, no sweetness. It didn't taste like green curry at all. Never eating there again.
For a place that was superb in past visits, it has certainly gone down the drain. Went in for a coconut soup (easy kill). The soup was so sour I had to stop eating it half way. They completely over did it withe lemon, lemon grass and the citric acid. The steamed rice was so over cooked that once I got a little deeper than half an inch it was more of a solid piece of paste. This was most certainly TRASH FOOD!
Then to top off the ordeal I was sent on my way without utensils, napkins and sauces that most places include without asking! I know that inflation is starting to infiltrate our lives, but, seriously, how much can a plastic spoon, napkin and two soy sauce packets impact a business. I would gladly pay for utilitarian items that I NEED TO EAT THEIR VERY EXPENSIVE FOOD!
Will not be visiting Lum Ka Naad again.
Blachh! 😝🤮
The SUPER SOUR TASTE is still in my mouth!
Didn't disappoint. Good food, good service and reasonable price.
Food was just ok. Service was very bad. Nothing to brag about.
Wonderful authenticity.

Delicious food. I love the chicken pad thai. Good service and great portions.
Can never go wrong with anything you order here. Great customer service and they take pride in food they prepare and serve. Pricey, but worth it, if you are looking for authentic Thai cuisine.
Very good food. Authentic Thai dishes.
Best Thai food you can find in valley. They have a store in Northridge also. Make sure you get tom yum gon.
Very authentic with a nice variety of traditional dishes. The pad thai is good but a little bit bland. The flavor is not very distinctive but its fair.
Service is fast and easy.
Recommend parking in the back. Its a bit of a maze. The food is good not amazing but its a good option if your in a hurry.
Didn't have a great experience. Staff was not very attentive and made mistakes with order. Food was overly salty and service sloppy and slow. Had a much better experience at the Northridge location. Maybe it was just an off night but am not likely to return.
One of the best Thai restaurants in LA. I love this place.
Amazing food that is packed with flavor. I highly recommend the drunken noodles. The squid salad is delicious and the Tom Kha Khai is sour and sweet. This is my favorite Thai restaurant.
Best Thai food in the valley!
YUM
Delicious food--freshly prepared. Large variety in the menu. Ample portions. Large comfortable space with room between diners for covid. Friendly staff and fast service. Free parking lot. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Shrimp on my soup was mushy, crying tiger beef was not marinated w no flavor, yellow curry had under cooked potatoes and curry lacked flavor, save you’re money and head to Hollywood and eat at Luv2eat Thai bistro
The curry duck was fantastic
The tastes in their food make me smile...service is always great
Consistent, flavourful, excellent service. Very reaonably priced. Fsvorites include Pad Thai, Garlic Eggplant, Curries, especially Green Curry. The menu features many variations of noodles, meats, as well as a good selection of seafood. The result ..... many satisfying choices. Try it...you won't be disappointed.
Great Thai at a reasonable price! So happy to see that this place made it through the pandemic.
We have been here twice before and had good food, this time was not the same. Tom kah soup was terrible tasting. The seafood curry should have crab legs but there were none and one small scallop, should be called fish soup. There were small nats flying everywhere. The service was ok
The server was nice… but the food was so horrible and cost way to much. I ordered soy chicken spicy eggplant sautee and side of rice was extra. Soy chicken and eggplant and carrots all tasted 5 days old. Was not worth $25 ! It literally tasted 5 days old and loooked it and portions were super tiny. I normally dont make reviews but this was just so horrible and upsetting
Fancy Thai restaurant in every sense of the word. Location in Encino AND along Ventura Blvd. Spacious dining area. Subdued lighting. Classy hardwood interior, Uniformed servers. Delicious authentic Thai cuisine! Brings back memories of Thailand!
Huge menu!
Interesting hours but spectacular food that has me coming back every month or so. The dishes are just large enough to be shareable but can also be conquered solo.
I love their food. Unfortunately this particular visit they ran out of the fried chicken for the combo meal that I wanted and failed to let me know until I arrived to pick up my food. They gave me a couple of egg rolls for my trouble.
This is maybe the best Thai food I've ever had. The variety and quality is really unmatched, I legitimately eat here multiple times a week.
I have always loved this restaurant. But tonight's meal was a disaster. I ordered Mee Krob, and it was awful. Like cotton candy. just piles and piles of sweet sticky noodles, hardly a ghost of protein. No schrim that I could find, just an awful dish. I would take it back and get something else, but I am on my way out of town -- no time to do the 20 minute drive to Encino.
Great person thanks 😊
Great place!
We order the cat fish and it was to salty, we return the dish and the manager came back saying the dish wasn't salty for him, so we say well, for us it is. He said that how can we know if the other dishes were not salty. What kind of a question is that? I ask him if we can had a sample and he said no. So how can we know? He should know! I think it was rude and we are not coming back. I didn't like the food that much and less with that kind of actitud.
Very Authentic!!!
Good food, nice potions, great service, all in all highly recommended! Our favourite Thai restaurant before the lockdown so so glad they're open again! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RESTAURANTS!
Meals here are great. Excellent Thai food.
This is my favorite Thai food restaurant in The Valley. I love their spicy eggplant tofu with their special brown rice.
The fish didn’t taste very fresh this time i’m not sure why usually it Tastes better
SLOW SERVICE
This place is really tasty. Been going here for years! HUGE variety on their menu, still haven't explored everything available! But if you want to try some really great food besides the usual Thai fare, try the Nom Kao Tod (crispy rice salad), Pla Pling (spicy fish cooked in a banana leaf) and the Kao Tang Nah Tang (crispy rice cakes and pate)
Goes beyond the usual Thai fare with Northern & Southern Thai specialties. Good service & portions.
I've always had a mixed experience in this place - sometimes their service is superior, other times it felt like no one works here.
Beyond their service, I have had a consistent great experience with their delicious meals!
I highly recommend the place
First time in the restaurant. Just ordered the food for a pick up on my friend’s recommendation. Good quality and very tasty. Friendly service too.
Thai food is okay, and service is horrible
Very good fresh Thai food with good several.
Rica la sopa y todo muy buena atención
Nice Thai restaurant. A bit pricey as compared to other restaurants in So Cal but I guess since its in Encino the cost of doing business is a little higher. The food was excellent. The Thai ice tea was passable though. The lunch specials and regular dishes are averagely priced. The lunch is $10.95 although I am not sure if it includes a drink.
Rotten lemon w my Pad Thai
Una atencion buena y la comida MMmmmMuy buena
This place has excellent Thai food. Do yourself a favor and order off the speciality menus (northern or southern). For cold weather, try the Khao Soy. This place offers so much more than cheap Thai take out, try it out!
Great Thai in the valley. Food is excellent. Servers are nice. The prices are reasonable. Clean. Nice.
We got pad thai and larb. The larb was spicy and awesome.
Great food and lots a choices. Male waiters are better. Less mistakes when ordering.
Delicious
Excellent meal, good service, clean and pleasant.
I ate the food here. It was good. Do you like food? If so then this is a place to get food for yourself.
good food. open late
Drove by and saw the sign "southern and northern Thai food," I made a u turn and tried. It was worth the turn. They have a large menu and the employees are well knowledgeable of the dishes, even showing photos of what it looks like. Be direct and ask questions, so an appropriate choice is made. I had the drunken noodles with chicken (my go too and totally yummy there), fresh rolls (good), and banana leaf wrap chicken breast (northern dish). Great portions of food, tasty and would revisit. Very attentive staff. Clean facilities, free parking. Prices are about 12-18.99, but worth it.
The food isn't great and it's not authentic. I feel they've really altered the recipes over the years to make everything less spicy and more sweet. I was disappointed.
My wife's food was fine, and mine was edible. I would not go out of my way to recommend this restaurant.
Great, fresh foods and amazing customer service!
Best curry in the area! Very very fast service!
The best Thai food in the valley. Northern and Southern region dishes perfectly made.
Best Tom Yum Kong in the valley and I'm addicted to the shrimp Khua gling its simply amazing
The restaurant is nice and spacious. The tables aren't crowded together like at other restaurants. I ordered the pad Thai and satay chicken lunch special. It came with chicken soup and an egg roll. The food is salty and the taste isn't the best.
Fantastic food, great servers and very timely.. great food thanks!
