Had Christmas Dinner at New Mulan, it was an amazing experience. The dining hall looks like it was just renovated, it was very nice and clean. The Sashimi Platter was fabulous, fresh, and tasty, same with the Crispy Shrimp with Walnuts. The server we had was attentive. We will definitely come back again! If you are looking for Authentic Chinese food, New Mulan is a must-try!

Chicken with Eggplant casserole : It was very salty but I enjoyed the taste. It came out in a bubbling plate.
Salted porkchops: Nice crunchy outer crust.
Chicken w Broccoli: Very standard dish, slightly too salty but the chicken pieces were super tender! Broccoli was cooked to a perfect crunch.
Singapore Noodles: Tasty!
Fried flounder: I loved the crispy skin of the flounder. It tasted fresh.
Steak w black pepper sauce: The chunks were tender but they were very large and needed a knife to make some smaller cuts. However the sauce was just alright.

The food was great and priced well! The dim sums service has tons of varieties and they all came out fresh and hot. We ordered the soft shell crab fried sticky rice and that was phenomenal

With so many restaurants in Flushing, it's hard to compete. This is a classic Cantonese Family style dining restaurant. Night manager and staff are few in numbers on a weekday. I remember when this place used to be packed all the time. Food is very good but expect to pay the newer inflated prices. A standard banquet menu starts at $588 with about 8 dishes which include a lot of seafood and proteins. Still a good value given the portion sizes. Best dish is the baked pumpkin with oxtail. Excellent flavor and texture. Their marble goby is the fish to try as well as the steamed flounder. I personally liked the steamed oysters with vermicelli - in which you order by piece. They suggest one per person (not a sharing dish). And the classic Signature fried rice is good. This last visit I was there for a birthday party and we were given some freebies, nice touch. (Don't order the fried chicken, too dry).

It’s fun to share food with loads of friends, though a little hard to see the options in the cart and stop the ladies for the dishes I want.

They should serve more condiments and waiters/waitresses should serve more better to check the guests whether they need anything else

The food here are delicious. It usually gets busy in the afternoon, so you should come in the morning if you want to get a table. The staffs are polite and they circle every occupied table at set intervals. Therefore, you do not need to worry about the staffs not coming to you. Of course, you can also directly order a dish if you miss the cart.

外卖台前写的大中小点都是4.5,又有标价另外叉烧什么乱七八糟的东西是什么价也写了。炒米粉没有单列价格，以为是4.5元。（因为隔壁东粤茶楼差不多规模的酒店这个是4一5元），让打包了。收我9.25元。问一下脸臭的这个是这个价，让打个单就变成超点。以后不会去这家了，不知道什么时候一个没考虑到就被乱收价了。

Was there for a wedding dinner. Service was terrible. Dishes came super rush. Stalking all left over dishes on the same plate. We attended a wedding at New Mulan, it wasn't the restaurants fault but it was a total mess n the wait staff couldn't help anyone. Place is very well lit, maybe even a little too bright. We waited so long for the wedding to start so the food was served only at lukewarm temperature, very sad. I will attempt to revisit the place for a casual meal experience next time

My cousin has his wedding banquet here. Food is good, solid 4. Service is not desirable. Our waiter put half the 帝王蟹 on the flip over shell on the table, using it like a plate. Food came out really slow at the beginning, then 5 dishes include the fish came out last 10mins.

By far the most terrible experience I have ever had in my life - waiters were super rude, refused to provide menu and literally threw chopsticks to the table and yelled at us for not ordering a large portion at the beginning; only stayed 15 mins, at the end I was threatened and forced to add extra tips when putting 10% due to its horrible services. Will report it.

Tried a new place for dimsum and suprisingly enjoyed a great meal. Although we were placed by the door which impacted service, service was fast and the food was hot. A little robot brings out your ordered food which was pretty cool. Recommend the chicken feet, congee, pork dishes. The soft shell crab fried rice was delicious as well.

Food was OK. I like the dim sum from East Restaurant better. We got there at 1 ish and seems like they are winding down, not many dim sum to pick from which is surprising cos I always thought dim sum ends at 3 or 4pm.

Excellent dim sum food in your typical banquet hall with typical dim sum service. All the usual dim sum standbys were on point (chicken feet, steamed rice rolls with shrimp, all manners of dumplings and shumai, fried Turnip cake, etc). The three menu items we got were amazing - crab fried rice (with almost entire soft shell crabs inside it, one of the best fried rices I've had), shrimp walnut (with colossal shrimp) and lobster lo mein.
Pro tip: have a cute baby with you, it probably gives you better service.

Be aware of extra charges when dining here. For dim sum, it is $1.50 per person tea service. Each table is given one small hot sauce and mustard. Any additional sauce is $1 extra.

We asked the waiter why is there an extra charge for hot sauce and was told "I dunno talk to the manager". We flagged the manager and was basically told it doesn't matter if the table has 2 person or 6 person, it's one hot sauce per table and $1 extra per sauce after that. He couldn't tell us the reason why though and it really doesn't make sense how 6 people could share such a small amount of hot sauce.

The dim sum here is good but not good enough to warrant such bad service and extra charges.

The #1 dish you have to get is the fried crab rice dish. Come just to get this.

Dimsum is pretty bad. Some food weren't even cooked properly. We gone in on the weekday for the weekday specials of 3.95 of any small, medium and large plate dimsum. Only to find out upon receiving the check that they have three additional sizes above 'large' size. The plates we ordered doesn't look above large size. Also, there were way lesser food on each plate. It is very misleading and confusing. They should advised the customers which size is each plate before serving. We wouldn't recommend this place for it's food and it's misleading price practice. Bad place.

My new dim sum haunt in Queens

Such a yummy authentic dim sum place! The restaurant is located in a small complex with restaurants, food court, and in-door parking where the restaurant offer parking validation for discounted rate ($4 for 2 hours) which is cheaper than outdoor parking across the street. Dim sum is a la carte style where there are carts going around and you pay for what you order. The carts are split into fried dim sum, steamed dim sum, congees, etc.

Service is quick and staffs are helpful. The atmosphere makes you feel like you are eating dim sum in a traditional setting in Asia. Only note is come early because the place is packed and you might have to compete a bit to get attention from dim sum cart staffs but hey, it just add more to the experience and was kind of fun.

Highly recommend snow roast pork bun!

Wait so long for the dim sum I ordered because the cart didn't come out often. Service is not good. The waitress keeps yapping and does not pay attention to the customer. And ask to fill up the tea and they have an attitude. I do not recommend this restaurant. And you have to pay attention to the server they try to stamp more dishes on your bill.

Service was poor or non existent. The restaurant wasn't even an eighth filled. There were many wait staff standing around. Only the push cart staff were actually working. Dim sum on the food carts didn't look yummy delicious. It looked rather dry. We got there about 1 pm and there weren't many offerings. Taste was neither bad nor good. Just edible.

As a regular customer, I am disappointed of this. There is a baby fly in the pot of our tea. When I told them about that, the guy in white shirt said that it is because of the way they store the tea leaves. Of course I know that , and you should just change a new pot of tea for us but not just walk away. He did apologize for the tea at the end and I still got charge on the tea at end.
Also, when my wife asked for help from one of the waitress who is also in white shirt , she was rudely responded to my wife that " I am busy" and walk away after she has done on her own thing, which is not even try to help us at all.

Extremely rude wait staff. You're out of luck if they seat you in the corner. The carts will never come. If you ask the waiters to help get a certain item they will rudely tell you to wait for a cart that will never come. Today January 29, 2023 my first time to visit New Mulan Chinese restaurant with my wife for lunch with dim sim also we have lobster e fu noodle we spend over $100 for two of us and we came out with unhappy of service and food especially on lobster noodle without claws on the plate it only showed the head, tail, and bodies of lobster when I question the server and the manager the answer is today’s special I have to take what I have but I’m unhappy of $27.95 I spend for the dish and I don’t get whole lobster on the plate and missing claws the manager and restaurant don’t apologize to customer I will not suggest people to go visit the irresponsible restaurant and I will not go visit too

在新木兰吃过几次。一次早茶，一次晚餐。首先装修感觉非常好，大厅宽敞、舒适、明亮。跟传统粤菜酒楼装修风格一模一样，非常适合聚餐。食物感觉味道不错，是正宗粤菜。早茶茶点味道可以打四分，排骨蒸肠粉吃完有些腻。那天没吃几笼。晚餐当时吃得很丰盛，每样菜味道很好，感觉不错。服务人员都还可以，餐饮行业服务都比较辛苦。做过餐饮行业，所以不像以前，现在都不好意思叫服务员斟茶递水的。服务人员靠客人小费，如果客户群稀少，服务员人数多就没什么钱。服务员少了，酒楼服务又跟不上来，惹毛客户。招人也不好招。小费低了，服务员也没动力服务。怎么换人都一样。饭店之前不知如何，但疫情后生意似乎不怎么样。这种酒楼饭店必须要办酒席或爆满，不然不够给人工和租金的。法拉盛餐饮竞争很激烈，维持生意也是很艰难的。

要说法拉盛饭店哪一家服务态度最差唯一花木兰从经理到男服务生几个人的态度实在让我们吐🤮🤮我在1月20日下午两点左右到花木兰吃饭，我到了后点了二盘小猪排一盘虾球还有一盘鱼尖椒，从进餐厅只有一位女服务员给我一壶茶水，一直到我吃完。期间我到处喊服务员没有人理会我，最后我点了五盘小猪排和五盘虾饺外带食物找的都是推车人员，我跟她们说用汤罐打包，因为我是下午4.55的飞机✈️我要打包在行里箱，这时有一位穿白衬衫的男子过来说，不可以用汤罐只可以用餐馆规定的盒子，我怎么跟他说都不行，最后结账他要我15元左右的小费🈂️我说我一个人吃饭不到20元，为什么要求我给15元小费🈂️他不里我。我去了收银员那里交了堂吃加外卖一共85元餐费，给了5⃣️元小费🈂️结果收银员把我叫住让我必须给15元小费🈂️不然不许走。我说我一个人吃饭不到20元5⃣️元小费🈂️不可以吗？她说因为服务员给我打包，我说难道我们点外卖不是服务人员打包吗？因为我的飞机已经马上到点了，无奈之下只好给15元小费🈂️对于花木兰里面的服务态度太差了，特别是那个所谓的经理在旁边说不想听我讲话。
