She made an exceptional 🚚 bypassing food service fleet. seafood Khao soi so rad flavorful exotic tender most noodles kept sumccous with every bite. With left over broth steamed chicken dumplings became drunken, too. And a large Thai tea was so sweet and stimulating the afternoon thru... Just accept that Uncle Sam is uncaring and raised inflation. Here at The taste kitchen you get more bang for your buck !!

Worst place to eat EVER! Flies all over the food, woman very very rude, terrible all around, they need to close this nasty place down ASAP. I cannot believe that the city allows these dirty nasty people to serve contaminated food with flies to the public. This woman is so rude and nasty i cannot believe it. Do yourself a huge favor and find a good place to eat as this one is minus fifty stars.

Diner Review №6

It's a nice place to enjoy Himalayan cuisine. Humble, casual dine-in restaurant, indoor and outdoor. Portions are on the smaller side, relative to American sizes and prices listed. Good food. Tends to be slow / short-staffed, so go on off nights.

Diner Review №7

A tiny joint that explodes with unexpected flavor. I ordered the crab meat omlette fried rice and it was da bomb.

Diner Review №8

Owner seemed nice, the food was not. Will not come back. I have no clue how there are such raving reviews, must have gone downhill.

Diner Review №9

Excellent food and service here! Don’t be misled by looks it’s just a simple restaurant in a strip mall. Dinner for two reasonably priced it’s my go to for thsi. Green spicy curry and glass noodle dish hard to get elsewhere. It’s a winner among many Thai restaurants locally.

Diner Review №10

Good lunch

Diner Review №11

Tasty

Diner Review №12

Cute, good food, small portions,

Diner Review №13

Foods are good

Diner Review №14

Horrible customer service & very disappointing! The woman there have a nasty attitude!

Diner Review №15

I went in to order some food I ordered chicken Pad Thai. When I got home I realized it was shrimp pad thai. And I can't eat shrimp. I tried calling them at 9:45pm they close at 10:00 but did not answer their phone so I couldn't go up there and exchange it. So I had to throw away my food

Diner Review №16

Diner Review №17

Amazing pad Thai!

Diner Review №18

Do not eat at this place food is not good at all. And the older women was very rude for some reason 😒 no clue why. The BBQ pork rib was not good at all. And the shrimp dumplings are basically baged store bought shrimp from the freezer section at the local grocery store that have been wrapped poorly in wanton pepper. Everything was very disappointing and the price was a but higher than it should have been for such low quality food. You can tell they don't make anything with kindness or love in this kitchen.

Diner Review №19

진짜 맛있다. 우리집 앞에도 있었으면 좋겠다. 그럼 맨날 사먹을텐데...

Diner Review №20

Friendly service, great food.

Diner Review №21

This place should be called "The Tasteless Kitchen"
The Shrimp Tom Kha soup was terrible - no flavor.
The BBQ spare ribs were fatty and in a sauce that was incredibly salty.
The Shrimp veggie rolls weren't crunchy but soggy and the sweet and sour sauce was like watered down honey - no pungent taste.

Very disappointing. There are lots of better Thai places in the area so go someplace else.

Diner Review №22

The orange chicken wasn’t the greatest but the cream cheese wontons were delicious. Service was excellent because she brought my food to my car. I’ll go again to try something else.

Diner Review №23

It is a small restaurant but very tasty Asian food and reasonable price

Diner Review №24

Diner Review №25

A mom & pop shop that my local friend eats at on a monthly, and it really shows because it is a true authentic Thai family that immigrated to LA in the early 1990s and opened this restaurant and had it for years. A washroom literally in the back of the venue, that is a storage closet and non-fluent english speakers, and on top of that the yelling in kitchen. This is exactly what a true authentic mom & pop shop is like, and this is the food culture is missing.

Anyways, I have to talk about the food here, because it is extremely delicious and it shows that these are the places that should support by locals.

Thai Ice Tea: 8/10
Perfectly blood orange, and it was the style of Thai Ice Tea I wanted. My camera is coming it off as just pure orange and I don't know why, but it was a more of a dark reddish orange and it was good.

Papaya Salad: 7/10
I thought this was a very cute take of a thai version of a papaya salad. I think this was just ok in my book, but what makes these salads are how long the papaya was soaked for in the family style fish sauce. And the papaya was extremely delicious. Their family style fish sauce was extremely delicious too.

Red Thai Seafood Curry: 10/10
This was a peak for me. I love the flavours of this red thai curry. The seafood was plentiful, and the curry mixed with the sticky rice was just delicious. It was a perfect portion. I had at least 4 portions sharing it with a friend.

Green Thai Chicken Curry: 7/10
I wished we didn't order a chicken curry, maybe we should have tried another meat, but the green curry was delicious, was it was lacking a type of flavour and I don't know what it is. Maybe next time I should order another type of meat.

Mango Sticky Rice: 9/10
We ordered a dessert before we left as the waitress was asking about our opinions about their food, and I told them what I liked and what I didn't like. They actually talked with us a little bit about our experience and their food. And tbh, their mango sticky rice was exactly what I like about a family style mango sticky rice. I wasn't expect the pandan flavour in it at all, but they gave it to me. YUM!

Support local and your mom & pop shops!!!

Diner Review №26

Good food great taste

Diner Review №27

Hole in the wall restaurant with excellent Thai food. Good options for vegetarians as well. Limited seating and wait can be long

Diner Review №28

Nice people. Always good food.

Diner Review №29

Diner Review №30

I have been craving some authentic Asian cuisine which I have had great ones in the bay area. I was extremely disappointed when all the food we ordered was mediocre. It was a nightmare because my family and I were starving. I am not sure how they got those reviews because everything we ordered was horrible. Which Chinese restaurant messes up house fried rice, black pepper beef, chow mein, chow fun noodles. The name should be "Tasteless." I had them take mine back but the rest of my family were too hungry to let go. Horrible!! Please hire new cooks.

Diner Review №31

the food was good, very happy

Diner Review №32

I am disappointed with the type of service we received. The place is super small, no server or cashier at the front. I stepped to the side to flag someone for my food. The lady came dashing at me thinking that I was going to enter a restricted area. Food wasn’t the best pho but it was ok. BUT service was terrible. We were visiting the area. Staying at a hotel close by, I have 2 little kids with me so I asked for an extra serving bowl and utensils since kids we’re sharing and no 4 year old can eat from those tall cylinder containers Pho soup comes in. The lady said NOOO. I asked for napkin she said No. I let that go THEN I asked if the pho soup didn’t come in contact with any sea food especially shellfish? She just proceeded to dismiss me with an annoyed look. I stated it again, my child has a shellfish allergy that requires Epipen and so I just need a yes or no answer. She said No with just annoyed face and a heavy sigh. Now am sure they have served some black people before. If not I prefer that if an Asian restaurant doesn’t like serving a certain group of people, a sign can be put at the door.

Diner Review №33

Bruh there was a hard rock in my pad thai

Diner Review №34

Horrible experience do not trust the reviews totally and highly overrated. Save your time and money. Took the time to dine inside and provided one single napkin gosh seriously…No joke seriously one napkin. To add insult to injury they charge .50 for a take-out container (it is actually taped at the table) cheap cheap cheap!!! The food was not up to par skimpy on quantity of food and lacked in presentation and taste was not the quality of authentic Thai cuisine. Lacked freshness be careful when reading highly rated reviews. Again this establishment will not meet any high standards definitely zero rating should be an option. Zero is the truest rating deserved.

Diner Review №35

It's really small, but the food was very good and more than we expected ( as in more food).

Diner Review №36

The Taste Kitchen wows me with its innovative flavors, cozy atmosphere, and a delightful twist on familiar dishes.

Diner Review №37

Awesome! Thank you so much!!! I recommend it for visiting this place!!!!!

Diner Review №38

Diner Review №39

The food there is spectacular! We ordered Thai Curry nodded, Spicy fried rice, veggies lovers, and Mango sticky rice. Each dish are full of wok hei and flavors and I can't express how much I love the food there!

Diner Review №40

Diner Review №41

I have no idea why this place is rated so high because it's so undeserving. The protein was not good and the noodles had a weird smell. Save yourself the stomach ache.

Diner Review №42

Diner Review №43

Always friendly and delicious, love the khao soi.

Diner Review №44

Diner Review №45

Excelente se los recomiendo

Diner Review №46

Best Thai food I’ve had in Los Angeles. Amazing place and amazing staff

Diner Review №47

Great flavors in a small place. Don’t let the looks fool you.

Diner Review №48

If I can give this establishment, ero stars I would. Yesterday I picked up food from them: Tom Kha soup with shrimps, Frilyed calamari and Chinese Broccoli with crispy pork.
Food was old, not fresh but reheated. Pieces of pork probably save in red for a week - my dog did not want even to try. All food went directly to garbage can. Simply awful food. I found later that I already got food from them in 2020 and left similar review...
I am curious who are these people who have the 5 stars and raving about their food... What they usualy eat - dog dry food?🧐

Diner Review №49

Feel like they just put too much sugar in all their dishes. I'm a big thai food lover and this just fell short for me. We ordered the crispy cream cheese, tom kha soup, the green papaya salad, the pad see ew, and the panang curry. In all my years of eating Thai, I've never had a place just put red chili flakes on my dish to add spice so that wasn't my favorite. Overall, will continue my search for the best Thai in LA.

Diner Review №50

so yummy and the service was amazing!!! they kept my drink full and the food came out so quickly. a quiet nice place to eat and very affordable! my new favorite thai food place.

i forgot to take pictures of the food at the restaurant so here’s some ambiance pictures of the restaurant and my food the next day as leftovers 😂😂(the bread is my own sandwich bread haha)

Diner Review №51

Delicious Thai food and reasonable prices! I have visited 3 times myself. I recommend their pad Thai, chicken satay, and the spicy pork larb! Service may not be the best but the food is good.

Diner Review №52

Diner Review №53

Diner Review №54

I pay 17.50 for noodles with duck, I haven't find more than 3 pieces of "duck" including just the skin. I loved this place when I tried the first time, but today I am disappointed 😞

Diner Review №55

Delicious food! Got veggie green curry with tofu. Friend got chicken khao soi. Shared fried tofu appetizers. Seemed to be a Thai family owned restaurant. Love creativity in some of the menu items. A gem.

Diner Review №56

Diner Review №57

A grat seafood soup!!!

Diner Review №58

Diner Review №59

Taste Kitchen is great. Everything tastes and looks super fresh. They select the best produce to serve. There's something about their ratios that really make their dishes really stand out compared to other authentic Thai restaurants. Try the duck soup and the pad prik king- my favs.
Oh, almost forgot: as someone who has been to Thailand, their coconut-sticky-rice with mango is BY FAT better than any i have ever had.

Diner Review №60

The food and service here was excellent!
Met up with my sister after work for dinner.
Everything was very Taste-y!

Diner Review №61

Diner Review №62

The orange chicken is definitely not white meat. Just leave that out of the description if it's not true - and it's definitely not. I ended up throwing away almost all of the food I bought. Don't get the reviews at all. There are much better Thai spots in the area

Diner Review №63

Pad Thai was spot on!

Diner Review №64

Diner Review №65

Diner Review №66

Diner Review №67

We ordered Crispy pork with Chinese broccoli, Duck Noodle Soup, and Large Thai Ice Tea(enough for 2 people!😁). Everything was so delicious. We will definitely come back to try something else next time.

Diner Review №68

Ordered a 17$ duck curry and got served soup. Had probably 6 small pieces of duck in it. Feels like I got ripped off. Extremely disappointed.

Diner Review №69

Great service and delicious, authentic food. We loved it!

Diner Review №70

Great curry and egg rolls will return. Not to busy around 2:30 pm.

Diner Review №71

Diner Review №72

Indy, not sure if manager or owner, did something so unexpected... I have had recent fraud on my debit card so my bank closed that account, however they activated the new replacement card on my Google pay account. I came in to make an order using that Google pay, but it was declined and I do not know why. Indy, after my 4th attempt, said you know what I will just go ahead and give you the food, you come in next time and pay. Unbelievable human compassion. This is an extraordinary gesture of kindness and trust. On top of that their chicken noodle soup is unbelievable which is why I'm here in the first place. I just want to share my experience with an extraordinary human being and yes, I have been a loyal customer here, I am now shouting from the mountain tops. It is one thing to have fantastic food, it is quite another to have incredible human spirit. Thank you Indy

Diner Review №73

Best food

Diner Review №74

Diner Review №75

Me and my friend went there last night and today. The food was delicious and not just that, the people there are very friendly and helpful too. The hot green tea and hot jasmine tea was good. You can refill the hot tea. We like this restaurant and wi go again next time.

Diner Review №76

Food was fresh, service was fast and it tasted great. I ordered the pad Thai chicken and couldn't find much chicken in the dish.

Diner Review №77

Tom Kam off the chain!

Diner Review №78

The Taste Kitchen is easy the best Thai restaurant west of Hollywood, let alone the best Thai restaurant in the Westside. But that doesn't mean you should only go when you don't want to head deal with Thai Town parking; this restaurant stands toe-to-toe with classic Thai Town standouts like Northern Thai Food Club, Jitlada, and Pa Ord Noodle. In fact, several particular dishes may surpass them. The Duck Noodle Soup is the star for me; my friend obsessed with Khow Soi swears it's the best in the city. Several locals who grew up eating Thai food or have spent significant time and money in Thailand all rave about this mom-and-pop location. But perhaps most interestingly, many of their presentations have an innovative flair and an eye for aesthetic preparation that make it a viable alternative to the much fancier (and pricier) options like Night + Market. Their pork larb is a delight; their pineapple curry is also a stand out. Even their desserts, like Lychee, Fried Bananas, Sticky Rice with Mango, and Carrot Cake surprise and are appropriate for any reasonable budget. Six stars if possible!

Diner Review №79

I called for pick up and they had the food ready fast and they even called me to let me know it was ready. Got the padseeew and it was really good! Would recommend !

Diner Review №80

Delicious food

Diner Review №81

Food was delicious also had chicken fried rice and I have to say one of the best!

Diner Review №82

This is my go to Thai place. Much better than others in the area. Also the mango sticky rice is great. Ripest mango I've ever had along w milky tasty rice.

Diner Review №83

the order took about ten minutes and the woman who took the order was helpful.

Diner Review №84

Diner Review №85

Buen lugar buena comida

Diner Review №86

Love there food

Diner Review №87

curbside pickup. ordered the ThaiBeef Salad. Medium heat. yikes !! HOT!! BUT the marinade of lime and mint would've been Soo good if I ordered Mild. also served with very tasty sauteed veggies , no rice. will try again but NO heat .

Diner Review №88

Anyone who thinks this is good Thai food has never had good Thai food. This was the biggest waste of money. The food was awful. Barely able to eat it!

Diner Review №89

I really like it. The food is great.

Diner Review №90

Diner Review №91

The Khao Soi is good!

Diner Review №96

The food is great less salt and sugar very healthy

Diner Review №97

The food was excellent

Diner Review №98

Pequeño pero bien limpio, personal muy amable y servicial

Diner Review №99

Taste Kitchen consistently has amazing food and is very well-suited to do take-out. In response to COVID, the staff is behind plexiglass during pick-up and wearing masks and gloves. Orders can be placed 100% online and you even get a free appetizer or dessert with a minimum spend. We ordered khao soi (along with fried rice for the next day) and it all tasted perfect.

Diner Review №100

The food was great and so was the service! The drunken noodles and mango sticky rice were amazing!

Diner Review №101

We had the prik king, green curry, garlic chinese broccoli. Good flavors but the portion sizes were far too small for the price.

Diner Review №102

Diner Review №103

Diner Review №104

We ordered Khao Soi and Orange shrimp special. Khao Soi had good taste but the soup seems to be more runny than what I am used to. The orange shrimp special was ok. They use small frozen cocktail shrimps and we didn't like that as much. The food portions were good size. I would go back there again if I crave for Khao Soi!

Diner Review №105

We ordered the Pad Thai chicken and Yellow Curry. The food was delicious and fast.

Diner Review №106

Delicious and very friendly service!
I always come here!

Diner Review №107

Diner Review №108

Amazing food. A little mild by Thai standards but you can always add more spice if you need your taste buds to tingle. Excellent family friendly service. Restaurant is in good safe neighborhood. Highly recommended.

Diner Review №109

Diner Review №110

Very delicious. Calamari crispy! Yum! Egg rolls.Yum! Lunch dish basil option. Yum! Thai iced coffee or tea. Yum! Pad Thai dish. Yum! Roughly $10 per dish, more or less. Good, fast, friendly service. Easy in, easy out, convenient corner.

Diner Review №119

Diner Review №120

Food was good. I had the drunken noodles. Appetizers slightly too well done. But everything was flavorful. Small gnats kept coming in from the door being open but was a cool experience. Looking forward to eating there again.

Diner Review №121

Diner Review №122

Diner Review №123

Really good, vert nice service, parking spot

Diner Review №124

Got the panang curry - about 5 pieces of chicken and the rest was just peas. No flavor and the rice was tasteless.

Diner Review №125

Awesomely quaint Thia restaurant.

Diner Review №126

太好吃了吧!咖喱,炒河粉,还有冬阴功汤都超棒!

Diner Review №127

Service was very good and attentive. Ambiance sucks. Food is fine. This is mostly a take out place with a few tables. Average prices.

It's somewhat small and really clean. I went early for lunch so it was empty. It started to fill up as I was leaving around 12:30. The server was multitasking but still attentive. I tried the green curry lunch special. It was decent but I wanted a heartier sauce. It was very light in taste and texture. It wasn't a large portion but enough for $8 bucks. It's worth a trip back. I'll try something else next time.

Best Pho in town

Diner Review №143

One of the best Thai places in LA!!!

Diner Review №144

There SO many better thai places in culver city it's not even funny. Their pad thai was dry, felt like 2 days old and made with tomato sauce?! The egg rolls are all dried wrapping and nothing inside. Reflective of the cheap motels next door i guess.

My family of five enjoyed our meal. Especially delicious was the BBQ duck noodle soup. A heaping portion shared by three. Chicken skewers were juicy, tender and accompanying peanut sauce was yummy. The week day luncheon special is a great deal for the price. Service is very attentive and friendly.

Diner Review №155

Muy buen restaurante.
Me gusto mucho.

Diner Review №156

The Best Thai place around this area. Flavors are really well balanced, tastes authentic. Food and Service is really great and prices are very reasonable too. I would highly recommend this place.

Diner Review №157

I can always count on good Pad Thai when I come here

Diner Review №158

Diner Review №159

So much Thai....No go there

Diner Review №160

Love the Tom kha soup from here as well as the daily specials. The service is always fast and polite.

Diner Review №161

I really love this place. The food is very delicous. The waiter is very generous and nice. My favorite plates of food from there is the chowmein, orange chicken, and the seafood soup. And if you are really hungry and you want your food at that moment, then this resturaunt is for you because the food comes in like 5 minites.

Diner Review №162

I recommend Tom Yum Seafood and Teriyaki Chicken. Just devine.

Diner Review №163

Pineapple fried rice is lit! So good.

Diner Review №164

Had the Tom yum noodle soup and it was amazing!!
I've had my fair share of traveling Thailand and this place is very authentic 👌

Diner Review №165

It's a really nice spot with great service

Diner Review №166

I like the food🍚🍜

Diner Review №167

We order delivery from here almost every week, and food is really tasty, but sometimes arrives late, or on a colder side.

Diner Review №168

Diner Review №169

Diner Review №170

Good experience overall.
+ I ordered Yellow Curry with Pineapple + rice = $11.60 (+ tip). The soup was good and chicken excellent.
+ Friendly staff guy who cares enough to intervene "you don't wanna have that curry with noodles"
- They charge extra for rice, which was kinda annoying. I'd rather see the full price with rice reflected in the menu than seeing the unexpected extra on the receipt. Like ... who would have the curry soup by itself?
- Their menus are a bit outdated, so ask about newer dishes
- Portion could be bigger for that price.
- Restroom could look more hygienic
- Tiny parking slot

Diner Review №171

Great khao soi. Service people are very nice too

Diner Review №172

Delicious!

Diner Review №173

Great food, nice staff and clean. I always have the seafood soup or the mixed seafood plate spicy!

Diner Review №174

Diner Review №175

I confused this with Harujuku Tap Room. Actually I don’t remember going here? Maybe they were closed?

Diner Review №176

Wonderful dishes. Great service. Highly recommend.

Diner Review №177

I had pad Thai with tofu. Tofu quality was horrible and even pad Thai did not feel fresh. Not worth it.

Diner Review №178

Overall: decent but not great!

The peanut sauce that came with the chicken satay is far too sweet. Like a dessert. The chicken was perfectly cooked though.

The Khao Soi isn’t great. Kind of tastes a bit like ramen and lacks a true Thai flavor.

Diner Review №179

Diner Review №180

Nice place goof food pretty lady all i one place!!

Diner Review №181

He portion size for dinner is ridiculously small. The food is over priced. The Thai tea is sweeter than McDonald’s sweet tea, try somewhere else, this isn’t the spot for placing a to-go order

Diner Review №182

Consistently great food and service. Best Thai around!

Diner Review №183

Excellent service and tasty food! Cute place for a first date.

Diner Review №184

Loved it ! Delicious ans great service !

Diner Review №185

One of the best Lo Mein and Spicy Fried Rice I have eaten. I feel my spice tolerance is not bad, but the spicy food here is really spicy... Loved it. I wonder what "Thai Spicy" would be like... Adventures for the future

Diner Review №186

Tasty Thai food, was excited to see the Khao Soi on the menu! The peanut sauce for the chicken satay was great. Drunken noodles were a bit saucy. A nice find!

Diner Review №191

Great little Thai restaurant, reasonably prices, good service

Diner Review №192

The food was delicious. Service was great and attentive just enough. Refilled my waters without me having to ask them to do it. Packed up our extra food for us.

Diner Review №193

The food was good the parking is a bit rough since it is part of a small area. Order the seafood soup which has a good strong lemongrass flavor.

Diner Review №194

Comida muy buena! Pero no entiendo por qué el arroz no está incluído??

Diner Review №195

This place is great but don't come here because I like it when it's not crowded.

Diner Review №196

Great place, fresh food and they can make it spicy! They make excellent khao soi noodle soup!
