I had my favorite, Mixed Seafood Drunken Noodles (pictured)! We paid our bill and stayed with their restaurant all to ourselves during their mid-afternoon closing (3pm-4:30pm). When they reopened, every seat was reserved for dinner! Apparently, they are a very popular place for dinner. I recommend 1 PM reservations and have the restaurant almost to yourself! The service is top-notch, so please tip accordingly! If you have a special occasion, choose this special place & you will not be disappointed! Kudos to the Swaddee owners and restaurant staff! Y'all ROCK!

I got red curry with chicken at a spice level 4/10. I requested no eggplant and staff kindly obliged offering a substitution vegetable instead even. My husband had vegan mixed veg w/tofu at spice level 6/10. We felt the spiciness to be on point with our requests! Rice is $2.99 to $3.25 extra, but we know this to be the case in some towns/restaurants. We completely loved our dishes and were extremely satisfied as it was all so delicious! Total was a little over $40 w/tax and worth it! Highly recommend!

Authentic, amazing Thai food. Also good pricing and great atmosphere (sit outside if you can). For apps we ordered spring rolls and dumplings. For entrees: pad Thai, cashew chicken dish, and yellow chicken curry with coconut sauce. Everything was amazing, the sticky rice with extra peanut sauce is a must!!

We took a little break from our bikes to enjoy a vegetarian lunch here on a beautiful Friday. We got Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Mixed Veggies (rice was extra $2.99 FYI) all with Tofu as the protein. Outside seating was nice and comfy. Served by the owner - what an honor, she was nice and knowledable. Fresh ingredients and tasty sauce. I especially liked the drunken noodles, I swear I could taste some tomato based sauce, which is disputed by the other family members. Nice restaurant overall.

I want to like this place as a Coronado resident, but every time I go the service is just awful. Once you’re seated they never come back to check on you again. I always end up having to go inside to ask for the bill. They don’t check in to see if you need a refill or want to order more food.

The soup was amazing and salad was perfect. The balance of flavors and textures were exactly what I expect from Thai food. We visited looking for a tasty warm soup and felt it was better than we expected. Thank you!

We went to this restaurant Saturday Oct 6th for evening meal. We are familiar with Thai cuisine and eagerly anticipated the food.
We ordered starters soup was delicious, spring rolls & chicken skewers quite nice. The had main course Penang and red curry for main which again was quite nice.
Food we enjoyed though we felt slightly expensive. Not much choice of side orders on the menu ; only boiled rice offered.
Sadly the customer service was lacking as I had to ask several times to be served we sat alone on the other side of this small establishment and felt left out. When finishing up we weren’t asked if we wanted anything further just came with bill - only to query why I hadn’t tipped !!
Maybe our experience is a one off, maybe I it’s because we were from the UK ( not American). We have travelled and dined extensively all over the world and very much look forward to dining out, sadly on this occasion we left after only 40 mins

Hoa Mok is delicious just be careful of the spice heat you order. I asked for 7 on the 3 to 10 scale and was at my high limit. Next time I'll order 5. My wife ordered Chicken Pad Thai with extra peanut sauce, excellent. We also had very good hot saki.

The Chicken Pad Thai was sweet and bland like ketchup and I'd say some of the worst I have had from a restaurant . The fried rice was okay but not for $16. Would have given two stars but while the food wasn't good, it was ready fast.

We wandered in at about 7pm for dinner one night and were easily greeted and sat almost immediately. It's small, but well decorated and is a classy spot.

Staff were super attentive and friendly and all our food was out quickly.

I had an unsweet iced Thai tea (large and delicious) and we got steamed dumplings, duck, and chicken Pad Thai.

One of the best servings of Pad Thai I've ever had! All the food was wonderful, including the dumplings. Hubs loved his duck and nearly cleaned his plate (rare for him).

They have a charming patio but it was too cold on the December night we visited.

Happily a new fav in Coronado for dinner. Run, don't walk!

Server was super friendly BUT she did not ask what spice level we wanted and then did not put any to go condiments in the bag. She also of forgot the extra peanut sauce we paid. Lesson learned -always check your takeout order before leaving the restaurant.

Great location, atmosphere, presentation, and service--but food just wasn't good. Ordered yellow curry. Usually not too hot, but this was hot. And no potatoes. It had pineapple instead. Also ordered Paradise noodles. Menu said egg noodles, but they were ramen noodles. And the chicken tasted like it was three days old. Can't go back. Food is not good. Cardboard straws are a joke.

Thai food can be a bit "hit or miss", Swadee Thai was a HIT. I really enjoyed the Tom Yum soup and the Duck salad! This place is a bit of a "locals hangout" (a good sign) and the staff seems to know most of their customers (except the tourists). This place is a bit cramped, but what isn't in Coronado? There's plenty of outside seating where diners can take on the casual atmosphere of Coronado's streets. Atmosphere is okay, they do they're best with the space. Wine and beer list is "so-so", Come for the food...

My boyfriend and I stopped in to grab dinner and we got a table right outside their front windows to their entrance. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our waitress to come and take our order which I understood is normal with a busy full house. I ordered the som tum (papaya salad) and it had no flavor at all. It didn’t taste horrible but it also didn’t taste good.. was just kind of like bleh. My boyfriend who is Thai and continues to seem to only want to eat Thai food ordered the duck larb. They brought him the wrong dish and we had to wait 15 minutes to flag someone down from inside to tell them. The lady who we told did not even apologize. They brought back his actual plate about 10 minutes later. He could tell they just reused the duck from the previous wrong dish that they had brought him. He gave the duck larb a 4 out of 10 in flavor.

Once he finished his food we then again realized that our waitress still had not stopped by even once to check on us. We asked the lady who was bussing the outside tables if she could ask our waitress for our check. Ten minutes later we got our check and of course I left no tip because of their very poor customer service.

Do not come here! Drive down the strand and visit our favorite place Siam Kitchen! So much better and the staff is so friendly and attentive. My boyfriend swears it’s the closest restaurant that reminds him of food back from home.

Food was really good. It came out hot and fresh and was comparable to food in Thailand down to the spices. The price was good for the amount of food received. There are Ala Carte items on the menu along with fresh seafood "at market price". Would definitely go again and recommend it for those seeking quality Thai food and drinks. Outdoor seating with heaters as well.

My husband, toddler and I, came for dinner with another family with 2 young children. The staff were very accommodating and kind.

Swaddee is by far the best Thai restaurant in San Diego. Delicious food, outstanding service at great prices. We have been coming to Swaddee for over 15 years and the food is consistently delicious.

BEWARE of Paying Cash ,,, I have been multiple times here , but last time this month Dec/2022 I paid cash $$
And one of my family members came as we were leaving and sat at another table.

by the time they got their check, they were forced to Pay for our table too ? Saying we left without paying ? WHAT a Lie ! And my friend handed $100 Cash towards the other table , in addition We left $144 CASH tip included, and one of the servers picked it before we left ( are they trying to keep $$ from the owner ?)

that means they got $144 paid cash from us plus $100 advance inviting their family on the other table that’s $244 ,, and they charge our bill to his CC ?? We’ll NEVER GO BACK !!!

Came to Coronado from Chula Vista. Eaten at many thai restaurants across the states, Hawaii, Chicago, all over San Diego, etc. This is one of the best next to Champ Thai on Oahu. Can taste the grilled beef in the pad see ew, the duck is tender and juicy. We eat panang, papaya salad, and pad see ew at every thai place we go to, as well as sticky rice, and theirs is all fantastic. Really enjoyed this meal, and we had ours to-go, which we ate at least an hour later. Still fantastic. Amazing job folks, please patron this wonderful restaurant.

Great service, the food is good but the taste is not as traditional as we always look for in this type of places, if you are in Coronado as a tourist, definitely recommended is much better then other tourist oriented places.

Such a cute little Thai place, very authentic and yum. We came 7ish it was busy but we got great service was on point. It was busy but our food came out in a timely manner. Everything we ordered was on point the only issue we had was the duck dish. It was a bit over cooked. But besides that everything was amazing. The curry was on point so creamy and flavorful. Drunken noodles mmmmmm amazing. Definitely need to stop in and try it out. Everything seems to be home made and fresh.

One of the WORST meals I have had in Coronado! Service is slow, not understanding. All vegetables are taken from frozen sacks! In one of the most expensive seafood meals you get 2 shrimp and 2 mussels! Never going to dine here again!

We were just exploring Coronado and looked up for some place to eat. We found this thai restaurant so we headed towards it. I loved the spicy drunken noodles and their thai tea. That spicy fried rice was good too but preferred the noodles more. Was disappointed with their chicken satey which was our starter.
What I liked the most was their ambience.

We loved our lunch here. We ordered red curry with chicken & had a #5 for the spicey level. Then, we ordered Pad Thai. We loved both! #5 is a pretty spicey level if you don’t like heat. We also ordered a shrimp appetizer. We would pass on the appetizer next time. It wasn’t too great but our entrees were amazing. The Pad Thai has a very delicious flavor & was perfect with shrimp. The restaurant is beautiful & clean.

We found this gem while walking around town. After arriving at the location we originally had a reservation for dinner, while waiting to be seated..and waiter…and continued to wait, the words “orrr we could do Thai” was suggested and we walked back over there, and it was the greatest decision made. The staff was wonderful and the food was absolutely amazing. The Pad Se Ew and Paradise Noodles absolutely to die for!!! I wish they could deliver the 2+ hours to where we live. I hope we find a way to return.

Came by on a Thursday evening to meet up with relatives. It was mostly empty when we arrived but got busy as the night progressed. If needed they do accept reservations. We all shared the dumplings and egg rolls which I thought were tasty. Ended up getting myself a chicken pad thai. Spice level wasn't asked so it ended up mild. Not sure if it can be changed, but I didn't mind. It had a sweet taste which I liked but if it is not how you prefer it probably best to get something else. Waiters were tentative and friendly.

Smaller portions and they charge you extra for rice with entrees! Rice maybe costs 20 cents and they cannot include it. Had to send back the steak salad. Steak way overcooked and too salty to eat. Had Panang curry which was skimpy and meh tasting. Very sad downturn.

This is a great Thai spot. The owner/manager is extremely kind and works hard to please his customers. The food is great, I love the chicken pad Thai. They can do gluten free no problem. I think 4.6 is a more accurate rating than the current 4.3.

The price point was awesome as it felt like more of a fine dining experience beautiful plants were in abundance.We had the spring rolls, green curry chicken, and spicy tofu. Everything was delicious. Make sure to ask for the Thai spices if you like things hot!

The food and service was incredible! I love Thai tea and struggle to find a restaurant that serves good authentic Thai tea. I LOVE it so much I bought another one for ride home...IT’S THAT GOOD. Definitely try the drunken noodles or the pad thai they’re amazing! The portions are good to share or good for one person depending on how hungry you are. The owner was super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Our waitors name was vip he was incredible super polite recommended us the best food options all his choices were delicious. He was funny and made our dining experience fun. We came here on a Wed evening. Lots of place available. Got seated at a booth, which was lovely. We ordered the Tom kar chicken soup, the poh tak seafood soup, red curry with white rice and drunken noodles.

The soup was beautiful. They added spicy chilli and peppers which was nice touch. The seafood soup was also very good. My brother took the whole lot to himself as his meal and still couldn't finish it. I tried the broth of it and it was pretty tasty. My parents LOVED the red curry. They ordered a spice level 3/10 and thought it was spicy enough for them. My drunken noodles were really tasty. I ordered a spice level of 7/10 and it was appropriately spicy for me. We also got a Thai tea which my dad said was good.

I came across Swaddee by chance while walking the streets around Hotel Del. The restaurant decor is real nice, representative of Thai art and foliage. The servers are dressed in traditional garb and friendly. Bathrooms are super clean, a big plus. Prices are very reasonable and service very good. The menu is pretty much what ever Thai restaurant offers - salads, soups, starters and entrees ranging from stir fry dishes to curries with one's choice of meat or tofu. Food was just delicious. It was freshly prepared and the spice level was optimized to our unique palettes. Will visit again when in Coronado. If you feel the urge to cool off after the Thai meal, walk right next door to Nado Gelato, another great hangout place.

You may try this place for dinner after seeing the Sunset at Colorado beach. Service & food is satisfactory.

Had dinner here late one night and what a sweet little shop. The chef had some unique dishes, and we chose a great rolled appetizer. I wish I had more!

Food is decent. Customer service is HORRIBLE! Seems that Owner is the waitress. She told my friend that she has no time to wait for her order and she will be back in 5 minutes and she better know what to order. She was super rude at all times. she told me and my friends that if we have any complaints to go on Facebook and write them down and that she has no time for any complaints. Super super rude. I’ll no longer go there. Hopefully someone opens a Thai in the island soon!

The best Thai food in Town .. been living for so many year in Thailand and the pad Thai is just amazing , Tasna , the owner , is amazing .

This is a wonderful place. Its unassuming from the outside, I even passed it at first looking for it. The food is amazing. I ordered the Tom Kar soup (shrimp, hot pot) along with the spring rolls and fresh rolls (shrimp). All were excellent. The inside is very inviting and comfortable, but on this day I had to take it to go. Service was quick and the prices are more than fair.

Caught this place with some friends after Lamb's players. I had the crispy duck with a red curry dressing... So good! Very friendly service too.

Lovely setting and delicious selections. The Tom Yum soup is always delicious and i recommend the Paradise noodles and drunken noodles.

All of our dishes were a bit too sweet - I expect Thai food to be bursting with flavor but this restaurant disappoints.

We had a party of seven. They were quick to accommodate. The waitress was very nice and attentive. We had various dishes...Spring Rolls, Sumer Rolls, Chicken Pad Thai Noodles, Tom Kar soup and another set of noodles. All dishes were quite tasty and portions were good. They accommodated our birthday cake that we brought with dishes and silverware for the occasion. The entire staff was quite friendly and we will definitely be returning. Thank you!
