Authentic Thai & Japanese Cuisine Located In Canoga Park
Pink Elephant, in my honest opinion, is by far–the best thai restaurant in the valley. It's a cute little restaurant on the side of Sherman Way with a big sign (you can't miss it). I go here all the time and the owners are LOVELY. I love them so much and every time I order, they never miss. My vegetarian grandma is the pickiest lady on earth and this is the only restaurant she likes.
Unfortunately, they do take out only but honestly it's so worth. I strongly recommend trying this place out.
We had to pivot and buy dinner in a rush and thank god for pink elephant! The food was ready quickly and the prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. Best of all it was delicious! Plenty of parking on Sherman Way at meters. The owner was very nice and you can tell they care about their food, not rushing you out the door. Takeout only. Definitely going back!
Very disappointing. Tough, gummy noodles. Pungent, grey eggs. Vegetables were either obviously frozen or shriveled up and drenched in oil. Peanut sauce was so watery you could drink it.
We got takeout having read all of the good reviews- ordered a Pra Ram, Pad See Ew, Red Curry, and Spicy Eggplant. These are our favorite Thai staples, and we’ve eaten at plenty of Thai restaurants in the Valley and in Thailand. So we knew what to expect from this cuisine. Pink Elephant was something else. The staff are friendly and this did seem like a nice, genuine business, but we enjoyed NONE of their food. ZERO.
I absolutely love it here! I feel welcomed and appreciated every time I walk through the door & I’m on a mission to keep this restaurant open! The food is great, decently priced, and friend joyful service. The owners are considering retiring soon but I’m hoping they are able to find a away to keep their doors open! They’ve built a lovely brand and have earned my respect!
Excellent food on a busy section of Sherman Way. They do not seat customers. It's "to go". I am not sure when they will seat.

Take out only. Tiny hole in the wall. It’s Thai / Japanese menu. It’s just ok. Nothing special .
My absolute FAVORITE Thai place!
-Update Years Later: STILL OBSESSED, and will always go to pink elephant for my Thai food. I wish I had pictures but I immediately devour my food hahaha!
Take out only.
Good Tom Yum soup!
Best Thai food in the valley
Wholeheartedly endorse their noodle dishes and order them often. Pad See Ew is our favorite. IMHO curry is not their strong point.
I order the yellow curry. When it arrived the potatoes and carrots were raw. The least they could have done is cook the food. Overpriced inedible food.
I’ve been here a few times and the food was savory and delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Don’t forget to put quarters on the parking meter! If you’re going to dine in.

Worst curry I’ve ever had
Love this place! Always stop for the Curry.
If you like home style Thai food at a reasonable price… this is the place to go
No specific recommendations, all items are awesome
Amazing food, service and quantity!!!

Always fresh and flavorful.
Spicy Spicy
This is a Canoga park staple. You can never go wrong here. The staff is extremely friendly and the prices for the food is amazing! The lady working there knows my order every-time I call that’s how often I’m there. I’ve been eating here since I was like 6 years old hahaha. My order every-time is the spicy beef salad, yellow curry, mango sticky rice, and a large Thai tea!!! Best things on the menu trust me!
The best Thai restaurant in Canoga park and surrounding areas!!
I have tried so many Thai restaurants. And this is my final stop. They always go above and beyond to make it the way I like for my thai dishes. I love that they dont put MSG and food is not salty. My favorite is glass noodle salad, Spicy basil chicken fried rice, Rad Nah chicken and Seafood coconut soup. Their price is very reasonable compared to the quality their deliver. I encourage anyone to try.
Eh... I feel bad and torn. On the plus side, the quality of the sauces here is actually pretty good. As an example, the veggies in my Spicy Basil (with Beef) dish were fresh. The bell pepper was crisp and the sauce wasn't inundated with oil or salt. I could see fresh Thai Red Chili chopped in the sauce along with some ginger. Well made. On the downside, the jasmine rice is ok but either it's the quality of the rice used or something else...but it does not taste particularly fresh. More importantly, the meats (chicken, beef...no pork offered) taste straight out of the freezer and come across as dry and flavorless. Ex. The Chicken satay smells of the microwave and freezer. If they'd use fresh meat in their prep, this place would be a step up in taste and quality.
The owner (?) who I've occasionally seen is very polite and attentive. The other staff are generally friendly and well meaning, but I've had a few mistakes made with orders in the past. Prices are quite reasonable. Currently everything is take away only.
Delicious and spicy. If spicy is not your thing choose the least spicy option.
Everything about the order was good. Food was ready by the time I reached, order was accurate. However taste wasn’t really special. Have had better Thai food from other places. Looked like a small business and I’m sure they can use any business coming their way.
Great food I like it you know come down check it out
Went there for Thanksgiving because they were one of the only places open- very much so satisfied! The food was amazing, the portions good, and it's ridiculously cheap. The gentlemen who work there are also very kind. :) Will be returning!
I have had food here since long. Food is good but their service is a JOKE. Last time i did an online order the delivery guy named Jim behaved so rude and just kept the food on the floor and left. He was very abusive.
When i called their manager to report the issue they gave the call to this delivery guy again. This guy serves food also in the restaurant and behaves the same way. Last time i asked him for water he never acknowledged.I referred this restaurant to many ppl but not anymore.
Never going there again!!!!!!! AVOID by all means if you want to have pleasant experience.
Between delivery fee of 6.99, various other fees including sales tax, I spent more on those than my food!!
Excellent!!!!!! I have eaten lots of Thai food but this is by far the best I’ve ever had !!! Highly recommend!!! Everything taste delicious...
This place is AWESOME! I ordered the Drunken Spaghetti and it was so good I ordered the orange chicken w/ fried rice to go on the way out!
We've been going here since it opened. It's pretty average, but most of the Thai food in the West Valley isn't very good. The problem is the ever increasing price and the ever shrinking portions. It's now $13 for pad thai and a CAN of Coke.
I like the tom yum soup and yea the meals are good I would have to know what to choose on the menu.
Food is average. Nothing to really write about. BUT I do have a gripe about Thai restaurants in general. That gripe is how stingy they are with servings. With the exception of the BEST THAI restaurant in LA which is PALM THAI in Hollywood, most dishes you get at Thai restaurants skimp on the meats added. I ordered Red Curry dish here at Pink Elephant with shrimp. Now I'm not expecting an abundance of shrimp but only 5 shrimp?! And the 40-60 count size to top it off. So if you're sharing this dish, as I did with my wife, I offer her 3 shrimp and I take the last 2. C'mon that's not right. BUT what WAS aplenty was peas. Call it Pea curry if you're gonna load the entire dish with it. And you know I had to pay extra for the shrimp and that's what makes it more egregious. Other than that, the pad Thai was decent, average. Will I go back...maybe. But I really wish I could find a decent Thai restaurant in the valley that serves really good food without costing a week's paycheck.
Delicious food and Amazing service.
Great Thai food. Love the drunken noodles.
Freshly cooked
Very friendly
Great value. Freshly cooked food, delicious food.
Great food, pleasant restaurant.
So fresh and yummy.
just a reguler thai place nothing special
Thai coffee is off the chain! 😛😛👍🏻👍🏻
I've always been a returning customer, but after a couple nights ago ordering from them and finding something that was not suppose to be there...I called and ask for a full refund...
First of all, the lady over the phone had a hard time understand or there was a language barrier....Phone was handed over to the gentleman and he kindly apologized and returned our money with no trouble. Walking in to do the exchange the kitchen staff and the lady in the front looked mad and just starred us down...
Sadly, I wont be returning here and take my business elsewhere...
Great customer service 👍 The food is pretty good as well.
Yummmy yummy pad thai! I am VERY picky with Thai food and I am so satisfied every time I eat here! It’s quick for takeout or dine in and I always get a half shrimp half tofu pad Thai and sometimes a Thai tea!!! A must stop spot, also try the fried bananas!!
Best Pineapple fried rice in the world!!! So many memories!!!
Called to order to go and the prices were 30% higher than their menu on-line she said they haven't up dated it in a long time that's very misleading as I thought my order was $22 and ended up being $30 ,I think they leave the on-line menu low on purpose and when you arrive your bill is 30% more --I wont return based on that alone and the food is just average anyways ! Not a good value for their inflated price rigging ----
Decent food. Friendly staff. Nothing special.
Yellow curry, very good. Friendly staff and clean bathroom
My all time favorite thai restaurant, authentic, fresh ingredients, good portions at reasonable prices
Noodles are a bit thicker for my taste, not cooked completely, and were bland. Spice blend was just peppers. Thats it. I like spicy food, but I have red pepper flakes in my own kitchen cabinet. I come to a restaurant to have something better than that made for me. Too basic, too bland, and they even forgot our other party member's meal and tried to act like it was no big deal. Never coming back.
Go for the pa Thai, very good, I can’t spell it
Good value and quality. I had the Drunken / noodle or Pad Kee May - real good and sold portion.
Tasty and reasonably priced.
It's a whole in wall place. But the food is great and they are super friendly. Will come back again :)
Always good quality food. Not a fan of the tempura but their healthy options are great!
Great tasting food! Not so clean
My favorite place to eat.
Very good portions and fast service! Cute atmosphere and food was phenomenal! Got the Pad See Ew and it was AMAZING! 😋🤤
Omg. The food here is unbelievable. It's this really cute tiny placeThey are the reason Thai food is my favorite. Their CURRY? Heavenly. I always get their crab fried rice and pad see ew. I tried the drunken noodle today and it was amazing. I literally come here at least twice a week. Talk about addiction. And now I'm going to spread the word to yelp!
Great place to get together with friends
Quick and inexpensive.
This is a decent place to get some pad Thai and Tom yum soup. I've never tried the stuff on the b Japanese half of the menu. The service is quick and friendly, and you can get things for a decent price. Overall not bad if you are craving takeout.
The food taste great
I usually order the spicy beef salad and it's quite spicy with plenty of grilled beef. I also love the mango sticky rice dessert. It's a good sized portion enough to share or eat it all yourself.
Always consistently good and friendly. We love supporting this small business. Spicy on dishes means spicy!
Great food great price. My belly is happy.
Deliscious! Ordered the shrimp pad thai and shrimp pad see ew. The pad see ew was excellent as was the price!! I like my pad thai a bit on the sweeter-side, overall a great meal! Fast, super fast service, nice vibe and that is when it dawned on me...I had my very first taste of Chinese food at this address way back in the 60s when it was called Lem's. My family ate here consistently through the 60s and 70s. #nostalgic
Food is basic. Service is not very good... Had to eat with a toddler in lap because they said they didn't have any child seats only to find them outside the bathroom at the end of the meal.
Love the Thai Suki! Ever since I moved away from the valley, I crave it everyday!
Rad Na and yellow curry are the best
the best Thai Food in the Canoga Park. Love Pink Elephant.
Food coma
Honestly omg you just have to come and try it. I love getting pad thai if I crave noodles if I want soup to Kah soup with a side of fried rice and just do the rive in the soup omg yes please. Great place good luck finding parking honestly parking sucks:(
Oh man, i gotta say this thai place is Legit. My friends and i order lunches from them all the time and i love their pad thai dish! My buddy likes their coconut soup and Ive been recommending them to everyone! Im actually craving some more of their thai right now. Place deserves five star from me...Im hooked!
I don't think you can ever go wrong with Pad See Ew. It certainly my favorite Thai dish and I haven't really gone to a place that completely muddled it up.
But this place is really chill, wasn't too crowded. Service was friendly and fast. And of course the food was tasty.
It's pretty inexpensive but besides that, nothing was really awe inspiring.
I would go back if I was in the neighborhood as it seems like the perfect little go-to when you're hungry, want good food and not have to pay an arm and a leg.
The food is great, prices are reasonable.. I love Pink Elephant!!
Good stuff! For the area, this place is a gem.
this place is absolutely the best
Very good food! Nice and friendly people . Clean too :-)
By far the best Thai Food in the Valley. The Panang Curry is just the right side of spicy and the Thai Ice Tea is awesome.
The food here is really good. I am in love with the chicken pad see ew and the spicy shrimp salad. They also have delivery.
