We had an amazing dinner at Thai Basil Express in Springdale. We were so excited when we heard that Thai Basil would be coming down from Bentonville (same owners).

My wife ordered the red curry (our personal favorite) with 1 spice and it was so so good. I ordered the chicken pad thai and it’s amazing too. The summer rolls are also our favorite appetizer.

The staff was wonderful and super sweet to our kids. Looking forward to coming back again!

We also had spring rolls, and my spouse had pad Thai. I want to try everything on the menu. Excellent service and the price is right. The portion sizes are also pretty big! One entree could probably be shared.

So delicious we got a little sushi, crab Rangoon, orange chicken, green curry, drunken noodle and Thai tea! All great and atmosphere and staff so friendly and inviting! However 1 star is like 3 and 3 is like 5 so don’t get Thai hot you’ll die! Lol

Apparently there is no shortage of good Thai food in Springdale. This place is simply amazing, and asking for a medium heat actually gets you some heat. Eat here tonight.

UPDATE: THE REVIEW I LEFT WAS FOR PATTAYA THAI, NOT FOR THE NEW RESTAURANT THAT PURCHASED IT. I am surprised they got to co-opt another business's reviews.
NEW REVIEW: I can't imagine why they would change the delicious recipes, but they did, and the curries do not taste the same. I'm glad they gave it a much needed make-over inside but the curries used to taste creamy and delicious and now they taste like dirt. I don't know anything about cooking so I don't know what spices they changed, but we ordered three curries as a test of the new ownership, and didn't like any. PLEASE go back to the curry recipes that were used before!!! They were perfection and we won't keep coming for this new curry.

PATTAYA:
This is truly the best curry we have had anywhere. It is authentic, delicious and addictive! We order takeout in all the curry flavors and love them all. Never a bad meal in 8 years and we eat here regularly. We don't eat inside because it's unpleasant. I wish they would remodel.

Absolutely phenomenal food, great service and the husband and wife that work there are so sweet and genuine. Definitely recommend this place. Would be 5 stars but like many places that are not specifically sushi restaurants the sushi rolls are massive and that makes it difficult to eat. The Thai food we had was amazing though. They are so proud of their renovation project and you can tell they take pride in their food and service aswell.

I placed a order to go over the phone. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes. It took 40 minutes to be ready. They also changed the recipe for the fried rice and it's no where close to as good as it was when it was Pattaya. I won't be back.

On a whim, I decided to stop in here for some healthy food. To my surprise, this business already operates in Bentonville and now they are in Springdale. I'm glad they are...my dinner is phenomenal, the service was delightful and it wasn't outrageously priced. I will definitely be back to dine in.

Thai Basil Express BEST dining experience i've had in a long time! Service was exceptional! Food was delicious! I tried level 3 Spicy Mango Fried Rice with Shrimp & Tofu & my boyfriend had the Chicken Pad Thai. I recommend the Matcha Green tea for all Matcha lovers, it was so delicious i wanted seconds!! They definitely surpassed our expectations!! So many amazing options to choose from... We can't wait to go back for the $11.95 Bento Boxes & Happy Hour Cocktails!!

Won’t be back. They promised they would keep the Pataya sweet biscuits, but they removed them from the menu and changed it completely. So disappointed my favorite place was taken over by another company.

The Pad Thai is the best around!! Very tasty, large portions, great prices! The Thai Basil fried rice is now my new favorite as well! JUST BECAME MY NEW SPOT! ✨️♥️ The complimentary cream cheese Rangoon are the icing on the cake! So good!

Plus the food is pretty great, the entrees are affordable and the portions are huge, they now serve you in a bento style tray that includes crab Rangoon's and the soup of the day free! Panang curry was great! Crab rangoons were delicious. I wasn't a fan of the Philly roll. Love that they have a drive thru. Will definitely be back!

Consistently high-quality food served in a pleasant environment, and a great value as well. Highly recommended.

Takeout was meh 3/5- pad see ee and Panang curry with meat over cooked/dry. They also failed to include over 1/3 of our order. They acknowledged this, but some difficulty in getting refund. Not convenient because we needed the food and their solution was to come get it 30 mins later.

Update: 2-3 weeks later and they still have not refunded our card for the missing entree.

Update: I called again and they now told me that they cannot refund the credit card and I have to come in person. It is 30 mins away from my house so that is very inconvenient.

Food was not at all what we expected and of poor quality. The service was horrible they rushed us from the moment we sat down from asking us if we were ready to order 3 times within 5 minutes to asking us repeatedly if we were finished and ready to go. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I’ve been eating at pattaya for years and I usually love it, with this being said,
Last night was different they were training a new staff member and I saw one of the ladies( older lady, usually makes sushi) who has worked there for years yelling at the young girl they were training, I also had a friend go in with her family a couple hours later and she said that it was the same she was yelling at her, she was very impatient with her, and gritting her teeth with her, I felt so bad for the girl it made me feel so uncomfortable and I won’t be returning here after seeing her behavior, if I could give less than 1 star I would for service!!!

To this day I haven’t found better pad Thai in any city I’ve traveled to (their pad Thai is thick and saucy not dry and flat like other Thai places).

Every single thing I’ve eaten here has always been good. Drunken Noodles, Pad See Iew, their sushi is probably the top 2/3 in northwest Arkansas (good for land locked state). All their curries are on point with the flavor.

I could go on and on and on. Best Thai restaurant in NWA and it isn’t close.

Only points you can dock it are maybe related to service and atmosphere. As far as price and flavor? You should spend your money here if food quality is your priority.

Best Tom kah soup I've ever had!

We ordered the Thai Tea, Stir Fried Basil with Chicken (#33) and an order of egg rolls (4pieces) Let me just say that I’ve moved to Little Rock from Fayetteville and whenever I’m in town and think of something I can’t get in LR this is the first place that I think of. I love the food and the people are so kind. I relocated 1 year ago and this place still hits the spot.

I've been waiting at the window for about 15 minutes at this rate. Not a single person has came and let me know that it's gonna be a second. They have made eye contact with me and even pointed at me but still no service. I know they are busy, but I do see some workers just standing talking to another worker. I would appreciate some communication that it's gonna be a second. Not even that really busy.

The house soup never fails, the overall service is impeccable, and the food is just amazing. Servings are perfect for lunch and the place is a great small place for friends and family to enjoy!

Pattaya is a Springdale-fave! We’ve dined here for years and never been disappointed. My personal favorite is Red Curry with Chicken. Warm, delicious veggies, and the spice is always just right. We’ve also ordered: Chicken Fried Rice and Cashew Chicken - both are great! The bubble tea with boba is another personal favorite!

I love this place. I’ve traveled to Thailand quite a bit, and this place definitely has authentic cuisine. The service is great - everyone is super friendly and the matron is hilarious. The atmosphere is just as would be expected for a Thai restaurant in Arkansas - nothing fancy but cute and clean. There are some Thai restaurants that do certain dishes better, but Pattaya has hands down the best papaya salad and their Tom Kha is also some of the best I’ve had in the area. Their curries are great. I live nearby so I’m here a lot and I love it. I admittedly haven’t had any of their sushi, but that’s not why I come here.

I’m sad my favorite place for drunken noodles they didn’t even ask level of spice so I assumed it would be ok spicy no spice at all . That’s what the dish is ! Felt rushed throughout the whole time that I ordered.

Food was good but we probably won't return.

We arrived around 820 (they close at 9) and ordered our food very quickly as we pretty much new what we wanted or food arrive by 840 but was very hot (that's not a badge that thing) we were still trying to finish our spring rolls when one of the lady's came over and started clearing our table I told her I wasn't done with the peanut sauce she then looked at me and pointed to the clock and said time to go home and continued to removed the food I was trying to eat from the table. I understand they close at 9 but I was almost done maybe had 3bites left and when she said this it was only 853, And it was literally only 901 when we got in our car, after having to box our food and pay And to me that's very rude and unprofessional to basically tell me to get out and not allow me to finish the food I'm eating and paying for.

My wife and I went there a couple days ago my very first visit I was beyond extremely impressed I think a five-star breaking in a situation is very low I would give them a 10 saw some past posts about a negative situation with a former owner by again former owner the new owner is female and she is incredible her and had a couple others that are originally from Thailand do all the cooking and their food is absolutely amazing trust me you do want to go here if you want to experience Thailand food and the portions I say more than outweigh the costs this lady is one like myself I wouldn't serve it if I would need it and you get huge portions for the money I'm telling you you need to go give it a shot you won't regret it Teresa you did a great job serving me and my wife hope to see you again soon as a matter of fact my family and I plan on coming back tonight hopefully you'll be there

I order over the phone, too, for in-person pickup all the time and the food is consistently fantastic. They may be understaffed at times, but the food is great—especially the panang curry.

Ordered Pad Thai, Drunken noodles, and crab Rangoons for my two sons through Uber eats. They were very happy with everything.

This is one of my shops favorite places to come eat after work. We always get great, friendly service - the women are so kind. The food is worth any wait you might have, and the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get! Always have leftovers.

Dine-in service is a bit stale (sometimes) but somehow the great food, and everyone else there, make up for it. Oh, and my kid demands grub from here almost weekly.
