I got medium spice with the Savory Ocean Special and it was just how I like it - a slight kick - but not overbearing heat. The service was also great. They do not take reservations for parties of less than 4 people - but we only had a 10 minute wait at 7pm on a Thursday. My only criticism is that the dining room was noisy and the parking lot has no lights.

3.5 out of 5. Service was mediocre but owner/manager was attentive. Appetizers were pretty good. Tom yum soup was only decent. Entree (Thai basil beef) came out lukewarm and returned it for a fresh order. Second order came out hot and I was satisfied with the flavor. Overall.. experience was okay. Not great but not terrible.

Best Thai restaurant in town! I'm a local, and I've eaten here 50 times. Thai Spices is my favorite restaurant in all of Sedona. The food is fresh every time. The owner, Pearl, is known for her love of healthy, organic food. My favorite dish is #30, red curry with chicken; it's the best Thai I've had anywhere. This is the best of the 3 Thai restaurants in Sedona, in my opinion. All the food we ordered was delicious. I got the fish curry. There were lots of veggies in it too. Spicy and rich. My friends were not in love with the cocktails but everyone loved the food. The servers were very nice.

Just fyi if you’re doing takeout they add a 10 % charge and don’t bother to tell you. As a local I will not be supporting them anymore. 27 years I’ve worked in restaurants and transparency and honesty builds business and loyalty

Pretty good Thai food for being such a small town. The portions are decent and food is fresh.

The food was great. Both my wife abd and I loved it. Food was delivered fast and fresh.

My daughter and I had the pad Thai with chicken and the green vegetable curry. Best Thai food we’ve ever had we could not stop eating. My 8 year old daughter might have ate more than me and could not stop raving about she actually still is saying how she loved it not just liked it. It was definitely worth the wait and we would do it again and highly recommend.

Me and 3 other friends had lunch here. We ordered Tom Yum Soup, Coconut Soup, Duck curry, Pad See-ew. The soup was mediocre, too watery, same with the curry. The overall taste is acceptable for its price but nothing close to authentic Thai. What surprised us the most was that they charge 18% “large party gratuity” for groups of 4 and more, which I’ve never seen at other restaurants, it’s usually group of 6 and more. The waiter was polite but the experience was not very satisfactory.

Excellent hot dishes and perfect casual atmosphere to celebrate after long hikes with friends. No reservation required.

Great Thai restaurant & tasty food

I love this place! I come here regularly. I have had pad se ew, Tom yum, fried rice, pad Thai, green curry, spring rolls, several items on the menu and everything has been great! It’s clean. It’s quaint. The service is good. The only downside is they can get super busy… which only gives them more credit. If you want delicious traditional Thai food, this is the spot. Organic and clean ingredients.

We took our food to go, so I cannot comment on the service or atmosphere. However the cashier was very nice. As for the food, it was just ok. Definitely not enough flavor. Chicken Pad Thai was just so, so. It was bland and so was the chicken. The Tom Kah soup was flavorful, but give that it was 90% opinions, it should have been called onion soup. More chicken, carrots and mushrooms were needed!! The egg rolls were just ok. All in all, we were expecting much more from an "award winning" restaurant.

The tom yum soup was not very good, the main meals were decent enough, but a little disappointing. I’ve been to Thailand a few times and many great Thai restaurants in North America and this was my least favourite. It was on the pricey side and myself and my wife both had a bad stomach later that night. I would not recommend this place at all.

Excellent thai food!

This is the only Thai restaurant in town so we were skeptical, but wanted something other than American and Mexican, so we decided to give it a try and we are so glad we did! The shrimp pad Thai was the best I’ve had in a long time. The sweet and sour chicken was so good. The ginger piña colada chicken was also very good (runny broth, not thick like I imagined, but such good flavor). My son had the shrimp fried rice and liked it. The Tom yum soup was excellent. All the dishes had lots of vegetables. Prices were also very reasonable compared to other restaurants in Sedona.

Used to love the food here but the last few times were not great. Not sure what changed. We prefer the other Thai place in town.

This restaurant was recommended to us, so we thought we’d give it a try. We are from Minneapolis which has a large Vietnamese population,so perhaps we are a bit spoiled. But we were disappointed with our meal. The egg rolls were more cabbage than anything else. The Pad Thai was quite good, but very little chicken. The special seafood entree was not overly flavorful. We requested mild spice and there was not heat to it. On top of that, out glasses of wine could not have been more than 5 ounces.

All the ingredients were fresh and not overcooked. Meats were tender.

Despite a few negative reviews, my husband and I decided to try dinner here. So very glad we did!! My curry was excellent, full of fresh ingredients and perfectly spiced for medium hot. Husband asked for Thai hot and also said his meal was great too. Wait staff was attentive and friendly with answers to questions. Food arrived very quickly. Next time we visit Sedona we will definitely dine here again.

Ordered taked out. No utensils, no napkins. Not a big deal. Soup was watered down i added a lime at the hotel and it was somewhat ok. We also ordered miso garlic dish. No miso flavor, zero garlic 100 percent tasteless. The fresh roll wrap was dried veggies No flavor. If you want bland food this is it. Zero out of 10. Worst $40ish money I've ever spent.

Stayed a night in Sedona and heard this was good. Flavor was good, soup a little watered down, two of four shrimp I had were not deveined (poop pipeline), no refill, staff likes to hangout in the kitchen and be more loud than customers. I 100% know that my hat was left behind while being there and they claimed it was not (Navy blue fitted dysfunctional veteran hat). Will not return for dine in or delivery if option. The can sprite was great though.

It is intimate and affordable compared to most places in West Sedona, AZ and the service and food was excellent. I had the sweet and sour with chicken as the protein, it was visually appealing as well as having a wonderful variety of flavor.

Only a few options for Thai in Sedona so we decided to give this restaurant a try ! I ordered a tom yum soup and pad kee mao with beef. Tom yum soup had good flavors and decent amount of veggies but tasted watered down. My pad kee map was okay could have used more sauce and the portion was TINY….service was meh the lady came by once but I ran out of my water and had to have someone’s in my party’s water that didn’t want it. Spice level was nice as I love spicy food.

I was disappointed by the taste of Thai food at this establishment, which claimed to have authentic flavors. The Tom kha soup was a letdown, with a watery consistency and lacking in flavor. For our entree, we ordered two different curries - yellow and red - but they arrived with the same issues as the soup: too much water and not enough flavor. The curry sauce lacked texture and depth, making it unappetizing. Additionally, I was surprised to see an 18% gratuity automatically added to the bill for our party of four, which seemed excessive given the subpar food.

My wife ordered the Curry Fried Rice with Chicken and it was better than 5 stars - I had the Pad Thai with Shrimp and it was good. She liked mine better than hers, but I loved her Curry Fried Rice so we swapped. Would recommend this place for sure!

Unfortunately I cannot in any way recommend this place to anyone. We came with a group of 7 adults on saturday right at opening time 11:30am. The service was incredibly slow - hardly ever saw the servers. The food was bland and did not taste good - I am a thai food lover so i know the flavors well. Also the paint/decor/fixtures etc all looked original from whenever this place was built which seemed like longgggg longggg ago. rust all over bathrooms, stuff peeling and flaking - just overall looks awful in there. Needs a facelift - especially for the prices they are charging.

We went on a Saturday night. Average wait time. Tried to wait in the bar, but there was no bartender. I had the yellow curry with shrimp, which was very good. The big issue was my wife ordered the duck curry with no spice, and the waitress said they could do it. When she got it, it was so spicy she couldn't even eat it. They did offer to make something else but her mouth was on fire and she couldn't eat anything else. The waitress then said "yeah we can't take out the spice". When we got the bill they had left it on and they had charged us a "large party charge" which included an 18% tip. There were only four people in our party. The Thai martini and the manhattan were awful as well. The service was terrible and slow and the waitress rude. We had to ask for the manager to get the duck curry off the bill. If you want Thai food, order it to go. We won't be back.

Host told me to wait 5 minutes even though the table we were going to sit down on was already free and set up. Never got water refilled, the host added a "large party" tip for my family of 4. The pad Thai was slimy (noodles were over soaked). My family did fine with the food but I got sick after having the massaman beef curry. Do not go if you plan on hiking afterwards.

This is our 1st time in Sedona, AZ. My wife and I came from Virginia. Thai foods are okay. We have Pad-Se-Ew Beef, Pad Thai chicken, Tom Yum Tofu, and Fresh Roll Wrap. Services are below average because the waitress wants us to pay the bill while we are still eating. She wants to leave before her shift end at 03:00PM. It was only 02:30 PM when she wants customer to take care the bill. We can continue to eat after we paid the bill. However, the waitress already takes off. I was disappointed. I won’t come back here again if they treated customers this way. Thai restaurants in Virginia have better services.

It was awful! The prices online are different from the prices at the restaurant. I ordered food to go. Online it was $21, at the restaurant it is $23 and my total was $27.57. I called manager to ask why prices are different online, she laughed that the prices are reasonable and it is not a big difference! Manager is not professional at all! What does it mean prices have a small difference!!??? Is it ok for her to fool people?? and what is the “take out fee”? I am taking food myself and they are charging me a take out fee of $2.30?? I asked manager to honor me a price that i saw online and I ordered accordingly plus to remove a take out fee, i was not agree to pay a weird fee! She refused so I canceled my order. I was late for my work to order food somewhere else. My child was hungry. The horrible experience and customer service is a disaster!!!

Spent close to $100 on food. Got pad Thai with chicken and curried fried rice and silver noodle lover. All three dishes were flavorless. Ordered two servings of Tom ka soup which were good. I’ve patronized this restaurant since it opened but I’ve grown increasingly frustrated with its inconsistency. You never know if the food will be good.

The (host) man at the entrance should be removed and put elsewhere. After arriving, he was playing around with his computer for about 10 minutes, and then took our names down and said the wait is for an hour and a half. If you don't want people dinning there, than just close.

Server didn't seem to care very much. Whole restaurant ran out of plates midway through dinner service. Toilets overflowed and the whole place started to smell really bad. Did not clean up bathrooms after the toilets overflowed. Dirty toilet water everywhere in the bathrooms. Was able to be seated at the start of the service but had others waiting for hours. After a while server stopped attending to table. Had to go over to front desk to ask for check. Owner/manager seems attentive.

I love Thai food, we wanted to try it in Sedona. I got curried fried rice hot, when they say hot, they mean it. Others in my group got mild spice, all of it was great! Authentic Thai food. Note, they added 18% tip for group of 4, which was fine because I usually tip 20-25%. We got seated right away on a Thursday but I think this place fill up fast, and servers definitely were hustling.

Thai Spices was wonderful. Will return every time we are visiting Sedona.

3.5 out of 5. Service was mediocre but owner/manager was attentive. Appetizers were pretty good. Tom yum soup was only decent. Entree (Thai basil beef) came out lukewarm and returned it for a fresh order. Second order came out hot and I was satisfied with the flavor. Overall.. experience was okay. Not great but not terrible.

I've been ordering take-out food here for years, and I just noticed an additional charge of 10% for 'take out food' last night...What is that added charge for? I've never noticed a charge like that anywhere else... Is that a charge for the packaging? I mean c'mon, are you serious??? You pickup the food at the reception counter, they don't bring it out to your car nor do they deliver it to your home There's also been an increase in cost of menu items over the past few years, which should absorb the cost of packaging the food....So guess I'll be ordering my thai food elsewhere from now on!

We had take out. Loved the Pad Thai and Thai fried rice with 2 sides of their peanut sauce. We had a great experience.

Don’t know why this place is rated a 4. It is def a 5. The food is absolutely delicious. The fried rice and pineapple curry was perfect.

Pearl is an amazing chef,cook,writer ,and a beautiful human being . I definitely recommend stopping by . Growing up in sedona always loved this place .

One of the best thai food we had, that too in this remote part of Sedona. Truly recommend for anyone who cares for simplicity, hyegine, taste. Really worth the stopover here.

Amazing Thai food in Sedona area.
Service was great. Food was really good.

Our order for dinner was simplest - Tom Yum w/ Tofu ( Large) and a no-egg Tofu Thai Vegan Fried Rice - but took over 40mins to be served. Tom Yum was extremely sour and not great, but fried rice was ok - can be much better with added Basil. Ingredients were good/fresh with good size portions. Ambience was peaceful overall. Easy parking.

I ordered takeout over the phone on August 22nd.
The taste was more or less. I was not impressed.
The total was $40.
I paid $6 for extra shrimp, but they only gave me 4.
At the time of paying, I did not notice that they charged a Take-Out Fee (10%) and I even gave them a tip of $1.38.
The final total was $56.52, which seems too much to me.
After reading the reviews, I realized that many people also complained about the excessive charge of the Take-Out Fee. The owner also put a jar to collect extra tips. It is very abusive on the part of the restaurant.
I NEVER, anywhere was charged that famous "Take Out Fee" for 10%, it seems to me an abuse on the owner's part.
That's why I only give it 1 star. I will definitely never return to this restaurant.

Visited twice in three days during our vacation in Sedona. Good is fresh and flavourful. Portions are big enough to have some leftovers. Service is very attentive and fast. I can’t recommend this place enough

Pad Thai wasn't good I had to throw halve the dish away.
The dishes are not cheap but ok if you want any protein you have to pay, even for chicken or tofu. So if you want any protein the dishes got even more pricier.
We wanted to split the bill, they said its complicated and if it is possible that we should pay together. At the end we got a large party fee which is 18%.

The fee of 18% from 4 people is really cheeky. The meal was okay.

Visiting the area. Called and got an order of Pad Thai to be picked up by me. They charged a fee to carry out which I have never heard of anywhere. I got back to my hotel and had no utensils or napkins. Front desk girl couldn't open kitchen which was locked. I was telling her about fee and she said she had also never heard of such a thing but goes to Natural Thai Kitchen.

What is the carry out fee for? I spent my time and gas to come pick it up. When I called Bryan said they do not give utensil unless someone asks. REALLY you live in a tourist town. What is the fee for? Profit?

After finally getting utensils the Pad Thai was just okay.

Cute and small Thai restaurant with attentive service. Not the best interior decor but the food and service were good. Great views of the red rocks through the windows. Patio was unfortunately closed when we went however.

Loved the food. Very friendly customer service. Great help with our our takeout. Large generous portions.

I don’t understand how the food gets more expensive and the quality worse over time. I went into Thai spices last night and had one of the worst pad see ew dishes I’ve ever had. Rubbery noodles. Way too spicy (asked for medium). Small portion size and no love in the food. Sad about it

Couldn’t try the food they only had 1 server that night ( with attitude ) atmosphere was sad but could have been us since we didn’t get any service also the bus boy or host didn’t even offer or try to help out the waiter with drink service they were waiting till clients left before they sat anybody else down. I think they don’t care because they are still getting business and another bad review isn’t going to hurt can’t please everyone especially when you don’t even try. Really wanted to try this place out will be here till Sunday maybe we will try to give it a second chance

Tom Yum here is not that great. Too oily not spicy enough.

Sedona local that’s ordered take out here for a long time. This is the 3rd time in a row that my chicken pad Thai is bland AF. I always order hot or Thai hot. There’s literally no spice on it again. With no other options for Thai food, I hope they pay more attention to detail. I always recommend Thai Spices to my clients on a daily basis but I’m starting to reconsider the recommendation. Come on guys

IMO, this new Thai Spices location lacks the ambience or food quality of Pearl's old Thai Spices (still open just down the street). The servers at this new location are pleasant and the food is okay, but prefer the original location for a good, comfortable, relaxing Thai meal.

I would eat here every day if I lived here in Sedona. I had the angel hair rice noodles with veggies and chicken… so delicious. And we had the chow fun flat egg noodle with tofu and mixed veggies - the noodles had an incredible chewy texture and the sauce clung. I had mild, but I generously added sracha chili sauce to the dish and it was perfect, divine, so satisfying in this heavenly city. And they have the very best view of the mountains from the dining room. Go at lunch time so you don’t have an hour wait at dinner.

We were a party of four. We waited at least 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Then Ordered two appetizers, only received one. The girl seemed to have an attitude when we had questions about the food we wanted to order. When the food came so did the second appetizers. I order sweet and sour Thai style with chicken and brown rice. Received four small thin slices of chicken in a soupy syrupy bowl with some vegetables.
We have eaten at a lot of Thai restaurants and this one is the worst in my opinion.
They don’t let you split the check. Then they don’t tell you the reason until the check comes
They sneak in the check of 4 or more a 20% service charge
They charge extra for brown rice but when taking the order, they don’t tell you that there’s an up charge for brown rice.

When questioning the server she says, it’s all stated in the front of the
Menu. In the menu, it also states that there’s a 20% service charge for parties at four or more so that explains to us why she would not split the check.
I question what the service charges were for and she said it’s for a gratuity I told them this is unacceptable. Gratuity is something that’s earned not expected.

Excellent! We eat a lot of Thai food, so we are pretty particular. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful! Thank you for such a great dining experience! We will definitely return.
