From the Siri Group, a family business which owns and operates four highly acclaimed restaurants located in the San Francisco Bay Area which include the original Sweet Basil Thai Restaurant, Basil Thai Restaurant and Bar, Basil Canteen and Soi Four Bangkok Eatery is proud to bring to you our newest addition Soi Four Bangkok Eatery Scottsdale. At Soi 4 Bangkok Eatery, our aim is to create a cuisine that embodies this very notion through the synthesis of traditional Thai cooking recipes and fresh local ingredients to create a cuisine with exciting flavors and modern flare.
Interesting Thai restaurant. I would call it more of a fusion Thai style than traditional Thai. Even some crossover into Chinese cuisine. The name is largely the only thing straight up Thai about the restaurant.
We lived in Asia and have been to Thailand many times. So we know what good Thai food is.
This is more of American fusion Thai style in a nice Scottsdale atmosphere.
That said. The food was very good. Highly recommend the braised beef curry. Probably the best thing on the menu we had. Also enjoyed the Tom Ca Gai soup. Everything is Americanized and tamed for the Western palate for sure. But still very good.
Prices are quite steep for Thai food. Easily $24++ per entree and the starters are all in the $13+ range. They even charge for the rice side (which should come standard as part of the entree in my opinion). But that’s just me.
Five people (three drinks, 3 starters, soup, and 5 entrees) and the bill was well north of $315 with tip. That’s darn pricy for vegetables, noodles and rice. You are paying for the location in the McCormick ranch area of Scottsdale for sure.
We liked the restaurant. But I personally did not see the value in the prices. And because of that - I am unlikely to return. If I am going to spend at this level for a night out, then I am going to Morton’s or Dominick’s for a hundred more. Not for noodles.
As I said above, we know Thai food and the only difference between this and a less pricy thai cafe like Z’s House of Thai (not an endorsement) is the price you pay. And you might get more authentic Thai dishes in The cafe’.
If you have a thick wallet, please go here. You won’t be disappointed in the food. We simply have a more keen sense of Asian food - based on 22 years living in that region - which may be what makes this come off as more negative review than intended. We did give it 4 stars.
Went with a large group, and both the food and service were excellent. We ordered the fried whole fish, and they were kind enough to remove the head (at someone else’s request—embarrassing, but that’s a whole other story 🫣😅). We shared everything, and honestly, there wasn’t a single dish I didn’t enjoy. All in all, a super fun night out!
The hostess was incredibly rude to me when checking in, I brought a registered/certified service dog and it was clear that she was not happy about this.
I was by myself and waited a long time for a drink, long after others arrived after me.
The owner, which apparently made my crab fried rice, came out like a paste, definitely not a rice consistency. I sent it back and the waiter brought it back, just as was…same plate same pile of mush. It was explained to me that the owner of the restaurant made the pile of mush and was that I should accept it, due to this fact that the ‘“owner” made it..
VERY disappointed.
I have been here a handful of times and this by far is the WORST. I don’t generally leave bad reviews but this one deserves my time to write.
Definitely feel discriminated against!!
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale, and my favorite Thai restaurant hands down!
I've never had a bad experience here and the dishes never get old. Every time I come, I leave dreaming about the next time I'll eat here. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful, and funny! And the food is just so delicious.
My favorite dishes are the Skirt Steak Salad and the Grilled Eggplant Salad. I can't even describe how good the flavors are, so you'll have to try for yourself. My boyfriend's favorite dish is the Pad Thai. I don't even like Pad Thai, but if it's from here- I love it!
If I had an endless dining-out budget, I'd probably go here at least once a week. But for now, I save it for special occasions (:
Excellent in all aspects! We got Meang Kum, Paneng Nuea, Pla Duk Pad Ped, Khow Pad Pu, and Mango Sticky Rice. All these are delicious. Pla Duk Pad Ped here is probably better than that of most restaurants in Bangkok, while Khow Pad Pu is non-inferior to authentic fried rice in top Chinese restaurants. Meang Kum is our favorite- the best of Meang Kum we’ve ever had in decades.
Soi 4 offers a modern twist on Thai cuisine, blending traditional flavors with a contemporary flair. The sleek and stylish ambience sets the stage for a wonderful dining experience. Every dish I’ve tried over the past year has been delicious. Everything from the Pad Thai to any of the curries, to my favorite dish, Koi Soi, delivers a tasty and delightful culinary experience.
I came to this restaurant for a date night during Mother's Day weekend with my husband. We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly. The service was excellent. The staff is so friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and taken care of during your dining experience. We had the crab fried rice, which was superb, and the fish dish, along with the spicy basil chicken and mango sticky rice for dessert. Everything was so good. We will definitely be back to try more of their delicious dishes.
vising friends in Scottsdale and they treated me to the BEST Thai food ever! actually it might have been one of the best meals EVER! the atmosphere, service and food were all on point. I had the lemongrass chicken, and it was outstanding! i only wish lived closer. everything my friends ordered were fabulous! wine was awesome too. RUN, do not walk to this neighborhood gem!

Amazing food! The very best in Phoenix or Scottsdale.

I am a local Paradise Valley resident I attempted to have a quick meal by myself this evening I am always polite and say please thank you etc. I too many years ago in college was a waitress...the young woman was friendly who sat me and I quickly said no drinks and ordered a cup of soup(9.00 btw)and bc I was cold I asked to please bring that and I would then order something else...I waited over 15 minutes and an Asian couple who came in close by ordered and got their large soup asap...the waitress never returned for my second order and clearly had no intention of bringing the soup in any timely manner...I kept looking at her across the room and absolutely no reaction! This is my second time there and they were borderline rude the first time...the food is overpriced for average food...I will never go again...BTW most of my friends in PV feel the same way....very rude women there...unless you are Asian or appear Uber rich!
The service could not have been better and the food was great. Thank you May for taking care of us!
See you again soon!

Upscale excellent Thai
Delicious food and fantastic portions
Meena reminded me of the wonderful service I received in Thailand. Kind and welcoming. Food was excellent and the ambiance was comfortable and clean. Will definitely be back.

Nice ambiance when you walk in , took a while to get attention from staff as the bar attenent is also a hostess . Long wait for the food , but it's worth it ..tasty good food and nice selection on the menu . Not sure why it's extra for rice 🤔, seems like it should be included for the price....
Pricey spot with okay food.
Excellent service and food was prepared and carefully served according to each individual order. Large, tasty servings. We were a group of 10 celebrating two birthdays. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Overall a great experience every time we go. One of the bartenders, Ta, is super friendly and always makes great drinks. The food is consistently good and they have a really yummy chili vinegar they give on the side (it's SUPER spicy which I love). The leaf wraps are good (although tiny) and the turnip cakes are good although it's a bit too heavy for how large a portion it is. Definitely share that. Wouldn't get the curry puffs again. The braised beef shortribs are phenomenal. My dad doesn't do leftovers EVER, but he ate it the next day. It's quite a large portion too. Drunken beef is also great.
The ambiance is fine, nothing to call home about but it's nice for a relaxed evening. The owners are always around which is nice, although sometimes they're a little too obvious with telling servers what they're doing wrong...very no-nonsense and sometimes feels a bit tense in there. Makes for great people watching though :)
Our first time at this restaurant and we were very impressed. The food was delicious - I had the yellow curry chicken and mango juice. The curry had a little mild heat and tons of flavor. Service was quick and friendly. We came on a weeknight so there was no wait. It's a cute place. We will definitely be back!
Mi lugar favorito comida exquisita
Loved the food and the service. We ordered the chicken satay and a couple of lunch bowls and they were all great.
Ambience is awesome. Service is great. Kid friendly. Food could have tasted better. Didnt feel like authentic Thai.
Best Thai in Scottsdale!
Great little Thai spot. We were in Scottsdale for my birthday weekend and this was one of the places I had been wanting to try. They were friendly and the food was delicious. We got the Gai Yang (BBQ chicken), crispy chicken, crab fried rice as well as a few other appetizers. The crab fried rice was some of the best Thai fried rices I have ever had. Gai yang is one of my favorite Thai dishes and has become increasingly harder to find these days and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be going back when back in AZ.
This was our second time here and we will certainly be back. May P our server was super kind and attentive but not pushy. The food came quickly and was exceptional! The atmosphere was lively but relaxing at the same time. You can tell the owners take special interest and attention to provide very good food and friendly service.
Absolutely fantastic place with amazing food!!
Great food, great service
Excellent in all aspects! We got Meang Kum, Paneng Nuea, Pla Duk Pad Ped, Khow Pad Pu, and Mango Sticky Rice. All these are delicious. Pla Duk Pad Ped here is probably better than that of most restaurants in Bangkok, while Khow Pad Pu is non-inferior to authentic fried rice in top Chinese restaurants. Meang Kum is our favorite- the best of Meang Kum we’ve ever had in decades.
Wait staff was great. Food was great. Highly recommend.
My friends love this place and eat here a lot. This was my first time and I had the Pad Thai with chicken because of a good review. Honestly I didn't think it had much flavor.
We travel around the world and have been to Asia many times. This food was exceptional and our party said if you closed you eyes you were in a fantastic restaurant in Bangkok! This will be our new hangout!
Awful food quality on eve before thanksgiving. Inadequate overworked staff.. food was too sweet.. unusual for a Thai place.
Weak on the food side, nothing special or unique but quite expensive.
So, so good! The brussel sprouts, steak salad, grilled salmon + red curry, and garlic pork are all to die for!
Nice Thai restaurant, but the food is very pricey!
I came to this restaurant for a date night during Mother's Day weekend with my husband. We didn't have a reservation but were seated quickly. The service was excellent. The staff is so friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and taken care of during your dining experience. I had just visited Thailand for the first time stumbled upon this place after only a month back. It was great, the food, the service, the overall decor and a couple of finely crafted cocktails. This will be my go to Thai place for the foreseeable future.
Unfortunately we will NOT return. I say ‘unfortunately’ because the food is delicious, except it’s their ridiculous add-on charges to items that is normally included in most Thai restaurants. For example, 3 of us shared an appetizer and then 3 separate entrees. When our meals arrived - two of them requiring rice to put the main entree over, we were told that each side rice would cost $2.00. Of course we wanted rice so we ordered 2 separate sides of rice. I only wish I took a picture to show you the extremely tiny sized portion of rice we both received, which was about half a cup. My husband asked to have one egg added to his $18.95 Singapore rice main entree. That charge was $2.50. Keep in mind that it’s not the expensive prices of their food that bothered us, it was the principal of literally ‘milking’ their customers for things that should automatically be included in these meals. Prior to sitting down we told the receptionist that it was our 40th wedding anniversary and chose Soi4 to celebrate it. Not one time did the Server congratulate us, nor offer anything complimentary; this, too, was disappointing. We typically celebrate big events at Ocean 44 and El Charro Lodge, both in Scottsdale, and we always receive compliments and typically a delicious complimentary dessert, or two glasses of their house wine. So yes, Soi 4 was a FAIL, and though their food is delicious we don’t wish to support any establishment that goes above and beyond to take advantage of their customers, ‘milking’ them for every little thing that should be included in the first place.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Scottsdale, and my favorite Thai restaurant hands down!

Food was ok. We had to wait a long time for our food. For the quantity of the food, cost was high.
The food was very flavorful and the atmosphere was nice but comfortable. The staff was very friendly and patient with all the patrons. Some of the best Thai food I’ve had.
The food is incredible. Get the braised beef. You will not be disappointed.
High quality, excellent curry, fancy vibes. enjoyed my time here
Great Chicken Curry. Nice Atmosphere and Great Service!
Consistently delicious and creative with their meals and presentation. The restaurant fills up quickly so have a reservation or go early!
Not much selection but the food was great.
Didn’t ask us the spicy level and the mango sticky rice was terrible.
Excellent food, not crazy busy, friendly atmosphere. Hidden gem
We go here every time we visit Scottsdale, two times just this week! Beef short ribs and prawns with eggplant are both superb.
Wiraporn among the best Thai Waitresses ever
It was OK, I wouldnt go back. There are many Thai restaurants that are better. I had the Pad Thai and my friend had the Pad Woon Sen. We both said, there was absolutely no flavor. Sure, they can bring you spices to add to the dish but why not just add it to the dish while cooking. Most Thai dishes should be flavorful, the food here was just too bland.
Sub food standards at this restaurant. I’m disappointed while writing this cause I’m home sick with food poisoning from my meal here last night. Not only was the food tasteless but about 45 minutes later I became ill and now the morning after I’m feeling beat up from a night of violent stomach pain and nausea. Beware of the food here.. the ambiance is also nothing special, hard and uncomfortable chairs, and although the staff tries, they are assuming and never seem to listen or get it right. No wonder last night a super busy night at both eateries across the parking lot with a 1 hour wait, this Thai eatery was empty with only 2 tables occupied. I’m never going back here again.
Lovely Thai restaurant in the heart of Scottsdale. I love the modern, contemporary decor. The quality of food was top notch! I had stir-fried vegetables with brown rice. They have outdoor seating and it’s shaded. Our server was super friendly and had a great smile. Highly recommended!
Terrible, we will not go back. One entre was finally delivered to table after we had finished the other three entries so we shared our food with our guest who did not get his entre until so late. No explanation was given until a sorry when it was finally brought out.
I can’t believe I am just now posting a review. Have been coming here regularly since May of 2020 after AZ opened up from Covid and we moved to paradise valley. We love Soi 4. The owners and staff are amazing!! A true chef owned restaurant with all of the love and labor that it requires to make a chef owned restaurant successful. This is Thai on the next level. My husband typically orders the same thing from a restaurant because he doesn’t want to be disappointed. Here , he regularly orders different items off the menu and has never ever been disappointed. All of the recipes are unique to this restaurant and the premier chef, Dani. If you have the opportunity to meet her,and chances are you will because she’s always there, it is like you would imagine a Thai princess! Or perhaps queen!!
The service is phenomenal and the cuisine matches! The lamb and the salmon are my personal favorites but seriously everything is so good!! I’m hoping I can still get a table once you all read my review. Regardless cheers!! Also the gin blossom is the best !! Thank you Waa!
Very good food and service. Portions are a little for sharing and rice is extra.. really???
Lovely restaurant! I ordered the vegetable curry and it was super spicy. VERY hot, was a little bummed it didn't come with rice and that is an add on but overall a good experience.
We made reservations for 8:30pm at Soi 4 Bangkok Eatery on a Saturday night. Our table was ready promptly and we were seated immediately.
We started with the recommended appetizer which was a special; Curry puffs with chicken. After service recommendation we also had the mustard leaf with shrimp appetizer as well. both appetizers were beyond good. If we had had the capacity we would’ve ordered another round. Thai peppers on the side as well as fish sauce, chili paste, vinegar, and chili peppers.
We both had The run time mixed drink as well as a margarita. The drinks were well yeah garnished and we’re priced appropriately. and they were as delicious as they were attractive.
We could not decide between the Seabass entrée and the mixed seafood curry. So we got both! cooked to perfection and seasoned beyond what we could imagine. our only disappointment is that it took us this long to discover Soi 4.
The staff make you feel like family and the atmosphere is perfect for couples or large groups.
This restaurant will not disappoint. I give it a 10 out of 10.
Best Thai I’ve had since I was in Thailand. Authentic and great service!
10 mins before we were talked to after being sat. 20 mins to get cocktails. Apps were good. Tom Kha was mediocre. Not authentic Thai. Okay food overall but would not come back. Nothing wow'd us.
Omg.....I always love eating here....it is my go to place for Thai. The service, atmosphere and food are always perfect! I highly, highly recommend this place. I've tried several items on the menu and have been extremely pleased each time.
One Word: Delicious! To elaborate, the food had been impeccable and the efficient service made for an easygoing experience. Our assigned waitress had been very friendly, informative regarding the menu, and frequently catered to us throughout our dining experience. In short, I recommend Soi 4 Bangkok Eatery.
Nice little Thai restaurant
Fabulous food and service.
Absolutely outstanding everything; cuisine, service, cocktails!
Love everything about this restaurant. Food is incredible. Staff is amazing
The best Thai food in Arizona!
Friendly staff but the food was not what I was expecting from a Thai place. Thai tea was great. Service was long as most places are these days. The chicken wings burned mouth they were so hot plus they were mostly fried batter and not so much chicken. Upon appearance there were green leaves (not sure what the name is) but didn't add to the taste and looked fried like the chicken. The pad Thai was very bland and lacked any Thai flavor you might expect.
Did not know what to expect. Just tried this place today for lunch with coworkers and it was really good. Will definitely be back.
Very tasty restaurant! Everything tasted so fresh and light. You can tell that they have a very skilled chef, quality recipes, and quality ingredients. The food tasted delicious because the chef knows what they're doing and not because they are drowning the food in butter or oil. I wish the menu had some more curry options, I love massaman curry, and the service was a little slow. But overall I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!
Really excellent food great service just a lovely place.
Very fine Thai option. Veggie rolls and calamari are great starters. Delicious pad thai, pad kee mao (my go-to), pad see ew, tamarind-flavored dishes. The Thai tea is decadent. Very attractive interior. They also offer a full bar with many cocktails. Bob Uecker's favourite (seriously!).
beautiful interior, savory food
What an amazing gem! The food is absolutely spectacular.
Unbelievable Thai food. Totally catered to vegan palate and super friendly helpful staff. Must must try if you love Thai.
Went here for the first time a few days ago and it’s now one of my favorite places! The owners and staff are so great and friendly and provide amazing customer service! Point all the appetizers are incredible and the green curry dish is one of my favorite entrées. Definitely also check out there yummy cocktails too!
Crazy good, scared to submit this because I don’t want the secret to get out
We were here for a rehearsal dinner and the drinks and food were fantastic! The staff was so friendly and attentive and we truly enjoyed the experience. I will be back for some delicious cocktails, friendly faces, and the chicken curry!! 🙌
Wanted to find a Thai restaurant for a birthday dinner (my other half LOVES Thai). All of our usual spots are smaller, don't take reservations, or are more casual than what we were looking for. Found some reviews for Soi 4 Bangkok online and thought we'd give it a try. We are SO glad this was the place we chose.
The waitstaff was amazing - thank you to our server who was fun and took such great care of us.
The food was amazing - for the first time ever, no one at our table of 11 ordered the same thing, and we all just kept passing plates back and forth because it was so good.
the cocktails are amazing - I had some sort of Whiskey old-fashioned Thai style with lemongrass syrup - long grain? I cannot remember the name, but it was the best.
Thank you, thank you to Soi 4 - you were great hosts and we had an absolutely wonderful (and very special) night. We will be back!!
The food is excellent and the staff are wonderful. One of my favorite places.
Every time I have gone to this wonderful restaurant I have tried different dishes. I have never been disappointed. Each and every dish has been excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant
The ambience and atmosphere are nice. The staff was pleasant as well. However, I had couple things with my orders which is why I gave the two stars. The Tom kha soup had barley any chicken and was mostly mushrooms. The flavor was just ok as well. I decided to take my main order to go. It took a long time to get the order. When I got back home and opened my order it was the wrong order. I ordered a chicken order but got eggplants. I called and they said they would refund me but was disappointed and shocked that they messed up my order especially when I dined in. This night they seemed understaffed and disorganized. Would recommend for you to look elsewhere if you are looking for Thai.
Delicious and always consistent!
Amazing atmosphere, delicious calamari
Worst thai food ever. Avoid this place like the
plague!
The food here is delicious and everyone who works here is super friendly.
Hands down the best Thai restaurant in phoenix. Food is amazing. Beautiful atmosphere. Staff are super friendly. If your in the mood for great food , its worth the drive. Get the red curry chicken with extra curry sauce !
This may be my go to spot for Thai food. They have a few of my favorite specialities that remind me of trips to Thailand. This is located in an unsuspecting strip mall. But walking in, felt warm. The ambiance had a mix of things that show off some Thai culture but also incorporated an industrial vibe. If you sit near the front you may find yourself with a beautiful mountain view (beyond the parking lot). We were glad that we had reservations as it was as busy as could be given that they only sat people at every other table to maintain social distancing. We started with a cocktail. I enjoyed my lychee martini and my husband ordered a beer.
We started off with an order of the Kieow Tod. These dumplings were really perfect. I definitely would order them again. As soon as I saw that they had Khao Soi, I knew I had to order it. This is a northern thai specialty that you don't see too often and one of my favorite. This restaurant nailed it! The serving size was very generous as well. My husband got a tender beef curry dish that he thought was delicious. We finished our dinner with an absolute staple of thai food...mango sticky rice. It was perfect as well. Overall, I can't wait to go back!
The food was incredible, and the owner even came out to speak with us and ask how it all was. Incredibly friendly service, fresh and authentic food, and very nice atmosphere! Definitely will visit again when we are in Scottsdale! (p.s. shortribs are amazing)
Thetr were 3 of us. Sorry, but only one of us really enjoyed their meal. Not our taste. The service was very good.
Only one word applies - “Addictive” - went three times during the course of a week! A totally Yummy experience.
I had the Pad Thai and there was no flavor quite expensive for lunch. We did have the vegetable rolls for appetizers and they were very good.
Top quality Thai food. Authentic flavors
Great food, good service, overall good value
Love this restaurant. Will be back. The Tom Yum soup EXCELLENT
Every time I come to Phoenix, whether it's business or pleasure, I always swing by. Great service and great food.
Must try the pad thai. Great food and great service. Worth the wait.
Little hole-in-the-wall with yummy dim sum !
True flavors of Thailand dominate the food here, however the portions are on the small side for the price.
Yum yum yummy!! Great atmosphere too !
Great food every time!!
great food always
Awesome service and food
Excellent food. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful Thai place!
Very good thai fair . Enjoyed the atmosphere and the owner Ken and his wife are delightful hosts.
All the dishes were fabulous! The crispy catfish was flavorful and spicy. Shrimp and chicken dumplings and the papaya salad were great starters. The spicy wide noodle dish was great though we would have liked more meat. Great place!
Good food
Would be great if happy hr had a small curry
Delicious pad kee Mao, and great happy hour!
standard Thai cuisine but I did notice the fried chicken drumettes were quite deeply pigmented/bloody (bone + meat) which made me question how fresh the chicken was but, according to the internet, is healthy and fine to consume if fully cooked. The flat rice noodles also had a bit of a bite to them, not completely soft/translucent as I've had in the past.
delicious! It's like a little bangkok arrived in my mouth. will be back for more!
Amazing!! I’ve only eaten here once so far but I’ll continue coming back after this meal. I had their special with rice noodles and skirt steak (pad ke-mao)— incredibly good with high quality ingredients and amazing flavors! What’s exciting is it’s a completely new Thai dish I’ve never had before (and I eat a lot of Thai food). The wide rice noodles had the perfect soft texture.. so delicious. The tom ga soup was tasty but it’s flavor paled compared to the noodle dish (which is saying a lot when it’s Tom ga!). I ordered via Uber Eats, which was speedy and uneventful.
Best Place to eat
I ordered the chicken Panang curry and it was ridiculous. They put it in a cardboard container so the liquid is soaking through and it looks like a dog threw up with literally 7 chicken cubes. The worst part is it cost $17 dollars for it!!! I wish I could attach a picture it was almost hilarious how bad it was.
What an incredible find! Food was beyond delicious - had the lunch special with beef short rib and panang curry. Highly recommended. Service was impeccable. Great curry lunch specials too if you’re not as hungry for main dish, soup and super flavorful vegetable roll.
