Amazing food with lots of gluten free options

Diner Review №2

My daughter was sick so I wanted to bring her home some good soup. I ordered the Pho and even though it says it comes with "steak, pork" the hostess told me I had to pick a protein and that it was sliced beef, not steak. She didn't know what kind of pork it was. I selected the beef and was charged $3 extra for it. I brought it home and it tasted like celery soup, not the aromatic Thai flavoring at all. It was very disappointing.

Great service.
Food was very good.

I won't go again, at least for a while. In maybe about the past year, the food is very bland. Whenever I order noodles or stir fry, there is hardly any seasoning or sauce. My friends and family have had similar experiences.
The service and Thai tea I had last time were excellent.

Diner Review №6

Food is fantastic and we always request Michael as our server. He knows our order and always gives us the best service in Prescott!

Diner Review №7

Very tasty Thai food in central Prescott. Loved the Black Pepper Tofu and the Crispy Spring Rolls! Cool interior, too, and plenty of space. Live music was playing on Saturday night.

Diner Review №8

So much to choose from on their menu. Lots of vegetarian options. Best Thai in Prescott.

Diner Review №9

Food is very good .. server non - existent.. sadly . And they probably need to update wine list as first 2 choices not available.. I’m sitting here right now with Several dirty dishes so apparently staff does not work together to remove ?? Waitress is MIA .. ?? Hopefully service gets better here

Diner Review №10

We went here on new years eve, but that has nothing to do with this review.

Honesty, it's just sad. This place has the location and atmosphere to be one of thee nicest restaurant in all of Prescott.

BUT unfortunately the food is microwaved. I mean honestly, when you think of Thai food you think of fresh food but our food was far from it.

I asked for chili oil, and it came in a plastic togo container. We are so disappointed, it seems like a top down issue with the owner not being handson or poor management.

We would really like to see them turn it around and will update you with the review again in the future if things change!

Diner Review №11

I had another great meal and this time was extra nice with Ben our server and bartender. I’ve never met a more polite, attentive person. The food was great and service was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

Diner Review №12

Yet another over-priced Prescott restaurant serving average food...yawn!

Diner Review №13

It was an all-around good meal.

Diner Review №14

Noodles were overcooked and soggy, covered in too much sauce on two different dishes. The only thing I've had here that is decent is the green curry.

Diner Review №15

After seeing some if the recent reviews I was nervous about going. Went with some colleagues for lunch, my first time. Our server Michael was so nice and attentive! Not being too familiar with Thai food wasn't really sure what to get, but so much on the menu sound so good! We all ended up with the Pad Thai. OMG, the flavors were amazing! Spicy, sweet and citrusy. Might be a new favorite spot, can't wait to go back!

Diner Review №16

The food is pretty good but not amazing. The vibes inside are really nice and calm, the service was friendly but very slow and not very attentive in general.

Diner Review №17

Don’t be drawn in as we were by the interesting name font and nice lighting. This place is really terrible. Poor and unhelpful service, with sub-par, overcooked, and overpriced food served upon chipped dishes. We will not be back.

Diner Review №18

Called at 11 am to order takeout. She said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. Since it would take us about half an hour to get there o asked if they could put in the order in 10 minutes. When we got there they checked and said it would be a few minutes. She said I could take a seat and then if I wanted water. After 15 minutes I asked if it was ready and she said only the last item was being prepared. I said I had ordered at 11 am and not it was almost noon. She said that several people had come in right after and there was only one person cooking.
I waited another 10 minutes and asked if it was done and was told that they were working on it. I said that I could not wait anymore and was leaving. Not a good experience. No apologies or offer of a drink (other than water).

Diner Review №19

Tara Thai was our favorite place and we have not been there in about 6 months.. It has been steadily going downhill; run down, filthy carpeting, dead plants in window, worn out chairs Thought I'd give it a try again. Totally disappointed! Ordered takeout because the interior looks so dirty. Everyone is new and do not know what they are doing, messed up the order. (Every time I go there, everyone is new). Dish 1-Pad Thai. Chicken was DRY! Tasted like vinegar, otherwise tasteless. Dish 2-Himapan. Chicken was DRY! Vegetables were not cooked. Bell peppers were raw. Tasted like vinegar. Sauce was watery. Price: $40 for 2 take out dishes. Not worth it. Will not be returning.

Diner Review №20

This place been here awhile. I’ve always enjoy their pad Thai but never had the chance to write them an honest review :) love this place

Diner Review №21

This was my first visit. Came highly recommended and I understand why. Food was amazing, atmosphere is super cool and customer service was great.

If you go with Kids, sit by the fish and ask to feed them!

Looking forward to going back when we can!

Diner Review №22

Pad Thai came out barely warm - waiter acknowledged and said let me talk to my manager. He came back with a “complimentary Thai tea” which I couldn’t take. He then said “maybe we can get you a discount”. I left most of that dish there, and bill came with a full $$ 20 price for that dish and all the waiter said was “I am sorry”. Very disappointing and surely would not recommend this place.

A chic restaurant with cool vibe
And real Thai food

Diner Review №25

Highly recommend! From the staff greeting us at the door, to our lovely waiter, and we could not have had a better experience. Food was delicious, and the vibes are perfect. Happy hour is well worth it.

Diner Review №26

Avoid this place!
•FOOD: quality did not match their prices as it was largely flavorless and the chicken included with my dish was incredibly dry.
•SERVICE: inattentive and demeaning, we felt rushed through our dining despite arriving with more than ample time before closing.
•ATMOSPHERE: unexplained banging noises were unsettling but the koi pond and decor were nice.

I had ordered the Tom Ka Noodle, which I was very excited about since I've never had my favorite soup prepared with noodles. I was given just Tom Ka soup, which disappointed me but I was also okay just trying the soup. Luckily, I have very kind friends who spoke up for me and gently corrected the waitress. She responded aggressively with a demeaning tone, as if we were the ones who made a mistake. After she put in the new order, she took the soup and said that the new dish will take a while since there are tickets ahead of mine. Once my food arrived, I took a bite and was incredibly underwhelmed. The flavor was severely lacking. The chicken was dry and chewy and there was very little sauce or noodles. I barely had time to try to eat my bland food before the waitress brought checks. As we were paying and boxing leftovers, a loud banging startled us. The banging continued and we weren't sure where it was coming from since the restaurant was largely vacant. One waitress accused us of the sounds and another told us it was the two ghosts that haunted the establishment. There was also an error on my friend's receipt, he was charged for something he didn't recieve. Rather than correcting it, the waitress brushed it off with an excuse saying that their register was problematic. We left the restaurant disappointed and unsettled. It was the worst dining experience I've ever had and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Diner Review №27

Food: Yellow Curry. The presentation was good, but the taste and color was off. Pretty sure they forgot the turmeric and the rest of the spices. The potatoes and peppers in the curry were raw, like they threw them in expecting them to cook on the way to the table. Contrastly the chicken was dry and chewy.

Service: Rude, aggressive, and awkward service. Not just from our waitress, but the attitude from everyone there was unwelcoming. We felt rushed throughout the whole meal, despite it being during business hours. I also asked how much to add pineapple to my curry, and was told "1 or 2 dollars". I asked for it, she wrote something down, and then I didn't get the pineapple. I planned to mention it when asking for the bill so I wouldn't be charged, but the waitress brought our bill out unprompted about 30mins before closing.
When giving her my card I mentioned the pineapple and she said "oh yeah the system messes up sometimes" as if it's a regular thing that's not a big deal? She also didn't offer to take the pineapple off the bill, and communication with her was demoralizing so I just took $2 off the tip (still tipped 20% otherwise) as I always do as a rule. They never checked in with me for water, asked how the food was, or anything that you'd normally expect.

Atmosphere: Place looked very nice like the pictures. However there was AGGRESSIVE knocking / banging right next to our table which we couldn't tell where it was coming from, but it was a bit scary and the staff said it was "ghosts". Pretty sure it was part of their ruse to rush us out of the restaurant.

TL;DR Food was aggressively mid and didn't taste right. Service was terrible in every sense. Atmosphere was good decorativly but otherwise felt uncomfortable by the staff.

Do not let the pictures fool you. If you REALLLY want thai food and this is your only option, don't go here because they don't have any thai food.

Diner Review №28

Some friends and I were visiting from out of town and decided to finish our night here. Big mistake. At first glance this place looks great, the inside is beautiful, the pond provides a great atmosphere.

That being said, we arrive just over an hour before close and were quickly spoken down to as if we were an inconvenience. Immediately as we were seated the waitress prompted us for our drink order before we had all sat down and gotten to open a menu. She stood over us waiting for our drink order which was uncomfortable and made us feel rushed, and when she asked for our ID's she used a very patronizing tone as if she suspected we were young people trying to sneak drinks... I am 30 and immediately felt that was uncalled for especially in a place with "fine" in the title.

I also would have thought it was less weird for her to stand over us if she ever offered helpful advice on drinks, but the only advice she gave was to my friend that she would like the lemon drop if she prefers tart over sweet... that lemon drop was ridiculously sweet, canes lemonade is by far more tart.

Though that gave me a bad feeling, we brushed it off, enjoyed our drinks, and played a card game as we waited for food. while waiting one of my friends at the table who doesn't drink had ordered a soda (to which she gave him a very strange response... i think she didn't know what a Shirley temple was?) and our waitress never returned to refill his drink, at most places this would be whatever, but again, this place considers itself fine dining, and the drinks and plates are NOT cheap.

Our food comes out and we immediately notice that my friends dish is not right. She had wanted a dish with a similar name to another dish on the menu, the one she wanted was served with noodles and chicken, the one she was brought was a soup and not what she had asked for. I got up and spoke with our server to see about fixing her dish because again, these are fairly expensive plates and we all wanted to get the dish we intended to, but when i brought it up to our server i felt like i was getting lectured. She pointed out "well thats a completely different dish" ... yes i know... thats why we would like the correct one. "well if thats what she wants i will have to take the soup back"... ok? we didnt want the soup... it felt like she assumed i was trying to scam her or something rather than just admit she was at fault for putting in the wrong food.

a few minutes later she comes out and says that her food could be a while because there are three tickets in front of her. When her food finally came out we were quickly brought boxes and asked if we would like the check.

oh, also one of my friends is pretty sure they were charged for an extra they didnt receive.

also. the food was bland.

would not recommend.

Diner Review №29

This is one of our favorite Thai places in Prescott. The food, services, and atmosphere are wonderful.

Diner Review №30

Calling this place 'Fine' is ANYTHING but accurate. If you like Thai food, AVOID this place. If you're curious about Thai food, AVOID this place. Service was downright horrible (I won't say it was the worst I've ever had, but it was extremely close), and the food only a couple steps better. I could go into a long diatribe about the problems, but I think "AVOID this place" should say all that needs to be said about that.

However, there are two things I DO want to point out, as these could definitely qualify as "health code violations". First, the dish I was served has a considerable crack in the corner (see first photo). As someone who used to wait tables, you NEVER serve customers using cracked or broken dishware. Second, this now was placed on a small plate, as it should be. But, that small plate looked as if the server has picked it up out of the busser tub, and there was scraps of shredded cabbage on it (obviously from someone else's appetizer, as my order did not contain ANY cabbage). This is not only disgusting, but a blatant violation of health codes.

UPDATE: This is in regards to the 'reply' left by the restaurant. It's funny (in a VERY sad way) that, in responding to my review, the restaurant choose to focus of the cabbage I mentioned, and the chip. This two points were very minor points in my review. The PRIMARY points were the downright horrible service, and the extreme sub-par quality of the so-called Thai food. Food served by Taco Bell is more "Mexican", and food served by Panda Express is more "Chinese", than anything served by Tara Fine Thai Cuisine is "Thai". Of all the employees I saw, from the servers & bartender, to the person I fairly confident was the owner and/or manager, not a single person was Thai. Heck, not a single person was even Asian. Every employee there was as Angelo as one can be.

Not only do I stand by my original 1-star review, if it were possible to give a 0-star review, I would have.

Diner Review №31

Worst restaurant ever! They forgot the protein in our meals that we paid for. Then they would not do anything to make it right. Very overpriced and hardly any food, but especially when you don’t even get what you order. I would give them zero stars if I could never go there!!!!

Diner Review №32

Wow! My first time here. I loved every bit of the experience. Amazing food. Very helpful service. Beautiful atmosphere. I think I found my new favorite restaurant.
The only thing that was upsetting was that my server was obviously injured, but still had to work. More of an American problem I guess and not the restaurant. It's a shame more companies do not take care of their employees.

Diner Review №33

The atmosphere was awesome. The food was honestly disappointing and there was a bug in my entree when it came out...

Diner Review №34

Ok not sure how to start this but here I go. We. Stumbled upon this place on our way to somewhere else… we ended up turning around and decided to give this place a try… from the outside we it didn’t look like anything special… oh man when we walked in what a surprise!! Absolutely amazing!!! A huge koi fish pond was the center point along with Buddha statues…. So calming and such a relaxing environment!!! We were greeted at the door with smiles and welcoming energy… this continued throughout our dining experience. We had some questions about the menu and Summer our server was amazing!!!! Unbelievable service and not only from Summer but from the entire staff.… this place is run like a precision machine they all help each other out with smiles. They actually look like they all like each other and genuinely want to be there… not sure if that’s true but it sure appears that way… just a great experience and thank you again to Summer for all of your suggestions… we will be back soon!

Diner Review №35

Only been twice but food is good everytime!

Diner Review №36

Friendly staff. Never rushed. Ladies room needs attention!!!

Diner Review №37

The food itself was great. I will be getting it again. Dining in looks like fun, but I only got takeout. The takeout process was a little clunky from ordering to paying, although I will note it was prepared on time and fresh.

Diner Review №38

They're great place if you want to have nicer atmosphere for overpriced Thai food. Cuz it's beautiful inside. Literally 75% of the time are to go dishes or not correct. Multiple managers have told me it depends on the cook they have. That's how inconsistent the ingredients are. Been ordering from them for years and things have gone downhill so we are going to move on.

This is by far my favorite restraunt in town. Their curries are amazing, and you can make them as spicy (or not) as you want. The waitstaff are incredibly nice and polite, and always make sure to give us the best timely service while still making sure everything is correct. The chefs are incredible and have an amazing menu that they know inside and out how to make to perfection. The prices are great and the quality of food is incredible. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

Diner Review №44

Recently ate at Tara, the food and service were exceptional!

Diner Review №45

My husband and I were at Tara Thai on Sunday, admittedly closer to closing than I like going to a restaurant. The staff was still very friendly, especially our server (I am pretty sure her name was Kiley?) and the food came out very quickly and was delicious.

Diner Review №46

We visited this place a couple of years ago and had an amazing experience, and everything tasted great. We always wanted to go back to Prescott just for this and did that last weekend. This time, it was alright of an experience. Nothing was outstanding. So may be no more Prescott if not for kayking in Watson lake.

Diner Review №47

Great food and drinks! They've recently added several drinks and what we've tried has been top notch, and looking forward to trying a couple more in the future! The one nitpick would be the consistency of 'Thai hot', as sometimes it's pretty mild while other times it's full meltdown; but on average a pretty decent kick.

Diner Review №48

Great quiet ambience with flowing water fountain creates one of the best atmospheres in town. The food's really gone down from a few years back. It used to be the best Thai food in Prescott. No longer. My pad thai was too mild in flavor. Not enough tamarind and fish sauce and bit scarce with meat protein; the shrimp was perfectly cooked, not overdone. The greeters and servers were all wonderfully pleasant, friendly and willing to help. It helped after my very long day. The lowered rating is because of the lowered quality of cooking, coupled with a significantly higher price which the ambience and great service could not compensate.

Diner Review №49

Diner Review №50

Convenient location. Very nice ambiance
Good service. Varied menu. Food is very good.

Diner Review №51

The atmosphere was great! The service was excellent. Every dish we ordered was sweet. Thai food is not sweet. Yes, some dishes use a little sugar in the recipe. You will see them add a little sugar to balance out the high chili content. But it is never sweet. I chose this restaurant because it was my nieces last night in Prescott. She was flying back to Thailand the following morning. She did have the same opinion as I did, too sweet.

I lived and worked in Bangkok, Thailand for 11 years. There’s a handful of dishes that I can cook. I never put sugar in it, but I don’t put too much chili in either.

That is the reason primarily I reduce the rating to two stars. I will say that every dish that we got served, Tara Fine, used high quality ingredients.

I will return and ask that whatever items, I order, that they use no sugar.

Diner Review №58

Great food. Safe wirh gluten intolerance. But check your food. If you order 2 protein they tend to forget even when charged. If you order soup that comes with rice they will charge you extra or not give in you. They will argue.

When trying to talk with front staff very argumentativve won't listen to the customer.

Diner Review №59

Food is always stellar. Service and ambiance couldn’t be better. Best in town.

Diner Review №60

Our favorite restaurant in town. The atmosphere is phenomenal. All dishes are beautifully presented and are out of this world.

Diner Review №61

Excellent food professional crew recommend this place

Diner Review №62

We had a Ladies Happy Hour at Tara Thia. A large group of ladies sharing Starters plus great Martini's, Plum Wine and Stewball PB Whiskey. Service was attentive and we even had the owner come out and say hello. We had fun and enjoyed the food and drinks as always.

Diner Review №63

We were told this was the place to try for Thai food, wrong. Orange chicken that we ordered was so over fried it was hard and lacerated your mouth and turned to sawdust in your mouth. The basil orange sauce it came with was very tasty. They brought an extra dish of it, and it needed to be drenched in it sadly to offset the horribly over fried nature of the way too thin sliced chicken, but didn't help it from turning to dust as you ate it. We ordered spring rolls 2 for $12. What? It's hardly worth it. I figured we would at least be served 4, that would be 3 bucks each! But $6 each is crazy. The chicken pad Thai was ok, nothing to write home about. Each entree was $20 each! It was quite expensive for what it was. The bathrooms were disgustingly gross, and they need to be remodeled badly, and it reminded me of gross bathrooms in a dive bar. I do not recommend, nor will we return. Told the server of the poor state of the orange chicken. He didn't seem to care. Tara Not So Fine Thai Cuisine. Looks from the Owners' few responses to the many poor reviews. The owner has many excuses but doesn't seem to care about making it right for folds or fixing the issues, as I see many of the same complaints over the years. Wow, astounding that this restaurant isn't closed down.

Diner Review №64

Good food, a bunch of new waiters / waitresses, carpeting in the dining area is now disgusting. If it is that bad in the dining area, how is cleanliness in other areas??

Diner Review №65

Jamie was our server and he did a really great job! Super attentive. Everything was amazing. Got the Tom Yum soup, the starter plate, and a rice entree as well as the mango sticky rice and chocolate torte. Ample servings and very tasty! Also got green and peppermint tea. Love the vibe inside with the koi pond and all of the plants. Next time I’m in Prescott, I’ll be heading there again!

Diner Review №76

The food is absolutely terrible, this place used to be good but they ruined it. The environment is really cool, they have a koi pond and will let you feed and pet them but dont let that distract you. Seevice isnt the best. I hope they improve, this used to be one of the best restaurants in prescott.

Diner Review №77

Do not support this restaurant! Waited 30 minutes even with reservations made a week prior. Seated like sardines in a table 7 inches from another table. Dirty table when seated. 45 minutes before getting drinks. 1.5 hrs before getting food and it was pathetic food. Manager sits at the bar and does not get up to help. Terrible experience. Do not waste your time and money!

Diner Review №78

Wonderful Customer Service, great and delicious foods. My family and I visited Prescott for the first time and this Cuisine was our first option and it was the best.

Diner Review №79

Looking for some cooler weather we ventured for a day of driving through several small towns and made our final stop in Prescott.
Love this little town although it seems to be getting busier.
The fun part though was most businesses had already put out their Christmas decorations which made for a festive feel.
After being out and walking around for quite some time and site seeing, we needed food.
We didn't realize most places needed a reservation on a Saturday evening so we kept venturing until we came across Tara Fine Thai.
Hoping we could get in, we were lucky.
We started with a glass of white Rombauer Carneros Chardonnay. Buttery, smooth and fresh.
As an appetizer we started with the Coconut Shrimp and then the main course for me was the broccoli stir fry with beef, and for my friend, Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp.
There wasn't anything extraordinary about this place. The food was good. We enjoyed it. The atmosphere was ok.
I do not know why restaurants still have carpeting but that has to go. I cant begin to imagine whats embedded in there.
I do recommend Tara Fine Thai Cuisine. If you enjoy Thai food perhaps you will be more daring that I was in playing it safe.
Enjoy.

Excellent Thai good. Nice restaurant.

Diner Review №82

My parents and I ordered take out and I had the Tom Yum soup. It was the worst Tom Yum soup I have ever had. My parent’s food was disgusting as well. My mom chicken Satay was undercooked. It was very low quality and way overpriced. I would recommend trying a different Thai restaurant in town based off of our experience

One of favorite four restaurants close to Prescott Court House Plaza. Live Koi pond, nice art.

I was so excited to try this place. Beautiful inside. Horrible food. Asked guy if food was supposed to be cold he said i waited to long to eat it. Dirty plates and guy couldn't even give me a bag for the food I did take home.

Diner Review №89

Atmosphere is really nice but when your feet stick to the carpet because it's so worn out and filthy, it distracts from the atmosphere. Your shoes literally stick to the carpet! Kinda blows my mind! Food was pretty bland too, ordered a 4 on the heat scale and there was none. Place used to be pretty good, don't know what happened. Normally love Thai food.

My wife and I really like this place. The food is good and the atmosphere is really quiet and peaceful. You'd never guess that the busyness of the touristy area outside is happening.

Diner Review №93

Love this restaurant on the Courthouse Square, in downtown Prescott. The giant Buddha and Koi Pond are a major reason we love this Thai Restaurant.

Diner Review №94

Good food but they disconnect their phone.

Diner Review №95

Very nice! Ambiance is awesome with sounds of trickling water and music. Big portions.

Diner Review №96

Definitely a go-to for some Thai food in Prescott. A couple of staples - the Spicy Marg is top notch, and the Arizona Heatwave (red curry) should be on your order. BTW, Level 3 has no heat, so go big. Also, add in a little house-made coconut ice cream to top it off.

Yes, the floors could use some cleaning… but don’t act like you’re eating off of them 🤣.

Diner Review №97

What a wonderful experience! Food was amazing. Vegan options available too! They have a Koi pond in the middle of the restaurant and tables nearby. (There's a big boy that LOVES to be pet) service was wonderful and attentive while still being human and not stuffy. Drinks were creative and I will recommend this over and over again to anyone that will listen to me. Thank you Bre for a wonderful first experience!!

Diner Review №101

Good spot in Prescott for getting your Thai on. Love the orange chicken and the black pepper tofu is great hear as well!

Diner Review №102

This restaurant food was not flavorful at all. My chicken curry tasted like a bowl of water down soup. The pad thai noodles barely have any protein. My friend asked for extra chicken in his curry and and was charged 8 dollars extra but barely received any extra chicken.

Cool decor and good food but don't look at the floor! We've eaten there a couple of times and enjoyed the food...especially the basil/coconut pesto noodles. So yummy! However, after eating there this last time, I looked down at the floor and it was so gross/dirty! If the floor is that dirty it makes me wonder if the kitchen is clean!?! Not sure if we'll go back.

Diner Review №110

Good Thai food. Cost is close to $20 each with only drinking water. Nice staff. Food is just very good, but not outstanding. Location and atmosphere are what you are paying for. Quiet atmosphere.

Diner Review №111

We had birthday dinner there, our server was very nice but not super attentive, our waters ran out and waited till the food was almost gone to ask how things were and if we needed anything, the food was great but not near as spicy as we had requested. Another delicious meal. It’s been way too long since we were here. Seeing Rex (the owner) and the new staff was a pleasure. Rex puts lots of love into his dishes!

Diner Review №122

If I could rename Tom Yum to Tom Yummy, I would! Totally worth the visit!!

Diner Review №123

We were a group of 7. They took good care of us. Even the cook came out to check that food was to put satisfaction.

Diner Review №124

Great red curry!

Diner Review №125

Tara fully deserves three stars for the lovely, spacious atmosphere, full bar, and well-rounded menu of Thai food. But what knocks it down to two stars is the surprisingly mediocre quality of its very expensive dishes. The food simply does not match the elegant décor or the exorbitant prices. In fact, most traditional Thai spices were lacking, and the primary flavor of some dishes was merely salt. I actually bought some limes and coconut milk at the local Sprouts to properly reconstitute the Tom Ka soup at home – and with those additions it didn’t taste half bad.

That said, the portions are plentiful and the ingredients fresh, so if you bring your own spices with you this food might be to your liking. Tara provides a good base in each dish upon which to build some truly decent Thai cuisine. It’s just…well…you’re going to pay a lot for that mediocre experience.

Diner Review №126

Awesome atmosphere. Fantastic service. Waitress was great at answering menu questions and making suggestions.

Diner Review №127

I ve been away for 3 yr...came back to my favorite Tom Ka soup. it's the best

Diner Review №128

The atmosphere here is impressive. Large wine selections and tasty food

Diner Review №129

Nice ambience, reasonably priced cocktails, but the food is another matter. Flavor was absent. I've read other reviews with the same complaint. Hard to understand.

Diner Review №130

Friendly waitstaff. We'll try it again.

Diner Review №131

Diner Review №132

Decent Thai food. A bit pricey, but yummy.

Diner Review №133

The food is always delicious.

Diner Review №135

So much atmosphere, food was great. Our waitress and the "busser" we're tops !

Diner Review №136

Always a treat to dine here! We got the spring rolls for starters and they were hot and delicious! Then I got the pad Thai. I like mine on the spicier side so I ordered a four. My brother ordered a one. Both weren't spicy at all but really flavorful and beautifully plated. Will definitely be back!

Diner Review №137

Great food, good service, and interesting old time atmosphere.

Diner Review №138

The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding! I’ve lived in Prescott for several years but was not much of Thai Cuisine person but this restaurant exceeded my highest expectations.

Diner Review №139

My first meal at a Thai restaurant. I had no expectations, but really enjoyed the food.

Diner Review №140

Excellent food and quality

Diner Review №141

Diner Review №142

Good place to eat. Love the tempura!

Diner Review №143

Very tasty Thai food. Appreciate that staff and chef were able to accommodate us when we came in close to closing time. Our server was very friendly and patient with our questions. The chef was flexible to make vegan dishes for us that were so delicious. Will definitely be going back again. Highly recommend when in Prescott.

Never again! I put in an order for pick-up at 6:25p. They said they were busy and it would be 30-35 min. I arrived 40min later and was told it wasn't ready to come back 'later'. I checked back at 7:30. "We just started it". At 8:00 still nothing but instant that I stay, it would be free... thanks but forget it! Too bad the food is good if you can get it.

Diner Review №146

The restaurant was very busy yet our server was able to get us our drinks and food in a timely manner and the food was good. I otfered a level-3 spice and my wife a level-4 (out of 5) and the difference in spice level corresponded closer to a 2.5 for my dish and a 8 out of 10 for my wife's dish. Kids chicken noodles was amazing and impressive.

Diner Review №147

Nice inside atmosphere, and loved the Pad Thai

Diner Review №148

Had a nice meal, a very nice restaurant and a great location, was also a very busy night and they handled it fine

Diner Review №149

So many wonderful flavors! The Arizona Curry dish was fantastic. Great service too.

Diner Review №150

Diner Review №151

Our server was fantastic!!

Diner Review №152

This restaurant had been a highlight in the square. That is the downtown area the center of Prescott. Its delightful and pleasant service with friendly smiles patients for those who have small children.

Diner Review №153

So so Thai food. I lived in Thailand.
This is really America's idea of Thailand food.
There is a little Thai rest in PV off 89a that is the closest thing to real Thai food. Family owned.

Diner Review №154

My father recently passed away and this was to be a dinner to celebrate him. We were forgotten at our table but the most disappointing part was bringing the horrible condition of the woman’s restroom to the staff, only for it to be ignored. Unfortunately, the food and service are average to good.

Diner Review №155

I had a reservation for an 8 top that I had reserved a week ahead of time. We arrived a little bit early and we're seated upon arrival. It took forever to get drinks to our table. We had put in our orders for food and 30 minutes after putting our orders, a 10 top comes in and sits down Near us. After another 30 minutes goes by, we still have not received our food and the 10 top started to receive their food. After another 15 minutes, the entire 10 top had their food and 3 of our seats just got food. After an hour and a half of being there, I still did not have my food.
They did nothing for the inconvience.
I got up and left. This ruined my evening.
I had always liked this place and was excited to bring my friends and family there that were in town for the weekend. I will not be going back, ever.
This was the worst service and lack of professional service I have ever had living here in Prescott. There are other Thai restaurants in Prescott that are very good.
Huge disappointment!

Diner Review №156

Diner Review №157

Prices went up and portions got smaller. It tasted good but it probably would have been better if we received all our food… 76$ for 3 tiny little portions and missing food. And like … can we go back to 2019 portions bc like I don’t want to eat my dinner then feel like I need to order more food after.

Diner Review №158

I had the coconut princess, it was good. I am not a fan of Thai food, but went with friends. Staff was very friendly.

Diner Review №159

Great customer service food was delicious. Great entertainment.

Diner Review №160

One of my favorite places but sometimes it is off point. Last time I went the rice was old.
Went again a few times and last time the cabage or something had rotted in both my dishes. The app tasted rotten also . Changed from 4 to 2 stars

Diner Review №161

Atmosphere was so zen! Food was excellent. Service was great. I would recommend this place. Oh, I forgot, $8 martinis!

Diner Review №162

Tom kha soup excellent. Noodles dinner was small portions, flavor was very good.

Diner Review №163

Enjoyed dinner here last night. Good service and terrific food. Went with a single friend, and enjoyed 3 entries, shared family style. We recommend this place.

Diner Review №164

Cool atmosphere, yummy pad thai, extremely nice server!

Diner Review №165

Diner Review №166

Only giving this place a star because of the interior decor. The waitress (blonde with glasses) was mid. Obviously her first job as she did not have any customer service skills. It took us forever to get our check while she was busy hanging out at the bar talking to other staff. The food is not authentic Thai, no real Asian flavor in the food.

Diner Review №167

this was, maybe a 40 dollar dinner but was actually 250!!! portions were very small. not as flavorful as expected. my suggestion is to avoid this over priced tourist attraction

Diner Review №168

Diner Review №169

Fast service. Excellent products.

Diner Review №170

One of the better Thai choices in Prescott, located downtown, sit at the bar or next to the kai pond and enjoy a great dish, highly recommend the crispy tofu as an appetizer

Diner Review №171

Very disappointed! Dinner, seated to a wet table ask to be dried, dried still apparently dirty and sticky, noticeable film. Moved to different table. We ordered chicken satay, spring roles. The chicken was not on skewers, semi warm charred, peanut sauce was like paste served in a little plastic cup. Spring roles; tasty very very greasy. Main course; coconut shrimp, orange chicken with basil. NOT COCONUT SHRIMP, deep fried bread coated no taste of coconut whatsoever. No sign a shredded coconut. Orange chicken, no sign of basil, dry considering it was suppose to be in a sauce. We have been to Thailand many times and love Thai food. The waiter tried initially to disagree to our dissatisfaction, but then said they had actually never had Thai food WHAT? We've been to this restaurant at least 4 times in the past 2 years, we live 3 hours away. Very Very Sad, I guess owner and management are not doing a very good job. Prescott is growing and a wonderful town, new restaurants everywhere. They better get it together. We will never go back. Other better restaurant in Prescott.

Diner Review №172

Beautiful decor inside. The food was good, not great. Ordered the classic pad Thai and surprising finished it and was still hungry, which is surprising as I hardly ever finish pad Thai at other places. so I guess it wasn't as big as it looked when it came out. the coconut shrimp was overly fried , I didn't see any coconut. would go back for the ambience, but not the best Thai food.

Diner Review №173

Excellent Thai Food! Chef came out to visit and the service was outstanding!

Diner Review №174

Good vibes. Nicest atmosphere. Order with care.

Diner Review №175

Very good food.

Diner Review №176

Not very good. Dee's is better. Also I asked for chili paste to go and they gave me this no joke

Diner Review №177

Live band in the restaurant made it impossible to communicate. Very bad date night location. Food was ok.

Diner Review №178

Thai fusion-ish. I got the Pra Rham which was good, but a little disappointing. The whole meal screamed for a little salt. The veggies we blanched, a little, but near met the sauce until plated. If they'd cooked the protein, sans shrimp, added veggies and wokked a bit, then added sauce and shrimp wokked until shrimp was done and served on the plate, it would have been much better. And oh, add some salt. I've been here a few times and the critique on the salt is the same. Don't get me wrong. The food is good, but could stand with a little improvement.

Diner Review №179

LOVE! I always have great food. It's a fine dinning atmosphere but very affordable prices.

Diner Review №180

Diner Review №181

Bartender served us very polite, helpful and very good. Food was good portions were alot.

Diner Review №182

Excellent meal as always!
Jade is the best server we've ever had there! Friendly, attentive without being intrusive, fast and she got everything right!
I hope they keep her!! We will definitely visit more often because of Jade!!!
And no we do not remotely know this young woman!

Diner Review №183

Excellent Thai food and genuinely kind staff!

Diner Review №184

Delicious food for everyone.

Diner Review №185

The food (once we got it) was delicious, the location is convenient, and the ambiance inside is beautiful.

Unfortunately, I will not return because the service was horrible.

What happened: My husband called in to order for pick up. After taking time to receive our order, we were then told the wait time would be an hour. This was the first red flag, but we went with it because it was my birthday, we were out of town to celebrate, and I’m in my third trimester of pregnancy and all I was craving was Thai food.

My husband arrives, one hour later, to pick up our order. He pays, tips, and afterwards is told that it will be 30 more minutes. Second red flag.

He arrives home with our food. Everyone’s order was correct, but mine was missing entirely. We check our receipt and not only was my order missing, but we were charged for a completely different entree— which we never ordered to begin with, and didn’t even receive.

Normally we would have let this go. My husband offered to split his meal with me. But it was my birthday, we had waited 90 min for this food, and I really wanted my meal. My husband calls them to explain and requests a rush order of my missing entree. The restaurant tells us that it will be another 30 minutes. Seriously?

At this point, I jump on the phone and request that this missing order needs to be prepared asap. We showed up about 15 minutes later and, thankfully, my food was ready free of charge.

The host offers us a scoop of ice cream to go as an apology. I almost lost it, and it felt so condescending compared to the situation.

I requested that they refund the entree that was messed up. They were prompt to complete this request, but only after I requested it. How this was never offered is beyond me.

To recap, nearly 2 hours of my birthday festivities was wasted by this restaurant. I don’t know what’s going on here to cause the long wait times and poor communication, and poor customer service. Honestly, having us pay first and tip BEFORE notifying us of the extended wait was the biggest offender for me. Incredibly disappointed and felt robbed of time and money by this place.

If you attend here, I hope that your service is much better because the food was actually really good. I hope they see this and improve as a team. Good luck!

Diner Review №186

Always great, well seasoned and spicy when you ask for spicy! Pricy? Yes! ...Wonderful? Definitely!

Diner Review №187

Fabulous restaurant, fantastic staff!
If ever back in Prescott from Texas, I will eat again!
Very highly recommended!

Diner Review №188

Excellent service and the food is delicious!

Diner Review №189

Most overpriced, bland, watered down curry I’ve ever had in my life. Could not taste any flavor or spice whatsoever. Will not be going back here again. Not to mention the prices on their menu didn’t even match up to what they charged me. Came to find out it’s because they tack on an extra charge if you actually want to add some type of meat to your curry (which most ppl do I’m guessing). Even adding tofu has an extra $4 charge. I ended up paying about $25 for a very small dish of veggies and tofu. So ridiculous…

Diner Review №190

Nice atmosphere and good food. Service was poor. They were not busy b and not attentive. Never brought the water. We were very disappointed and we will not go back. Not friendly at all.

Diner Review №191

We dine at Tara Thai frequently and love it! Our meals today were exceptional! I had Himapan, my husband had Pad Thai, favorites for each of us. We shared the Chocolate Torte with coconut ice cream. It was absolutely delicious! It's a good thing that I don't work there, as I'd be tempted to eat it daily 😁 Our waiter, Jim, also provided exceptional service! In my opinion Tara Thai is one of our very best restaurants locally!

Diner Review №192

Restaurant is good in a pinch. We have gone here a few times hoping it would get better but we learned our lesson now. The green Curry was flavorless and watery. Seems like they fill your entree with every vegetable they could find. Two pounds of cabbage and shredded carrot does not constitute a beautiful garnish. Lay off the vegetables and focus on the sauce. Plus we found a four inch kitchen rag string twined into our pad thai. So there's that.

Diner Review №193

Server was so nice I'd give her 6 stars, unfortunately the food all tasted like sugar. We tried a lot of items, spent $300 between 4 adults and only the white rice was not sweet. :(

Diner Review №194

Diner Review №195

Tara Thai has become my favorite Thai restaurant around, the food is so delicious.

Diner Review №196

I enjoyed very much

Diner Review №197

Diner Review №198

Awesome food & service with Jade!!

Diner Review №199

The worst Thai curry I've had. Atmosphere was elegant, wait staff was polite and attentive. I was very disappointed with my food. Curry was watery with a few vegetables. I asked for my spice level to be a 4. Curry was white and seemed like the kitchen had forgotten to add spices. My drink tasted good but had no alcohol. Overall, seemed like the restaurant was being cheap to make up for financial losses during COVID.

Diner Review №200

Interior, ambiance, decor was very nice. This is why I gave two stars instead of one.My pet peeve is when a waiter/waitress takes your order without writing it down and then proceeds to make several mistakes regarding that order, which is what happened . The food was average at best, my wife and I ordered the vegetable medley with beef and one with chicken. It lacked any flavor and was bland. It was definitely not worth the 21.00 per plate price. The waitress was pleasant enough, but lacked good waitress skills. Sometimes we would consider giving a place a second chance, but I don't think we will be back.
