Basil Fried Rice with pork at spicy level 2. This dish was super generous with the bell peppers which gave a nice refreshing bite. The rice is a bit more oily and salty but was very reminiscent of my SO's childhood food especially with the basil chili oil mixed with the rice.

Gaeng Deang (Red Curry) with pork at spicy level 2. Heavy coconut cream flavor but was quite spicy at level 2! The pork was a bit dry but the curry/soup was wonderful and we could just drink the whole thing if it wasn't so heavy

Ambience: 4/5 - decoration seems thrown together with different Asian items that didn't seem cohesive. Store seems very clean but did smell of cleaning products and herb/citrus combination

Service: 5/5 - came around 7:30 PM on a Sunday night so the store was fairly empty. The waitress was super friendly and smiley! Even though her English wasn't the best, she was very attentive and checked up on us a few times to make sure we enjoyed the food and had everything we needed.

Great, tasty food! We had dinner here after spending the night in Payson. It's close to our hotel. I saw the sign on the side of the road and decided to google. No regrets! Satay have 5 sticks, when it's normally just 3 sticks around Phoenix area for the same price. Panang chicken is soooo good. Definitely worth a try. We always tell them mild or #1 spicy rate. It's just perfect!

Food was good. Server was very friendly and welcoming. I got the Thai iced tea which was awesome. The Philippine Fried rice with beef was good as well. The Vietnam Fried rice was also delicious. Lots of crab and shrimp in the meal. The Tom Yum Gai soup was flavorful. I would recommend this place. The service was above and beyond.

Pretty decent place, one of the few thai food in the area and if you are looking for some Thai food then definitely pick this place. Taste was good but some ingredients were not portioned well like basil thai fried rice was lacking rice and basil however it was bombarded with bellpeppers for some reason. Food Seemed a bit overpriced especially the appetizer we ordered (Curry puffs) was not made authentically and was less in portion. I loved that they have the hot sauce on the table.
Overall, I would say if you like thai food just go for it.

Loved this so much that we joked it would be worth the drive to come here from Mesa just to eat here! We were seated immediately at 5PM and were happily surprised to see many customers already enjoying food--a good sign for a restaurant! The curry puffs were delicious (loved by my 1 year old, too), and I loved the chicken satay skewers as well. Our waitress was AMAZING and explained the various menu options to us and was very attentive, but not overly so. They had live music the night we were there.

Sorry to say this place has faded a bit from previous visits. Service was slow and inattentive, food was mediocre for the price, and our table's sauce tray was very dirty. Not planning to return on our next visit. Sad to see... this used to be our favorite place to visit when in Payson.

Had the Tom yum Ocean and the Stir Fried Eggplant, and I have to say I haven’t eat so good in a Thai restaurant since a long time. Have a meal for tomorrow too out of my order, awesome 👏

It is now known as Thai Station and is in the strip mall across the street from Safeway. I ordered pot stickers, a stir fry with seafood ( I forget the name of it) and a cucumber salad; all of which were very tasty. I especially liked the pot stickers. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Really good Thai food! We ordered takeout. What I loved is that for each dish (we had both the drunken noodles and red curry) they asked us how spicy from 1-5. I said 3 for the drunken noodles and 4 for the red curry. Both were QUITE spicy and I was so happy about it!

Too many Asian restaurants I've ordered from over the recent years don't know what spicy means. It's refreshing to find a place that knows how to add some flavorful heat to a dish!

If I lived here, this would be my go-to spot. If I could take this restaurant home with me, I would be like a kid on Christmas morning.

We were at Payson on our way to strawberry and had to wait for a while as our Tesla had to be charged. We got in the mood for some Thai food and noticed that there was a Thai restaurant in the same complex right by Basha’s. Found this restaurant and couldn’t be happier. Really good good and decent portion size for lunch specials. The cashew nut curry with tofu and veggies I ordered tasted really good which came in with fresh salad. They ran out of the wontons so offered us spring rolls instead. Definitely returning whenever I’m in the area and craving for some good Thai food. There is ample parking around and tends to be crowded around lunch and dinner time.

I rarely review food places but this place was so special I felt compelled to leave a review. The orange chicken was PERFECT. And the filling in the crab Rangoons made from scratch was amazing. We’ll make another drive up from Phoenix just to eat here again.

Google says this place is open but we've lived here a year and a half and it's never open. Quite annoying because Payson has so few diverse restaurants that are good.

Delicious! We ordered the Praram Lang Song and it was amazing. I have never had this dish at a Thai restaurant and the mix of flavors was special. We frequently eat Thai food in the Valley now I am happy to have a place to eat at when we visit Payson.

So good! I was sorry to miss them a second time, but the food is great, and the employees are lovely. Just wish they were open all week! The Thai iced tea is especially good and tastes like it’s made fresh, not from a mix. Loves the soups too.

Visiting from out of town and called in a late to go dinner. Staff was extremely pleasant and offered dishes I've never tried before. When I picked up my order the lady at the counter was very polite and double checked my order before I paid. The food was delicious, flavorful and fresh. I will definitely be ordering or dining in next time I visit my family here. I would strongly suggest this restaurant to everyone. Their menu options are full of a variety of Thai foods that can accommodate even special dietary needs and vegetarian choices. Their prices are very reasonable for the large amount of food you receive.

We absolutely love this place! When we come to payson, it is our go to. Our waitress, Tori, always recognizes us and is so kind. We highly recommend chicken paradise, pad Thai, orange chicken and yellow curry. Thai tea is always a good idea and we love the chicken satay for an appetizer.

The Khao Soi was great. But was disappointed in the Tom Kha soup. It didn't have any of the distinct flavors that this traditional Thai soup is suppose to have. Like galangal, lemongrass and kiffer lime leaves. The service...well...one lady was really super nice, very friendly and smiled a lot. The other lady had a mad look on her face the whole time and was very abrupt. The atmosphere was ok. Cozy cafe. The floor looked like it was never mopped. But the bathroom was clean. And I saw them wearing gloves. The prices were average to a little high.

super nice staff. complementary soup immediately after ordering, which was really tasty. i ordered the khao soi with shrimp. huge portion came quickly. got a 4 out of 5 spice and it pleasantly had my lips just the right amount of burn. shrimp were tender and not over cooked. curry broth was super flavorful. a gem for a small town in arizona with not much to offer food wise.

Upon walking in, we were greeted and sat right away! We ordered 2 iced teas, the cabbage soup, Koh Sai and basil fried rice. I personally am terrible at spicy foods so the level 1 spice on the basil fried rice and noodle soup were still a bit much for me but we good nonetheless. The cabbage soup was good to eat in between the spicy bites to keep my tongue from hating me. Everyone was friendly and attentive! Would recommend to those needing to fill a Thai craving.

Amazing area and great Thai! My green curry was so flavorful and there was SO MUCH that I had to take it home to use it as two meals.

Only negative part was that the bell peppers and various other ingredients were cut really large, no issue to split it apart with a spoon, though.

Absolutely delicious food. I am so full I might die. But happily. The lunch special is a great deal and they have a ton of vegan and vegetarian options, as anything can be made with tofu or vegetables. This is our new spot when we’re in town. Best Thai I’ve had in years.

The fact that the restaurant was completely empty at 7 pm on a Friday night was my first clue that Ayothaya does not live up to all the five-star reviews. I was visiting Payson overnight and so excited to hear of a quality Thai restaurant. I ordered takeout and received confirmation of my full order. When I arrived, one entree was missing - fine, but the wait staff and owner tried to tell me (despite documentation to the contrary) that I was mistaken and hadn't properly placed my order. It took some doing, but they finally admitted they were out of said menu item and had taken it off my order. The flavor of the wonton soup was good, but the wontons were mush. The typical reason for this? Instead of steaming the wontons and adding them at the time of service, the cook allows the wontons to sit in broth for at least a day. All in all, I'll never go back.

We stopped by for lunch as we were passing by based on excellent reviews. The place was pretty busy, and other guests seemed like enjoying their food. But for us, the food was way too salty and overpowering with sauce for our palate. The appetizer soup we got was very salty. Tom Yum soup was overpowering with sweet and salt. Pad Thai noodle was undercooked and way too saucy. I had to ask them to remake it as the noodles were way too hard to chew after couple of bites. Drunken noodle was at least edible, we picked on it for a bit but left disappointed.

The staff was nice and friendly, but we would be at a different restaurant next time we pass by Payson.

This place is a gem. The Thai food is super authentic and incredibly tasty. Their Thai tea is actual brewed tea with cream added, none of that pre made mumbo jumbo. I cannot speak high enough praises about this establishment. I eat here every time I come to Payson and every single time I fall I love with the cooking. I recommend their fresh rolls, Thai tea, and pad Thai. 100/10 would recommend. Definitely eat here.

So glad we discovered this place! Thai food was fresh and delicious. We sant down immediately and had food faster than subway or another fast food place in payson. The lines at fast food restaurants in payson are ridiculous. Even though this is a sit down restaurant, it was faster, the food WAY better, and a nice place to decompress from driving.

Some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The soup is amazing and seafood is tasty. Green curry is something special. Highly recommend this restaurant. Service is friendly and fast. Have never had an experience here that was not more than I expected. Will be back again and again. Great news they have brought back the lunch special and better than ever.

Awesome food, great service

This has been a favorite eatery of mine for as long as I can remember. I had placed an order late Friday night and when I got the food home it was not what I had ordered. I went in today to see about a possible solution as I was charged for food I did not get and the lady yelled and was rude, told me I was wrong and she made the order and that it was correct. Also that she had called me that night because they gave me the wrong order and I came back and got the food. I assured her I did not. No resolution and before I was disrespectful I walked away. I will not be coming back..

Love this Thai place! My husband and I try Thai curries in many towns and the curries here are above average for sure! Very creamy and full of flavor. The potstickers are the best we’ve had too. The staff is very friendly and the bathrooms are clean. We came once before during the lunch special and it was a great value and packed. This time was between lunch and dinner, less busy if you like it that way, but same great service and taste. Also they make a great Thai tea!

Best Thai food in Arizona! I've been to all the top places in Phoenix, Tempe and Scottsdale and nothing beats Ayothaya Thai Cafe in Payson.

We ordered the Pra Ram Lang Song and a bowl of Tofu soup. The food was as fresh as it gets. The greens were so full of flavor. The chicken was mouth watering and tender. The tofu soup had so much flavor. Every spoonful was an experience.

Please open a restaurant in Phoenix! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Payson.

This restaurant was very accommodating, I called in and had our food prepared for us since we were short on time and they had it ready and waiting, they were very helpful. We ordered the green curry and I think it could’ve use some coconut cream. Also the pad Thai and the eggplant with pork were great, and the Thai iced tea was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. This is the second time we’ve come to this restaurant when visiting in Payson.
