Thai restaurant with sushi offering.
Very hip space and friendly staff. It was easy to get a spot here for a weekday lunch, though I could imagine it gets busy for dinner. The moo ping (pork skewers) came recommended and were delicious, perfect texture and very tender meat. The Bermuda Triangle roll was very good though had a bit too much sauce. They have a kids menu with meals for only $6 and daily specials, including half off select bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Overall highly recommend and look forward to coming back!
When we went to the restaurant, it was very spacious seating. We went early evening. However, around 6pm or so, here comes the floodgate of folks ready to eat. It was a very nice experience. Our server was very nice and attentive. However, there was no uniformity to the servers. All of them were in street clothes and look like they were about to all go to a picnic or chill out at any minute. Oh well . . . The food was tasty. We had the seaweed salad, fried spring rolls, crab Rangoon, chicken skewers and veggie tempura for starters. We also had the beef teriyaki with fresh vegetables, shrimp fried rice and beef & chicken and veggies medley with brown rice. I will definitely go again!
I would love to give them 5s, because they usually get my (simple) order correct, and their food is delicious! I've been eating here for about 4 years. I love that they have options for everyone. But each time I've ordered pickup for the past two years, something has gone wrong. Many times, I have gotten back home and realized that my wife doesn't have one of her add-ons, another time we weren't given a dipping sauce. But did they charge us? Yes they did. This has happened almost exclusively to my wife's food. And it happened the last three times in a row, so now whenever I suggest this place, she has no interest, because why would she?
Great Thai food, I had the green Currie and had level 3 of 3 and it was a medium for me. Added veg and chicken . Others had the thai-nomite curry and it was nutty and a bit less runny. Get a reservation we were told, and yep it filled up by 6:00 pm they did loose one of our parties orders which is why I marked down the service. But when the food came it was above average.
First time dining in and was excited to taste the variety of Thai dishes. Food arrived timely but felt like there were some things missing and was entirely different than I ordered. The kids meal included the protein and drink but no side of rice or other side options to make it a meal. Also another dish that I had ordered included the protein with vegetables and sauce, which to me the dish looked and tasted like a Chinese stir fry dish rather. Also my other entree did not come with rice or a side option to make it a meal. Lastly, the remaining dishes I ordered were excellent, full of Thai flavors and spices.
We are done in Milwaukee at the children’s hospital and was looking for a little respite from a very rough day. Our waiter I believe his name was Jason was very accommodating as we slowly shared appetizers sushi and entree family style and made sure our drinks were full the whole time. He had no idea why we were in the area or what we were going through but provided an amazing dining experience.
Wide variety of choices on the menu. The food was good, service was great. A very nice place to enjoy your meal.
Good, but VERY expensive for what was served.

Great food, nice atmosphere.
The dining room was beyond freezing. Food portions pretty small. Not sure I would return. Taste of food was average.
Not impressed with food, was very bland and no flavor. Pad Thai was the worst.
Had heard lots of good things about the place but was disappointed.
Great authentic Asian food. The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious. It’s spacious and the atmosphere is very pleasant, the service is great.

First time and very happy, good food and a lot vegan options
Vegan and gluten free options with amazing flavors! Loved every minute I was there. Great service!
Really good food
I have been there 2 times. Once with my sister, and then I brought my son when he visited me. All 3 of us loved it. I would go back.
If you're looking for some of the best thai food in Milwaukee, you need to go to Thai-namite !
Best takeout we had so far. Great service at pickup, presentable food and the extras that you usually have to ask for. Will return for a seat at the table!
Best yellow curry I have ever had. The Tosa roll is pretty awesome too.

Watch out for the tip trap. They will automatically add 18% tip to the bill regardless the size of the group. We went for lunch as a group of three, and while the food was decent, they automatically added an 18% tip to the bill. Unfortunately, we missed it and tipped again. It left a bad taste, and while we enjoyed the food, we definitely won't be going back.
Best thai cuisine in town. Phenomenal customer service very friendly and fast service. Love, love, love the food choices.
It was my birthday today and my friends and I went to dinner at Thai-namite to celebrate. I have been there once before and had the best waiter and excellent food. So I thought this would be a great place for a special night. The waiter (who I will not name) was so totally rude and dismissive. I asked if I could have breast meat chicken in my dish and he coldly said they would not do that and that it's all mixed up chicken meat. I joked with him and said "it's my birthday" and told him that the last time I was there they did make my dish with breast meat chicken and I asked if he could ask the kitchen and I would pay an additional fee. He was rude and just said no, they can't do that. I then found an appetizer that was chicken breast strips on sticks and ordered that with my dish. I told him I would put the breast meat in my dish myself. So I had to order 2 dishes. Obviously if they make breast meat chicken strips they could have put that in my dish. He didn't even offer that solution. He was rude the whole time we were there and barely looked at us or checked in on us. My friends agreed with me and thought he was very rude and nasty. I have never had such a rude waiter. I generally leave a 25%-30% tip because I think it must be so hard to be in the the restaurant customer service industry. But, I would not have left this gentleman a cent, but because it was my birthday my friend paid for the meal and did not feel right not leaving a tip. I told the front door staff what a terrible experience we had and they said they were very sorry and they would tell the manager. I don't know if they did or not, but I will never go back to that restaurant again. A special birthday dinner turned out to be a very unpleasant experience.
Delicious hot curry, the best Thai food in the Milwaukee area!
Frequent this restaurant on a regular basis and it’s always great food and friendly service! My favorite place for takeout or a quick meal.
Delicious curry!
Excellent food ans service. The kids loved it.
Updated for 2024:
They should rename the restaurant the "nickel and dime" because they upcharge for everything! Upcharge for veggies in a curry $2, any protein $2-3. My kids asked for chopsticks and they brought over some then had the audacity to charge $8 for them. NO free refills on soda- $2.50 per fill.
Two kids + two adults with no alcohol had a bill of $78.
Watch out for the upcharges. Seriously. My favorite restaurant because of the gluten free options but we won't be back.
Nice folks.
Pad Thai is a bit flat, missing sprouts, green onions, red pepper flakes, lime and ground peanuts, so basically it's just noodles, protein, and sauce. I would encourage the chef to sprinkle the colorful ingredients rather than serve it prison style.
Panaang curry had green peppers and green beans, no carrot, no color. Same general advice, find color.
We eat Thai food almost everywhere we go and this has to be the worst we’ve ever had. Pad see ew was requested spicy but had no heat, soggy noodles and tasted like it was made with steak sauce.
The pumpkin curry was mediocre taste wise but the beef in both dishes was extremely low quality and clumped together. We literally had to pull it out.
Our server took our order and handed us the bill, but did not stop by even once in between. Our drinks were never delivered but were on the check we received.
Don’t waste your time or money
Amazing pad ee see ew and pad Thai. Love the fresh rolls as well with peanut sauce. The best Thai food in the Milwaukee area!
Delicious! We had Drunken Noodles, Red Curry and Classic Fried Rice with Shrimp. All well made, tasty, large portions for plenty of leftovers. Always enjoy whatever we order. We go to Tosa location.
Went here with brother and my daughter. They lived their food. I don't like spice but mine was good 2. Fried rice
I've come here several times already and have really enjoyed it every time. I've gotten the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew and very much enjoy the flavor, quantity of meat, and level of spice on both. They do spice on a scale from 1 to 3, and I usually enjoy moderately spicy food. I found a level 2 to have a little heat while still being able to taste my food. The service is friendly and the wait for food is pretty reasonable. On top of that, the space is well decorated, with plenty of room for larger parties and there is outdoor seating available, if needed. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to find a new Thai place.
I got teriyaki beef, it was very syrupy and gross.
Really excellent! Came here for lunch with my brother. We had the Philly and Oreo roll, veggie tempura, and split a red and green curry between us. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. I've been meaning to try this place for a while, so glad I finally did.
Food was delicious and our young waiter was on point!!
The restaurant and food was great. The only problem I had was trying to get a hold of the restaurant to make reservations for 7 adults and 2 kids. I made an online reservation but didn't get a confirmation. I called several times at different times and got a recording. It said to leave a message and I did twice. I never got a call back. Luckily the day of the event I called again and finally reached someone. The service and food was enjoyed by all of us.
Great food! The Pad Thai is the best in the city.
Thai-namite continues to be the best thai place in town. Their curries are all excellent, the entrees are impeccable, and the service is great. Vegetarians will be happy here, and anyone with a gluten sensitivity will find more than a few things to eat.
A bit loud, but excellent service and delicious food
Caution to vegans or vegetarians:
1. I ordered a tofu dish for takeout. It even said tofu on the lid. But when I got home and opened it up, it was very clearly and obviously chicken.
2. The menu says "V" is vegan but several of these contain egg so just read carefully. You just have to hope that these don't contain dairy either since they don't have a conventional definition of vegan.
Really frustrating.
The food is great and beautiful!
Flavorful food as usual.
Food served cold (room temperature overall - literally cold tofu) for the second consecutive visit. Will not be going back to this location.
Great curry. Hits the spot every time.
Really bad service. The waiters here are not interested in providing a good experience for their customers. Our waiter refused to split our check when we dined with friends. We will not be coming back due the off putting service and atmosphere.
I'm a lifetime customer, (over 10 years) and I'm never coming back. The waiter refused to split our bill. This has never happened in any other resturant that I have been to before. They have always split the bill. The waiter said the owners don't allow the check to be split anymore because multiple split checks cost them money from the credit card company. He was lying. I'll be telling my friends to stay away. We don't service resturants with bad customer service.
Great food! Great service!
My wife and I drive in from Oconomowoc to get the food here. Delicious
Hoped it would be better, but friendly and nice atmosphere. Hope next visit is better.
Food was okay. The tempura batter didn’t have much flavor, and the chicken wasn’t the best. We had to ask for chopsticks for sushi. Sushi was great and the sauce for the volcano chicken was delicious.
Tried calling them on a Sunday and got a message multiple times thanking me for trying to call them but they're busy taking other calls. WTH? Do you want business or not? I know you weren't busy for an hour straight. It's an ordeal trying to place an order with this place. I'll take my business elsewhere, thank you.
The Pad Thai was too tomato-based. Not enough peanut flavor. Shrimp in it were good & plentiful. It seems that when a Thai restaurant mixes in other foods, in this place, Japanese, it loses orginality.
Fantastic place. We eat here every chance we get. Also, they do vegetarian food right, not as an after thought.
Decent food. Very fresh ingredients.
Thai-namite was dynamite! Delicious food: yellow curry with chicken and Pad Thai. The sushi rolls were delicious. Can't wait to go back and try out some more dishes
We went for dinner on Friday night. It was busy but not packed with empty tables available. Food was good but the service was disappointing. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and entrees. We barely got our drinks and our entrees came out. We cancelled the appetizer, and then we were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks or anything else. Plates were taken and the bill dropped on the table. It felt like all they cared about was turning over the table which made our visit disappointing.
Upon picking up our take out the location is beautiful and good ambience. The food I was a bit disappointed by the Pad Thai. I say this not because it was not great and tasty is just not what I am used to. Usually is a bit juicer or there is sauce within the noodles etc etc. This is my only complaint. Someone had mentioned that it was not authentic but rather a modern version of Thai. But try and judge for yourself.
You can never go wrong with their fresh spring rolls & mighty cashew chicken
My FAVORITE place for lunch and dinner
Thainamite Wauwatosa is in my top 5 favorite restaurants. Their house curry is phenomenal. My fiancé and I get spice 2 out of 3 and it’s perfect. I also really enjoy the dragon maki and plum wine. The service is great. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for something new or from out of town!
The restaurant is too cold, but the food is good.
I liked this place. Good Thai food with some sushi offered, which was also good. The sashimi was thin, but no complaints overall. Drinks were good. This place is trying hard and it shows. They delivered a proper dish for everything I ordered. No reason to hesitate; I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
My favorite restaurant in the Milwaukee area! I've ordered both dine in and take out and I appreciate the quality of food options. They have a great atmosphere in the dine-in area and have reasonable times for take out.
Excellent food and service.
So... Ordered a miller light for the great price of $3 after placing my order app dinner and drinks. Server tells me they don't have miller light. How the f you not gunna have miller light in the city of miller light. So I left with nothing enraged that the waiter played dumb. So anyways I left waste of time.
Cometer 1 error en una mesa está mal, pero se puede corregir, pero 3 errores es casi un insulto, comida cruda en 2 de 3 platos, restos de plástico en otro, deben mejorar urgente
The quality of the products has dipped a fair amount since they opened a decade (more?) ago. Portions are a bit lighter as well. We'll be choosing other places to dine with moving forward.
Excellent food and service. We had the seaweed salad, yum tom soup, poke tuna bowl, curry beef, volcano chicken pairing with thai flight sake was excellent. Happy that there's parking at this restaurant on the side and in front.
We always love the food at Thai-namite!! Nini and her staff are always courteous and friendly. They cater to our allergy requirements and make sure everything is made properly. Kids love their Veggie sushi!!
I love the Brady Street location....used to go there often!!! Tried the Tosa location last night the food was terrible, the service was eh and the atmosphere was NOT the same at all....I will not be returning to this location again 😑
Grateful for the food and service I received here, thank you so much.
Good pad thai
I've had several fairly good experiences at the Thai-namite on Brady st, so when a friend wanted to meet up in Wauwatosa and wanted me to pick someplace for dinner I figured this would be a safe bet.
I mean it wasn't horrible or anything, but it was definitely a lesser experience as a whole. The menu was the exact same one as the Brady St one, so I would have expected basically the same food but, it was overall less well prepared than I would have expected. Nothing you could directly call out as bad, just not the quality level is expect from this restaurant.
The service is where it really suffered for me. I got there a little too early, and my friend was a little late, so I got a drink, which was fine. Though I did feel a little judged and it wasn't crowded enough to warrant them being annoyed with me for taking up a table. When my friend finally got there, we ordered, and they got my order wrong, but the waiter who took the order wasn't who brought me the food and the kid(bus boy I think) who brought me my food refused to listen to me when I tried to tell them the order was wrong, and how (just the wrong sushi roll). He insisted he brought me the right plate, which it technically was. I wanted to spend the time hanging out with my friend so rather than make a big deal out of it, I figured I'd catch the original waiter when they came back through but they never did. When it was finally time for the check, I ended up paying for all of it because they never even gave us a chance to split it. Overall I just left the restaurant feeling really frustrated with the experience.
The food was delicious and was decently. Timely! It was greeted and was said, Have a good night to. Only comments I would make is the staff didn’t seem very friendly. They didn’t check on us while we were having our meal or seemed bothered to have any conversation.
We regularly drive 30 minutes out of our way just to come get their Massaman curry. It’s our favorite. We also really like the gyoza!
Great food, very good prices. Hardly had any reasons to complain.
The food was fantastic. I had Tofu Pad Thai and was so pleased with it. The gyoza was also delicious and I recall my friend commenting on having the best sushi of their life. My only regret was not taking the rest home!
This no old school Thai, it's a fun fresh fusion sort of Thai with all the traditional flavors.
Food quality is low. Premixed drinks. Didnt have paypaya salad. No thai beer. Not authentic taste at all
Excellent food!
Always seem to rush you.
We ordered catering to our office for about 60 people and our staff loved it! So many people remarked how good the food was, we look forward to the next time we get food catered in from them!
BUYER Beware!! We been there several times, order alot and this time the waiter put 20% tip on our BILL WITHOUT telling us. Luckily, we notice it (this time) before we tipped him twice. Service was horrible or non-existent. Probably wont go there anymore, make sure you look at your bill if you do go there! Its NOT right how they do business. Seem shady.
Staff is so kind. Best place for sushi! I frequent the Tosa location but once ordered take out to the Brady location by mistake, and they filled it in Tosa without charging me for the roll again.
Ordered thai shrimp fried rice and thai beef fried rice. Food was good but shrimp was not well cooked.
Thai food is my favorite and Thai-namite is the best restaurant ever that never disappoints. All of the curries are on point and the roti is wonderful. Also, at the Wauwatosa location, it’s not on the menu, but make sure to ask if they have mango sticky rice available because it’s incredible.
There was nothing particularly wrong with our food it just wasn’t great. The sushi was not that amazing and their curry was just fine. The service was good and I wouldn’t count them out for a quick roll for lunch or something
The food was very good but the restaurant was sub-par. Things were in need of repair, the smell was off and lots of clutter but the food was very good. We got the red curry and pad-thai and both were worth coming back
Not what it once was. Meh.
Delicious meals with fast, friendly service
Very tasty Thai food.
What can I say, didn’t like it at all. Service was good, they cook quickly, interior is fine, nothing special and eye catching. Food! Food was terrible 😣 Tom yum was so-so and the portion was tiny, for cat would be enough, not for the adult. Pad Thai noodle was really awful. Strongly do not recommend. Extremely sour. Over salted. Moreover as a result – diarrhea. I am not gonna visit this place again.
Great Thai food. Been twice and lived it both times. You won't be disappointed.
I haven't ate here so my review isn't fully yet but I did order takeout which kind of count. I usually call before heading out to eat it's just preference that's all. I got a hold of a employee and I wanted to order a tray of thai chicken fried rice. The conversation went well so A+ for the service first of all. I was then transfer to the manger and she help me through all the complication I had. Kudos for her for such a rush order and being patient. Well because of that I decided to make a full payment and trust that it'll turn out alright and it did. I would recommend this location and go back to them because the service is so well and organized. I hope this helps you out deciding whether to give this place a try. Thanks for reading my review. Peace ✌️
We went there with teams during lunch time. Finding a parking is little bit challenging. Restaurant have spacious dining place.
My red curry actually tasted better reheated as leftovers than in person. My husband got a fried chicken with a sweet sauce and it was rather dry and hard to chew
When we went to the restaurant, it was very spacious seating. We went early evening. However, around 6pm or so, here comes the floodgate of folks ready to eat. It was a very nice experience. Our server was very nice and attentive. However, there was no uniformity to the servers. Excellent food and quick service! Will definitely go back
We have had take out from here before and always enjoyed it. Tonight's food was ok at best, not sure if we'll go back.
Good food, but be careful ordering gift cards from Thai-Namite. They will gladly sell you a gift card, but will NOT let you use it for payment unless the manager is there. This is what I was told when I called to place a carry out order on 5/20/23 at 11:17am.
Awesome service behind the bar. 10/10 would go back. Don’t think I saw a worker stop moving the entire time I was there. Great food as well!
It was good, definitely fresh. But I suggest studying the menu and what you'd like before going in. Only 1 refill for soda, so beware of that. And it seems like they're low on servers, I ran out of water multiple times. Still a unique menu with options you won't get else where.
This place is amazing. The food is phenomenal, the dining room is spacious, and the service is on point. I may become a regular! Hint: try the Thai Iced Tea!
Ordered volcano chicken was dried out over cooked and vegetables raw and expensive also beef drunken noodles beef was tough and chewy no taste to it will not be back
Poor service and the food isn't worth it. My Hawaiian fried rice didn't even have the pineapple in it. Veggie roll was falling apart. Already gave a second try and after this I won't be coming back.
Pretty solid casual good spot!
Came in here to grab an early dinner with a friend on a Sunday.
Pretty steady flow of people and we were seated right away.
Service was friendly and prompt (did try to take the plate way before we were done)
The Thai fried rice had the right amount of heat. Chicken was a bit over cooked and vegetables were under seasoned.
The shrimp dish tasted a bit artificial.
Quiet atmosphere and decent drinks menu
Good but not great overall
Best pad thai
This is our new favorite date night spot. Great food at a reasonable price.
This was our first time here, the food was really good and our servers for take out was really good, They made sure all of our order was together.
Quality of the food has really declined on my most recent orders, which is unfortunate because it's one of the only takeout spots within a few blocks. Shouldn't feel gross and disappointed after what's supposed to be a treat. Rice tonight was almost inedible. Won't be ordering anymore.
Great place to meet friends & co-workers.
Having dinner in Tepanyaki table brings you the chance to easily brake ice with others in your company.. it is great place to go with friends as well. I found its cuisine very interesting.. will come back next time when in town.
An amazing variety of Asian dishes all cooked perfectly. The optional spice levels are executed well and offer a lovely twist on familiar dishes.
This place is amazing. Any food that comes out of that kitchen is pure magic. Everyone who works here should be proud. Fantastic food. Fantastic staff. Can't recommend enough.
Delicious 😋
Nice food and quick service.
Great food!
Good food and quantities
Used to love Thai-Namite. Ordered a few entrees and sushi tonight and portion sizes have definitely decreased. The sushi was 5 small rolls and there was no wasabi or ginger included. Are times so tough that it’s only a la carte? Tried to call to find out but no one answered. Still like the Volcano chicken so they get an extra star for that. Too bad, was my favorite Thai restaurant before tonight.
We ordered Tom yum soup with tofu. It didn’t have any chicken in it. We also ordered Udon noodles with chicken and there was no chicken in it. The waiter took the order correctly. Someone made a mistake in the kitchen. They didn’t apologize for the mistakes either.
We tried a lot of different foods and drink and enjoyed all of it. Good sushi and cooked food.
Food was delicious and our server was great. My biggest complaint was how cold it was in the restaurant. I actually left my coat on to eat. Will return and/or get take out again
Very good Thai food. Will definitely be going back here.
Eat here please.
Good quality fried rice, noodles! Restaurant is clean, well decorated and stuffs are super friendly. I would not recommend the veggie soup though...! It's tasteless. 😂
Thai-namite was among the best Thai meals our family has had. The 7 of us ordered different dishes. Every one said how good their meal was. The vegetables were done perfectly, the taste was great, the pick up for take out was ready on time. We happened to order during the dinner hour on Friday and the restaurant was pretty busy, parking was not a problem. All 7 of us said we would recommend Thai-namite to friends and family. We will order from Thai-namite the next time we are in Wauwatosa Wisconsin.
They didn't have green onions as advertised on the menu in the dish. Also, my fiancee ordered extra egg, green onions, and meat. Needless to say he didn't receive what he ordered the bill was compensated. I will not be coming back.
I’ve been here twice recently and had a great experience both times. Service is fast and friendly, good atmosphere and fresh Thai food. The Gyoza is a must for an appetizer. Reasonably priced and good portions! Nice spacious restaurant for groups or children :)
