We came in on a Saturday night and weren’t sure if we’d get a table. Thankfully the wait was only 10 minutes. The restaurant itself is visually very cool. Our waiter was very friendly and even recommended other cool spots in Wausau. The steamed dumplings were an excellent starter. My noodle stir fry was also delicious. Overall a great experience!
I ordered the yellow curry, but I’m really not sure what I got. It’s like a grey gelatinous oatmeal with baked potatoes (literally burnt baked potatoes, you know you’re supposed to cook them in the curry right? Not before hand? lol) and chewy chicken in it (not even sure how you got that texture either...) I was so grossed out I had to throw it out. There were like 5 pieces of potato another 5 slices of thinly sliced carrot, the onions were RAW and it had entirely too much sugar, it’s just the most insanely inaccurate curry I’ve ever had. Sorry but please just look up a recipe on google and fix this…as a matter of fact, I’m extremely surprised it was as full as it was tonight. The Thai tea was good can’t complain about that one but it’s also reeeeally hard to mess up.
Again…I’m in shock that this place is popular… I only ordered cause of the good reviews. Having major trust issues now.
Other than that, nice service I was given a refund for this and I like the interior of the restaurant. It seems like a nice place to have dinner.
This is our favorite restaurant!
We've always had great service and the it's always welcoming and clean!
Recently we came here with a party of 12.
-All- of us had an excellent meal.
The place was packed on a Saturday night, but Lemongrass didn't disappoint! The food was top notch like always!
Fun atmosphere and always a good time. Highly recommended.
Everyone had a wonderful time and we look forward to the next time we visit again!
The worst experience ever! Wait one and half hours to get a table. Sitting by the table about 20 minutes no one talked to us. Finally got a guy and he only took the order of beginning and disappeared. So we only got egg rolls, it’s fine. never got chance to order more. He passed us hundred times and just ignored us. My husband finally stopped him and told him we were going to order food and he disappeared again. I was so upset because we went there for my birthday. After we told him we want our check and he never brought it back and just kept ignoring us. I was looking forward it so much. Just love pho and rice noodles. But I guess I won’t step into that place again. 这种服务态度,你们好自为之吧!
‼️Good food but BAD SERVICE ‼️
I'm very disappointed with the service at Lemongrass. My significant other and I reserved for 7pm but waited AN HOUR to get our food. Mind you, we only got 1 appetizer and an entree each, so it wasn't a very big order. Took about 15 minutes to get our appetizer, and then 45 minutes to get our food! It was alittle past 8pm when we got our food. I understand it was a busy night when we got there, but there were people who sat down AFTER us and got their food first.
We sat near the kitchen and our waitress never came around to check up on us yet walked past us many times. In the beginning she did let us know that our food was going to be a wait. But after that, no updates. After waiting for an hour and seeing that people around us who came after us got their food first, I had to stop her and ask if she knew how long our food was going to take... She then brought out our food immediately. If I knew it was going to take an hour to get our food, we would've just paid for the appetizer and left.
Ordered the lobster at market price of $70. It didn’t come as a normal lobster tail and was separate at the rings of the tail in chunks. Couldn’t use a fork to get the meat out. So asked a waitress how to get the meat out and nobody so here I am using my hands trying to break a tail open and get 3 1/2 inch chunks of meat. Pretty disappointed for a Valentine’s Day dinner. The noodles and flavor of the noodles were on point though.
Love the food and drinks
The first time I tried to come here there was an hour and a half wait, so this time I reserved a table. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, getting us seated right away. I ordered Fried Dumplings and spicy Beef Pad Thai, while another party member ordered the Brisket Pho. The dumplings were pretty good, though they cost about a dollar a piece and had more vegetables than meat. The Pad Thai was not spicy in the slightest. It just tasted like they put a bunch of paprika in it. I wanted to ask for some peppers, but the waiter always disappeared before I could ask him. We had to go up to the receptionist to get our check because our server wasn't coming back.
Overall, the best thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere. The food is okay, but you can find better for the price. The service is mixed depending on who is helping you.
Had 5:30 reservations for 6 people. Worst service I’ve ever received anywhere. For the first 45 minutes we were pretty much ignored. Had to rush out at 7:30 without finishing drinks or food to get to the Grand Theater on time. Two hours should have been ample time to get in & out. Totally unacceptable. It was chaos in there.
Dont get the curries. Pho was eh. They ran out of the beef rib for the chefs special but still charged us the full price. Service was slow. Don’t waste your time.

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE A PEANUT ALLERGY.! Even if the dish says ‘peanut free’
Always good.
Can't go wrong with whatever you order. Their food is authentic.
The drums on the wall aren’t just for decoration! The food and service are excellent as well!
Gem of a place! Jack served us and service was absolutely top notch professional and fun. Excellent food and service. Glad I finally got there. I'll be back!
I had previously rated Lemongrass as a strong four stars. The past several times we have eaten there and/or ordered to go, at least one of our meals was wrong. Just tonight, I asked for little to no onion in my Massaman Curry (my absolute favorite item on the menu) as the onions they been using are too strong. I get home tonight with my order, and what do I find. A metric crap ton of onion. To the point its all I can taste. Come on. Its not like I'm heavily modifying an order or asking them to get creative
They've gotten my fiancé's pad thai wrong in the past. They've given us chicken satay that not quite burnt but so charred it's all we could taste. Yes it's grilled and some char is to be expected and I like an appropriate amount of it. I've asked for the hot sauce for my curry on the side but they decided that was optional and dumped it all in.
Look. I get that it's crazy busy at times. I get the cooks are pushing food out as fast as they can to keep order times down but it's gotten to the point I don't trust them to get our orders right. It's turned in to a game of "Whats going to be wrong this time." We've spoken with management and they apologize and say they will speak to the kitchen. I'm sure they do but the core issue isn't being addressed. Once or twice making errors every so often I get. They are humans and we all make mistakes. Every oder going back at least six months? Nah. Something is fundamentally wrong.
What saddens me more than anything is this used to be our go to place. It is (was?) an important place to us because we have a limited number of resteraunts with such a diverse menu in the Wausau area. When they get an order right its amazing. We feel like the rug has been pulled out from under us. Now, it's like we place our order and they spin some wheel in the kitchen to randomly figure how they can screw with it. If you can't trust you're going to get what you order or how it's prepared why even give them the chance any more.
Our experiences hold true ordering online, calling an order in for carry out, and sitting in the dinning room. It's across the board.
I wish I could recommend Lemongrass moving forward. As I mentioned above, when they get something right, WOW. Great.
I love it. Unfortunately, now we've been saying WOW when we see yet another mistake. Admittedly, it really shouldn't be a surprise at this point.
Come on, Lemongrass. Get your act together.
This is our favorite restaurant!
We've always had great service and the it's always welcoming and clean!

Never had a less than amazing dish here. Great service and excellent location as well!
Very generous portions. Outstanding food and service. Clean! Best calamari I've ever had!
Food: Is very very good! It is on the pricey side., but it matches the date night/special occasion atmosphere. As a vegan, i highly appreciate that there are a handful of vegan or veganizable options on the menu! You always have a choice of how spicy you would like a dish (1-4+). I have had many of the vegan choices at a variety of spice levels and they are all delicious. The drinks are the
Atmosphere: Every server who has ever waited on me here is knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. There is limited parking as it is in a busier downtown area, but on the flip side when you do find parking there are many nice shops within walking distance. The only downside to this restaurant is when someone has a birthday. They do a drumming bit for birthdays that can be very very loud and disruptive to those not celebrating.
I love the massman curry and the Thai salad, top notch service as well.
Everything we ordered was delicious. Would come again. The brisket pho was tasty. We enjoyed the garlic sauce filet mignon. The broccoli was cooked just right. The spicy lemongrass noodles w/ combo meats was also good. Not too spicy, we ordered the medium. We really liked the pork egg rolls.
Bring cash to avoid a 3% surcharge.
Lemongrass has good food and I’ve been here a handful of times, and always had a good experience. That said, tonight our family had reservations at 7 pm for four. I don’t live in the area anymore and we were just hoping to have a nice family meal here before I left town again. We arrived around 6:50 early, and patiently waited while my mom checked in with the hostess. She told us she would clear a table and we would be seated shortly. At this point about 7:15, nobody had come to check on us and the hostess started helping others. It seemed a few groups were seated before us who arrived later. I went up to the kiosk again to check in on our table, and another host again told us that they would have a table for us shortly. Again, we were ignored even though multiple tables appeared to be open. The hosts even kept looking in our direction, walking by us, and ignoring us. So we left at 7:45. Not sure why exactly we were treated this way but it was a very disappointing experience. I understand the holidays can create chaos for restaurants, but waiting 45 minutes after we had a reservation just to be seated is poor management.
Wonderful service, pleasant and knowledgeable, food was delicious, cocktail perfect.
Great dining experience. Excellent food. Our waiter Jack was awesome!
Ordered uber eats. Restaurant gave driver wrong order. I called restaurant and they said driver said wrong name. How does uber driver say wrong name?Does he say bill and there happens to be a bill order sitting there. No. Lemongrass offered no compensation and said I could come get my order that was still there. My order was over 100$ and I ended up with couple horrible dishes. This is not even Asian fusion. Do not eat here. Horrible
My girl was beautiful
For a Monday night very busy and no waiting for a place to sit .TV (2) sports and cartoons for the children.Very friendly staff
Attentive service, very accommodating. Food was good and came out quick.

Chicken pho broth lacked taste. And the staff feel they can fix it with salt.lol.
The best find in Thai food since o moved to Wisconsin. Highly recommend
Fantastic food, great menu, my favorite restaurant by far!!!
The young bartender was extremely unprofessional. Speaking on his headset to the kitchen staff making fun of guests that were dining in. Including myself. This used to be my favorite spot to come have lunch when I was in town. Unfortunately if he is here I don’t feel welcome at all.
Weather you are meeting your girl for a great meal, or stopping for a snack alway Pleasantly surprised wick amazing flavor!
Word to the wise: the line starts at the back of the restaurant, at the other end of the bar from the entrance. We stood there for ten minutes while the bartender occasionally glanced at us and pretended we weren't there. Another couple behind us got the same treatment.
The food looked good and the atmosphere was pretty hip but the service wasn't very welcoming. We went to a restaurant next door.
Nice place for food and fancy decor.
This place is a joke. I should have taken account the review I read about the red curry being on “the sweeter side” and avoided this place all together. Sweeter side??? The red curry tasted like a cup of sugar was added to a can of coconut milk, red chili flakes thrown in for “spice” and a medley of three vegetables thrown in. Such a disappointment in every bite. I ate it only because I was hungry and it was too late to go anywhere else. Was seriously considering sending it back and just walking out. To add to the distaste of the dish I was served, the server Jack was just as unpleasant as the dish he served me. He spoke a mile a second and rushed every time he came by my table. After serving my food, it took like 10 minutes for him to come back, and instead of asking how my dish was or if I needed anything, he quickly asked if I needed a box. I replied No, I need another serving of rice, which he promptly brought. Nothing about this place seemed authentic, not the food, not the people. It seems like they expect their tacky attempt of a modern decor to speak in volume for their lack of accommodations in their service. Wausau, you can do better. Please do. Ive been eating Thai food for over twenty years and I can say this is the most unappealing thai dish Ive ever had. Not authentic at all. Sugar and Milk is what I had for dinner.
Bartender not friendly like we were bothering her didn't seem to work together waiter was ok never really came and checked on us and had to ask another one for to go boxes food was very good
We ordered pork egg rolls which came perfectly hot, crisp, minimally greasy... just great. We also ordered a cucumber salad which came with coarse chopped cucumber, looseleaf lettuce with juliene carrots and a light vinaigrette. For my entree I had pad thai with tofu. There are so many ways to screw up tofu so sometimes I order it as a test. It was absolutely perfect. The menu prices seem a bit high but the portion sizes and the quality easily justify the ask. Be aware some single portions are generous enough for two. The service was prompt, cheerful, attentive, and mature. The only ding was a personal dislike for the hard surface noisy atmosphere. I find dining and conversation important. If conversation is strained because it's too loud I really don't like that. All in all Lemongrass is a clean, crisp, great place for something special.
It appeared that they were short staffed. Our server, forgot requests for water refills, soy sauce, the bill in a timely manner. The food was excellent, but will not return beca
use of the poor service. It was also very loud so that conversation was near impossible. The young woman cleaning tables ran from table to table. Just disappointing.
Might be best Asian food I've had since moving to Wisconsin 25 years ago. Service was poor and lacking, think they are thin staffed but that's not my problem. Never did get my drink that I ordered but we were in a hurry to get to the Grand theater so I didn't rock the boat. Great food though.
To start things off: this restaurant is lovely. Absolutely gorgeous in its decorating, and its atmosphere is engaging yet relaxed.
We chanced a weekend visit during the dinner rush. The staff made the night look easy; they are an incredibly talented and professional team and have pushed themselves to new heights.
The food is spectacular-- my wife says it's her favorite place for Pad Thai.
In one word: Perfection!
The waiter said the orange peel chicken was tender but it was chewy and stringy. So disappointing.
Had dinner here before a show at the Grand. We were a bit apprehensive as the reviews all over the board. We ended up with great service and some of the best food we've ever had! If I'm in Wausau again, I'll definitely return to Lemongrass!
Fully staffed, multiple tables open, terrible service.
We stopped for lunch yesterday and the food was over cooked and it all tasted like garlic nothing else. I ordered a "spice level" 3 and they didn't put any chillies in my dish at all. My water was refilled once with room temp water and no ice. We didn't get any silverware until our main dish came so we ate the appetizers with our fingers and wiped them on pants. Then we were just handed the bill and never asked if we wanted a dessert or anything else. Waste of $60 never going back (this is not the first bad experience here but definitely the last). There are way better places to eat in town that serve similar food.
One of my favorite places to eat. The food is always great and the atmosphere is very calm and fun!
Unexceptable! It took 10 minutes before being greeted by our waiter once seated. Appetizer brought out, no plates, silverware, or napkins, had to wave down our waiter. Placed our order after eating appetizer, literally took 1/2 hour to get our food, after waving down the waiter asking "if they forgot about us", and to top the cake, my food came 1st, my husband had to wait another 5 minutes for his and when his Orange peel Chicken finally came, the chicken was so overcooked he couldn't even eat the meal. Only positive take back, after mentioning the awful overcooked meal to our waiter, he did offer to talk to the Mgr and the meal was comped. Unfortunately, will never return. One more thing, it was our Anniversary dinner!
Impeccable - atmosphere, service, menu. So many great gluten free options and flavor is SO GOOD.
We love lemongrass, but today I ordered take out and the service was not acceptable. The order was supposed to be ready at 3:07, I got there at 3:10, and it took them 20 more minutes to be ready. They forgot to add a side of steam rice, and the packaging of the dishes was unstable, sliding around while driving the car. I hope they'd provide the same service for take outs as in dine ins.
Went there for dinner. The food was great and the staff was awesome. Will definitely be back
Food is usually good when I dine in. Today I decided to do a pick up and there was a piece of hair in my food. Look at your food before eating.
The Eggplant Curry was wonderful. All the flavors I was wanting in a Curry dish.
My husband also enjoyed the Pho.
Let me start out by saying the food was wonderful! We had absolutely no issues with the food! Our waiter however was rude, kept saying he would come back and then never did, but the icing on the cake was when our outdoor table was swarming with bees, we couldn’t enjoy our food that had just been brought out. I had asked the waiter when he brought the food if we could switch to an inside table, but he said there weren’t any open. We tried to tough out the bees, but could not enjoy our meal. There was another waiter that walked by, I had asked him if we could move inside, and he was more than happy to have us move to an inside table. However once we got inside our initial waiter looked angry and was like well I guess we have this table open, then sat us and left. We had to go get all of our food and drinks from the table outside because the waiter never offered to help. Like I said before, the food was great, but the service was just terrible.
We lucked out by happening upon this place as we were traveling through town. Wow, loved it! First, what drew us there was it’s open on Sunday, and they had some nice music playing at their inviting sidewalk seating area. So many delicious dishes to choose from. Enjoyed a pretty and refreshing Cucumber Fizz drink. Then we got a pad se-ieu with veggies and an assorted veggies stir fry with tofu. So flavorful and tangy!!! Generous portions too. Service was excellent— friendly and quick. Prices are quite reasonable. Will definitely come back next time we are in town!
Food is yummy and the service is great.
I’m hoping our experience is an anomaly, but for a Monday evening it shouldn’t have been as bad as it was. We ordered 3 drinks and 3 appetizers- the apps came quickly and we waited too long for the drinks.
Ordering the entrees seemed straightforward but they were out of teriyaki beef - substituted for orange beef with Thai chilis - also ordered Garlic Chicken & Shrimp with Fried Rice.
We didn’t receive the Thai chilis and they served is beef with shrimp and no fried rice … it was difficult to get the server’s attention and when we did she took the plate and blamed the kitchen.
Took another 5 minutes before the plate returned (still no fried rice) there were 5 shrimp and a very small portion of chicken despite the up charge. Asked about the fried rice and server said they were still making it. It finally arrived another 5 minutes or so later.
Overall for $150+ for four people it was grossly overpriced and the service and experience were very far off point.
Normally love lemon grass, but tonight they had 0 idea how to do their job. I understand it was very busy but we waited for over an hour without getting seated after being told it was a 15-20 minute wait.
A nice place and often busy. Outdoor seating is great, though Wausau tends to have a fair number of loud cars and the locals love their big loud trucks. So the noise, black exhaust and diesel fumes tend to interrupt conversation frequently. Food is good. Service can be slow on the patio.
Great Asian fusion restaurant. Plenty of vegetarian options.
Great food and dinning experiance
Came for sweet and sour Asian fusion with chicken or shrimp… have discontinued sweet a sour now we have no reason to come there.
Ordered for family several times a week on average. Trying to appeal to other tai restaurants to come and pick up where they left off.
Had Lunch with my daughter at Lemongrass my first time there. Omg 👌. Food was so delicious. Our Waitress super sweet. Will definitely go back.
Excellent food for a town this size! Wanted to stop on our way back through town.
Server was great, as was the food
I really wanted to like this place. When traveling to mid america is hard to find good ethnic restaurants. The ambiance here seems very good, there was lots of people, everyone was friendly and food literally took 15 min (that should have been a clue for what was to come). I’ve tasted PadThai the original, I’ve had and made original spring roles… this was not them. Warm spring roles? Weird, sweet… all the sauces were very sweet and chuncky guaranteed store bought and not made at the restaurant. Pad Thai without flat noodles? With a sauce that almost resembled a weird nutty spaghetti sauce…by the heat stored also obviously microwaved prior to sending….don’t get me wrong, it was eatable… and probably one of the causes that many Americans act up when traveling overseas - they get served what these plates actually look and taste like and they are aghast that they don’t taste like their local “Asian food”!—- I know it’s supposed to be “fusion”… they just sadly forgot the Asian part….
The food is great, the servers are on point. Highly recommend the filet ramen, shrimp appetizer and the Pad See ew. The pad see ew is my favorite but for the money the pho is where it’s at.
"A Disappointment in Every Bite"
I gave this place two chances, drawn in by positive reviews and word of mouth, but both times were equally disappointing. The food was so bad it was almost comical.
First, let's talk about the Pad Thai. Any respectable Asian restaurant should know that tamarind is a key ingredient. Instead, they used paprika—a cheap trick for those who can't be bothered to source tamarind. What kind of Thai place doesn't even get the basics right? It was clearly made with red chili paste, paprika, and overcooked egg noodles, which were utterly devoid of tamarind. There were no crushed peanuts or bean sprouts, the standard fare for a pad Thai. There are supposed to be 5 flavors to a pad Thai sauce, and all this one had was vomit.
This dish tasted like my Polish cousins had taken a week-long trip to Bangkok and returned thinking they could cook Thai food.
Look at the ingredients to each of their menu items. The menu boasts "special sauce" for their main dishes, but it's just soy sauce mixed with garlic and maybe a splash of hoisin. Nothing Asian-inspired or fusion about that, just picked whatever was left in the spice aisle felt like.
The egg rolls? Burnt and flavorless, accompanied by a dipping sauce that was sweet and sour with chili flakes. The ribeye was on the verge of going bad—I took one small bite, thinking maybe I just smelled something off from a passerby, but nope. The meat was clearly about 1 day from turning to bad.
The only thing that resembled Asian inspiration was the pho broth. It wasn't the best I've had, but it was the one item that didn't make me regret my decision to dine there.
Wausau, wake up! This place is fooling you with its atmosphere while serving subpar, semi-edible food. There are far better options for delicious Thai and Asian cuisine, just around the corner at Peking Duck or PHO 76. Let's support those who genuinely care about their culinary heritage and stop pretending this place is the best Asian food in town. It's a joke, and Wausau, you sure are the butt of it right now.
Food was excellent and you got enough to make sure you left full.
Tasty food, great service, and lovely atmosphere. Jack was our server and he was very quick and attentive.
Food was good. Was with a group and we were sharing. Liked everything we ordered.
Great food, great atmosphere, great people and one of the few places that was open when we arrived in town.
Never come here with children. Items on the menu not available. No flexibility to help the children. Chef refused to make any changes from the menu
Good
The food is great as well as the general decor it's asian themed and has amazing service and staff. The only thing to complain about is the time it takes to get your food but that makes perfect sense because they take time putting every thing together and make it perfect
We came for our anniversary and loved the atmosphere. There happened to be 3 birthdays celebrated while there and they have asian drums on the wall that they play and the dessert had a large firework on it! Quite exciting!
My husband ordered the Filet Pho and I had the Pad Thai with Chicken. Our daughter ordered the Orange Peel Chicken. We all brought food home with us because there was just so much! The orange peel chicken was amazingly crispy even with the delicious sauce it was covered in. Would definitely order it again. I thoroughly enjoyed the Pad Thai and my husband had fun eating his Pho.
Our favorite items were the fried churro dessert and the raspberry vodka cocktail (can't remember the name!).
We did also try the pork eggrolls and they were good, but we probably wouldn't order them again. Service was great and we'd definitely come back for another special occasion.
Stopped in there on a Tuesday afternoon. We are visitors of Wausau for the first time. This was the only place that was open near us. We had a waiter named Dominic that was exceptional! The food was wonderful! Thank you for the hospitality! From Kenosha couple
Amazing! Food was fast and delicious! Worth every penny and the service was excellent!
We got seated fairly quickly. However, it took forever for the waiter to come take our order. I believe someone did mention that he was new.
I ordered Pad Thai. And my friend ordered red curry. In my opinion, the curry was on the sweeter side. The Pad Thai was lacking in flavor. I didn't get hit with that sweetness, that sourness, and that savory balance that I usually find in Pad Thai.
I really want to be able to give this place 5 stars, I really do...
When they first opened up it was definitely a 5 star worthy place, but in recent years there's always SOMETHING that takes away from my experience. I keep going back because the food is excellent. But...
My last several visits I have had to send glasses back for being chipped. Most of their plateware is also chipped. I've stopped sending them back because chances are the next plate will also be chipped. Just gotta take the risk of swallowing some ceramic with your food, I guess...
In that same vein, I have had to send drinks back for having hairs in them. Drinks. This has happened on multiple occasions.
The staff is often rude and snotty. One specific example comes to mind right now, I was in there with family members, about 10 of us for lunch. The server laid down their trio of sauces on the table and was particularly affronted when I asked them to explain the various sauces and their spiciness level to my family, as if we should just "know" (and no, none of the containers were even labeled).
Every time you order a meal, they ask you for your preferred spiciness level on a scale of 1-4--you can say "2" today and next time you go "2" will be a completely different level of spicy. This is minor to me but don't offer the spiciness scale if you cannot keep it consistent. My biggest issues are with service.
The most recent time I was in there, there were two people working the host stand. One person greeted my party and then abruptly stopped interacting with us to take a to-go order on the phone. Not sure what the purpose of having two people at the host stand then, but we awkwardly stood there for a few minutes while the host took the phone call, and then chatted to the other host about said phone call....then, after we ordered and received our food, ten minutes goes by and our server is asking us if we want boxes when we are clearly still eating. We declined the boxes saying we were still eating. After another 10 minutes the server comes by and just drops boxes on the table. It was pretty obvious that they were trying to rush us out. We were not done eating by any means but no longer felt welcome. We did not even finish our first round of drinks but did not want to be in that environment anymore so we boxed up and left.
Lemongrass is not cheap by any means and that last visit left a really sour taste in my mouth. If I feel like eating their food again, it will probably be a to-go order (which the employees seem to prioritize anyway). Such a shame. I wish the service provided matched the prices on the menu, but it simply does not, and this has been reflected over 5-6 visits over the last two years.
Good food, they actually put heat into the meals! Spring rolls and then Pad Thai with chicken for me and yellow curry for partner.
Absolutely beautiful place to dine in at, even to order out. Ive had the Pho and the fried rice, they are very delicious. What I loved most when I dined in with family and friends, was that they worked very well with my picky eater child. Food is great and will be back again. Service is great as well.
Went here most recently for my birthday. Always amazing food! Consistent and great quality! They celebrated my birthday with a free dessert 🍨 and playing the wall drums for me. The dessert even had a sparkler 🎇 in it! So fun!
A surprising find. Great Asian food. This is not your typical Asian buffet place. Large menu with lots to explore. Exceptionally fresh ingredients presented beautifully. We live 2 hours away so we can't make it a regular go to, but we will be back.
This was my first time here and the food was so good! You got to choose how spicy you wanted your food from a scale of 1-4. 1 being hardly spicy and 4 being super spicy. I got a 2 and it was perfect for someone who likes a little spice but doesn't want their mouth to be on fire. The inside was beautiful and our waiter was very attentive and nice. The picture attached is after I already started eating. Their portions are HUGE.
Four dinners all very much enjoyed our food. I had pad Thai gaeng daeng, basically pad Thai with a curry sauce, and found it really interesting. The server warned it was spicy; there was a little, but I didn't find it challenging.
We came in without a reservation, were advised of a 20 minute wait, and were seated more quickly.
It was good...Are waiter was to fast and felt like we were a little rushed but was ok.
Tonight we brought guests for dinner at Lemongrass, much to our disappointment. We normally love Lemongrass and frequently bring business guests and out of town visitors in for a meal. The waiter we got, first waited 10 minutes for soda, the bar drinks came to the table right away but incorrect. Second, we received half our appetizers then 15 minutes later we received the second half…wrong appetizers and one we didn’t order. We tried explaining but he didn’t speak English well and didn’t understand, so nothing fixed. Then dinner came and one of our orders was wrong and had to be redone, which finally arrived half way through the meal. Then the bill came, everything was fully charged including the items we didn’t order. Very disappointing since when we have Jack as a waiter everything arrives timely and correct the first time. If we go back I will be specially asking for Jack as a waiter. Disappointed and unimpressed.
We came here for our anniversary and they really made us feel special. Thank you so much Susan and staff!!! Your food is also amazing 😁
Had lunch there on Monday,2nd time I’ve been there, and just like the 1st time the food was fantastic! But even better than the food was the service. Our server,Jack, was the absolute best! Very knowledgeable about all the food and he was an absolute delight.
Great food service and atmosphere.
Food was good, really no better than most restaurants we go to that have low to mid ranged price menus. Our waitress was good, polite. The music was horrible and there was a lot of debris on the floor and small pieces on our table. We were the first ones of the day right when they opened and that should not have been a issue. We are not from Wausau and it was our first time there, We went to the side door and waited, we could see staff moving around inside but the door was locked, finally at 11:04, a man opened the door and said you know your standing at the exit our entry door is over there. It was a rude greeting from him so I called him over to our table and said perhaps you should label the door on the outside so people know that, he stated it was not his area of work. He was somewhat arrogant at best. So that set the tone for the meal which was good but not amazing. Oh, and the 10.00 low volume glasses of wine will ring up your lunch bill really quickly. It's an ok place, we won't go back.

They have the best curry ever!
The food is incredibly bland. The food isn't necessarily 'bad' just incredibly subpar and bland especially for the price. There's plenty of other restaurants in Wausau and I'd recommend going to one of those rather than here.
The Lemongrass Noodles are ridiculously good!
Very delicious food and friendly staff. Not a ton of vegan options, but the several they have are amazing.
We took our family out to celebrate my daughter’s 14th birthday. The food was absolutely amazing! Big portions and wonderful flavor. Our waiter however, never checked on us once. We had to ask for him 2 times. He didn’t take the plates away from our appetizers so our table was completely cramped. That was the only disappointing part. The waiter. I would give him zero stars if I could.
Everything about this place was great!
What a gem to find on our ski trip! Amazing food, friendly staff, and incredible atmosphere. We actually went twice on our 4 day trip because the food was so good. What an experience to be there and feel the positive energy for the Chinese New Year celebration too!
Service was great and the restaurant looks very clean. Disappointed with the food. I ordered the lemon grass wings (would recommend they were fantastic) and the pad thai gaeng daeng. The vegetables were raw and over all flavorless. I asked for a 3/4 on spicy and it was maybe mild at that. The chicken also tasted like it was stored with fish... (could be because it is cooked with shrimp) i would not recommend this dish but would recommend the restaurant
Delicious food, good service. We will definitely stop by again the next time we’re in town! We both chose noodle dishes, mine was pad Thai with red curry and it was excellent - lots of vegetables, egg, and shrimp. They add lots of flavor to their dishes without them being over salty or sugary. My only complaint would be the noise - it has very high ceilings and talking at a normal level is amplified. It was difficult to hear the people I was sitting with. The food and atmosphere were 10/10!
Absolutely outstanding. Wish we had this closer to Marshfield. I have been missing good ethnic food since moving to Marshfield. I had grilled spring roll and beef Pho. It was delicious.
I’ve loved the experience and food I’ve had here over the course of several visits. Menu is diverse and so interesting with a ton of gluten free options. I just wish they took reservations. There is always a wait, deservedly so the food is sublime, but if you have to be somewhere - like a show - it’s hard to go there as you can’t plan your time out.
Atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. Food was delicious with good portions. Our server Charles was friendly and accomidating. Our first time here and we will definitely be back. Nice to have a restaurant like this available.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The Ribeye added to the Cashew Nut Stir Fry was VERY good
Excellent dinner and great service! A little loud but I think that’s the vibe they are going for! Excited to go back! My food was 10/10!
Really love this place. The atmosphere is OK. The food is excellent. If I had to complain though, it would be about the spice. Every time I ask for spicy it’s never spicy lol. Something must be wrong with their peppers selection.
Really nice atmosphere and the food was excellent
Very good food and great service.
Absolutely amazing food. Not sure if it was totally authentic, will let others comment on that. What I can say is that the food was delicious, the flavors balanced, and the presentation was well done. Will definitely be coming back.
The best Asian food in Wausau
This restaurant is one of my favs! The atmosphere is gorgeous! The staff is so friendly and cautious with allergies, etc. Sometimes, there is a long wait for drinks, but they are so good it makes up for it. The Ribeye Pho is delicious and perfect for a chilly day. The Ribeye Garlic Noodles are so flavorful with the right amount of spice. The servers ask what level of spice you are comfortable with for your meal, so that's very accommodating for those who don't like spice or can't have it. I like going on my birthday because you get a special treat and they play the drums...yes the drums. You have to experience it for yourself, so run to Lemongrass!
Beautiful restaurant with food Thai and other Asian food!
Terrible!
Wow, incredible food. All 3 meals were served quickly, were very tasty & all to our specs! Amber's a great hostess & our waiter was super nice, helpful & attentive! I forgot his name, but he's the handsome man who plays clarinet & has his MBA. THANK HIM FOR US!
Back last night. Just when I thought it couldn't be any better, our food was outstanding! The pot stickers are the best I've had in a looong time. My dining partner spends time in SE Asia, wrote a cookbook & was very impressed! I will be back. Often! Thank you, Xavier!
We had a group of 12 in private back room. Very nice could have conversations and be heard. One waitress for our group. She did fine, but it was not outstanding. We had to ask her a couple of times for items twice. No biggie. Orange chicken is deep fried and overdone. Huge portion. The salad my husband ordered was spicy level 2. It's was not very tasty. Spring rolls very bland. But peanut sauce was very good. Ribeye steak salad was chewer that day, then expected. But the calamari and egg rolls were outstanding.
The. Panang curry soup is a triumph! It arrived hot and huge with free rice. The spicy sauce of simmered coconut milk was delicious and all the vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked. My first time ordering from Lemongrass and certainly not the last.
This photo shows what's left after two servings. You can choose what they put in the pot, and also the level of spiciness. Adaptable for all tastes. Great for vegetarians like me .Good value indeed!!
