High quality food. THE BEST Holy Basil (tofu) and one of the best drunken noodles!!! Didn’t like having to pay $2 EXTRA for chicken as well but it’s worth it once in a while. The Thai tea was WOW quality lol.
Even came back second time in one day (second time with my darling) because first time I had just the Holy Basil. Was so good.
If you’re looking for delicious and convenient food in the Milwaukee Public Market, look no further than Thai-namite! This delightful spot offers an incredible array of sushi and Thai dishes that are perfect for a quick grab-and-go meal.
One of the highlights of our visits has been the wonderful quick grab-and-go items. Their spring rolls and pot stickers are simply fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a snack or light meal. But our absolute favorites are the steam buns! They are incredibly soft, packed with delicious fillings, and always hit the spot.
What truly sets Thai-namite apart is the exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready with great recommendations. Their enthusiasm for the food really adds to the experience and makes you feel welcome.
I highly recommend checking out Thai-namite if you're in the area. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, Thai food, or just a quick bite, you won’t be disappointed. This place has quickly become one of our go-to spots, and we can’t wait to return for more delicious eats!
One of the best stops for lunch to go / pick up in the 3rd ward area downtown.
The lunch specials are a good go-to. You can get one or two entrees. It’s been my go to, but today I did notice the price was $3 more than what was marketed on their chalkboard.
Grab a meal to go, stay at their bar, or take it upstairs. You can park in the public market and get a free 1 hour voucher as long as you save your receipt.
Food wasn’t good at all. The service was a not even remotely good. The person taking order was rude and seem to just hate working there. The dude making sushi seem like he didn’t want to be there. No smiles or good vibes coming from this staff. Overall, horrible vibe from them. We still went cause my friend wanted to try it but place was not even good for the money. Terrible, and definitely would not recommend. Food doesn’t look appealing and cleanliness from the food area is questionable.
I love this place. I work nearby and I've had countless great lunches here. The yellow curry is delicous, as is the sushi. Rose is a delightful person and I'm always happy to see her there. Thanks much!

Fast, inexpensive, tasty
Green curry has good flavor but barely any chicken. The rice was overcooked and mushy.
Pad Thai was terrible. Chicken was dry. Wasn't even made with the correct type of noodle
The food was all burnt when I got it and it took really long
I think they make their pad Thai with ketchup. It was one of the worst I’ve ever had.

I’ve never seen so many bamboo shoots in a meal that was supposed to be a chicken curry. I mean literally an odd amount of bamboo shoots and almost no chicken. So mostly I paid quite a bit for rice and sauce and bamboo slices. My wife’s meal was equally mediocre. Which is odd as we’ve eaten here before and came back because our first experience was good …unless there was a different Thai place in the market? If it was cheaper I’d feel less bad about the meal but it wasn’t great.
We were in Milwaukee for a quick visit and stopped by the Public Market for a quick meal. I ordered a Poke Bowl and my husband got a Pad Thai. To our disappointment, the food was AWFUL!!! 😞 The rice in the poke bowl was wet, sticky and soggy, and the toppings were WAY too salty! My husband’s Pad Thai was a bowl of pasta mixed with ketchup 😔😔😔 we regretted ordering here, though we loved the atmosphere of the Public Market.
Would not recommend this place to anyone
I’ve had the pad thai from here a few times, it’s always really greasy and sticky every time I try it. Have not tried their other menu items, I would not recommend the pad thai

The green curry with tofu, fried rolls and gyoza are delightful, and the employees are quite professional. Can't wait to try more stuff!
Delicious and reasonably priced food!
Delicious! The sweet tea is amazing too.
Had a nice conversation with the woman at the register, and she helped me decide which spice level would be best, I went with a 2 and if you like spice, I definitely recommend this level.
It was really easy for me to order and find food that fit my vegan diet. The red curry was really rich, flavorful, and filling. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Milwaukee.
Got the cream cheese veggie maki roll, which tasted no different than an avacado/cucumber roll. The roll was overpriced ($7) for six small pieces. You would have a better experience going to a sit down sushi restaurant than the market.
AVOID!!!! Told us there was no public drinking fountain in the entire market just to try and sell us $5 bottle of water
Ordered the drunken noodles and some crab rangoons and I enjoyed everything! workers were very nice and helpful. Would come again (:
delicious pad see iew and fresh rolls. reasonable prices and quick service too.
The fresh rolls are so good! I highly recommend!
The sushi it’s really good nothing bad to say about that 10/10 but the cashier gave me an attitude like if she didn’t want to attend me.
Got there at 7:55 pm the other day (they close at 8) and didn't get served :( Besides that, the spring rolls I had the week before were super good! More noodles than I'm used to in a spring roll and I wish it had more vegetables, but the sauce is what did it for me. Sweet and savory, the perfect pairing for the roll.
I'm at home puking my guts out from their food. Save yourself the misery. Eat ANYWHERE else.
I got the pad thai.
Ordered the rainbow maki and my friend ordered the spicy salmon and both rolls were amazing. The salmon tasted so fresh and the sauce was also great!
I was looking for a yummy quick bite to eat at the market and found it here! I asked if they recommended the pad Thai or the fried rice before ordering and I’m so happy I got the fried rice with pork. For $13 I had the perfect proportion of pork to fried rice and it was as fresh as fresh could be. I was told a 15 minute wait and it really only took 5 minutes. I ate at 3pm on a Friday and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Taste of the pad Thai was on point. The noodles need to be thicker and didn’t come with a lime which comes with pad Thai traditionally.
Food wasn’t good at all. The service was a not even remotely good. The person taking order was rude and seem to just hate working there. The dude making sushi seem like he didn’t want to be there. Pad see ew was a little bit sweet and soy saucey for my taste. The fresh rolls were bland (maybe I’m biased because of my Southeast Asian background lol) and were missing some mints/cilantro.
I got caterpillar from my food.
Good food. Good price.
The food just didn't look appealing so I went somewhere else for lunch
The sauce of drunken noodle was a bit sweet and not my favorite. Also wished it had come with more veggies. The spice level 3 is so hot that it will make your eyes water! They do have great service though and seemed to be very popular - think I waited almost half an hour for my food.
They sell fried rice and Japanese food too so you can get a taste of a lot of things there.
We loved our dishes and taste was exceptional. It is small but cozy place. Quality of food was overwhelmingly good. If you are up for Asian cuisine this is the place. Fresh ingredients and friendly service. Highly recommend for lunch.
Unexpectedly good thai food
I had the chicken pad Thai which is all I order anytime I order Thai food. It was not the greatest.
I travel every month and I always order the chicken Pad Thai. This is my 3rd time in Milwaukee and have tried over 5 different Thai restaurants and so far the pad Thai at Siam Thai has been the best one.
I’m sure this place has other good items— just thought I’d informed you pad Thai lovers this place’s pad thai is not that great.
I had a pleasant experience ordering take-out from Thainamite in the Public Market for lunch. I’ve eaten there in person, but this time I used the Ritual app. It was handy to order, but a little awkward on the pick-up. We had to stand in front of the touch screen for a few minutes before we were acknowledged, although that is what you are supposed to do. Anyways, it was lunch time so obviously busy, but it would have been nice if someone had said hello or something, as we didn’t know if we were picking up our orders the way we should.
Anyways, on to the food. I selected the Chicken Satay appetizer and the Fresh Rolls. The Chicken Satay was tasty – the chicken was nice and tender, and the sauce was pleasant. The little shot of cucumbers in vinegar that came alongside was oddly welcome, but I do like vinegar. The Fresh Rolls were like a spring roll but with less vegetables and fried egg inside along with tofu, rice noodles, cucumber, and lettuce. On their own, they were somewhat bland, but with the sauce it was delicious; the peanut sauce is excellent.
Aside from the awkward pick-up, Thainamite is a good lunch option downtown, and is a nice choice to have when eating in the Public Market.
They have such amazing gyoza and are an easy and quick lunch option for on the go. The curry lunch special is great, and changes daily so you don’t get bored. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.
Love the food here.
Took a few bites of my meal (pork pad thai) and it's amazing! They have a 3 scale for spice, which when I was ordering, was joking that I could do a 4 or 5. They said they could do it, so I requested a 5. Love it! Thank you for working with me on the spice level, it's hard to find truly spicy food here.
Awesome lunch special spot for the weekdays when I want to walk to the glorious public market for a break. I recommend getting the volcano chicken (it’s not spicy at all) with the fresh roll.
